10501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: November 12, 2017, 07:48:50 PM
can they hack into our wallet. There are many professional hackers out there. What are the chances? Also what is the safest way to safeguard ourself?
Technically yes but its not as easy as it sounds but from what other cryptocurrency users have posted about their experience on different forums its seems most compromised wallets are usually as a result of phishing, keyloggers or malicious software and if we restrict our selves by using a pc dedicated for our wallet and other important stuff the chances are slim to get hacked.
10502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: November 12, 2017, 05:24:32 AM
Anyone who has ever been or are in a committed relationship or marriage where both people gamble?
This wouldn't be the perfect match for people to be married because this I would consider as a high risk marriage but what can i say love conquers all.

Quote
Or in a relationship with a gambler with a friend, best friend, family related etc...  Knowing you are in it together is weird comforting and gives me some sort of undefined explanation.

If gambling is what brings people together it will be weird to even tell people how you got to know each other
What does that look like for you? Your experience needs to be heard.
I have only made friends from gambling, nothing more!
10503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: November 08, 2017, 05:48:49 AM
I believe some people consider gambling as a way of investing except its high risk and we all know that the house always wins which puts us at a disadvantage, unlike actual investing which is low risk and profits grow slowly...its the safest and better option.
I could yelling at your face if you're saying gambling is better than investing. Gambling is too easy to falling down, trust me. I saw a guy won a fucking huge bet today and in the next day, he lost everything.
From the name alone, we already know that investment will be better than gambling. And unlike investment, gambling should not be classified as a way to get profit. Gambling is just a way to get fun.
The earlier we understand that gambling is fun based it will save us from making any regrets and losing huge sums of money
10504  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10.000 = 1BTC on New Year? on: November 05, 2017, 07:58:13 PM
There is an intresting article on cointelegraph( https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-will-have-no-difficulty-hitting-10k-with-30000-new-wallets-a-day-max-keiser) which says on average there is more than 30,000 wallets being opened so if one eigth of them can buy a whole bitcoin am certain prices will surge to this much before new year and people are now hyped to get their hands on some bitcoins.
10505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I HATE 90% of Bitcoin investors on: November 03, 2017, 02:26:50 PM
I hate to break this to you but its not only investors that haven't read the bitcoin white paper, the average joe is on the same boat too and nothing can be done to make them read it. And I believe people have been introduced to bitcoin as a way to make a quick profit when in the actual sense it was suppose to be an alternative payment method that gives us the financial freedom and privacy.
10506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin CASH vs Ethereum on: November 01, 2017, 10:42:32 PM
So, What we have today?

Ethereum           $30,994,496,838   $328.00
Bitcoin Cash   $11,207,211,371   $676.48

And after ~2 months the difference in terms of market cap almost looks the same

Ethereum           $28,312,698,418   $296.58   $513,678,000   95,464,272 ETH

Bitcoin Cash   $8,687,840,527           $518.60   $997,790,000   16,752,650 BCH

I think that bitcoin CASH has chance go to #2 in market soon.

Agree with me?
Bitcoin Cash is pumping hard once more but I do not think it will catch up with Eth which has not made any positive changes other than a decrease in market cap
10507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Market Dominance going back up to 80%? Alts current Status? on: November 01, 2017, 09:22:02 PM
If btc market dominance goes up then automatically alts dominance go down correct?
Its not a directly proportional market when it comes to bitcoin and altcoins because some altcoins tend to ride the bitcoin wave but there is a 70% chance that alts kind of go down.
Will we ever see another bullish run for the Alts like we already did in Spring/Early Summer and early september where alts reached all time highs?
The crypto economy is full of surprises, we just have to wait for it to happen but am certain that was not the first and last time it will be happening.
Quote
The 2 previous all time high dates for Alts are:

20th June 17
2nd Sep 17

The above dates, what can we learn from them and how do we apply this to the bitcoin gold and segwit2x forks?

Finally when do you guys think Alts will pass the $100billion market cap and claim some dominance from bitcoin or will alts crash or become lifeless dead?
To be honest, such dates have no influence on the crypto market but anything can happen on any given day and Alts breaching the $100billion market cap is a long way from home maybe a couple of years from now is possible and this won't write out bitcoin either.

10508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is novaexchange closing? on: November 01, 2017, 07:46:20 PM
Hello Guys,

I have received a email one day ago with the instructions that i need to remove my coins from nova exchange.
Is novaexchange closing now? Did anyone of you receive an email like that?

I have received about two-three emails about novaexchange closing which I believe is all in a bid to pave way for new management/owners...this is all from their news section>>> https://novaexchange.com/news/ it states the exchange will be changing hands and should have new owners by April 2018, I guess its a temporary closure.
10509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 01, 2017, 07:13:26 PM
That Roma - Chelsea match really surprised me. El Sharaawy was the hero for that match for Roma. That 1st minute goal was amazing but the Chelsea defence was terrible.
This match did not surprise me, roma able to play well in stamford bridge last week full time resul 3-3 and roma win ball posestion 60%. I am very sure roma can beat Chelsea when playing in olympico . yeah full time result Roma 3 - 0 Chelsea . just needed 1 point for roma  to qualify next round .
I was equally surprised with the result and shockingly enough Roma was put as favorites by the bookies at a price of  2.40 odds and with that performance the displayed last night the should be fighting for top spot in the league.

Tonight I will be looking forward to two particular games i.e Napoli vs Manchester City and Tottenham vs Real Madrid.
Napoli vs Manchester City- two teams sitting on the top in the respective leagues clash tonight, with Napoli falling back in 3rd position they will take nothing less than a win playing with some home advantage, should be the match of the evening.

Tottenham vs Real Madrid- Spurs have nothing to lose other than putting up a good fight and with Kane back to his duties, this could be a win for them or another draw should be on the cards!
10510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep your BTC on exchange during the upcoming forks? on: November 01, 2017, 02:57:07 PM
If we do not want to risk losing our air dropped coins it's as easy as keeping our coins away from an exchange because these guys hardly dish out the split coins probably the reason some exchanges give out a notice before any fork happens and by now we should know that the safest wallets are those you have control of your private keys, so that you dont miss out on such.
10511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me the best ICO to invest. on: November 01, 2017, 10:03:42 AM
I wouldn't want to act bias trying to pick the best ICO because we have lots of great products but you can give Sisa fund a shot as the idea behind the project is genuine that can benefit the investor in the long run.

Just when I thought Chelsea were getting in over drive they decide to fail to score a single goal against the Italians...I guess these guys still have the defended formula in them after all am sure many punters lost a lot of money on this game! Just happy to see Manchester United continue their winning run dispite getting goals from an own goal and a penalty ,hope Spurs does the dirty job tomorrow.
10513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi see the coming of Altcoin? on: October 31, 2017, 10:59:44 PM
Am pretty sure he know that altcoins will follow through the moment he put the bitcoin code out there in the public for us to learn from ,and for a cryptocurrency like bitcoin to show strength we really need these alts as a supporting becons as its a feature of decentralization.
10514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: October 31, 2017, 06:04:16 PM
Nothing will replace gold but i think bitcoin will be able to get a higher value than gold because more people are investing in bitcoin and you can't really buy things with gold but with bitcoin you can buy anything you want.
I agree with you, in terms of value bitcoin will come out the winner because it has a fast growing user base and is easily accessable but I believe bitcoin was not made to disrupt the existence of gold which is a natural resource that is usually used as a sysmbol of wealth unlike bitcoin which had several uses such as a store of value or can be used as an alterrnative to fiat for everyday transactions.
10515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 31, 2017, 02:02:51 PM
Checking the market price of bitcoin has become a hobby for me because we need to know what's going on around the world of crypto which could also influence us on how we buy or sell our crypto coins.

Its not a big deal checking you price daily, but most time its due to one's enthusiasm . if you can't cope without checking it doesn't make you anything less, it may be needed to be updated.
Its a big deal if you are an investor or maybe you want to buy cheap coins or trying  to sale at a high market price.
10516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Bitcoin work for online shopping? on: October 30, 2017, 10:01:49 PM
When you buy something on eBay or Amazon, you pay the seller, he ships the product and upload a tracking number.
If you haven't received the item, you can call eBay or Amazon and, basically, what happens is that if they have a tracking number that shows that the item has been delivered, then it is ok, otherwise eBay or Amazon reverses the transaction and you get your money back.
Is that possible with bitcoin? What if I buy a boat online for 2 bitcoins and I never receive it? Is bitcoin able to solve this problem?

Thanks
In regard with using ebay or Amazon to buy stuff the buyer is protected with ebays buyer protection and in some cases extends to the seller but this kind of system cant work with bitcoin because transactions once made are final unless the recipient chooses to send back the funds which would be inefficient to make this work...the closest system. We have is the use of escrow.
10517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: October 30, 2017, 04:31:11 PM
This season doesn't look good for Real Madrid... They are trailling for Barcelona for 8 points. They need to start wining if they want to defend the title.
Its really sad to see title contenders failing to win games against teams that just got promoted into the big boys league, other fans are crying out for the replacement of Benzema who they feel is under performing, not sure if its justifiable but 8 points might not seem much but if the gap widens further team morale will drop and cost them the La Liga title.
10518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are more gold than Bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 12:34:51 PM
One scientists suggests the event 'will be remembered as one of the most studied astrophysical events in history.'
One thing is for sure, this is still under study...I guess its nothing more than a speculation Roll Eyes
21,000,000 Vs infinite amount of gold. find more than 21M Bitcoins.
I copied this from dailymail Uk. Bitcoin @$10,000 first month of 2018.
Well am not a scientist but I know gold is a natural resource that could deplete any time as mining continues around the world and if we compare it to bitcoin the digital gold...bitcoins value will continue to grow because its limited in supply and demand keeps growing everyday.

There are more gold than Bitcoin
maybe the comparison isnt right for these two great assets to get facts.
10519  Economy / Speculation / Re: political events ( VS ) bitcoin price on: October 30, 2017, 09:56:00 AM
the only political events that would affect bitcoin in a positive way is if there is financial instability in a country, and people would want to protect their hard earned money by investing it in something more stable such as bitcoin. And if the political environment remains calm and conducive bitcoin will depend on supply and demand.
10520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that will survive in 2018? on: October 30, 2017, 07:46:22 AM
What are the top 10 altcoins that can survive and keep growing in developers, community, price and usability?
Wouldn't have 10 altcoins on my list right now but am certain Ethereum, waves and NEM will survive because they allow Smart contracts to house other projects, and joining this list are altcoins such as tenx, monaco which give us easy access to our funds through debit cards and not forgetting the most valuable coin BITCOIN.
