10441  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: September 01, 2016, 02:20:51 PM
In my country most people have never heard of bitcoin. Most of the markets and stores here do not accept it or never heard of it. Hence I cannot spend it in local markets but can do so in other e-commerce websites which accept bitcoin. Currently I am collecting bitcoin with an aim to trade on them when the price rises. Hence I am not actively spending bitcoin but simply collecting it all.

10443  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: September 01, 2016, 10:46:47 AM
Bitcoin has its own advantages and disadvantages. I would not suggest converting all your assets to bitcoin. It has been proved that the bitcoin network is impossible to be hacked by any ordinary rig. However there has been instances where exchanges and such turn scam and steal everything or they get hacked by hackers and all the funds are stolen.
10444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: September 01, 2016, 10:37:15 AM
Quitting job and going full time would be the last thing to do me. My country does not have bitcoin accepting merchants and hence fiat is all that I can use. Even if I earn bitcoin and try to exchange it for fiat, it is taxable and hence I will lose a lot during the conversion process. Also the price of bitcoin is very much fluctuating. Hence you cannot stabilize your income in any manner and keep track of inflow and outflow during your daily transactions.
10445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: September 01, 2016, 07:34:31 AM
If the internet goes down then its the end of bitcoin. Period

The entire bitcoin network is based on the internet. The internet is where bitcoin is transacted through - consider it as the pathway the money needs to follow in order to get transferred.

But the internet going down is very less likely. So enjoy it while it lasts Grin
10446  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: September 01, 2016, 07:29:39 AM
If a country government bans bitcoin, I believe their people should also stop using it. Most governments are just trying to find loopholes and trying to trap people in paying fines if the rules are broken. If your country is such then you should stop using bitcoin immediately. The government will keep a tap on these people not following their orders and then nab them when the accumulated sum becomes large and ask for a huge fine.
10447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 01, 2016, 07:19:19 AM
Bitcoin cannot help a poor country. I have the following reasons which I would like to site:

Low Internet access - If people cant access internet how will they even know about bitcoin let alone do transactions through it.
Low Security measures - totally insecure to them since they have very low knowledge
Low Fees for miners - This will hurt miners
Low usage - People in poor countries are "Poor" - they need more time to work hard and earn Fiat, since they are poor they would never accept bitcoin as primary source of money and would never believe that it is secure as well.
10448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ Bonus Ends In 2h ❘|❘ 4k+ BTC Raised on: September 01, 2016, 06:59:41 AM
The Iconomi project is going really really well. They are a new opportunity for investors who want high profits but less risk involved. They have the state-of-the-art financial instruments and a professional team working behind them. They are bound to become successful in this field and gather a large chunk of the potential customers out there. By this both the company and the investors will be paid well and become successful investors.

People should keep faith in them and invest their money here. It is going to be one of the most successful projects in the entire bitcoin ecosystem.
10449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If gambling is illegal in your country, would you still gamble? on: September 01, 2016, 06:48:16 AM
Gambling, and several other High Risk Investments are not legal in many countries. For some countries it is a shady area too. Such countries consider it as a game of chance/ at your own risk.

I myself live in a country where gambling is legal. However that does not mean I will gamble. The decision to gamble is on the player itself. If they wish to gamble then they would do it even if it was illegal in their country because it has become an addiction for them.

Everyone knows that the casinos are there for the profits of the owners and not the people. Hence they should gamble at their own risk and not risk their lives in it by doing illegal stuff.

10451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is big problem in using of bitcoin on: August 31, 2016, 08:32:10 PM
Big problem with BTC is fluctuation in price with respect to fiat currency. Also the irreversibility of transactions - people tend to make mistakes and even if they double check everything before sending a big sum of money still mistakes can crop up and this I think needs to be improved.
10452  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long you in bitcoin world? on: August 31, 2016, 08:29:59 PM
I learnt about it from torrent sites where uploaders used to ask for bitcoin donations. Around 2010 I think as much as I remember. Did not care much about it since we all are beggars at heart Grin

However I found out later that collecting btc can be a good source of passive parttime income other than my college studies, so decided to join the gang Wink
10453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win gambling with no lose? on: August 31, 2016, 08:15:13 PM
The title did make me laugh. Losing is a big part of gambling and that's why it is considered to be of high risk. Other than that the owners are the real profit makers here and thus you can never win every time loads of money from casinos. Keep dreaming OP, you are in a Fool's Paradise.
10454  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 10:59:45 AM
I don't think how bitcoin and PayPal cant go hand in hand, I have been using Paypal since long time and Bitcoin only recently. However it depends on your local currency. If the local markets allow bitcoin then Paypal can be less useful but its opposite in my country. However even if Bitcoin is accepted by everyone I will keep using Paypal if it is required.
10455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Return of Satoshi on: August 31, 2016, 09:20:07 AM
I don't think it matters even if Satoshi returns to the forum or not. What is done is done. His identity is lost and no one actually knows who he/she is in real life. I guess it was just a part of the anonymity that bitcoin provides its users with. I believe the bitcoin environment can develop even without the founder's help and it should not be very difficult for others to follow.
10456  Other / Off-topic / Re: how bitcoin is popular in your country ? on: August 31, 2016, 09:15:38 AM
In India most of the people are below poverty line and they dont have money to buy food properly. How do you expect them to learn about bitcoin and let alone use it when they have to earn fiat with so much hard work? Still only a small percentage of the people here use it which maybe one in a thousand people. I dont think it will improve in near future but this is chance of improvement in India.
10457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do the peoples use the Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 09:13:09 AM
People use bitcoin because it is anonymous, easy to send, not taxable and less fuss than a Bank account. However the price is volatile and it is still considered to be in Beta stage. Hence should be used with extreme caution. Still people use it just like fiat money.
10458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: August 31, 2016, 05:59:31 AM
People give up only when they have lost a huge amount and cant pay a single penny. The whole vicious cycle of getting into gambling and getting out kills people and family relationships. People work hard to earn money and they keep coming back to recover their losses. They never understand that chasing losses will make them lose even more. But they come back to chase losses again and again.
10459  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where to sell your faucet on: August 31, 2016, 05:52:27 AM
Yes I think if you contact mexicantarget, he might be able to give you a god deal. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=389345

Sorry to see someone sell away their faucet. I can understand it is tough for people to maintain everything, all ads, banning bots keeping logs and balances.

Good luck on your other projects.
10460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: August 31, 2016, 05:47:40 AM
You can try betting on sports where knowledge and research is important unlike casino sites where luck is the main factor. Also you can try becoming a casino affiliate and maybe build you own casino. All these are profitable methods to earn.
