1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: January 24, 2024, 09:05:12 PM
A successful gambler who possesses such qualities as risk management and self-control may be able to get along with gambling challenges without failing in the process. It seems very difficult to achieve the goal of becoming a successful gambler, but it's possible. Especially in the offline settings. Not sure for the online users who have many disadvantages as false provably fair. Who still has to depend on the house edge for everything. Coupled with the fact that no compliments are offered to the players. Even if gambling has not certainty the player who belongs to a comp club may be certain of his comp points being able to cover for some of his bills in the casino hotel.

He'll only have to bother about his bankroll and how it may suit the house edge. That way the gambler wouldn't have a hard time gambling for a long duration. However, it's a boring career, gambling every day without any other activity the person gets doing. Sure, there is nothing as profits, but one can earn few moneys, before he gets a big win. It's hard for a gambler who participates often not to get a win. The trouble with it, is battling with compulsiveness and managing the money meant for gambling. If one is able to take care of all that, he may not fail as a professional gambler.

It's just possible, not certain. In my own opinion, even though they have good qualities in terms of good self-control and risk management, it is not certain that they will be successful with gambling and I think it is impossible for them not to fail in the process, of course they will definitely experience many failures, after all, I think that is success with gambling. It's very impossible, therefore don't expect to be successful with the gambling you do, it's best to gamble in moderation, without overdoing it. because no one knows about luck.

They should gamble with the money they can afford to spend on gambling, because if they force it it won't work. Besides, gambling for a long time in my opinion is not a good thing. Is what you say guaranteed? I mean, are there really professional gamblers who always make a profit? In my opinion, professional gamblers don't mean they can always guess or predict correctly.  and in my opinion the problem here is people's inability to make money many gamblers want a big win that can change their life by losing a large amount of the money they have. but I agree with what you say, gambling every day is not a good thing, because in my opinion it is a path to ruin in life, not a path to success.

Profits can be made in different ways, in gambling. Making profits from our wager is almost impossible. But successful gamblers get profits in many other places where gambling knowledge is required. TV and radio shows, books, movies, grand prizes like cars, etc. Gamblers who make money from selling their gambling knowledge and still pertain in gambling activity can be tagged successful. What is needed is staying in control and being disciplined. However, from your view, I understand the point that gambling as a successful player who keeps winning is not possible, yes. That's not real, since the house edge still play vital role. But it's more like a mental game than what the casino has to provide. It's almost or is certain that the jackpot returns to the house. Regardless of the time and duration, the house is patiently waiting for the money they gave a gambler.

Then the player quietly submits the jackpot back to the casino. Which means even the house edge being 2% doesn't mean the gambler wouldn't win more money that seems like he's profiting. The player can spend only 2% of his wins on other financial responsibilities not pertaining to gambling. Whatever makes this the way it is, shows that in that aspect, a gambler can't be successful, you are right. But fine we both know that gambling is a broad market. And there are lots of beneficial things to learn through the gambling niche, as gamblers. Such that given time we may be earning money by providing some gambling related services or information to other gamblers in the market. Isn't it a success in gambling, when one make money through teaching about gambling on TV? Wouldn't he be called a successful gambler?
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 24, 2024, 05:53:39 PM
I don't think patience counts for anything in gambling. Any gambling game has its own time frame and winning depends more on your choice and luck than on patience. Of course patience plays an important role in our life, but this skill is more suitable for investments, because in this sphere the ability to wait very often helps to break even a not the best deal.
Patience can help a gamblers for betting panickly. and if someone bet in relax way then it can help them to decrease lossing chance if they loss it will not a big amount. so patience can help but it can't help to quite gambling. It is normal to lose in gambling.  No one can win alone.  So if one wants to continue gambling then he must have the patience to continue gambling with low amount bets for a long period of time.  Then the amount of his loss will be less. But if you bet a large amount to make a quick profit without being patient, your loss will be boosted and the possibility of a big loss will increase a lot.

The point is that if you feel that you are a fairly active gambler then obviously patience is something that cannot be ignored and you must have, you must apply this patience especially when you are running a session, nothing but patience will be useful only to minimize something they don't want and not at all to lead to a way to get a win. We have to understand that gambling is a game of probability or luck which means that any result can happen at the end of the session and if you are lucky then the victory will come by itself, meaning that you don't need to be too ambitious to get the victory because you will never know when you will be lucky to get the victory, And therefore all we can do is take some precautions such as self-control along with setting some boundaries, and also on the other hand if in the end you lose then you should not be too angry or upset because after all as I said above that gambling is just a game of "possibility" which means you can win and you can lose, and by applying patience then this will be useful to prevent you from doing actions out of control because of emotions.

Patience plays a vital role in gambling, a player who holds on to wagering a designated amount of money per prediction. Needs some it to keep up with doing this often time and helping himself not to waste his money. About the wins, it also requires that the gambler utilize the need for keeping up his strategy until the time he's meant to win. Every gambler will at some point win his games. But the patience to wait for the right time lacks in many gamblers. And they rush things, because they want to win immediately. That's not possible for any gambler to big immediately. Even if he does, he'd hardly manage the funds. However, inexperienced players need patience to adapt to a responsible gambling ethics or skills. Which remains the best lesson one should focus on learning while gambling.

Money comes and goes, but our skills stay with us forever. Why then would a gambler focus on money alone, if his initial intention wasn't to make money off gambling. Such players don't look into having patience that's why they have disputes handling money in gambling. While those who come to learn may utilize being patient with their teacher or the learning process, it's crucial they don't focus on money. Although it's hard to avoid in gambling, losing or winning money. With the right self-consciousness a player can overlook it and wait for the right time. Nothing happens if it's not it's time in gambling, regardless of the type of strategy the player uses. It's a matter of the house's decision. On whom the win goes to, especially in games like slots.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 24, 2024, 05:29:12 PM
If the first experience is tempting or vice versa, Then the decision is up to you, do you want to continue or stop. The risk of losing will always be felt by any gambler, no matter whether it is a senior gambler or a gambler who has just set foot in an offline or online casino. Gambling is not a job that can bring in money, not a place to invest and not a place to solve all the problems you are facing.

You must be prepared to face risks when gambling because this is not a place to make money easily, luck may come your way but tomorrow you will get disappointing results. Always control your emotions when you are in a tight situation and use cold money so you don't get too stressed when you lose.
Those who are starting to get to know gambling will be curious about the results they receive, whether they win or lose, so most of them will continue gambling to satisfy their curiosity. But for some gamblers who remember that they don't need to return to gambling too often because they already know that they have a greater chance of losing than winning, they will not do it. Instead, they will look for other activities that will not use much or even no money. They know that gambling requires money and carries the risk of losing, which, if they are not aware of, the loss will be even greater. The risk of losing will always be there, and we will not be able to win easily, so instead of taking the risk of losing too much, we should control ourselves and always take care of ourselves when gambling. And to control ourselves from the first experience in gambling is to try to accept whatever results we receive from gambling and don't think we can win on another occasion because many people try but they end up losing again.

Gambling for newbies may be a hassle if they have no guardian who would take them on the long journey of gambling. It requires a steady learning for a newbie to stand strong emotionally to deal with all the feelings that has to do with gambling results. Every gambler was once in this stage, but not all made it out of the newbie stage safely. Many got addicted along the line, and I know of other gamblers who didn't continue as a result of the outcome of their gambling. Those who had no money and focused on making a living through gambling, got disappointed and stopped gambling. While those who had some funds, but needed to make extra income from gambling also lost their earnings to excessive gambling. But finds it difficult to quit since they've got other sources of income. Hence, they continued the chase. Don't know their recent condition, but many may have been addicted.

However, the newbies have a truck load of advice on the internet, but it's not enough for the ride. I think one should be focused on learning how he feels on a win or lose scenario, before looking at other gambling strategies. Because the emotional response is what actually matters. Those impulses can be controlled if the player is dedicated to following the risk management strategies. Added with good time management and critical thinking, sufficient enough to let the gambler know he's no longer on the right track. Depending on his expenses or ways of participating in the game. In a nutshell, a newbie should get a physical trainer to help them through this, because once they fail the process, it's hard to reconcile or revive with oneself. Since the person needs a person to change when addicted, he should also get a person to guide him while joining the gambling niche.

1064  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 24, 2024, 04:49:41 PM
Wagering few cents out of a small amount of money would take a gambler more than 5 hours duration in a gambling session. It all depends on the gambler to have the energy to stay on screen and enjoy his game. Remember he won't lose out on all his wagers or predictions. Hence his winnings can be added to the bank roll. The strategy would be stopping once 5 hours has exhausted. If the person does this every day, it's quite a long time, but if he possesses strong discipline, he won't get addicted. The other good side of it, is that the gambler needs to take some break at some point. His brain would begin to reset to normal, if it was thinking abstractly and going towards addiction. Since it has to do with mental disorder, many factors affect a gambler to get addicted which has less to do with how consistently he gambles. Anxiety, real life challenges, can lead a gambler to get addicted.

Especially when the problem or challenge is distracting him mentally, such that he gambles without any ethic or self-control. If he wagers all his money in the process, faster than he should have done in his right mental state, at some point he'd get sad over it and get depressed in essence. From the little experiences available to me, mental disorder doesn't have round the clock. Sometimes the victim gets to realize himself for some minutes. During those periods he begin to question he actions, and in the process of trying to recover the brain issues starts again. Therefore, you may hear them say no to gambling, but in the next hour you'll find the person gambling again. These things may not have been caused the moment they began to gamble every day. But, at the very few weeks they started gambling. It could be the real-life problem is the primary reason they started gambling.
In my opinion, the time you mentioned is too long, even if they bet with a small amount of money, it doesn't guarantee they can last that long, because everything can change from one moment to another, and of course the most important thing is the negative moments in gambling, because it is impossible for us to gamble that positive moments will occur more often. and in my opinion, if people are disciplined about gambling, they will not gamble for that long, I think they will only spend 1/2 an hour. If it's 5 hours, in my opinion it's no longer discipline. but no one knows because everyone has their own choices.

I think that if they respond wrongly to gambling, it can have an impact on their own health and mental health. because gambling can also affect a person's thinking and it can also trigger an impact on their mental state which could be a big problem. and with this of course I think they will face the destruction of their lives. and it can also spread to their family, so I think that if they gamble every day, it will only ruin their lives.

Gambling for that amount of time, helps the person to get filled with the transient satisfaction of gambling for the moment. And may not get the urge to gamble again till the next day or some other times. Gambling for 2 hours may not be enough for most gamblers. Splitting times may work; 2 hours morning and evening. One needs to gamble to the level he wants so that he wouldn't get constant urge to gamble. That's why gambling 5 hours works just fine. However, it sounds a long hour of gambling. But while gambling one wouldn't realize how much time has crept by. If one has those hours to spare, they can engage in gambling without falling victim of addiction. It's crucial that the gambler also holds his emotions while gambling for a long period. Like I said, they'll definitely be a win during these periods of gambling, and it could be added to bank roll. Such that it wouldn't run dry. However, it's a personal recommendation.

Moreover, if one thinks he won't make it out safely of 5 hours of gambling, he can do with the time he's comfortable gambling. What matters is the discipline to maintain the wagering speed and amount. Gambling for a long time shows some discipline more than gambling for few minutes, wagering all the money, or going all in. I was one time an All-in gambling victim. It costs more money than gambling for a long time. And increases the impulses or urge to gamble again, as the player expects a huge win out of going all in. You'd then understand that it's not about the time spent, but the amount of money wagered at a go within seconds. Also, the urge to gamble again, immediately after losing it all. The long-time gambler who spends 5 hours would still be enjoying his game while the short time gambler with lesser discipline would be struggling with winning big after losing all his funds at a go.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 24, 2024, 04:23:44 PM
This is the same thing that happened with my brother,  where he was crazy about playing online games but not gamblings the same thing happened in that he asked for money to fulfill the requirements of the game and this of course I didn't like it, because he spent his money just for a game that had no use for his own life so when he asked me for money, I didn't give it to him because I knew it would be used for something that wasn't useful.

back to the discussion if my brother or my relatives are also addicted to gambling then I will not support their activities,  because with them like that, of course, it means that their finances have been destroyed and they ask relatives in the neighborhood to gamble again, and most likely it is certainly not easy to get a win so the money he gets from others can run out again which leads them to do it again. of course this harms him and his relatives.  In my opinion, everyone should be responsible for their own actions, so if they really want to gamble, go ahead,  but with a note that they must use their own money earned with their own sweat.

The story with your brother is a lot different from this one because at least he is purchasing in-app products and that is him buying something. But with gambling, you’re not buying anything but giving your money and risking it for more. With gambling you can lose it all in seconds, but your brother’s game isn’t risky, as we already know the result of purchasing things in games - you get the in-app content for sure. However, if you do not give him the money, he’ll learn to be content and play it as it is. Same way, if you don’t give a gambler, they won’t have that money to risk.

Video game players who purchase those products such as armor and weapons with real cash are avid gamers. And spend lots of time on screen playing those games. It takes up their focus, like gambling does to players. Some people are addicted to video games and would also do anything to keep up with the gaming requirements. Hence, whatever one wants to do, they'll need to work on it till they get there. Life as a gamer is never simple, they both, gamers and gamblers, need some control to keep up with good gaming habit. It's not wrong to beg for something, but one shouldn't feel entitled to some other person's money. Those games affect the players mentally as well, and doesn't sit right with young people, growing up. From his complaints above, you'd notice how it has affected him. Despite not being gambling. Not that his brother is addicted to video gaming.

Much more the stress gambling addicts would afflict to their loved ones and the society. It's all expensive and requires steady income to keep up with gambling habit. If the gambler is not acquainted with enough money, his target would be his family and friends, which ends up being a torn in the flesh of not just the player, but his acquittances. So, while everyone should be focused on taking responsibility of their habit, it's important or crucial to remind these people of the need to stay careful and not get addicted. Because when they get in problem gambling, we won't have an option than to help them out of the struggle. In a nutshell, not giving them the money won't solve the problem.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 24, 2024, 03:58:33 PM
I agree with you, indeed most gamblers are irresponsible and do not know the limits when gambling, so it is rare that there are gamblers who can be properly responsible for the gambling they do. what must be considered is that the chances of winning at gambling are very slim compared to the chances of losing, so we should gamble with limits without having to continue gambling so that it makes us lose a lot of money, and of course that doesn't want to happen. With those who want to recover their losses I hope they can see this side, because with this maybe they will realize that victory in gambling is difficult to get, and if they have won it is better to make the best use of it.
If there were lots of responsible gamblers, maybe we wouldn't find gamblers who are addicted to gambling, that's why gamblers have to listen to every advice from senior gamblers wherever they are and look at it from this perspective, where gambling requires limits, the more restricted they are, the more they can prevent themselves. From gambling addiction, on average, gamblers always want to recover their losses, just because they don't accept the losses they experience, that's why many gamblers lose a lot of money.

If only gamblers knew that losing was part of gambling, maybe they would accept every defeat they experienced in gambling, because there are not only wins in gambling, it is important to understand and understand the meaning of defeat in order to be able to deal with it well. Most gamblers like that usually won't gamble responsibly because they can't accept their losses. One thing they have to understand is that playing gambling should be for fun and as entertainment. If their mindset is like that, I'm sure they will gamble responsibly.

Gamblers who chase losses are not doing the right thing, it's a means of mismanaging their bankroll and gambling routine. When gambling with a plan, the process gets out of hand once the reason to win more erupts, which isn't the right strategy for a gambler to follow. We all need to understand that gambling is not a form of winning big money or things related to it, most people who followed such route ended up being addicted or losing control in the process. Hence, staying out of such thoughts would make us good gamblers and reduce the high rate of addicted people in the gambling niche. I'd also add that if anyone begin to act strangely, especially gamblers, following up with some questions and treatment would do a great deal in saving the person from getting to a level worse as punishing his family.

The trouble starts once the gambler begins to feel he's not getting things right or isn't good enough to win or get victory in gambling. Humans most times when not winning in any activity they find themselves into would begin to have a low self-esteem. Thereby, increasing their chances of engaging in any method or strategy just to win. As gamblers those thoughts, shouldn't be taken as necessary since it requires that the gambler enjoys his time while gambling. And forget about winning big in the process. If it's the time for the gambler to win, he'd definitely win, and then struggle with managing the money. One trouble most gamblers would need to bypass or go through while gambling. Some end up mismanaging it and ruining their financial economy.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 24, 2024, 09:24:46 AM
Parents have lots of work to do in the society, although the current parents who don't know much about the tech world, have done their best, but seems they failed in their teachings regarding the use of gadgets for longer period. Hence, a new set of parenthood would be emerging soon, which include the tech savvies and computer trained people. Then we'd know if the problem is from the parents or the schools. It may be the fault of the parents to some extent, but the society has a lot of duties to do with young people to stop their excessive engagement in gambling. Most of them hide these activities from their parents, and it's getting out of hand, even in the recent world economy, parents hardly spend time with kids. Both parents go to work for long hours, some do shift, to get more money to settle the family bills and take care of the child.

While they're away to work the child may engage in different activities due to boredom. Going out with friends and peers, is their best fun time. So, it'll be a tough thing to change the mindset of most young people to begin to see gambling for it truly is, other than a way of earning money. Online casino has made it very simple for youths to gamble excessively and get addicted in the process. Many youths are lonely and have nothing doing, that's why they spend their stipends or pocket money gambling. However, other youths are getting deeply addicted to video games. Which is about to ruin the social lives of the young people in the society. The electricity lifestyle has pushed the society to a way different level and things are expected to remain the same.
Because currently there are still a lot of parents who don't really understand technology because every era they live in is different from today's times, maybe for today's young parents they understand technology better and understand what online gambling is. There are some parents who limit playing on cell phones and there are also parents who not are too demanding by limiting the use of cellphones because nowadays many of the young generation are strict and don't care about their parents prohibitions. So that as parents they can't do much, they can only monitor their children's activities and hope they don't do anything out of control, which in the end detrimental to their parents.

And parents who are busy working definitely don't pay too much attention to their children because they are too concerned about works to be able to earn money to support their children lives. No matter how busy parents are, taking care of their children is still important. They also need to be cared for so that their future can be organized and if possible, they can avoid gambling which will hinder his future.
In my opinion, those who bear full responsibility are the parents of each young generation. If parents provide education about the bad things about gambling and advise them well, then the younger generation can understand and comprehend these bad thing.

It's not simple task to handle the upbringing of children, and whatever morals we use on them would matter during their youthful age. Most times during therapy, the expert would go as far as wanting to know the upbringing of the child. How he was treated as a toddler and how he responds, when given a gift. These things repeat itself while the child is growing. You'd watch or observe that a child who is hyperactive or very happy when offered a gift, when involved in gambling as a youth may be so happy when he wins a game. The joy could take the player farther to try again. Although, it's good to be responsive when winning, but with no proper control it could distract the player from focusing on his game. So, parents need to stay very observing of the reaction of their kids and know why they've chosen to behave like that.

Upbringing requires consistency, as it takes years to change a person's character. Looking at your response it shows that since the youths are strict and don't abide by the rules or advice of their parents, what would be the fate of the youths when they get to parenthood? And would they deal with their own kids? that we may not be sure of, but from the look of things it'll be a difficult task for a gambler to change his child who wants to gamble. You'd notice that in the nearest future gambling may be an overlooked habit. Which won't be bad, but there may be a high rate of addiction in that essence. Just like in the case of many other addictions where youths are involved, their kids may grow involuntarily to participate in those activities, if care is not taken.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 24, 2024, 08:53:54 AM
That is one just one of the disgusting thing an addictive gambler can do, people don't really know how bad addiction is until they found their self inside that ugly situation, and if you do more findings about  most addictive gamblers you will see that their are even worse thing they can actually do base on their addiction.

That man that commited that crime, after he had finished serving, no body will tell him to stop when he will stop, besides the addiction will leave him due to the fact that he cannot gambles when he is serving his prison term, i just hope that most gamblers can learn from this.
Yes of course a gambling addict can do a lot of bad things for his gambling money. There was a gambler in my neighborhood who used to gamble regularly and at one time his family was in a very good condition but his family was ruined due to gambling. The gambling and drug addict man asks for money at home for gambling and his mother refuses to pay him because the drug addict gambler hacked his mother to death with a knife and soon after the incident the police arrested him and imposed severe punishment against him. Such brutal incidents happen a lot but gambling addicts learn very little from such incidents because a gambling addict is not like normal people.

I've got no experience about the prisons, but it seems prisoners engage in some form of games, to keep themselves busy. However, don't know what would be used in exchange for money, it could be their meal. Such cases as that of the man in Op's description, would leave him serving multiple years in prison. Which means he'd be very old before he gets out of the prison custody. However, being in prison, may not change the man's attitude, but his aging bodies won't let him think about gambling anymore. The addict on the story of Barikui1 may have found himself in a cruel situation, where he thinks his life wouldn't work without gambling. If he had double addictions, it's way too high for a person to control. Such a player would have been taken to a clinic or rehab before he got himself into the condition.

The problem with most gamblers is that, though right, not everyone feels he'd be in similar situation as the stories we've read or seen happen. Anybody can be that way, but not all gamblers. Gamblers train themselves differently, and lots of players think about whatever they're into and how they'll benefit through it on the long run. It has never been easy battling with the urge to gamble more which leads to addiction. But it's like an obligation, where one needs to understand his need for being responsible in every aspect of his life activity. Every gambler owes himself the responsibility for his actions. So, going against our wills to stay responsible will only ruin the life of the gambler to a destructive one, which ends up bringing down a successful family.

1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 22, 2024, 05:26:46 PM
I personally rarely socialize in online gambling, and I don't really pay attention to global chat. If you want to gamble and socialize, it's better to gamble physically with your friends or relatives who also have a hobby of gambling, rather than going to a physical gambling place, for In my opinion, they only interfere with concentration, causing us to lack focus in the game
The socialization aspect of online gambling is not necessary and I don't know why the OP explains the dialer tells every gambler to be active in chat, but we need a specific explanation about the kaisno site he is using because there are no rules that require users to be active in chat. I rarely monitor the chat unless the gambling system has an error then I will see complaints from other gamblers in the chat.

Even offline gambling does not require a social aspect to interact with other gamblers, but the social aspect is not an important factor in gambling because we have to focus on gambling.

That's not the primary aim of gambling and shouldn't bother any player. The main aim is to be active and make meaningful predictions. Other factors are secondary and wouldn't make any difference for the gambler whether he associates with gamblers or not. There is no rule about that. Maybe the Op participated in a live game where their opinion would be needed for a specific reason. It's not wrong for a dealer to let them discuss or chat online. However, it's not meant to be a rule, it's just a voluntary decision for the gambler. The fun part is only reasonable if we go with our friends for the purpose of getting fun while playing game of luck. There the players can align with other gamblers and build a strong network for the day, able to create enough fun for them. Once the day is over, they may go home to gamble online is the urge to gamble still drags the gambler. So, offline casinos, shouldn't be neglected because of online casinos. If the player is not able to get what he wants online, he can easily go offline and feed himself with new conversation from other gamblers.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 22, 2024, 05:17:21 PM
Everyone is living his personal life, even though we tend to relate or have friends or even consult people about a thing or two, it doesn't change the fact that we all are living our independent lives. You should care less about what people say when you are gambling as long as you have your thinking cap intact and not having to be living wrecked as a result.
You are absolutely right, no matter who says what. My games do not affect others in any way, so I don’t worry about what they will think or say. Since this is just a pastime, I don’t see anything wrong with it, my friends and I bet on sporting events which makes watching matches much more interesting. Another thing is antisocial players who stand at slot machines and beg for change for games, or those players who are addicted can bring discomfort to others, which in turn causes dissatisfaction and condemnation of gambling in general.

The addicted players are the reason for the society's bad publicity on gambling, which happened to have affected the thoughts of many gamblers around the globe. Whenever, in the midst of nongamblers, what they say about gambling doesn't sound right. Because they've encountered some addicted players who caused their family trouble. These thoughts or complaints from such people is not meant to bother a stable gambler, they are only having fun through gambling. People must generalize in their words against gamblers, due to the fact that they'll hard invest time to research for more truth regarding responsible and compulsive gamblers. Such things on derails their conversation to a point where nothing meaningful come out from their mouth, other than hate speech. Due to critics, some gamblers prefer to hide their habit, and don't discuss it with close friends.

As they may not like the stigma that'll be placed on them by the society. Even the addicted players don't open up due to same stigma. The society need to advance more to a better thinking level where people don't just deduce to a false information. It affects most gamblers, but I wouldn't see myself being carried away by what they'll have to say about me as a gambler. It only unveils an opportunity to go into discussion with them and share more insights with them about where they're getting things wrong. I know some of the nongamblers, would learn from a gambler if the gambler is responsible and is ready tell them about gambling. And maintaining a strict rule on why the nongambler should not join gambling without doing prior research. To avoid being blamed on the long run.

Crazy that I read this thread again after watching this video where a husband and wife goes home from a casino and was almost robbed at gunpoint if it weren't for the awareness of his wife. According to John Correa the host of this show, they have been followed from the casino.

https://youtu.be/Kr29aCrzhyA?t=43
This video was uploaded 2 hours ago.

This is the kind of risk you are onto when you go offline casino and most probably these bad guys knew the couple had a sum.

Kind of scary. Even scarier, it is to think that this is the kind of stuff which commonly takes places in developing countries where gambling is allowed and the police is weak or corrupt. It does not take much to criminals to get into the casino, pretend to be playing and then wait for their victims to earn a lot of money... When the night is over, they basically have easy prey, intoxicated and carrying a lot of cash in the pockets...
Perhaps this is a strong case for people from developing countries to avoid brick and mortar casinos as much as possible and focus on online and crypto casinos, for the own safety and the safety or their friends and family members. Even if someone in that context managed to safely get home from the casino with their money, if the criminals are evil enough and the sum is big enough, they would not doubt to kidnap family and friends of the gambler for the sake of asking for ransom.

Please, let us be careful when we win in public and also let us be careful when comes to who we disclose our winnings. Better safe than sorry.

That's really a tough and life-threatening encounter. Many people have complained about this while playing offline casino. But it's better to sleep in the casino's hotel room if it gets dark, then go the next day. This is one big advantage of online casino over offline casino. Nobody would be aware of you online wins. Unless you open up to them. The offline casino exposes the wins of players and people around celebrate with them. Thereby risking the life of those people to criminal who would want to attack and extort money from them illegally. Also, the location of the casino matters, if the players are not staying close by and would have to travel lonely roads back to their house. It's risky holding whooping amount of money in the vehicle while driving home.

I think the casino would need to divert to paying winners straight to their bank account, instead of cash prize. The risk is getting much, and players may be putting their lives at risk on the name of gambling. It's fine they were lucky they weren't harmed. I like offline casino for one reason, the need to take our wife alongside us and enjoy the evening. It's more like a sight-seeing. The best part of it would be spending the night in the hotel. Don't know if any casino exists with no hotel, except so, the players will need to go home earlier before night. Such fun may not be found in online casino. As we'd still be in our house, they'll be no changes. However, for safety reasons the gamblers would need to play games online, instead.

Greed is one reason why one will continue to loose even while others are winning, been greedy and desperate to win especially big amounts, jackpots and the likes of it, is one reason most persons lose their funds all to gambling while some other persons out there on a daily basis are winning more often than others are winning.

If one can be more careful to limiting their picks to a few ones and not hunting or piling up big odds with accumulator, its very possible for such a person to win almost all the time but most times greed will not let you want to be patient enough going through such process but will make you think you can be too Smarter than the casino and get it all at ones because you have got a good idea what the possible outcome of most games could be so why not just pile up all the games and stay at the odds advantage and win big, that's how the mind tricks you into losses.
I'm not so sure that you can win at a casino all the time, even with the best discipline in the world. The casino has a lot of games in which little depends on you, and you have to rely only on luck, in which case I am almost sure that in this case the casino will win more often, because the player will need to fight with his emotions, and the casino will just wait. I’m not sure that the words career and gambling can be correlated with each other, gambling is entertainment, and a career can be built at work, the difference here is quite significant.

One of the reasons is because after all gambling has no certainty and guarantee to always manage to get a win, this is nothing more than a profit - profit activity that involves risk which means if you are lucky then you will win but if in the session you do absolutely no luck then obviously the result you will lose again, and also on the other hand it is very difficult to be able to get lucky in a row and this is the reason why we gamblers always lose more often than win. Gambling is a business for casinos/brokers to make a profit and how can you get a lot of winnings while on the other hand the bookie creates gambling just to benefit them? this is the big question and here is also the logical reason why gambling is called an activity for profit.

On the other hand, it is clear that it is the casinos that manage everything, they decide who wins and who will lose, and if you lose more often then that means you are one of the people who are victims of the casinos for the profits they get. Therefore this is why we must always have good risk management in gambling, because otherwise you will only waste money and time, and this is also the reason why we should make gambling an entertainment activity to fill spare time or boredom.

1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 22, 2024, 01:55:06 PM
Online gambling gives portability and comfortability than the offline casino but doesn't provide some of the good things of life offline casino possess. Although nobody is restricted from using the offline casino, the online players can switch to physical casino any moment they feel lonely. However, not everybody has the ability to start or hold conversations with other people, hence the offline casino may not be a conducive place for them, regardless. Hence, it's crucial that gamblers who intend to make fun while using the physical casino should be able to engage and approach people. But if they have a clique already, it wouldn't be a hassle to get fun there. I think most online gamblers are comfortable with the provision of the opportunity to gamble online. Other requirements are secondary, the aim has been achieved. Gambling and getting paid online is what matters.
The difference between online and offline gambling is not much a chance to socialize with other people and enjoy the entertainment on offer at physical betting shops. But it is true that online gambling is more popular than offline in today's era with the advancement of technology and everyone feels more comfortable like offline gambling no need to present themselves a gambler can enjoy online gambling from his own home. And here the information is easy to keep secret. In the physical casino, everyone knows everything and all the hearts of the society come out.

On that perspective, the offline casino unveils most of the results or information of the player, like his face, earnings etc. I mean everyone would know the person as a gambler, compared to the online casino. Where the gambler can conceal his gambling habit to himself, while risking his personal information to KYC. Having this is mind, you'd understand that no place is safe; online or offline. Since the government insists on KYC online casinos lost its privacy feature. But the player is safe from his loved one or friends knowing that he's into gambling. That's what you're talking about, it makes a good difference. In the world of today, people who go to offline casinos, may not really go out to the society or our environment with a microphone telling them about seeing us in a casino. Things look mature.

A player who doesn't want such visibility, can go to a distant casino far from his house or neighborhood and gamble. If he's a social being, enough, he'd get more fun playing offline than online. It now depends on the gambler. The online space is mainly for gamblers who don't have the energy to associate with friends, in the offline casino. Hence, they wish to continue their habit at home to keep things safe and secure about their behavior. Although it strived during the locked down period, but that may have been the reason for online casino. A place for less social people to spend time gambling, at the serenity of their home. Nothing else can be offered to the players, he's social activity now depends on him. Online casino puts every other responsibility on the player, aside, providing games, support, and chat box.
1074  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 22, 2024, 01:17:26 PM
That's reachable, gamblers can get addicted if they do it every day, but not gamblers. Although the player may seem to be addicted, in the eyes of people around him, because they conclude he won't go a day without gambling. Addiction is not about how many days the person gambles. It has to do mental strength and self-control. A person that gambles everyday can decide to stay weeks without gambling, due to some new developments in their personal life. But an addict will find it hard to spare a minute without gambling. However, those bad players who wager money every day on a game, may not get what they want. Looking at their reactions you'd understand that a companion maybe what they want, when trying to tell others about their gambling technique.

It's a boring habit to gamble for a long time each day. The duration is an important factor whenever we gambler, not just the regularity of our gambling actions. If I gambler 5 hours every day wagering little money, it's closely impossible to get in trouble, compared to when I gambler for more than 10hrs wagering big amount of money. Regardless of how big our bank roll is, gambling for long hours every day can affect the gambler's behavior, to lose control of himself. Sometimes it's not about the funds, though contributes a lot, the consistency can get used to the body and brain of the gambler. Such that staying a day without gambling could cost the appetite of the gambler, until he gambles. To them it'll be more like a wasted time, for staying days without gambling.

In my opinion, if they do it every day, it indicates that they are addicted and crazy which leads to addiction. what you say is true, but even so, in my opinion, if they do it like that, it is possible that what they are doing is also a path to addiction, or it also triggers them to become addicted to gambling, and what is certain is that you are gambling every day in my opinion is not a good thing.,

I myself don't have such principles, because in my opinion if someone is like that then it is a way to speed up their addiction to gambling. with them determining a certain time as you said, gambling with 5 hours and with small capital. But my question is, with the small capital you use, can it last for the specified time? What if the capital you used has already run out, but you still have hours left to gamble, will you deposit the money back or not?
because the chance of winning at gambling is small, so the possibility is that you will lose, and indirectly the small capital you use will certainly not last long.

1075  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 22, 2024, 12:38:31 PM
I believe that what you intended typing here is "Gambling should be played in such a way that the gambling does not control us but that we control the gambling". We should be in total control of whatever choices we make and whatever things we get involved in. Gambling is a voice made by everyone that engages in it, nobody is a born gambler, our gambling habits is a reflection of our choices and our rate of responsibility or irresponsibility ass the case may be.  Gambling addiction is a display of irresponsibility by gamblers and the fact that your family is being victimized because of your gambling choices increases the measure of your irresponsibility.

The deprivation that the family faces, especially the children creates resentment in their minds and the build up rather quickly until they completely hate the parent for the negligence on their part. Gambling addicts in this category doesn't have good relationships with their children and that may possibly lead to the children abandoning that parent and never wanting anything to do with them. Such gambler suffers great loneliness at old age (that's if they ever get old) and only few of them ever gets the chance of reconciling with their families.
Yes, gambling must be controlled by us so that we don't lose self-control when gambling. Many people end up losing control of themselves, which causes them to become addicted to gambling. This must be taken seriously so that we can reduce the level of desire to gamble and also not use gambling beyond its limits. We are the ones who choose to gamble, so we should be able to be responsible in gambling so that we don't experience problems with losing money or getting addicted to gambling. If we can gamble responsibly, we will not cause problems for our families, especially as our children will not follow us in gambling.

Children will experience the hardest consequences of gambling because apart from seeing their parents gambling, they are also likely to see their parents separating or divorcing because of the problems triggered by gambling. It is not gambling that is wrong, but the person is at fault because they have used gambling excessively, causing them to experience difficulties in their lives. These children will experience emotional disturbances because they may also see violence occurring in their house, especially when their parents lose at gambling and blame everything on the people in their house.

Indeed, it won't be a sound encounter for the growing children. Coming from a family where the head is addicted. What then would be the fate of the child. Not all the children will get addicted or follow the ways of their father, but it'll be a hard experience on the end of the child. As he'll think bad of gambling and those thoughts could affect the brain of the child. I could remember a thread of a guy angry over what happened to his addicted father. He in the thread, wasn't addicted, but he has no reason to give gambling a chance one bit. He may have taken the best choice, most people would say, but on the long run it's bad to hate an activity dreadfully. Not saying it's his fault, no. The father is the bad player and has proven himself an irresponsible gambler, for making his family hate gambling because of him.

This era should be the best time for parents who engage in gambling, to fight for the wellbeing of their children. To make sure they don't get addicted into gambling, or understand what gambling is about, and not have hatred on gambling. Following the trend, and how fast the gambling industry is growing, most family will have at least two gamblers, and a society a few more gambling addicts. This can be controlled with the help of the society, making a strict rule against problem gambling. So, that the kids growing up would know what's in for them if they ever get addicted in Gambling. Addiction is quietly disturbing the growth of the society's economy. Addicted players should be looked into and helped out of their struggles.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 22, 2024, 11:57:50 AM
The internet itself is really a huge distraction despite how huge it could help a child's education. Even adults are not safe from gambling risks.
Protecting the kids from gambling risks is now essential they should not engage in gambling and win big in their first game because this is exactly the reason why a person will try to keep on gambling in hopes that he can win bigger than before.

I have a kid that I have to keep the conversation really alive and interesting just so he will come with me walking in the park and not just watching youtube and playing his phone.

You have a point, that's why it's better to have a guidance and proper conversation between parents and kids nowadays. It is important to answer their questions and curiosities if they have , so that they will not seek answers from other people which usually turns to become one of the reason why they know how to engage in this kind of activity, Usually some other kids really wants to find an answer by the help of the internet which cause them a lot to become more curious, that's why having one on one conversation will easily help them to know and to understand why they shouldn't try gambling.
Due to technology today on which this particular aspect would really be that normal or really just that there would really be missed handling of our children as a parent on which i could really tell this basing up on real experience on which there's no way that you could really be able to monitor every single move and actions made out by our children on which it would really be just that right that you should really know on what are your responsibilities on how to handle them up. Dont make yourself that easily give up because its part of us as a parent.
Anything could really be that destructive if we wont really be that careful when it comes to those possible things that could affect out on the way.

A child grows according to the life in and outside his society. The training a child gets at home, differs from what the society would teach him. That's why they're complications between parent child relationship, in recent days the teachings don't corollate. In the past, if I may assume, before the invention of electricity and internet, parents still had to battle gambling addiction with their kids. Casinos existed, and if it wasn't there then, people gambled on their own, in different games like football, wrestling, bull fight etc. It may have been the growth of man up to this stage that youths and adults will gamble. These days it has been innovated to suit the recent technology which the world is so fascinated about, the internet. To get the attention of the child, it's mainly about video games, or online videos.

All they want is a device to keep them busily happy. While parents tend to change the life of their ward to focus on books or choose to ask them questions other than google, they need to provide the time between them and their kids. Children want their parents around them, they want to grow close to their parent. But have been denied of such privilege what would the child do when his parents are not at home to teach him. He runs to google for any unanswered question that's bothering him. There he can get some ads pointing to a site he may be too tender to visit. Like gambling. If he had some close relationship, they would voluntarily tell them about the site he's visiting. It rarely happens. Most kids keep it to themselves, trying to make their parents proud with a huge gambling win.

Fact and they will continue to play in order to have the last which in reality it usually the gambling center that has it until they are able to wake up to reality and accept defeat in order to have a sense of reason.
Something that is not needed in the society and gamblers need to respect their instincts not just in decision making, but in seting up an accurate score.
This is the reason why I stopped depending on sure odds, after past experience that made me stop gambling before I came back again though now even if I use it now, I don't bother much about it but I usually place bet on my own and I'm becoming better now.

A good number of them don't realize they're not living a real life, thinking of gaining all their money from the casino. It's part of the goal to try winning, but not about a competition or looking at the result of other people. Or going too far as purchasing predictions. I think gamblers are taking it too far, forgetting that they'll need to follow some good gambling routines, able to help them stay away from problem gambling and they wouldn't have a deal with having patience in their gambling journey. Which should be a great means of escaping addiction. The activities gamblers feed their brain as regards to gambling doesn't help their thoughts. As gamblers we need to understand the behavioral effects of the strategies, we take on the umbrella of winning big in gambling. It begins to get used to the brain to act in those ways during gambling.

The gambler may be thinking he's still on the driver's seat of his behavior but won't realize he's acting out involuntarily to some of his moves. Until he can't regret it anymore, then just continue that way without control. It gets normalized in his brain. That's why the person's behavior begin to change and adapt to the new gambling behavior. He wouldn't mind any other exercise of life. Some would forget to eat. So, if gamblers begin to reduce the extra actions, they make to win big, they'll be learning gambling and understand how to behave as a gambler. Depending on our prediction would work fine and help us decide our next moves properly. Doing the observations and research at our leisure time, the brain will be adjusting to a better shade of reasoning. Other than misbehavior.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 22, 2024, 08:51:12 AM
I realize that nowadays many younger generations are involved in online gambling which is easier in accessibility of casinos they like and even simpler which is not so complicated if you want to play in online casinos.

There are many impacts where they lose money, I think it's normal more they certainly don't want to be a productive person, don't want to work, have no other activities other than gambling because they only hope for luck if they want their money to come again, actually this has been a lot and separated from their parents because they don't care or they don't know their children often play in online casinos.

Now there are still many parents who still don't understand about technology now so only the children know, where when the child is involved in gambling the parents are just silent because they don't know anything, maybe they don't know there are online casinos.
Yes, currently there are many young people who participate in the world of gambling and there are even quite a few who do it, as is the case in my environment, many young people understand about online gambling and do it in hangout places and this is something that is commonplace among the younger generation nowadays. now and most of them are unemployed and only rely on gambling as their source of income and the gambling they play is slots where the game only relies on uncertain luck.

Not all parents understand technology nowadays, some do, some don't and usually the age factor can be a particular reason, for parents who understand technology and understand online gambling, they can definitely limit their children from gambling. But for parents who don't understand technology and don't understand what online gambling is, they don't know what their children are playing so they can't prevent their children or forbid them from gambling.

1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 22, 2024, 08:33:30 AM
It is possible that it can happen, because there is luck in gambling that can make them win but of course it cannot be guessed or predicted accurately it seems impossible also with those who have some of them who think that the more they lose the possibility of getting big can be obtained,  I think that with them having thoughts like that there is no effect even in my opinion it is just a sentence of encouragement for those who like to gamble.
That can indeed happen if they are lucky,  but in my opinion, even so the chance of losing is still superior to the chance of winning and if they change games they will most likely get the same thing, namely losing,  and with luck it is also impossible to predict. or predicted well.
Luck indeed play a role in determining the outcome of a gambling session, but predicting or relying on it consistently is impossible. The notion that more losses increase the chances of a big win is a common misconception which is often fueled by the belief in a kind of "luck balance" that needs to be restored. In most games of chance, each outcome is independent, and past results do not influence future ones. The chance of losing is generally greater than the chance of winning aligns with the statistical reality of many gambling scenarios.

Responsible gambling and the inherent risks are crucial aspects of fostering a healthy approach to this form of entertainment. While luck can lead to wins, it's essential to acknowledge that outcomes are largely unpredictable, and any encouragement suggesting otherwise may be based more on optimism than on a realistic assessment of the odds. those are a reminder for people who engaged in gambling activities to approach them with a clear understanding of the uncertainties involved and to enjoy the experience responsibly.

Gamblings games likes slot depends on luck and every player need to follow some certain precautionary measures to at least avoid not being dependent on luck alone but handle their winnings or losses such that they wouldn't lose out all the money they've got in their bank roll. Luck isn't something that keeps appearing all the time, most times, the player wouldn't have any other option than to continue playing until he gets his big win. Which then leaves the gambler to continue gambling despite losing his money in the process. While luck plays a vital role in gambling, the gambler needs to take away such thoughts, once a while to at least enjoy the game of gambling. It's better he wagers smaller amount of money to maintain his money not to get bankrupt due to gambling. And hoping on luck.

The odds are not certain, yes, anything could be the outcome, but the trouble is then how people envision the game of gambling. Because on the long run the gamblers end up losing, so revolving their thoughts on winning alone, the person may not be equipped enough with strong emotions to battle with the disappointments awaiting them. One would think his got no luck for gambling. And maybe wants to prove to himself that he's got some luck left in him. That is one reason some gamblers keep gambling despite losing. There are lots of the reasons to that, some may not care about the luck thing or how much money is there for them to win or lose. They only gamble for the fun and the hidden lesson a player can learn through gambling.
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: January 22, 2024, 08:01:12 AM
Well for starters loneliness can cause so many things, I mean it's just like a popular saying in my part which implies loneliness or an idle mind is the devil workshop which to Some extend is quite true . So yesterday I was really bored and didn't exactly even know what to do so I was just trying out things that would keep my mind occupied and all of a sudden my friend told me that he is also bored that he has some pair cash that the gambling house would be a perfect place to go and atleast have some fun since the cash isn't having any significant value and that was how loneliness and boredom took to go play some game of card which if you ask can really cause someone to be addicted if not control.
And this means that in order to avoid this happening to us we need to develop a new set of hobbies, since this will take our minds away from engaging in dangerous behaviors, and what is funny about all of this is that if a person did it then not only they will alleviate their boredom, but most likely they will end their loneliness as well, as with so many interesting things you do, you will find other people that will like to share their time with you.

That's very true friend, I agree with you that in any case the first thing that must be addressed is the root of the problem, as you said and you give good advice that if we want to avoid several actions that could possibly lead to dangerous activities then Obviously the main point that must be justified is to eliminate the feeling of loneliness within oneself. I understand that some people are unemployed and don't know what they should do to avoid feeling lonely, but with the alternative of looking for a new hobby, this can be  considered, even though we are unemployed and don't have a job, but as long as we can still move, I think there's no harm in Do something else instead of locking yourself in your room where in the end there is great potential for you to think about trying your luck at gambling. In my opinion, we will not have too much difficulty taking any preventative measures if we are aware from the start and can identify the dangerous impacts of something like  gambling..

A lonely person looking out for some hobby can begin by trekking around his town and seeing new faces. It helps in building stamina and relaxes the emotions. Staying alone without doing anything, is quite a luxury, but it affects the thoughts of the person. And if the person is a gambler, he'd have a hard time controlling himself from gambling. Since, he's actually in the search for what to do, hence gambling would be the only option in the presence of no other activity. So, loneliness in most senses like what Op explained in his thread could affect the gambler's thoughts, and only the long run even if he wasn't a gambler can begin to gamble. There, his troubles may erupt, and he'd be wondering over what his new lifestyle has become.

And without any experience of gambling wouldn't want to share his trouble with people around him, I mean he's lonely nobody to talk to in the first place. That's quite a tough situation to be in as human. Not having friends around us to communicate our troubles or problems to. Speaking out the problem to someone else almost starts to solve the problem. But in a case of no help, I think the person would need to look out for a place where he'd get proper treatment. As staying indoors won't solve any problem for the person. Instead, it'll increase the trouble for the gambler to a difficult stage. Other things like heartbreak leads to loneliness and then gambling addiction. Having a companion or being a relationship can help a gambler who is lonely to escape addiction. We must not sitback at home and watch gambling addiction win the fight.
