10441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your favorite gambling games? on: November 26, 2016, 07:02:17 PM
I really like playing dice casino games as it's the most common gambling game and the easiest to play. Second would either be 21 or the plinko style ones. The plinko ones are nice because even if you lose, you don't lose all of your BTC. But there is a transaction fee everytime you send it.
dice always be number one choice for most gambler , but i think that game like for a lazy people . there is no fun , no skills involved , just nothing . plinko are better game honestly. and balckjack always be favorite game for everyone i believe.

Dice always be the main choice? I see no as every gambler have different preferences. The moment they saw a certain gambling game for the first time and they want to play then that's it. And about that lazy thing in dice, it's not like that. It's just that they want to play to that game, that's all and no other reason. Plinko is somehow the same as dice in terms of "watching" part.

And there is fun even for those gambling game without the needs of skills and that is everytime a gambler made a profit. Smiley
10442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Friendly Countries on: November 26, 2016, 06:43:44 PM
It's amazing that a lot of countries are really into Bitcoin like US, UK, Canada, etc. It's also saddening that countries do not take it as an advantage to improve the economy and the lives of the people. I don't really understand why? Are they scared of what can happen? Or do they not see what the possibilities are with Bitcoin? They could improve the economy with Bitcoin.

From my country, the Philippines, it's starting to grow. The Bitcoin community here is growing and getting stronger. I just hope that majority that happens with the transactions here are legal.

I think the reason why this government is not taking advantage of bitcoin to improve their economy because it is against their centralized ideology.  Government want to have control on everything and they will be having a problem to control bitcoin.

Well I think bitcoin in the Philippines is still in its infancy stage.  There are only few sites that accept bitcoin.  If it is booming in the Philippines maybe because of some MLM company that taken advantage of bitcoin popularity / trend  to bait their members.

I think the reason why this government is not taking advantage of bitcoin to improve their economy because it is against their centralized ideology.  Government want to have control on everything and they will be having a problem to control bitcoin.

I see no. It's just that bitcoin is not in their priority list but of course it's already on hand by the PH BSP.

Much better if we remove those "think" since it might mislead the others. The post is general.

Well I think bitcoin in the Philippines is still in its infancy stage.  There are only few sites that accept bitcoin.  If it is booming in the Philippines maybe because of some MLM company that taken advantage of bitcoin popularity / trend  to bait their members.

Few sites since it's not direct payment bur rather with the use of third party. Local exchangers in the PH have many services offered so that people can use their bitcoin in various ways. That is one of the reason why people at least got an idea about bitcoin. Also some local exchangers doesn't focusing much on bitcoin services that's why people has another reason to use that exchanger resulting for bitcoin introduction then eventually an adaption.

You know the stats of those PH people joined MLM companies? If yes then you should realized that it isn't the one why bitcoin is blooming in the PH.
10443  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A list of bad sites? on: November 26, 2016, 05:57:34 PM
I am new to the entire cryptocurrency in the first place so very new to BitCoins as well. Is there a place that lists known bad sites? I learned the hard way that the idea of a doubler site is false/fake, such as http://bestdoubler.eu/ for example. They just take what you send them and that's it.

You can post a concern about a certain site in this forum (https://bitcointalk.org) and see how other users think of a particular site and wait for a review. Also there is a certain site called badbitcoin.org where all ponzis are listed in their bad list.

But what if you encountered a newly made ponzi site and there's no review after all? Then you have to maximize your knowledge in the thing called "obvious". Earning without doing nothing in a site is totally a shit. Offering you a good returns in just a short period of time for let's say "double your shit within 24 or 48 hours" or something is really unbelievable. It's should be obvious why the hell your money will grow on a certain site just by depositing and will just wait.

Work to earn rather than relying on those shit site with shit returns promised.
10444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: November 26, 2016, 05:27:50 PM
Here is the story: My dad just found out that I am storing bitcoin and he try to prevent me from using this crypto. This is absolutely the worst situation I have ever had since I started used Bitcoin. I am living in the country which bad guys abuse Bitcoin for illegal activities. Therefore, most of the people here who do not have a proper knowledge about bitcoin believe bitcoin as a stupid, dummy coin or even MLM. My dad is one of them. Any solution to solve this problem ? It is quite hard though because I am still a teenager so it is extremely difficult to persuade him
Thanks in advance

For me, I don't have to do anything to convince anyone around me that bitcoin is a trustful currency. If they look into it as a bad currency then so be it. After all, if they will see me really getting benefits from using bitcoin at regular basis then that thoughts of theirs will be changed in the future.

In your case I see it's not problem. Your father will listen to you no matter what rather than the bad news spreads around. Answer all of his doubts and questions. Like you said, bad guys there abuse bitcoin so why the hell bitcoin is the main concern here rather than those bad guys?

What is the purpose of family talks? It's the most effective when dealing with a concern between the members of the family. He should listen after you make such strong foundation and basis about your claims pointing to bitcoin.
10445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 26, 2016, 04:58:50 PM

wow that's a real deal im gonna bet on this coming game Washington Wizards vs. San Antonio Spurs im gonna all in my bitcoins to spurs and im gonna sure im gonna win this game hahaha. wish me luck. and also dude what do you use when you're gambling ? bitcoins or altcoins ? ive lost all my altcoins and planning to trade my bitcoins to altcoins.

In what kind of betting option you will bet on Wizards vs Spurs game? You are going to put all your bitcoins to Spurs so I will assumed it's a moneyline? The odds are really low for Spurs and you will need to bet a really high amount just to feel the profits. Yes chances are really high but there's other betting options where it's worth to try. Well just a friendly advice and it's up to you if you will follow since it's your bitcoin after all.

Just noticed the moneyline odds for New York Knicks is really interesting against the Charlotte Hornets. Knicks has now a 3 game winning streak and in terms of game performance they are almost the same with the Hornets but the odds offered for Knicks is quite worth to try. I wonder what is the basis for that. Maybe road records for Knicks?
10446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin Trading and Why It's risky? on: November 26, 2016, 04:43:33 PM
Trading is when you buy a altcoin for a low price and sell it  when its price comes up so you will have to keep an eye on the market.

Risks? The most common risk is the altcoins short life span, If you search in google, you will see that most altcoins got dumped in just a short period of time.

The other one is failing to predict the price, example is when a certain altcoins price is getting lower and lower so you sell it all to avoid losing money more, Sometimes the coins price might increase again.
the price increase after being dumped very far only for popular coins such as ethereum and the rest. most likely to be dead and deleted from the market after there's none activities around . would prefer cut lose rather than really losing the whole of money on just an altcoin

But sometimes due to the domino effect, after the dump, it will stay a bit then it will continue to decline in price.  Just what happened  in the first month of 2014, after the bitcoin bubble of 2013 burst.  It was dumped and due to the negative impact made by that dumped, Bitcoin price continue to fall down to sub 200 USD then eventually recover upto what it is right now.

Past performance can't guarantee future results. Also, the quoted past above is pointing to altcoin trading where we all know that price behaviour is very much different compare by doing bitcoin trades.

Always expect a massive dump after a bubble and it's always happened many times especially in bitcoin price. People minimize the possible loss or to secure profits that's why they are taking the ride everytime there is a bearish activity rather than just watched the price without doing nothing.

Making a wise decision is much better than targeting the exact thing to be executed. If people succeeds in predicting the price after making a good trading decision then they just made a wise decision.

10447  Economy / Economics / Re: Imposing tax on bitcoin on: November 25, 2016, 11:31:49 AM
What if the Internal Revenue service of the US decided to tax bitcoin transactions, what would be the possible effects on its price and the bitcoin community. Will the other governments follow?

It will take tons of deep research on how they will able to tax the "bitcoin" itself. But you know we already feel that we are already taxed just on a different form.

I already stated this in other thread, some of the legit local exchanger that is a registered company in a certain country faces all the rules applied as a company. They are the one who pays tax to the government as part of complying with the rules of the said country. Because of this, expect some additional but slight fees every transaction or services we are using in the said exchange.

Here in our country, it's present now in one of our local exchanger. But it's fine for us since the services is really great and there are lots of offered services where we can use our bitcoin thru this exchanger.
10448  Economy / Speculation / Re: There is no reason for small price changes, Stop looking! on: November 24, 2016, 03:05:36 PM
I keep seeing new topics in this board looking for reasons for rises or drops and they always have one thing in common: the change has been small.

I say any change smaller than $50 is normal with bitcoin and it is because of the normal fluctuations that any other market also has. but the range of changing is bigger with bitcoin because its market cap is much smaller than others.

what are your thoughts on this?

It's usual to see some people with thoughts like that as we have different view. Don't mind them to research what is really happening. It's their precious time after all. Honestly even a $10-$20 continous decrease in a matter of minutes or hours will bring worries to some people and will ask what is the reason behind all of that.

Well FUD are everywhere and it's up to the people how they will deal with any reasons, speculations, own analyzations etc that they will encounter.
10449  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: November 22, 2016, 11:24:58 PM
We are going to see a big surge in price and it will happen in a course of days, remember that last time we went from 600 to 1000 it took less than 15 days, so once it starts pumping and we get in the 800 territory, panic buy will kick in, 800 and 900 will go out quick and we will be sitting at 1000+, some people will panic sell at 1000+, it will correct a little, less than people think, then the people that missed the boat will jump in as soon as it goes below 1000, pushing the price to the next ATH.

Here we go again at the "last time" sequence as a basis.

Remember that past performance can't guarantee future results but can consider as good reference. Events in the past that made bitcoin reached it's ATH will never be happened again. It's a sort of new event that will happen now to reached new ATH.

But you know everyone can speculate as always. If ever you speculation will be correct, Im hoping that the correction price will established at around $900 after some big dump once it reached the line of $1000. But some traders didn't want to buy at consider high price so expect an attempt of manipulation to bring down the price much.

10451  Economy / Economics / Re: possible government regulations? on: November 22, 2016, 01:28:28 PM

And hopefully these would not happen otherwise it will be a very chaotic time for us in bitcoin community.. and once that happen we cannot do anything but to obey these regulations. So for now, I'm not thinking about it.. just do what I have to do and that is to invest and make savings.

Most of the places needs local exchanges in order for people to use their bitcoin in/on other services. For local exchanges to become more trustable and expand their services, they need to be a legit one and must comply with the government rules and regulations. They have to pay tax and follow money regulations of a certain country to protect their users so it's a must that we obey those regulations. I see it's not chaotic as long as every people concern is always on hand.

There is no universal exchanger that can process our request of converting bitcoin fiat that accepts most of country. We need a third party companies here and that is the purpose of our local exchanges. Also in some of the cases, we are using bank services in able to convert our bitcoin into fiat.

Maybe in the future and as bitcoin development is on progress we can see a changed.
10452  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: November 22, 2016, 10:43:26 AM
I voted for price increase but it isn't really good for bitcoin. It is rather good for bitcoiners. And yet I disagree that mass adoption is good for bitcoin, because thus it would have to face many problems connected with its legal status and contradiction between btc ideology and state of affairs with it.

Well as far as the government regulations is concerned, really expect a regulation in bitcoin once it will turned out to be the most used currency worldwide. With the status of bitcoin like that, we can see that mass adoption really happened if ever that time will come.

Price increase is due to Demands (Bulls = Buy) .The effect in bitcoin price due to mass adoption depends on how people will use treat their bitcoin whether for investment or currency

If in such cases that a bitcoiner will use their bitcoin just like a normal currency, there will be a dumping session regularly which will result for a stable* price.

*if ever majority of btc users will act like that

10453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin Trading and Why It's risky? on: November 22, 2016, 09:51:30 AM
no risk - no profit  Wink
Basiccaly risk and profit are directly proportional on trading and on trading we can manage the risk and we can manage the profit too,  everything depend on the system of trading that be made by the traders them selves. If the traders doesn't have it, the trading will become more high risk.

Obviously if a person wants do to trades, they must learned how to managed those possible risks so that they can accompanied their trading luck with their trading decision. And if the waves favored to them due to the fact that they able to managed those risk, they can see a sure profits at it's finest and even can bring them into long term trading.

It's not that a trader will completely abolished all the risk involved, it's impossible, they will just do some wise choice out of their deep analyzation in order to ; minimize the loss or secure profits without being a greed one.
10454  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Idea's needed for skill based gambling site. on: November 22, 2016, 09:14:11 AM
Hello everybody!

I am planning to create a skill-based bitcoin gambling game, my first idea's were Poker and Open Face Chinese.
But i like to hear which skill-based games you like to be implemented.

Their are lot of skill based games but their will be always danger of bots who are going to ruin the site, games like poker, chess, rummy and more but in that games bot can also play. But if you open sports betting site then no one can cheat but for opening sports betting site it will be very big process and fund needed high with high technicians

For poker and chess, players can do a way to check if their opponent is a real human. Devs can open up a chatbox wherein players can talk with their opponent during live game. Of course, at least, we can obviously check if our opponent is really a human being based on the way they talk. But for breaching the in-game components like hacking bot that tells what will be the next move, that is another story and needs a brainstorming process on how devs will deal with it.

Anyways no update from the OP now since the thread was started.
10455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 22, 2016, 12:01:35 AM
Bulls' Jimmy Butler, Pelicans' Anthony Davis named Players of the Week

http://www.nba.com/article/2016/11/21/players-week-jimmy-butler-anthony-davis

No doubt, they really have an impressing stats this week. Butler recorded 87 points in their 3 games this week and Davis has 101 points production. And also take note that their boards stats is really impressive.

I thought Kevin Durant will sealed the Player of the Week spot since he has also some impressive stats in their recent games.
10456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 21, 2016, 11:38:33 PM
I think we've all seen this far too many times; somebody invests in a site that has been clearly identified as a scam by others, and then comes to their forum page to ask the admin about their payment. Recent example of this is people still trying to withdraw/deposit to diggit, even though it has been over a year since the site has been confirmed to no longer be running.

Can we all just take the time to research sites and ask around before we entrust them with our money? It'll save you the pain of knowing you just gave away money you can't reclaim, and helps reduce some of the unnecessary spam on here.

Sure, we could dismiss this as the fault of the person not looking into the site, but we should always encourage each other to be wiser and ultimately help create a positive community.

Happy gambling Cheesy

There are persons that even encouraging them not to invest on those obvious shit still trying the risk. Once they saw a good returns at short period of time, they are blinded by the saying of others. There is also an event in the passed in one of my facebook group I belonged where I told one of the members there that a site he is trying to invest is really a shit. He told me that he can do anything with his money and weeks after the site shutted down.

So for me, if a person doesn't need an advice then go try for themselves and experience the actual output. It's better for me to feel for themselves the shit things just to be learned. They doesn't care for money at all since in every investment, a person must clear all things that their money will grow for a long term.
10457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 21, 2016, 11:20:06 PM
Well if you mean it is like investing in your health then yes I have an example. A friend of mine was suffering panic attacks and when he started playing poker online they all gone almost comletely. Yes, he loses some money playing poker online, but it's nothing compared to what he paid doctors before or to how much he was spending on medications.

There is nothing like that, gambling always end up badly if you keep on continuing it and how can you compare gambling to some medication? Of course health is really important in your life but there is nothing if you compare it to this kind of thing. And how is that possible to cure disease just by gambling poker, if this is for real so there wont be any sick people around the world. Really doesnt make any sense

Chances are 1 is to 100 based on my own view but still possible. It's not about curing the disease 100%, it's a damn thing to think about that, but giving a positive shock in the brain resulting to "impossible" output.

You know there is a so called event where people find some comfortability about a certain thing. In terms of health related problems, that is the missing link. It's not an assurance obviously that they can surpass the health problems but certainly makes a person feel happy and comfortable doing it. No need to believe though if on your own view it doesn't make any sense. It's just that there is an event like that and we have nothing to do with it.
10458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 21, 2016, 05:13:24 PM

Just a friendly suggestion and is not because I am wearing the sportsbet signature that I want to recommend you their website sportsbet.io.
I do also play on directbet but to tell the truth directbet offers in Over/Under category are very poor compared to what sportsbet offers in such category.
I am just starting in basketball and so far I only won a few multibets of odd 1.15 and 1.20, but want to move to asian handicap and over/under.
Speaking of AH, also there sportsbet offers much better options than directbet.

How do you say that? Yes odds are vary per gambling site but can you give examples of what you are talking about and let's compare the that poor thing in Directbet and Sportsbet?

Anyways I see it's not worth it to bet on odds 1.15 and 1.20 even you placed multiple bets to that. It's not a wise bet but if that is your strategy then it's fine.

The Lakers is at 8th seed, who would have thought? Just last season they were at the bottom.

They're building up the roster quite nicely I suppose. Looks like this isn't just another rebuilding season for them.

For the record, they currently have the best bench in the league surpassing the stats of Golden State Bench. If ever Lakers will finish a nice spot , Luke Walton might be a candidate for Coach of the Year and I see some of their bench players will sealed the title of 6th Man of the Year and Most Improved Player award.
10459  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Manipulation is real on: November 21, 2016, 02:17:55 PM
Its back to $736 right now, I'm not sure if its just normal trading influence or if there is really some manipulation going on, but if its manipulation that it seems one group wants BTC to fall while the other group wants its to rise  Huh or is that too paranoid sh*t lol

Might be influence caused by an attempt of manipulation. Yes basically riding the current trend to prevent being a "missed one". If does, then the manipulation is succesfully executed.

When there is a big price movement whether to increase or decrease, let's say minimum of $10-$15 margin movement "in just a matter of short time", it can cause a big impact. After such rapid increase, expect a some price dips and with that amount stated it can caused a tremendous price decrease while on the other hand, that amount can also triggered price increase. With people riding the waves, they are helping the trend started by those people involved in starting that trend.

Just my own view as I don't see any major news to considered as great factor why the price today behaves like that.
10460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats the most you have made from a casino investment? on: November 21, 2016, 12:36:29 PM
~snip~

Profits I got by investing in a gambling sites bankroll is really not that interesting when pointing to long term investment purposes. I currently have an active investment in just-dice (clams) for more than a year now and the profits I got there is really dissapointing so I decided not to pullout my funds there and just let it sleep. And months ago I pullout my funds at Moneypot which doesn't give me a decent return.

We are on same boat, currently i invested in Just-Dice, (i think this is one of best option for investing your money because JD have been long time and they are also one of trusted gambling site since 2013), too bad you already divested your investment.

My Clams are still there sleeping for years and the last time I checked my account there was 4 months ago I guessed. I wonder if it's increase much. Because I saw a slow profit I decided not to pull it out and just let my clams there sleep and just considered my investment as a loss. For the record, I purchase those clams at 200k satoshis so really not a good output in terms of clams price today.

Im planning now to test the investment here in my signature and see how it goes.
I see,so you're going to invest just only 9 days in Betking.io?
Hi

From the 1st of December BetKing will no longer be crowdfunded.

On the 1st all current investors will be divested and the BetKing bankroll will be funded by me.

The max bet will drop but will remain competitive at 30 Bitcoin.

Oh I missed this. Thanks for the info.
