got my miners online..
how many coins/day can i expect at Hash Rate: 445.00 H/sec?

<+MoneroBot> With 445 H/s you should get 3.53 MRO per Day
wish i had o botnet..

That is actually kinda slow and can be acheived with about 1 server. The botnets are pulling 20Kh/s

one day we will mine this with gpu?
hopefully not

for 500 dollars what would smooth david or ezih buy  (other than investing, as investing is beyond most normal human beings, let alon investing in cryptocurrencies.)

At the $500 price point you are likely talking about one computer.

That being the case, I would buy a computer you could use for other things. Then you get the mining gear for free, and no one can compete with that.

If it were specifically for mining you want to maximize your mining power for the absolute minimum cost, which means you want a decent CPU but not a  high end extreme model. I would build my open rig (don't waste money on a case) get a very basic motherboard, ideally with integrated video (again don't waste money on a video card) and minimal RAM. Run linux on it.

Also, take a look at whether you can get more output with two $250 systems (lower end CPU) instead of one $500. I'm not sure. Once we have a good performance chart it will be easier to figure this out.

If you want to spend more and go bigger then, at some point, you need to deal with hosting issues and are better of with rack mounted servers, possibly blades. I think they have a bit of a price premium though. For a while stick with cheap open rigs.

VPS may make sense short term but if you are in this for the long term buying hardware (efficiently) is quite a bit cheaper than VPS, even if you end up having to rent space for your farm. This likely requires good skills in getting back value out of reselling used gear when you upgrade.

In summary mining is all about cost efficiency above all else. If you were around at all during the big GPU mining phase of bitcoin and altcoins then it is really the same principles, except with the GPU. You can look around at how people save money by not spending it on inessential components (cases, etc.), finding promotional deals, etc.

as always insightful.
thank you. this might help new comers as well. imagine, people buying 500 dollar computers to run their wallet and daemon. liek buying a phone. a necessity for modern money use.
a phone could carry the wallet info and can be used a card. you use the camera to capture the destination address, and an app captures money to be sent and your home computer handles the rest. I think i am just rambling. but I feel there is an idea there. i just know it.

how about kash or qash

Good i think, just that the domains are already in use, so you will have to make bid to current owner.

i dont understand that part.
for example, could the domain not be
kash-cryptocurrency.com
kash-currency.com
or .org for that matter.

thanks

Ripple is great, so is splash. but these terms are very broad. ripple had deep pockets already to buy-out domain and handle marketing.

here is my idea

Neutral, short (2 syllables) unique- reflects cash properties as well reference to underlying algo.

Google: About 20 results

It's a good idea, but Keccak isn't pronounced that way. This would be pretty embarrassing.

I think not so embarrassing, some say gif, some say jif. Imagine majority of people would say as written, but you can say ketchash or take the first part 'ke' then 'cash' by removing c.

how about kash or qash

I see someone is mining alternative chain, bad idea because today i'll release checkpoints.
Or may be it happend because seed nodes was offline some time.

how can you tell someone is mining alternative chain.
i am worried that this is the case for me.

thank you for his.
my idea, there is core development of the software for which we have many hero members.
1. monero development i.e new aspect implementation
2. interface development. miners and wallets
3. marketing

There is the hardware aspect as well. hero members input on what they would chose if they had such and such money to spend.
for example, i do not know what aws/azure are or is. this is beyond my scope. and as i read some of the posts it reminds me of my insecurities regarding the tech. barriers for entry for non crypto currencies aficionados. There is obvious curiosity.

for 500 dollars what would smooth david or ezih buy  (other than investing, as investing is beyond most normal human beings, let alon investing in cryptocurrencies.)

for 1000 dollars what would they buy. things like this. trust is hard to come buy especially when we use handles. but trust can be percieved through conversation, and the above mentioned and others have earned it from me.

thanks.

Just a couple of points, just because somebody is a hero member here all it means is they have been registered on the forum for a while it doesn't automatically make them know more, hero accounts are also sold on the forum as well so a 13 y/o newbie could be behind a hero account but anyway thats not got much to do with MRO.

AWS and Azure are both cloud computing power operators where you can pay for a machine that you can access from your own PC but the hardware is at Amazon or Microsoft. Read - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Azure

You would have to ask them yourself but Im sure they would give different answers. My personal answer would be not to spend $500 on a machine and hope to ROI you would much likely be better buying MRO as by the time you make $500 or $1000 worth just to pay back your equipment the price could be anywhere.

ha...
you have quickly identified my ignorance. i thought hero member was someone that was trusted by the community and gave of themselves not because of compensation. i did not know that it was a bought account.
my apologies.

i am asking from the perspective of a computer buyer. alas, this is likely impossible to do. thank you again.

in spirit of cooperation;

I see many posts: how many coins with such and such hashing power. How much hashing am i expected to get with such and such cpu.

Could we see a post. monero hashing build. most hasing for under under 500 dollars, 1000 dollars, and 2 thousand dollars.
seems some people may convert some of their earning into machins and improve their hashing performance.
i see this as a good thing as it secures the network. pulls hashing away from those already domminant in the field.

can we do this in a windows and ubuntu estimations. as such this will allow new investors to start mining. the reason I say this i have some friends that are in the market for upgrading computers and I was asked this question and I can not answer it.

thank you for those that will take this post seriously.

Its a cpu only coin, there's not really $1000 or $2000 spec machines, its simply how many cpu's you can get your hands on.

Granted it would possibly be useful to produce a list of CPU's and their expected hashing power on either OS so that you could choose which CPU's to buy to mine this coin but at this stage I would be very surprised to see people building $2000 set ups to mine MRO, you may as well use AWS/Azure and the like.

The other issue is that the miners are being constantly updated and there is also more than one miner so you can see how this starts to become a lot of work to put together. Thats also besides the fact that you can't trust just one person saying they are getting x speed without some proof so again it becomes a huge task.

Hope this helps.

What is the difference between monero and bytecoin? Is monero just a fork of bytecoin?

This has been answered many times before in this thread.

Then why so important information hasn't been added to the first post so far?

Also, please give link or tell briefly about it.

Reading first post of monero and we page bytecoin.org one can elucidate the difference between the two in seconds

I feel all the recent influx of BCN clones are just all cut and paste jobs from the same person to cash in on the anon buzz lately as they have all popped up recently.

So !!!

Don't get me wrong, I love the concept behind them and makes interesting reading seeing how it actually works under the hood.
well
with a little thought and minimal research, it is evident that that is not the case.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - Anonymous Currency Based on Ring Signatures on: May 24, 2014, 03:13:01 AM
how can you say that bytecoin.org used it before. you were not even part of that conversation at the very beginning and that when all the cicada 3301 conspiracy was flying around. your credibility is in question.

I'll accept being wrong about BCN as I was going purely from memory, but I'd advise not making accusations against someone who isn't picking a fight nor has any reason to lie. I was very much a part of the conversations, and I have no need to prove anything to you.

but people come here for information. you were speaking with authority. with the fud going on with dark, it is important to speak factually as some rely on it for information
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - Anonymous Currency Based on Ring Signatures on: May 24, 2014, 01:53:12 AM
Can someone with sufficient and unbaised knowledge please explain to me why MRO is only listed on a few small exchanges and why it has basically flatlined while darkcoin has gone through the roof?

What is it that has made darkcoin so much more attractive than MRO?

darkcoin is much better for you and you should go to that thread and stay there. you will be better educated about the benefits of dark coin over there.

^Unicorns approaching... If you are a student with access to those scientific publications payed by the university, you'll be happy to sell them for 0.005 BTC - pure profit. This web site probably was made 1-2-3 months ago or maybe yesterday?

Sigh. Why is the level of critical thinking so low in this space. If someone has an incentive to do something (say pump a coin), you can't logically believe that anything they say is actually legitimate without some kind of evidence. Talk is cheap.

Absent evidence I would assume the site didn't exist before it was posted here.

(Not directed at you equipoise, I know you agree with me.)

I find it funny that "BCN" is used, even though that's a name bitcointalk came up with 2 months ago for this 2 year old currency. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. Wink

BCN was used on bytecoin.org before the bitcointalk thread was ever created. I was aware of bytecoin before DStrange announced it and I'm pretty sure the abbreviation existed.

this is most definitely not true. dstrange started the abbreviation bcn. bytecoin changed it so that it would be differentiated from bytecoin bitcoin clone.

how can you say that bytecoin.org used it before. you were not even part of that conversation at the very beginning and that when all the cicada 3301 conspiracy was flying around. your credibility is in question.

how many coins per block currently and block time with a hexacore bulldozer?

Considering wallet mining

16.74 coins per block. But solo mining is useless in my opinion, if you only have one CPU that is.

please consider the aim and temperment of the person mining

i have one machine pentium duel core old 3 yeras old. I started mining 3 weeks ago and found a block on this. the satisfaction was tremendous. every day i had nothing but on the the 23 day, wam bam thank you mam.
wow. 16.xx coins. that was a great feeling. I have mined on some pools for 24-36 hours. the most i have gotten was .14 coins.
if i extrapolate to 23 days. that only a little over 3 coins in same amount of time.

personally, i think solo mining is a lot better for now.

what is the best method of converting bitcoin to usd.

I see that there are methods to buy bitcoin. but the methods to convert bitcoin to usd are wire transfer and that costs too much money.

I dont own any bitcoin and would like to buy some mro. hate all these conversion stuff. thanks.

Coinbase.com is the easiest, quickest, safest method for noobs. All you need is a checking account and a credit card and you could probably buy up to $1000 instantly today.

thank you. and it is easy to convert back to cash with coinbase from your experience?

if you happen to mine booberry and monero on same machine, your hash rate on monero will be cut in half.
4 cores mining monero only 110 and 4 cores idle
4 cores minining monero  63  and 4 cores mining boolberry.

just to let you know.
