10443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About Transaction Fees on: February 13, 2014, 12:45:46 AM

Well, with bitcoin-qt, you can't really send a zero-fee tx unless it is a high-priority one.
You will need to play with raw tx Cheesy

But, you can create a zero-fee tx very easily with Electrum Smiley

as I remember in december 2013 I was sending transaction from Bitcoin-qt with 0 fee.

I sent 0.0001 BTC to try how long does it take to trasfer.

Hmm it is going to be hard to find tx, because I had so many wallets ...

I haven't got qt installed, I can't give it a try Smiley

I might be wrong about this.

10444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greed driving bitcoin... on: February 13, 2014, 12:43:52 AM
Where ever you will find a man you will find greed.

That's how our strange and mysterious world works..

I wish there was no greed - but... seems impossible.

There will be always someone who will want more for himself - less for others.

Sharing.... sometimes comes hard.
10445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About Transaction Fees on: February 13, 2014, 12:39:42 AM
Is there an exchange or provider that actually charge zero transaction fee?

Just curious...  Smiley

Even blockchain charges 0,0001

Like I say - you can use Bitcoin-qt and pay 0.00000000BTC
but you might risk a very very long transaction confirmation time.

and again like I sad before: 0.0001BTC fee is like uhm 0.09$ ?

10448  Other / Off-topic / Re: Blockchain and Bitcoin wallet--> different balances on: February 13, 2014, 12:28:43 AM
So blockchain and blockr.io say that my balance is 0.23 Bitcoins, and my wallet says it's 0.21 bitcoins  Undecided

why is this so?

Is it fully synched?

seems like your wallet is not synchronized.

is it pc wallet? android?
reset blockchain - should get same resoults.

what kind of wallet you are using?

10449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About Transaction Fees on: February 13, 2014, 12:23:44 AM
Wheres the fees BTC went ?

Bitcoin transactions are confirmed by miners.
Miners let their hardware to work for bitcoin network.
As a reward - for using hardware, power, and time miners get rewards.

We - when we use bitcoin, for each transaction we (should) pay a fee (you don't have to pay a fee - if you are using Bitcoin-qt for ex. you can put 0 fee)

What your fee does : when you send a bitcoin transaction it's size depend on how much you send.
If for example you send 0.0001BTC and you will not pay a fee, your transaction is going to be smaller that for
example 0.02BTC. So to confirm your transaction without fee you will need to wait a much longer.

Minimum fee 0.0001BTC give you guaranty that your transaction is going to be confirmed in couple of minutes (in most cases)

So from your fee miners get rewards too. And they can mine better for BTCbitcoinBTC network.

You should support miners.

Minimum fee of 0.001BTC is like nothing.
Compare it to bank abroad moneytransfer or any moneytransfer company.

10452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's stop all transactions, right now! on: February 12, 2014, 11:44:00 PM
I understand it can't be with BTC where there isn't a regulator, but we shall not fear, nor be surprised if at times, there are things we do not understand, or that things are causing reactions we hadn't expected, so much that the safest thing to do may be to stop everyhting.

I called Satoshi.  He turned the master bitcoin key to off so blockchain should be stopping shortly.  Thanks for the heads up that was a close one.

in 10..9..8..7...

Oh look Smiley blockchain has stopped Cheesy

When I was sitting in toilet I though - if (just a sci-fi comedy scenario) all transactions all over the world would stop -
Poland will use Bitcoin anyway Tongue till the world end Tongue

As long as it is p2p xD they cannot stop us!

Localbitcoins is safe and quite well protected for anonymity and allow you to buy with a bank transfer, other online payments or face-to-face deals with locals.

localbitcoins is safe, only if you trades with those well-trusted traders.
I have seen a few reports here that people receiving wire transfer have been chargeback after releasing the bitcoin.

When buying Bitcoin from a person you should always take care of your security at most.

I prefer to buy bitcoin @ exchanges.

Localbitcoins is good as long as you keep yourself secure.
Your ID's, Passwd, and money Smiley

http://www.financegirl.co.uk/8-ways-to-spend-bitcoins/

A post I wrote about different places that were accepting Bitcoins, and the various country policies governing them at the time. A fun read, but likely quite uninformative for any veterans of Bitcoins. The article is more aimed at newer users, like me, who are just getting their feet wet and seeing how things work.

Nice Smiley

Keep coming more and more.
That's what I was waiting for Smiley

Global use and need of Bitcoin is near.
10457  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 2 BITCOINS FOR SALE VIA SKRILL on: February 12, 2014, 11:10:06 PM
Hey, I have 2 bitcoins to sell.

I need to sell asap so I am willing to sell for £300 for all, I understand as I am new I won't be trusted but I am willing to do what ever is necessary to prove I am legit.  However I do need to sell as soon as possible.  Please message me if you are interested and are able to pay via skrill.

Thanks

(Sorry I am not selling anything less than the 2 bitcoins. (it is exactly 2.0455))

Smiley Hmmm I wouldn't trust anyone with 1 post and selling BTC via Skrill Cheesy

Why you just dont sell it on exchange?

Is it likely that it will go down anytime soon?  No.

10459  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Could the Bitcoin difficulty go down? on: February 12, 2014, 11:00:39 PM
I am just wondering if a lot of miners would stop mining (I know this is next to impossible) could the bitcoin difficulty go down instead of up? Thanks

Yes. That is normal. You can see all time charts of BTC diff and you can clearly see that it just a value that might go up or down.
