10421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you watch a sports game that you bet? on: December 03, 2016, 02:49:48 PM
Do you watch a team that you bet while playing? or you better not watch for fear of later when the team. if I personally see the team but if the team is starting to look to lose I will turn off my television

Yes I do, Im watching it since in the first place I really love every game even I don't put a bet on it. Im talking about basketball games. Since then this is my favorite sport. Watching them while you have an active bet makes you feel intense and surprising. And since I love the game, I will finished it eventhough my bet is on lossing side. Accept any results as nothing will change if a person will just mock everytime they loss their bet.

Im enjoying the game even without a bet so imagine how much more if I have an active bet, surprises at it's finest.
10422  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: best online btc wallet on: November 29, 2016, 04:51:22 PM
hi all,

pretty new here and would like to hear your suggestions before starting. my question is: which is in yr opinion the best online btc wallet and why?

i'd like to start investing something but still not really sure on what is the best way to handle it

many thanks Smiley

Go on with hardware or desktop wallets instead and only use online wallet to take advantage of their services. Any online wallets are not recommended for storage purposes since they are prone to fraud and that is possible even for a reputable exchange.

But it doesn't mean you don't have to use them. Im just pointing out that you may use their services but refrain from storing too much coins on any kinds of exchange wallet.

If your goal of investment is meant for trading, then you must know first the risk of storing big coins at exchange site.
10423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: November 29, 2016, 04:18:41 PM
Hello Guys, I would like to know you're understanding about online gambling and real life gambling. Since here in the philippines online gambling is now illegal. I'm just curious what's the difference about this too. Why make online gambling illegal?

maybe because most online gambling is not regulated by the government and it is not tolerated to run a gambling website without any permission of the authority and you need to have a legal documents/certificate from DTI and BIR i guess. because you know they don't want you to operate a business unless they will have a benefit from it Grin.

Honestly the quoted post of yours isn't the real score here in PH. Online gambling concern of the current adminstration is for those online gambler owners that operating here in the PH without a valid authenticity under PAGCOR. All of them must comply with the rules and regulations of the government.

But for online gambling that has an operation outside the PH, people here can still access those sites. It's not prohibited.
10424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 29, 2016, 08:37:16 AM
The Chicago Bulls announced that point guard Michael Carter-Williams will miss another 4–6 weeks with a wrist injury. He has not played since Halloween.

Looks like Bulls isn't getting the benefits supposedly they are getting after acquiring this player. MCW is a good additional from their fast phase lineup together with Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo. Alongside Jimmy Butler, who is sharing the spotlight now with those other players in the league who has a nice average stats per game (currently at  25.8 points per game).

Hopefully after MCW recovers from injury, he can give a Bulls a nice reward.
10425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make your first bets safely on: November 29, 2016, 06:54:08 AM

So, if you bet with your first 5k, I suggest you ODD 3 and multiplier 51%, do it until you get 250 and stop. And wait, if you see you're getting closer to the "safe bets" stop it in the first win!!

While facing the house edge of any gambling sites, chances of getting the exact scenario you mentioned might not happen. In such cases like that, what will the newbie will do now?

The guide was facing only the one direction and that is thru wins which is not always possible in terms of playing with gambling games that facing the house edge system.

There is no beginners guide or strategy In my own view in terms of playing gambling with those house edge games but rather things to consider before starting a gambling.
10426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone recommend a site to start trading altcoins? on: November 29, 2016, 06:21:17 AM
Can someone recommend a site to start trading altcoins? I'm looking for one that is trusted and has a good variety of coins.

I'd recommend you the yobit website, their aupport ia a little bad but they have a ton of alt-coins and adding new one as soon as they are published/announced. There may be some other webaited but I know about this one that has a vast variety of alt-coins.

I looked at their site (Yobit) and it's a little confusing, not very user friendly. If their support is shaky then I might stay away from that one.

If you chose a certain site, their interface is the first one you will look into. You are confused because you are a first timer in that site and you will have a same impression to the other site as well.

Trusted might not be the right term here since all exchanges including those big ones are prone of becoming a fraud someday. I will not recommend anythign but rather I will told you what exchanges Im currently playing in.

Poloniex - Since all coins listed here are those who have an active volumes. They are delisting coins once low volume was established in their given period of time. Their support is responsive too.

Cryptopia - Since some alts I played were not present in Poloniex, I choose this site as an alternative to play with. Also established a good trading volumes since their inception so I give them a try.
10427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 28, 2016, 07:30:01 PM
Oh what a surprise game for Philadelphia 76ers, they really gave Cleveland Cavaliers a hard game before CAVS able to sealed a win. And take note, CAVS only managed to get the lead at the last phase of the game.

What is uncommon? The 38 minutes playing time of J.R Smith with 0 productions with lots of field goal attempts. J.R Smith, like any other players, really experiencing a bad day even on his previous teams but the fact that he played for 38 minutes with 10 field goal attempts is really unusual for a player. That is the highest fg attempt ever made for a player who is scoreless for the playing time of 38 minutes.

Good thing, Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love gave CAVS a monster stats and grab the win.
10428  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A list of bad sites? on: November 28, 2016, 07:13:07 PM
Here's a list of scam sites(user generated) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326821.0
Another way would be using the search function  on the forum, see if it turns up scam accusation threads or you could directly go to the scam accusation section and look through it. Googling would also turn up some.

I went to add the domain I had listed in this thread (won't list it again as some one accused me of trying to promote it) to the thread you listed but it appears that doublers are already so common to be a scam that they don't want them added. I guess this just helps to show how little I do know still about cryptocurrency in general, but I am learning.

At least you have some idea now about that thing and as time passes, you will enhanced your knowledge in the world of cryptocurrency. By maximizing your common sense you will sense or automatically known if a site is a shit one and will never gave you a good output in terms of long term investment.

Like I said, work to earn rather than relying on those shit site with shit returns promised. There are lots of opportunities to earn bitcoin if we think outside the box or should I say, much better if you will remove the box.

How about the Portland Vs Rockets game? Any tips?
Just go for the over, sure it's going to be a intense game for the best two offensive team in the west.

There's a reason why the line is as high as 224. they'll sure gonna hit that, or maybe if this game will be close you see some overtime happening. Portland are good in making game goes to OT.
This bet should hit, currently the game was close and 3rd q is almost over and they already have a combined score of 189 points, it's going to be manageable for both teams to score 50 points in fourth quarter. Easy money for this one, and congrats on the winning guy.

Houston Rockets 130 Portland Trail Blazers 114

A very high scoring game and it surpass the Over 224 points. And take note that points made are distibiuted well. There are lots of players who able to obtained a double digit points for both teams so we saw and high scoring game like that.
10431  Other / Meta / Re: A warning automatically injected into a PM by the forum system on: November 28, 2016, 04:06:22 AM
I remember back before this feature is implanted, there was a case where someone create a new account with a similar name to theymos (administrator and advertising auction manager) and PM one of the successful bidder an address to send his/her payment to. Without verifying the username of the sender, the bidder actually send about 1 BTC the the address.

Sometime later, this feature was implanted to "alert" people that PMs is actually send by a newbie. Hence, preventing similar type of scam.

* I am not sure if my story is correct but that is what I read on the auction topic. I can't seem to find the link to the auction. Someone who know this, kindly verify (and correct my story) and provide a link if possible.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1029623.msg11217900#msg11217900

Yes the victim here has a fault too and it was admitted. So to prevent future problems, at least, theymos implemented it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1043941.0

OP should realized this now so better deal with the current implementation of that warning than to cry out loud because of own feeling.

Being a first time user of this forum doesn't mean I or anyone else are "imposters". As a new member of this forum doesn't mean I am a newbie or unexperienced. Soon being 72 years old and a professional in the computer business since -79, I feel offended by seeing this message injected into a PM to another member of this forum.

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

I think it is offensive and quite rude to assume that new members are imposters. Forum admins could do better than this, and I suggest a better treatment of forum newcomers.

Assuming your statement about profession and status is true, it can only applied in your case but how about others? With all your respect, do you think every newbie here has the same status as yours? You want the forum to adjust because of your own concern?

Deal with your feelings about that. There are lots of newly made accounts that has a purpose of doing shit to others. What if a "good" newbies encountered those sweet messages by a shit newbie? Chances of falling in a trap is possible.

You are wrong. The profit is not guaranteed. In fact, the risk of profit is quite high for casino. However, with high risk, it come with high rewards too. Although the house edge is only 1%, the profit can be quite impressive. Someone already have got 35% profit just by investing for 3 months.

"Someone" so basically it's not the majority thing that will happen to every bankroll investors because if does then we can saw many gamblers here claiming that investing in a gambling site bankroll is really interesting.

And yes high risk comes with high rewards that's why to be able to see some good profits out of investing in a gambling sites bankroll, we need to put some decent amount. Since it's long term investment make it worth. Putting small or average amount to consider will not bring an investor to a decent profit even they have to wait for many years while their idle coins is on a certain gambling site.
10435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best alternative to bitcoins on: November 28, 2016, 12:05:34 AM
hello everyone, i would like to invest in cryptocurrencies apart from bitcoins which cryptocurrency is advisable to invest in

Aside from bitcoin, there is no other crypto that can considered as "advisable" to invest in since other alts can't reached what is the price b behaviour status of bitcoin today. Yes there will be probably other alts that can established a good price but for me I don't considered that as enough basis to think that a certain alt will share it's value from bitcoin.

Advices might harm you since altcoin investment is really risky even with a crypto that has a good promise of developments in the future. Even looking at those top crypto at coinmarket.com or any related site won't help since "advice" must be come with a good output. What you must do is to play with the alts instead. Test and put a small amount and see how far it will goes and check the outputs. Other traders also participate in an ICO where profits are come and go. Some able to ride the pump but others aren't. This is how altcoin trades work, playing with the risk.

Anyways you didn't come back yet to check this concern of yours.
10436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 27, 2016, 11:44:19 PM
Another record made by Russell Westbrook by doing his seventh triple-double of the season on a recent win over the Detroit Pistons. What interesting here is, the NBA is just on the first phase of the season so expect some more records set by this guy. He is really eyeing for the MVP spot and Im sure he is really trying hard to enter the top 3.

http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/oklahoma-city-thunder-russell-westbrook-triple-double-oscar-robertson-season-average-nba-history-record-112616

I noticed that 2016-2017 season gives us new records set. What is next? Still have many games remaining and Im sure some unexpected records will surprised us.

Westbrook if remain healthy throughout the season will definitely hit more triple doubles, he is everything in his team and without him his team is nothing. This guy is taking over everything as you can see base on his record, but the question now is, will his triple double record can keep the OKC to the playoffs?

Hope his hard play doesn't burn them in the end. Him being their everything man could bite them in crunch time if he gets hurt or decides he's done with OKC. Or even if OKC decides to rebuild now that KD is gone.

Just do a rampage everytime he is on the coutr. Forget those injuries since it will bring him regrets. He is under motivation now to prove that Oklahoma City Thunders can cope up with the league even without Kevin Durant. Im sure OKC will do something to pay back that "hard play" he is doing. For now I don't see he will left the team because of tiredness just like Kevin Garnett did back in Minnesota Timberwolves days where frustation is the reason why he left.

Im sure so that every of his teammates are doing what they can to help RW out. Let's just see.
10437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Site with predictions about Sports Gambling on: November 27, 2016, 09:08:04 AM
Do anyone know a site with an expert predictions about games results?

Predictions so it means unaccurate one. Also what particular games you are looking for? In it's in general then you are wasting money. Bet only on the one you have knowledge of.

There are lots of tipster thread here but I don't consider them as a helpful one (only in the games or sports I know). Why? They are just picking without analyzation especially in the games I really have knowledge. You can take them as a reference instead since you are only looking for a prediction.

Do anyone know a site with an expert predictions about games results?

What do you mean by experts? There were a few threads here, trying to create a group to buy very expensive tips.
Some tipsters would charge 500 euros or more per month for their tips, and they would by them in group and share the tips to be less expensive.

You really nailed it.

10439  Economy / Speculation / Re: voting: $750 in 1/12/2016? on: November 27, 2016, 08:35:12 AM
i am having some opinions about if the bitcoin goes to the $750 at the beginning of December:
there are more companies using bitcoin related security services, and/or the termination of 500/1000 old Indian Rupee notes are not yet being eased.

guess what, don't be panic on buying excessive bitcoins right now, don't be a greedy. if you bought bitcoins, better go long.

Actually for a bitcoiner that will buy at the current rate, they really should have to go long pointing to the possible price movement next month until the first quarter next year. During the last quarter of any year, we can expect some tremendous price drop due to holidays or any related thing where most of the people are using money.

But as always, past performance can't dictate the future output so the expected thing to happen in the last quarter of this year might not be the same as what happen as it was.

I don't mind touching the point of $750 or above as long as the correction price will maintained at around $700 everytime there is a sudden price decrease.

I have been trading forex for the past 8years, my experience is that; money management is best principles trader has to learn I mean a must learn if he what to succeed in trading. Money management principle make me see forex trading as a business and not gambling or lottery. More so money management in trading take fears and emotions out of trading. My question is  what are your best strategies of forex trading.

Obviously money management is a one of the must thing to do and it's a common way to execute when you are in any kinds of money investment well of course especially if a person is doing forex trading or any kinds of assets trades. It's not a strategy but rather main thing to place on the table. And besides when you are in a trading activity, you are eyeing for a profits so it means you are treating the trades seriously and not as a gambling or in an entertainment view.

Everyone have different so called strategies. More importantly, a strategy of theirs must maintained their winning streak or should I say should give them more profits than a loss one.

In your 8 years experience I will assume you really built a great experience and I know others want to see your other strategies too.
