1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 03, 2018, 04:33:31 PM

It is even better to buy now that the bullish has not started. The jump witnessed lately is a sign that this 2018 would be a tremendous increase for bitcoin because many investors are adopting it.

Why would they be doing that given the fees or have you not been keeping an eye on the other alt-coins as BTC
losses ground to them because of the extortion transactions fees and slow speeds.

A guy was saying here the last time BTC was at $19,000 that now is a good time to buy because nothing can
stop it now but high fees did

1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 03, 2018, 04:28:16 PM
Give over or are we going to get these pump posts every day

25% up or down is just a normal day for BTC or should I post each time it drops 10% ?

Stop being premature
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Lightning Network Guaranteed to be released this year? on: January 03, 2018, 04:01:02 PM
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2680315.new#new

I am having a long debate with another developer like myself and it's well complicated to
understand whats going on with LN and how it works and what it really is but so far
its looking like a network of hubs who charge fees and interconnect to create channels

So far too me it's looking like a carrot being sold as prime beef and it will taste shit
when you get to taste it.

One line of code is needed just now
public static money MaxFee =1.50 // 20,000 is 19,000 miners too many to share the tx-fees

We could make it deal with spam transactions too with a little bit of code but the developers won't want to
hear it because they are getting too much money from rip-off fees

if (MemPool>10000 && Amount <=0.001btc)
Return Error.Trade_Too_Small // Might allow later if we get spare capacity

1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network won't save me no money I don't think on: January 03, 2018, 03:47:51 PM
There are many Bitcoin holders and enthusiasts who are banking on the full development and full implementation of the Lightning Network which ......................

Sorry but you did not seem to grasp what i was saying

Costs money to use hubs and as soon as you close a channel then you get hit with full transactions fees so they
just made the game of roulette harder to understand so they can cream even more off from the top using Lightning.

I would be happy to agree with your comments because what we have just now is a pile of shit but i cannot
agree so they are making out that new lightning orange carrot is going to taste nice, it's not

1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: January 03, 2018, 03:33:33 PM
Is bitcoin going to get fixed and make itself an easy and cheap payment method again?

it's not broken and the miners are loving these high fees

2/3 of the code in BTC Core has to do with mining and the LN network
is introducing hubs that is really just another name for banks so we can
now be ripped off in ways we have not even thought about.

1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The United States Just Declared WAR on BITCOIN "BITCOIN BELONGS TO THE WORLD " on: January 03, 2018, 03:23:56 PM
Bitcoin has been at war for years and double cross agent Mr S-M from Japan
unleashed CPU Wars when miners compete at counting grains of sand to see
who does it faster.

20,000 miners and only 1,000 are needed and that's over kill just to process
7 transactions a second so yes Intel and big oil are happy with hardware and
energy costs but we are not happy with the fees.

1067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transation fee can be reduce??? on: January 03, 2018, 03:13:39 PM
At the moment the bitcoin network is just overloaded, and the price of bitcoin is too great for standard commissions. Just wait until the Lightning Network.

Yeah sure it is and it will stay that way just so long as the miners can get away with ripping us off.

LN looks like lots of small banks to me but the debate is not over however it's a long way off
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to deal with higher fees on: January 03, 2018, 01:12:52 PM
Why change your ways to fit in with the bank when you can always get a new bank and this is what sent
BTC downwards, fees as simple as that.

Think i will take all my money out because I don't like the blackmail from the miners
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting BTC to real money on: January 03, 2018, 01:09:10 PM
There are many ways to convert your bitcoin into fiat money. You can use exchange site like Coinbase where you can change and deposit your money in your own atm card or bank account.

Yes but Coinbase gives you a poor exchange rate unless you use GDAX and then you have to set up SEPA
with them that uses Euro's so it takes ten days to get cash out and it needs converting at both ends because they
force you to use Euro's so really it's slow and costs lots.

Must lock the doors at the casino or mug the punter when they try to leave
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Game-changer of cryptoworld ! on: January 03, 2018, 01:03:51 PM
Mining is CPU wars and it's a total waste of time and is not needed and we know this
because we have other alt-coins that don't use bullshit mining or PoW bullshit

1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lightning Network won't save me no money I don't think on: January 03, 2018, 12:18:26 AM
Forget about buying a Coffey every day from the same shop for the next month and lets deal in the real world.

Remember when you close a channel then your hit with full transaction fees by the miners as the
transaction hits the block-chain and that cost not only hurts, it's kills

Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpfvhiqFw7A

See Brian in the middle, hes a hub (Small bank sub-branch) and you could keep a channel open with him
for months and lets him link to other hubs/banks in order to relay micro transactions for you but he then has running
costs to keep his network of channels open and ends up paying a transactions fee himself when ever a channel to other hubs get closed
and written to the block-chain.

Who do you think Brian is going to pass these costs on to if not Bob ?

What will happen if Bob and Alice does not have nodes that are too small to connect and talk with each other ?

Do you think we might end up with central bank type hubs that connect the small hubs to each other by interconnecting with
other central banks and won't change the small hubs for the pleasure and this then get past back down to Bob ?

So Bob sends Alice $100

Bob >>>>> Brain <><><><><>Big Bob <><><><><>Big Goldman<><><><>Paul<<<<<<Alice
Transaction  count
          5                      200                             50,000                               2,000                 1

Alice gets her $100 and closes the channel with Paul who was charging her $1 a day for the service
because she is not a crypto-freak, it's all her fault she get hit with $51 in costs because she does not
know how to use the system.

Look at the miners, ten big name control 90% of all the miners https://blockchain.info/pools

Does anyone care to say this is not centralization and what if the big banks, sorry hubs block out all the
sub branches so we end up with ten mega banks and our wallets only speak to them.

Watch it again and see how the wool is being pulled over your eyes or better still watch this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g and let me know if you think that I am wrong please.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great News For Bitcoin! Lightening Network First Payment Was Successful! on: January 03, 2018, 12:03:21 AM
It's indeed a good news, that bitcoin transaction can be fast and cheap. Now we need to have it implemented on every transaction to really push bitcoin up from where it is now. It's a first step, but there's still work to be done.
You are wrong and on top of transaction fees you will be getting hub fees, these are banks in plain English

If you want to set up a channel with your local Coffey shop and buy a drink a day for the next year then it
will work for you but when you settle up you are back to having to pay transaction fees as the channel get closed.

in the real world you want to send anything from $0.10 to lets say $50 to many people you will only ever buy from
once in your life so you will be worse off, not better

SegWit and LN implementation began long before blocks were even close to full.

How many fixes do you need in a bug free program.

Quote
Please expand on which problems you are referring too that occured before BTC started running at capacity.

Well none i guess if we ignore current circumstances, hack and lost coins we can all blame on users or
bad designs of wallets as we tweak core BTC so what version of BTC we using now ? 0.15.1 is it  Roll Eyes

Setting a maximum price on a scarce resource (ie. blockspace) never ends well.

Why have they tried it and this "scarce resource" you call it is just an illusion but if you think that
bits and bytes are worth so much then i can always sell you a 64gb pen drive for lets say
$500,000.00 . Boy the price of data was not that high even when it cost a years wages to
buy a Winchester 2mg hard drive and these things even came in a teak wooden box.

Quote
Kindly provide me with an alt coin example that is significantly more decentralized than BTC.

Is that Pre LN or post because hubs are a step down this road not that I am saying that's such a bad thing
but your arguments for not using coordinators is none founded regardless of how I look at it and yes a car
might be theft proof but it's no good if it becomes too heavy to move is it now.

I guess i would have to say none to be honest because they are all running away from it and Mining and PoW and
block-chain when it's not a clone or fork so does that not tell you something might be a little bit wrong.

My way of fixing this mess in BTC would never get approved because too many people are making too much
money and i've worked for banks, loan sharks, broker, and something like Walmarts on-line shopping plus
stuff I cannot discus and you won't find me walking around some university campus with my head stuck
in academia so maybe that is why I am not "praising the lord" with you all

1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will this program against BTC take the value down 5000$ or highten it further? on: January 02, 2018, 10:52:57 PM
The past has shown that no government activities or programs or whatever were able to take down the value of bitcoin long term and I doubt that this program will have any impact on the bitcoin price. It would also require that milion of people would need to get aware about this program and you obviously have no marketing budget.

Annon was fully behind BTC at first and many now see it as NWO big bankers games and if they want it down then down it will go.

Half of me would feel pain in my pocket but they other half given the rip off transactions fees from miners and the development team
doing naff all about it would make me feel that justice had been served and I am playing for free by now anyway

milion of people

Are we talking about a network that can only handle seven transactions a second here ? You do make me laugh and they use
bots, not people
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin affecting the Environment on: January 02, 2018, 10:32:59 PM
If you take a look at the coinmarketcap.com chart you will see that the crypto currency market cap is continuously increasing at currently $660 billion! Yes, bitcoin is affecting the environment and you can easily see this in the online gambling industry where customers use it to easily deposit and withdraw to and from online gambling sites. However, bitcoin's dominance decreased recently to only 37% and I assume that it will dicrease further to only 20 or even less per cent. Hence there wil be other coins also affecting the environment.

How on earth could I afford to come gambling at your place when it costs me $45 to get in the door with some BTC
and $45 when I leave again when my misses who's been earning my beer money working as a cam-girl is not getting
any late nigh special requests because she's charges punters in BTC and they aint paying.

Mining and PoW not only wastes money on hardware and electrical energy but has now put glue on the cogs
of industry so can I barter my misses for a few goes on the roulette wheel please  Roll Eyes
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin affecting the Environment on: January 02, 2018, 10:24:25 PM
Double agent S-M from Japan designed a system that gave birth to CPU war between
miners and all that hardware not only kept Intel happy but also big oil as it wastes
90KWN just to store 250 bytes of data.

20,000 miners just to do what 100-200 could do must bring joy to our founding leaders
eyes and the crazy $45 in transactions fees we now pay must send him to sleep with
laughter and he knew all along that it would not scale and the development teams is
now working on Lightning Network (LN) in an effort to turn a pigs ear into a silk purse.

With your comment in the title you are about as welcome as a vicar at a wife swapping
party but you know how it is with gamblers ! Unless they get the downs then they won't
feels the highs but no this does not mean that I want to hug a tree quite just yet.

1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All these forks make bitcoin seem scammy.. they should never have been done. on: January 02, 2018, 10:08:17 PM
"they should never have been done"

Well many of these forks have come about because the old development team only have ears for the
bankers these days and are only concerned with profit for miners.

2/3 of the core code is about mining and not keeping the network stable and the joke is we didn't need
the CPU wars this created and we don't even need mining and this PoW bullshit.

Unless us developers are working for Microsoft or Apple then we don't write tight unproductive loops in
our code to waste CPU power and electrical energy and if you look at IOTA, Ripple or the more advanced
HashGraph money network then you will see that they can live without it also.

Don't fall for this new religion and don't stay behind with the vicar because I've been hearing a few
stories about him you know, shocking it is.
1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 02, 2018, 09:56:50 PM
No kidding, but the network fees are still killing it for me.  Right now I own about $5 worth of bitcoin and I couldn't spend it if I wanted to.  Not trying to be a party pooper, but I've frickin' had it with transaction times and fees.  Money shouldn't work this way, IMO.

Well said and I have spend a few hours looking into lightning from a technical perspective
and it might make the network faster but when it comes to fees  Cheesy well read my mind.

Bastards took $80 from me last week in fees and have lost any trust they had from me
but doing the maths your $5 is still worth a whopping 60 bytes of data if added to the
block-chain and it sounds much better if you times it by eight and count the bits
1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 02, 2018, 09:47:31 PM
actually all the top 10 has gone green on bittrex,
Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Moneto, Dash, its all good  Grin
Is it good my friend , is it good !

You see I want to load up on Segwit2x and I need it to get a right battering so I can buy in low
so please do your duty, slag it off, dump as soon as you can (A year if Coinbase holds your tokens)
or this poor old skint gambling addict will never ever own a full digital coin.

It's alright I don't need a lift home, I can just sleep out on the streets as usual but can you lend me a smoke please  Grin
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 02, 2018, 09:38:52 PM
Don't be premature will you now.

Them slot machines sure are quiet when punters put money in them but make a hell of a
noise when they pay money out and most of the players go home in the end with empty
pockets

oh don't forget to pay the nice lady cashier a big swag of money each time  you enter or leave
the building will you now  Cheesy in transaction fees that she calls it.
