I think the reason it went down is because it simply ran out of room to go up. In order to continue going up exponentially it would be worth trillions of dollars and have to start competing with first world national currencies and realize it's dream of taking over fiat money but the adoption isn't anywhere near that level yet. This was all a fantasy. Sometimes you have to take a step back from the craze of what is going on with the short term markets and look at these macro fundamentals.

It did not go to $470 in November 2015 because of retail investors. That was a whale deciding the bear market was over.

You just exactly described my relatives who signed up on coinbase during the peak in a panic and asking me for advice. "What is litecoin? Should I buy this? Will it keep going up so I can double my money? What is bitcoin cash? Should I buy? Werent you in that before? What is Ethereum? Should I buy? Woah wtf is happening to btc? Im down. Ok I just bought ripple. Can you explain ripple to me now? This isnt working. I need you to trade for me."

It is funny to see every time there is a dip, the trolls be like: I put buy offers at 8000 and 1000. Wow, some noob with 0.01 BTC may fall for that and sell  Grin The enemies of BTC failed miserably in their attempt to sabotage BTC hodlers. Even at 14K the gain is 1400% for a year!!!
In 2014 there were flash liquidation events on both btce and finex and thousands of coins were sold at $100 before rapidly bouncing back to $650

Someone warned me about Dogecoin that it wasn't a good idea because the underlying meme was not popular anymore... but it didn't matter - all the altcoins were getting pumped and the coin still had an active community.

I pumped Dogecoin, and it followed a historical TA pattern

What will happen is once it reaches 8000 or 5500, suddenly everyone in the forum will be calling $1K and the death of bitcoin, but I will be there saying.. "no idiots were about have a bounce to $13K", and viola, suddenly I'm a bull.  Though as usual I'll be the person on the forum receiving the most flak.
1070  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 28, 2017, 08:20:43 AM
If I was a real bear, I wouldn't have those buy orders and I'd just leave for a different market. The faith that btc will inevitably bounce after hitting those lows and the fact that I will hodl half of those coins indefinitely makes me part bull - Just not an irrationally exuberant one. You guys need me when the shit hits the fan.

Did you really just say that the $200bn market is moving because of my posts?

Is anyone going to give me credit for calling the 16000 top 3 days in advance?
1072  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 28, 2017, 07:36:11 AM

1000 wall flashed on finex for 5 seconds and hid.

Its gonna be bitcoin futures. Trillions of dollars invested in playing bitcoin futures (long or short) on bitcoins priced at $6000
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD FUD and more FUD on: December 28, 2017, 05:40:49 AM
When you invite the mass of idiots to invest it is a double edged sword. They are only following the hype and they dont really even know what bitcoin is or how it works. For this same reason they will just as easily invest in whatever else is trending like Ripple and there is no way you will be able to convince them otherwise and you just end up sounding like a pretentious hipster asshole. The future is the government trying to kill crypto by having the media make everyone think something else is bitcoin - something owned by Bank of America that transacts instantly - while quietly passing regulations that make the real Bitcoin harder and harder to use.

Some stocks did well in 2015 and 2016. Nintendo had some good runs. Not 10x unless you used leverage.

I remember being a Pokemon Go early adopter and seeing how big and magical it was and knowing that I should buy Nintendo shares right then. But all my money was in fucking hodl. After that Nintendo went up 100-150% in days.
