1061  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 12, 2024, 02:58:34 PM
We are still far away from those days as for government to consider paying their employees salary in Bitcoin or any other crypto currency they need adoption and I know there are lot of crypto users but not enough for government to take this step and even if government decides to pay who will be held responsible if the price dumps? there are certain challenges due to which we cannot expect payment through Bitcoin.

The most important thing is the fact that very few countries have crypto friendly policy and rest are not in good terms with crypto .
1062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term Trading Altcoins and Meme Coins? on: January 11, 2024, 06:36:20 PM
Op Actually it depends on how much you are ready to gain and how high you are ready to take risk. Both things are interrelated to each other. It's true that profit could be huge but are you ready to lose $1000? Maybe you are but not everyone is gonna ready to lose as $1000 is still a big amount for many people even me too. Otherwise there's no restrictions for them who would like to take risk and play with those shitcoins. Your last question answer is same, 5 memeocin wouldn't scam together but wouldn't pump together also. You may profit or may loose but yeah, there is good possibility to making short term profit from those during bull run. apart from that, for uniswap, you need ether for each transaction and for pancakeswap, they required bnb for each transaction. No matter how big the exchanging amount is but fee is same. Yeah you can exchange anything with other token or you can have usdt dai  usdc but for that , those dex required eth or bnb. That's why cex is better for many reasons

I still believe there winning ratio with memecoin is very thin as you said all the 5 meme coin cannot scam together but there are projects which have not scammed people but simply failed so I believe all 5 meme coin can fail together leaving you with nothing hence I would say we cannot experiment with memecoin and it should hardly by under 10% of our portfolio if we want to take chances.
1063  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term corrections could be detrimental. on: January 11, 2024, 06:04:26 PM
I am very certain about the bullish market season after the halving, and as such my advice to any true crypto/BTC investor who may become millionaires in the next 12-18 months, would be to hold tight and not let any short term corrections stop them or put them out of the market until the duration of their holdings is complete.

What are your thoughts?

Only short term investors are waiting for this approval so that they can take their profit when bitcoin price moves up as a result of the news. Long term holders are still waiting for the real bull run to come before they will sell and not the news hype that will make the market rise for short term and still goes back to its normal trend level. Long term holders knows what’s ahead and they’re prepared for it and not carried away by the approval of the spot bitcoin ETF.

This is indeed a great opportunity for short term investors to take quick profit but as there was so much of hype about ETF approval and finally it has happened so there would be equal amount of FOMO as well which will stop some of them from selling out because of upcoming halving as sometimes price can fluctuate so quickly that we will not be able to catch up with the price and end up regretting like I did when I sold SOL around $25. Smart investors can quickly sell around $48K and try buying back at a lesser amount.

But, yeah the long term investors won't bother about this.
1064  Other / Politics & Society / Crypto & Older Generation on: January 11, 2024, 05:39:47 PM
We have often seen youngsters are more open towards crypto and adapting it wherein the older generation like the ones who are in their 40s and above are reluctant towards crypto and often term it as bubble or scam though they know that it's not a scam. Is it out of jealousy that they couldn't onboard into crypto at the right time hence bad mouthing it or else just that they are not ready to accept something knew as kids are becoming millionaire with crypto which was never case with any other asset hence this looks too good to be true for them.

Note: I am not saying everyone above 40 years are reluctant but it's just my experience and it might be related to certain geographical location or certain set of people. I am not generalizing it but share my experience.
1065  Local / India / Re: Apple removes Binance, OKX and Kucoin from App Store in India. on: January 11, 2024, 04:30:34 PM
As of now it hasn't affected the Android users but removal is these exchanges from App store is enough to send a fear wave. This leaves a possibility of removal from play store as well and Android users will be affected if this happens.

But I think some sort of agreement will be reached between the government and these exchanges because Indians will be in difficult situation as they would miss out on possible bull run if this is not sorted.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to research a quiet crypto company? on: January 11, 2024, 01:35:58 PM
I have just read the entire thread and without dragging it any further I would suggest you to let this go take a pause and probably find an alternative and help others unlike your creepy roomie. This does smells like an scam and moreover the secretive nature of your roomie is further complicating things. Better to stay away from such projects because most of the scam projects starts the same way s they don't scam people rather they shed some money to gain more traction. Just get rid off this.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look out for a good Altcoin and buy now! on: January 11, 2024, 03:41:50 AM
Since Bitcoin ETFs have been approved the next big thing would be Ethereum ETF. The chances of it getting approved are high now and that is the reason it has been pumping after the news. It has already pumped more the 9% and the best bet in the current market is to invest in risk-free Ethereum. I have not seen any major push in the price of Bitcoin as anticipated earlier after the approval by the SEC. But, all major altcoins are doing very well today and most of them are pumping hard.

We still have time to invest into Bitcoin as price may increase even further but for larger margin as you said ETH would be better because approval of Bitcoin's ETF has opened the possibility of ETH ETF approval as well and afterall we can invest into ETH as it's the most reliable crypto after Bitcoin. But I would say people should use illogical thoughts like investing into random altcoins mad altcoins which are under $1 like they do around bull run.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I believe this might be the Binance's new bitcoin - maybe a 1000$ per token on: January 10, 2024, 07:33:46 PM
I know this is an marketing of the project but it's been a while since we have stopped buying the point about burning of tokens and we have seen this strategy by scammers lately hence it's better we stay away from tokens. This is just a campaign to create some sort of urgency and create FOMO which will fail for sure.
1069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are not Scums.... Learning is a Process and it's progressive. on: January 10, 2024, 07:05:05 PM
OP you have to know that the "newbie" you talk about is just a rank and nothing more. Not letting what people say about you on the Forum get to you is the only way to get past it. If you have questions ask and you'd have your answer. Nobody is perfect in the Forum we are all here to learn and also pass on information to other members who knows nothing about it, what you're passing through every other person went through the same thing before getting to where they are now so don't feel intimidated but don't ask questions that you know the answers to, that's what makes some newbies look stupid.

I agree with what you hav said and even I have been through those embarassing situation where we were made made of, criticized while getting out doubts clarified.

But, it's all about shaping the user behaviour here and treating the newbie with same amount of respect which a Hero or Legendary member can get, because it the way how the message is put across and often it has been rude.
1070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph has the worst price analysis articles on: January 10, 2024, 07:00:24 PM
There is nothing call proper price analysis and everyone just shares their opinion without even having a second though about those who would be following their analysing and ending up losing their money.

It has become a content for bloggers and YouTuber to get users to go through their article or video using relevant keywords and clickbait, I don't think we can trust anyone when it comes to analysis as none are perfect or even good.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things in Binance Under New CEO - What are your thoughts? on: January 10, 2024, 06:39:24 PM
There has not been any huge difference except back to back listing of coins, CZ was more proactive and it would be too early to conclude on Richard Tang but right now there would be more pressure of centralized exchanges as we have seen regulators tightening their noose around CEX, Apple app store removing Binance from Indian market and how Richard Teng deals with this would define his credibility.
1072  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Things you see in the society on: January 10, 2024, 05:46:13 PM
Yes we have different people with different religion and different opinion this is how it looks when we see from outside but if you drill down its divided at every stage. You will be known as Muslim, Christian, Hindu or any other religion only when you are amongst other community but within community you will be identified with the sect, sub sect of the religion. Society is divided where everyone wants power and younger generation thinks that older generation as liabilities and older generation thinks younger generation are misguided and spoilt. Unless we keep our opinion to ourself and stop judging people it would continue to be a messed up society.
1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heading into 2024 crypto year: what are your hopes and fears? on: January 10, 2024, 04:02:20 PM
I would share a very Uber level information when it comes to my hopes and fear.

Hopes:
Pretty obvious that I am hoping for a better year than 2023 or atleast the same as 2023 because 2023 had been a good year we have seen Bitcoin pump and Altcoins have rallied as well. I am hoping this year don't have any corrections phase or even if we have then I wish to be prepared for it. More crypto adoption would be great.

Fears:
There is a slight fear that centralized exchanges will be targeted more often and made to act as per regulators and we have already seen how exchanges were targetted and there are news about Apple app store removing major CEX from their Indian market due to non compliance with Indian anti money laundering law.
1074  Local / India / Re: Apple removes Binance, OKX and Kucoin from App Store in India. on: January 10, 2024, 02:58:53 PM
I don't trust moneycontrol but I have seen this in numerous news articles that these exchanges has been removed due to non compliance in accordance with India's money laundering law. This is a concern to be honest because what if same is followed by Google Play store and if they start targeting all the international exchange. But it's too early to arrive at any conclusion let's wait for sometime and see how this evolves.
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold than trade. Just don't use leverage, futures. on: January 10, 2024, 01:35:04 PM
I would say leverage and future trading is not for everyone as you can lose it all at a blink but we shouldn't underestimate the profits as well. I would term it as a gamble or mix of gamble, strategy and luck. I would urge people to refrain from future trading with leverages unless they are an expert into it. It's scary to see how people have lost and liquidation numbers on both long and short, has it been some other altcoins we could have considered it as business as usual but not with Bitcoin.

Better for newbie or someone with not so much experience to avoid leverage.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Confessions on: January 10, 2024, 04:38:45 AM
Yes even though we don't openly share about the profits and losses or the kind of roller coaster ride it has been but after reading through this it's clear that most of us had similar circumstances I can relate the stories with my own.

Ideally the take away from this should be that we need to believe in Crypto and avoid the common mistakes we have been doing all these year and also shouldn't get carried out by just one person's story.
1077  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the world soon become tired of the US dollar? on: January 10, 2024, 02:24:11 AM
I dont think countries will dump USD at this moment as there is a long way to go because everything is connected to dollars be it international trade or investment. First BRICS has to create a common currency and use it for trade and eventually spread it to other South Asian nations and Balkan nations which will take ages and by that time there might be some disagreement because already there are conflicts within BRICS nations like India and Chine or Iran and Saudi as they are already at loggerheads hence I don't think BRICS will pose any danger to dollars.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana (SOL) Where will it end? $80 21th DEC 23 on: January 09, 2024, 06:21:20 PM
Today on Coin Marketcap I saw the price of Solna Token is $94.66. It has already crossed $80 and may soon touch above $100. We have seen positive changes for this coin. The price of Solana Coin is currently very hyped so it seems risky for me to invest in this coin now. I saw this coin a few months ago at maybe under $50 and since then the coin has gone up a lot. Cryptocurrency market is slowly changing as well as the price of this coin is increasing. We can expect this coin to cross $150 in the future.

Solana has even reached $100. I remember I bought few I used for airdrop few weeks ago around $120. The token just experience a dip in few days which make it go back below $100. To me, I still see some potentials in the token. I believe it will still do more in the upcoming bull run.

Yup you it it right as we had seen a slight dip in SOL but now it has regained it's movementum has crossed $100 once again and currently trading just above $100. I made a mistake of not buying it due to delusional thought that I might be buying due to FOMO but ending up with a regret. I think now it has possibility of reaching new ATH if there is no correction.
1079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Has US regime ever officially announced NOT being behind a terrorist attack? on: January 09, 2024, 06:04:12 PM
You name it they are behind it and ISIS and Taliban are created by US and we could consider Taliban as an example how they support Taliban and Afghani Mujahideen against Russia and let's not forget Saddam Hussein he was brought to power by US support and once he had fallen out of favour with them they discarded him in the name of weapon of mass destruction which is yet to be found.

All these terrorist groups are created for two purpose one being useful during millitary coup (they have infiltrated ranks of army as well) like we have seen the coup in Egypt where they doscard Morsi, secondly to sell their weapons.

1080  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 09, 2024, 05:06:59 PM
This is not exclusive to crypto as this happens everywhere when the people who gained the wealth but lacks the way to preserve it or have no knowledge of financial planning. We have often seen those who becomes millionaire through the reality show if you check on them couple of years later they would have lost everything and this was once said by Bill Gates where he defined wealth is not defined as well filled bank account rather ability to create wealth from wealth.
