1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 10, 2023, 03:01:28 PM
Here from the picture shared by your friend on whatsapp status we clearly understand that your friend may have taken high risk here and because of taking high risk he has achieved this. At such high risk usually a gambler fails most of the time but your friend is lucky enough because he got a big profit despite taking such high risk. I think your friend can tell you about this matter better than us so you can ask your friend about it. If he has shared any other picture in his whatsapp status then that is different matter but if he is really doing this then you must try to know how he did it.
Sometimes to take risk in a gambling matters and it do cause more profit, we all know that playing a gambling is also a risk and greediness because what prompted us to gamble is because of multiplying of our funds and sometimes it can be called greediness, so gambling is something you have to know your target in profit so that you will not lose because of a process of accumulating your funds, so greediness is a part of risk in gambling but people do not see it like, so what they are after is to criticise greediness why greedy is a risk we take both trading and gambling
It is my belief that sometimes excessive greed helps a gambler earn more money but in most cases excessive greed never results in good results. I know a gambler who started gambling with a small amount of money and won $500. At the beginning of gambling, he never expected to earn $500, but when he earned $500, his greed increased. Due to his excessive greed he did not withdraw the money he was earning but with that money he tried to gamble more and in the second phase when he started gambling it was a period of downfall in his gambling career. In the second step he gambled and lost his $500 and he again borrowed money and gambled to earn $500 and lost it and now he is much more in debt.

In the first phase, when he was earning $500, he would not have been in so much debt if he had not been overly greedy. However I think that one should always limit one's greed and never take one's greed to extremes.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: November 10, 2023, 12:29:22 PM
We are at the end of 2023, a few months later we will be at 2024 and you will bet 50 thousand dollars by 2024 if you take the target. This target seems huge to me but since you are confident in yourself I have nothing else to say except to wish you the best of luck. If you want to earn $50,000 in a year by betting, you have to bet very wisely and win most of your bets because the money you make by winning three matches will be gone if you lose one match. You've set your sights high. Hope 2024 holds good for you. You can achieve good things in 2024 if you bet according to plan.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: November 10, 2023, 09:48:04 AM
Before gambling or placing a bet we need to make sure that we are on the right site that is conducting our bets and gambling. If we gamble or bet on the wrong site, even if we make money, that profit will not be of any use to us. I know of several popular gaming or gambling sites but this is the first time I have heard of the gaming or gambling sites you mentioned. I would never take a risk like gambling without a known site. I will gamble on the site that I feel is the safest. A gambler needs to select a good site before he can make a profit by gambling. If we can select a good site for gambling or betting then we can safely conduct our activities on that site.
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: November 10, 2023, 09:14:36 AM
It is not right to be addicted to anything, just as it is not right to be addicted to playing extra games, it is not right to be addicted to anything, say drugs or gambling. We mean something bad by being addicted. If people who are addicted to drugs do not get drugged in time but their brain system gets messed up and then they don't think twice to commit any kind of crime to get drugged. Just as drug addiction is very harmful for a person, gambling addiction is also very harmful for a person. When a person becomes addicted to gambling and there is a time when he does not have money to gamble, he will do any kind of crime to manage the gambling money.

Kidnapping is not a very difficult task for a gambling addict and a drug addict. So those of us who are not addicted to drugs are much better off firstly and secondly not to become addicted to gambling. We will gamble but in moderation and only if we have control over gambling, we will not become addicted to gambling.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 10, 2023, 08:37:46 AM
Avoid being emotional. I guess that's the number one thing. If you are emotional, you will be carried away by joy, greed, despair, etc. If you are winning and you're very emotional, you could end up losing everything. You think you're lucky and would continue to play even after winning big already. Or if you lost, you could be angry and you would chase your loss and try to recover it. This emotion is equally damaging. You would go home with a bigger loss.
One can never be too emotional when it comes to gambling. Always consider the facts and then a gambler has to make a decision. Just as excessive greed is not good, it is never good to be overly emotional. Losing a bet will make you sad but winning a bet will give you immense joy and because of that extreme joy you will be overly greedy and emotional if you bet your money in the wrong place again you can lose all the money. No matter how much money you make in betting, before placing your next bet you need to think whether you are betting in the right place or in the wrong place. Never take a bet thinking that whatever is in luck, you should be confident enough in yourself and then decide to bet. Over-emotional decision-making means losing your money.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 10, 2023, 08:01:05 AM
Nothing. Bitcoin's price doesn't have any impact on my gambling habit. What has an impact on my gambling habit is the Bitcoin transaction fee. At the moment we are experiencing high bitcoin transaction fees which is causing me trouble. The impact this has on me right now is that I no longer do deposits with Bitcoin into my casino account, what I do instead is use the usdt for funding my wallet and gambling with it.
I do the same, now I don't use bitcoins for gambling but now I use virtual dollars or USDT for gambling. Now doing anything with Bitcoin means giving a loss because the way Bitcoin is increasing in value we are paying others more for our transactions. Since there are several mediums for gambling, I like to gamble using them. Currently we are experiencing high transaction fees in Bitcoin, we have seen issues like this in the past where we had to pay $8 to $15 per transaction to trade Bitcoin. Bitcoin transaction fees are high now so I don't want to trade bitcoin now. Since I don't need to trade bitcoins much now I will trade bitcoins when bitcoin transaction fees are back to normal.

1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 10, 2023, 04:57:17 AM
It is natural that not all investors will hold their investments up front but it is also true that not all investors will sell their investments up front. The market is in a good condition now and in such a condition some investors will sell their investments because they have noticed bad market conditions in the past and they may not be brave enough to hold on to their investments. You can be sure that those who are not brave enough to hold on to their investments now and those who sell their investments now will regret selling their investments at some point. I have a lot of faith in the Bitcoin market and that faith gives me so much courage.

To be honest, if the Bitcoin market goes down a lot now, I won't think for a second why I didn't sell my investment because I'm used to it. Since I have developed a confidence in holding my investment deeply and since I am not very excited about market changes, I am sure and confident in myself that I can hold 100% of the investment even in the current market conditions.

The Bitcoin market moved around $38K today but from there the market has rebounded to around $36.5K. The market has changed so much in such a short period of time that many may have started thinking that they should have sold their investments at that time. People with such ideas will be more worry free when selling their investments. I think people who overthink their investments should sell their investments because overthinking is harmful to one's health. I will sell my investments at market highs and wait as long as I have to.
I think you are comparing two performances carried out by investors where they exercise options for the short term and for the long term and make repurchases when they make the decision to sell some of their holdings. This is of course a part of investment that may be implemented by large investors where they play scenarios at two levels for the short term and the long term. But for beginners like us, of course, with relatively small capital, it is better for us to choose the long-term option and accumulate Bitcoin gradually.

I think we need to maintain a balance in our investments, I mean if we have the intention to buy regularly then make a special note for each purchasing period so that we don't miss it. Because balance in making purchases will make the planning we do run successfully until the target we want is achieved.
I don't believe that you need to have a lot of money to keep your investment for a long time. I believe that financial support is not a big thing, but the big thing is the mentality of keeping your investment for a long time. If there was a certain amount of money mentioned in terms of making your own investment and keeping that investment for a long time, then I would have given importance to having more financial support, but since there is no fixed level in the case of investment, any investor can keep his investment for a long time.

You have made a right point here that an easy thing for investors like us is to gradually increase the investment amount as per our financial condition after starting investment, I think it is a very good idea. If we can increase our investment amount every week or every month and continue this growth trend then in the long run our investment amount will be seen much higher.

I see two positive aspects in holding investments in long-term plans every week or every month, one is that an investor continues his investment trend and also an investor can control spending his extra money every week or every month.

I think from my side I can say if man has intention he can definitely invest and he can definitely keep his investment for long time. Deeply holding your investments requires only a mindset of holding. One who has the mindset to hold his investment for a long time will surely hold his investment deeply.

1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: November 09, 2023, 05:47:07 PM
No matter how advanced technology Chat GPT is, I don't think this advanced technology can destroy online gambling sites. Gambling site will never stop it will continue for ages. As long as there are different sports and different casinos in the world, these gambling sites will never stop. When various tasks were being completed with the help of AI technology in a very short time, many people feared that this AI technology may take away the human workplace, but some of us were wrong. AI technology may be able to do more tasks faster but not all tasks can be handled with AI technology. Manually a task can be finished as well as possible using this technology but that task cannot be finished as well so no matter what anyone says I think online gambling will never end.
1071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 09, 2023, 05:02:58 PM
I think that it is difficult to proclaim what people should do merely based on expectations of BTC price performance, especially if they had been in bitcoin for a longer period of time, then they may well have already set up some practices and/or parameters for selling their BTC, so largely both of us are attempting to respond to a longer-term scenario where kingvirtus09 had presented a somewhat vague scenario in which s/he seemed to be suggesting that a longer term BTC holder might have had sold many or most of his/her BTC during various past BTC price upswings, and I was merely off-setting such proclamation in a way to suggest that there could be scenarios that a longer term BTC holder might just be selling BTC at any price and at various points of BTC price appreciation with ONLY small attention to the extent to whether we might be in a bull market or a bear market, but at the same time, personally, I am with the idea of selling on the way up rather than either selling on the way down or even overly selling BTC with expectations of abilities to be able to buy back.
It is natural that not all investors will hold their investments up front but it is also true that not all investors will sell their investments up front. The market is in a good condition now and in such a condition some investors will sell their investments because they have noticed bad market conditions in the past and they may not be brave enough to hold on to their investments. 1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 09, 2023, 04:12:19 PM
For every new gambler there comes a time when he becomes addicted to gambling. I was first introduced to online gambling when I was in college and since then I gambled little by little to save semester money or pocket money. At one point I felt like I was addicted to gambling because at that time I felt I should be gambling. When I didn't have any money, I used to borrow money from my mother for gambling and so on, but later when I finished college I realized that maybe I was going in the wrong direction, maybe I shouldn't be so addicted to gambling. Since then I tried to recover myself although it took me a long time to recover myself from that place but still I managed to recover myself. Now I gamble but not addicted to the tide but on my own accord. When I want to gamble I gamble, when I don't I don't gamble.

Can you finance your studies with gambling money? sounds good guys. I lost more than I won, that's what made it worse. If I get a lot of wins in gambling it might have a good impact and there is no need to stop gambling. May I know what game you play?

Yes, the most important thing in gambling is self-control. If we can do this then we will not get the negative impact of gambling
To be honest I have been most successful gambling on cricket and football. I am very fond of sports since childhood and I have watched cricket and club level football matches since childhood due to which I have a good understanding of sports. I bet with a rough idea of which team will play well against which team and which team is stronger at home, which is why I tend to win more on these bets. Gambling I have to play never works like that in my mind when I want to and I bet when I think that I will win if I bet on this match. In football and cricket matches, which opponent is stronger than which opponent and which opponent has the potential to do well in which match, these are some of the things that can be assumed in advance, I bet from that idea.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 09, 2023, 03:34:21 PM
With the way the Bitcoin market is growing right now, it is better not to take any risk with Bitcoin. Right now if we lose some amount of BTC from our total BTC or we spend it then it is bad for us because currently Bitcoin shows a lot of hope that Bitcoin will go to a much better level in the future. I will only bet with BTC on matches that I will win and on matches that I have a low chance of winning I won't bet with BTC at all because I don't want to lose BTC at the moment. I have some virtual dollars in stock I am confused whether I should gamble with those virtual dollars or invest those virtual dollars in bitcoins. If I stop betting with Bitcoin then those virtual dollars will be useful for my betting.
1074  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: November 09, 2023, 10:36:07 AM
It's hard for me to say how much money I make trading every day because I never calculate how much I made trading today or how much money I lost trading yesterday. On the day when I can make some money by trading, the account is correct but on the day when the trading is not correct and the money is losing, then I just wait for my loss to be recovered. There are both profit and loss in trading, so it is difficult to remember only profit calculation. Not only me but every trader may say this and they may not be able to say how much money they earn each day.
It is difficult for a trader to say exactly how much his daily income is. Most of the traders may not calculate how much their daily income is, but if a certain trader is asked, then if that trader tries to calculate his daily income, it may still be wrong. Because every day is not the same income, every day will not only profit but will lose money by trading. Instead of focusing on how much money we made trading each day, we should focus on how much we can earn each day. We have to think about trading in such a way that losses can be avoided while trading. One day loss and one day profit if we trade like this but we will never understand the profit of trading. Even if the income is relatively low, the amount of income must be continued only then we can reach an accurate figure at the end of the month.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: November 09, 2023, 08:38:18 AM
We pay extra tax on everything we use but paying tax on gambling seems a little surprising to me. I'm already tired of paying extra tax on everything and then again if we have to pay tax on such a risky site like gambling it will be a very bad thing for us. Gambling is already very risky, money can be lost when gambling. Paying taxes from a platform where there is no guarantee of money is really ridiculous. Even if I pay taxes for everything else, at least I'll never pay for gambling. I will turn off gambling if necessary but I am not willing to pay taxes for gambling. Every gambler, not just me, will say that and they certainly don't pay the government taxes for their gambling.

1077  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 09, 2023, 06:58:36 AM
doubt it is a great idea to fantasize cashing out of all of your BTC, because even if someone were to have had accumulated thousands of BTC in earlier days (let's say 2011 or 2012) for relatively low prices, s/he could still cash out fractions of his/her holdings at various UPpity price points, and still feel quite well and in a good financial and/or psychological place and still perhaps have a lot of his/her BTC stash.. maybe even have 60% or more of the original amounts.. so there really should not be any needs to cash out high portions of a person's BTC stash, especially if s/he had either bought a lot of BTC in earlier days or just had been building up a lot of BTC over time.
If we can hold on to Bitcoin during the bad times of Bitcoin, then why should we be in a rush to sell our Bitcoins now?  Now there is no question of selling bitcoins. I think now is the best time to hold bitcoins instead of selling them. For those who think they should sell half a percent or one-third of their total investment, I would say since you have been patient for so long, you should be patient some more because holding this will do an investor a lot of good in the future.

I hold bitcoin so deeply I could have sold my investment when bitcoin went to $65k if I wanted to but I'm waiting for better times. I may have felt a little bad when the market fell from $65k to $17k, but my bad feeling didn't work when I comforted myself with the hope of better things to come.  I deeply hold my investment and will continue to do so surely this investment will never let me down.

All of a sudden the Bitcoin market is from $25000 to $36000 so at this time many people are confused to invest again but at this time I am investing again. Whenever I have money I invest it in Bitcoin instead of spending it on other things and increasing my investment. The market movement seems positive to me although it is uncertain which direction the market will go but I am waiting for a positive change in the market.
I will definitely hold my investment deep till the time I plan to hold it deep. No matter how much the price of Bitcoin goes down or up during this period but I will not sell my investment, I will sell my investment at the end of the specified period.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Believe That Reading People's Bad Experience Will Help You on: November 09, 2023, 06:35:09 AM
There's always a says that said "do not wait for what happened to others to happen to you before you start leaning". Meaning you have to learn from what happened to others in order for you not to fall prey any time when such is approaching to you, hence with the experience of other people you can control your habits from what has happened to other people. Any responsible and learned gambler doesn't always want to gamble to get addicted for people around to start noticing they are addictive gamblers.
A professional gambler thinks everything through and then decides to gamble. Gambling is not just about betting on one match to win and betting on losing money. Gambling is all about minimizing mistakes. If there is a mistake in gambling, then the entire money will be lost, so a gambler needs to be very focused on where he needs to gain sufficient knowledge before gambling or where he needs to improve his gambling skills. As you said a gambler should learn from where others have succeeded or failed. If we do not learn from the failures and successes of others, we are less likely to make mistakes in gambling.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 09, 2023, 05:26:39 AM
Gambling is never approved by my family so no one in my family knows that I gamble. I am not addicted to gambling so there is no question of me quitting gambling. If I ever had to quit gambling, I might have to quit gambling because of other commitments, but I don't think I would have to quit gambling because of financial problems or anything else. As people in my family do not like gambling, if anyone in the family comes to know that I gamble, there may be pressure from the family not to gamble, but I will continue my gambling without informing my family as much as possible. Another thing is that gambling has never had a bad effect on my life so far, so the day I feel that gambling is having a bad effect on my life, I will quit gambling.
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 04:53:08 AM
Aside from the things listed by OP, I just want to add that we should avoid gambling while under the influence of alcohol because many tend to do action even if its not on their plan or strategy and many tend to spend more simply because they can’t control their emotion while under the influence of alcohol. Make sure when you gamble you are in right state of mind and you know what you are doing to avoid any big losses.
Alcohol consumption is a sure cause of death in humans. Alcohol consumption not only kills people but also destroys a family. If the sole earner of the family consumes alcohol and if he suffers from any major disease due to alcohol consumption, it will affect the entire family. If there is one addicted person in a family, the entire family is ruined for that person. If gambling is done properly by a person and if he is not addicted to gambling then gambling will not bring any harm to him and his family but if a person consumes small amount or excessive amount of alcohol but he will get out of that place. Very hard to come by. If someone forgets alcohol by gambling then I would say gambling is good for him. If we want to enjoy a healthy life then we must stay away from alcohol.
