They were overachieving a little until now but I still see them firmly in the top 6. Liverpool, City and Leicester are probably out of their reach. Spurs and Man Utd could maybe finish above them but I see this as a fair fight among that 3 teams for the 4th spot. Arsenal is horrible this season and I expect them to continue loosing points in most of the away games. Maybe Wolves have the strength to try to push inside top 6 but I don't think so.

Anyway, if somebody wants to bet with me that Chelsea will finish outside top 6 at the end of the season I am up for it.

Another VAR travesty in Sheffield game. Line referee lifts the flag and Sheffield players stop the play. Shelvy continues to score the easy goal and even apologizes to the referee that he didn't hear the whistle. VAR kicks in and says goal is valid.

Ok, this is not VAR mistake, the only guilty party is line referee who shouldn't lift the flag unless he is 100% sure but Premier League really implemented this technology in worst possible way. It works much better in all other competitions.

Liverpool is starting without Firminho & Salah which could cause them a few hiccups in the first half, add to that Alisson suspension and they could have a tough time this evening. Everton is in very poor form but that is still Mersyside derby and not the game where I would try to rest players.

It was a terrible day betting wise. I don't think anybody who plays outright winners could have won anything today. I still have one live ticket. It is the one where I played both to score on all 4 PL matches + Werder + Barca. Now I am deciding whether to back that bet for sure win but I think I'll pass. I really hate that expression "nothing to lose" and if I was an owner of the club I would forbid my staff to ever use it. As soon as you use it you acknowledge that the opponent is much better than you. Well fuck the opponent and let them prove it on the pitch. Yes England is playing good football but they also played good football and lost against us (Croatia) in the last world cup. We are 2nd team in the world and when was the last time England brought home some medals (1966 maybe)? We also got 3rd place in France 98 and all that with the league nobody in England even herd off and population of about 4-5 million, roughly 10 times less than England.

Same goes for Belgium.

Don't get me wrong both of those teams have better players, or at least much more expensive ones then Croatia but they still have to prove they know how to play big tournaments. If we met up in a friendly I would expect Croatia to lose that match with handicap but in these circumstances I have a feeling we will get something from it.

I have a feeling that both teams wouldn't mind too much if the games ends as a draw tonight. In those situations it can be felt on the pitch and more often then not the game indeed ends with a draw. I will skip the game on my betting ticket though because this one is quite unpredictable. I'll just enjoy the game and put money on something else.
