1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: June 20, 2023, 02:36:23 PM
If you are trying to teach someone about Bitcoin and they show no sign of interest, what are the forceful route that anyone can take after getting turned down? And this us something that's even risky and uncertain, who dares force anyone to buy Bitcoin? This is a big fat lie OP, keep fooling people with your useless claim because I have tried to prove why Bitcoin is better for a few people before and they turned me down, I never try to talk about it ever again, do you think it's cool to get turned down when you are trying to change the lives of many people?

It's not a do or die, it's easier to avoid telling people about Bitcoin than forcing them, your claim is false, even those that want to learn about Bitcoin are still showing the sign of fear, imagine forcing them to put money into something they don't understand? They will only proceed if they feel like, there is no force and no do or die.
1062  Economy / Economics / Re: Lucky you do not sell to blackrock on: June 19, 2023, 05:34:44 PM
The micro strategy should have done the same thing if the reason they are buying Bitcoin was to dump back into the market, big companies that are accumulating Bitcoin are doing it for the long term, not because of the upcoming g bull market that many investors are waiting for, to dump their bags, these are longer time players, so is Black Rock and others that are on par in the same level.

It seems this is the beginning of Bitcoin adoption from Black Rock, maybe fast forward in the future, they will hold some percentage of the entire Bitcoin supply just like MicroStrategy.

Nevertheless, do not expect instant Bitcoin pumps, there is still a possibility that Bitcoin will lose to Bears and we go down in the short term, since the bulls have already lost control, 200MA is gone, and now there is only one way down unless there is a major event which reclaims that territory.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 19, 2023, 04:06:14 PM
Everyone wants ro teach their kids about Bitcoin and like you said, it's a good thing but how many people have you seen that are bothering their children to learn Bitcoin? This is something you need to witness before you can start advising people against it, so im going go to ask you, how many people have you caught in this act?

I guess nobody, because they are children and no one will keep bothering them to learn about Bitcoin, all what parents can do for their kids is to let them know about Bitcoin, it's not important for children to do everything Bitcoin, that's even like a crime.

Teaching kids about money is very closer to teaching them about Bitcoin, because today we have more than Fiat currencies, we have digital currencies too so yeah it's all about educational purposes and it's normal.

1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 19, 2023, 12:31:54 PM
Since when is stock investment better than crypto investment? I will advice you to stay with cryptic because stock investment is a longer longer term investment, it's not like crypto that every four years you get the best smile with your bag, with stock you have to pray that the company stock performs better and even if they do, the return of investment is not comparable to that of crypto, you will always make the best ROI from crypto vs stock.

1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 18, 2023, 10:04:46 AM
If you get tired of holding Bitcoin it's because someone who told you about Bitcoin lied to you about getting rich with Bitcoin, they probably told you that Bitcoin is risk free and you don't have to hold for years, whereas it's the opposite.

I will never get tired of holding Bitcoin because I am not new to Bitcoin, I once sold too early because I was tired of holding Bitcoin, but now I am differently approaching Bitcoin investment, I have a bag for profits taking purpose in the next bull market and I have a separate bag for long term holding, retirement fund.
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges on: June 17, 2023, 07:14:24 PM
SEC right now is hunting every exchanges in the US
Not anymore, Binance US is back to work and SEC have come into an agreement with Binance so SEC hunting is on pause right now, I think every other crypto exchange should do the same with Binance so that they can be able to run their exchanges will no issue.

Not having a part of every dime swimming in and out of crypto must be why SEC and those behind the SEC are making so much noise, the only way to shut them the hell up is by paying some money, I knew this is the case, I mean, what kind of agreement would it be if money is not involved?
1067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Lender Abra Has Been Insolvent for Months on: June 17, 2023, 02:01:47 PM
Abra wallet you mean?I've never like such a wallet and if you are familiar with open-source wallets you should know that Abra is not one of them, the closest to an open-source wallet that I can use is Trust wallet, I know it's not open source but it's better than other closed source wallets, should have been a better option over this Abra wallet too.

I also do not like crypto wallets that gives returns on your assets when you hold using their wallet it makes no sense because it just doesn't, they are doing this to attract users I get but you will never see an open source wallet giving up money to users using their crypto wallet.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 17, 2023, 01:21:32 PM
Then I must be one of the most lucky people in this world, because I never had any money when I knew about crypto and I was never an investor because I had no money, yet I made money out of crypto with zero investment, I was able to start investing today because of my past, maybe not everything is about money money money?

I made some cool amount of money from airdrops and I was very luck at the time, because by 2019, airdrop took an unexpected turn, no newer project at the time took airdrops seriously anymore, I would just considered myself a lucky fella with crypto.

Truth be told, you can't manage money without knowledge, and knowledge without money doesn't make sense either but money is a tool, at the same time, knowledge and money without power is meaningless.

I will like to end my point with, we can't have it all, God gives us love, and that's why we keep friends and family, so that many peoples journey can become easier in life, a friend might have money while another have the knowledge if they come together as one, the mission is accomplished.
1069  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Free electricity, just the equipment left. on: June 17, 2023, 10:47:23 AM
I live in a federal school environment, and as a result, we have free-constant electrical supply, which I was expecting to put to good use by mining bitcoin with.
Having good electricity is just one of the hurdles to mining. With Free electricity you will be able to achieve a lot, you have already skipped one hurdle, but there are other factors you need to consider and prepare for because there are always obstacles. School environments can have bad boys, your equipment can be stolen if you do not try to make sure that they are safe after purchasing them. Do not tell people that you are mining Bitcoins, do everything in secret.
The problem is even more than OP pictured, if you are getting money through mining and you are in the midst of boys, they will want to know, if they find out what you are running 24/7 they will hate and this will even make the dream of you leaving the premises happens faster.

You will be busted in no time, I was not even talking about this before, I was focusing on the electricity bill, and Bananington, there is nothing like free electricity, he is prepared to steal the electricity that someone is paying for, I am curious if OP knows the type of grid meter that's been used in the school.

If it's the old school meter it's better, because there is no measurement on the electricity consumption, only bills monthly, but if it's the new digital like the meter that people use today in different countries there will be problems fast, because they are loading money on the meter using the meter recharge card, once the loaded amount that was supposed to be managed within a month or two finished in 2 weeks, there must be some explanation.

The problem and unrest will start from there.
1070  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NEED MINING STORIES FOR BITCOIN BOOK on: June 16, 2023, 06:14:14 PM
The most interesting side of Bitcoin mining as a story is already over, there was a time where I can use a Pentium 4 PC to mine 10 BTC per day? That type of story? What are the readers going to gain with the story? Go back in time to mine their Bitcoin and come back to the present?

Those who are smart among the readers would probably ask what's next to get into that early. And what they can find next are a bunch of crappy shit proof of work coins in the space.

This story won't have any impact or effect on the readers than 'we already missed the boat', so this is not needy.

If I have the skills of a writer, I would have love to write about how many times Bitcoin have died in the past and keeps coming back to life, I would write about how the world really needs decentralization and how Bitcoin have opened that door.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New investigation on Satoshi Nakamoto & the Origins of Bitcoin on: June 16, 2023, 05:48:04 PM
Upon all the numbers of projects running on the blockchain today that have team members and the world knows who they are, which one is really decentralized as Bitcoin? Do you know the kind of forces that are ruling this centralized force? Bitcoin worked and it's the only decentralized currency that comes to the rescue, nothing comes this close, so I don't care who Satoshi Nakamoto really is, what he created is a real success against centralized authorities, I appreciate him, case closed.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is legalized, a dream of mine would come true on: June 16, 2023, 03:31:10 PM
This should not stop you from investing in Bitcoin, just learn to keep your mouth shut and hold your recovery seed.

About accepting Bitcoin in your business, that's not possible for now, and this should not stop you to start a business right now and start accepting Fiat, save some Fiat money, and start using some part of the money to buy Bitcoin.

Accepting Bitcoin as means of payment helps Bitcoin to go viral but running a business is all about your daily profits and gains, so don't let the ban of Bitcoin stop your motive to start your business.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Way to Introduce Bitcoin to Relatives, Spouse or Family on: June 16, 2023, 02:58:15 PM
Due to the volatility of Bitcoin, I would never introduce it to my near and dear ones. People only respond to Bitcoin and are eager to get it when it creates a history (I meant All Time High). I believe that is the right time to talk about it otherwise we would only get negative response in the present situation. Everything is working out good for now and I believe Bitcoin would scale 10 notches up in adoption by next year. Patience and positive approach are the reason we are scaling up.
I can see that you prefer to refer your friends and families into Bitcoin when the price is surging high, what you are trying to do is even more dangerous for your loved ones because you are simply telling them to FOMO in when they should have gotten into Bitcoin when it was still very cheap.

I get it, you don't what to see them losing their money, but this is Bitcoin, not altcoins, they lose money with Bitcoin when they sell their Bitcoin, maybe you should accept that you don't know the proper way to introduce Bitcoin to your loved ones and people on here will teach you how.

I have introduced my families into Bitcoin, it's easier for me to introduce Bitcoin to them as a digital gold and a good store of value, only if they can HODL for a long term, it's not a get rich quick investment, tell them this and they will think twice.

Not everyone of them will be up for this, but few ones will, all they need to do is invest money they can keep somewhere and take their minds and eye from for years, this is Bitcoin.

You choose the HIGHS and I choose the LOWs, I will never let any of my friends or families to invest in Bitcoin at a high price.
1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: June 15, 2023, 06:59:29 PM
The 2015 crypto market performance is different from the 2021 market performance, I believe we shouldn't judge the future with the past, anything can still happen, today is certain but not tomorrow, many people lost their lives to Covid 19, they never knew that 2020 would be their last.

As Bitcoin is the best one in this space, I will still recommend risking what you can only afford to lose, and also try to lower your expectations, because if Bitcoin loses strength in the future you can easily give up because you expected way too much.
1075  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 15, 2023, 04:01:21 PM
For now I think electrum and others open source wallets are  a pretty safe bet, just don't go click in any automatic updates popups.
Rank does not matter when it comes to sharing knowledge, newbie I will like to ask you and also others reading this question of mine, is it possible for scammers to push an update automatically to your existing crypto wallet? Automatic updates are supposed to come from the already apps or software you've installed and already using.

But maybe it's possible, that's why I am asking, because this days, as an Android wallet user I always get automatic update message for my apps and crypto wallets, just want to know if this is wrong.
1076  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Free electricity, just the equipment left. on: June 15, 2023, 02:55:05 PM
I know you are not going to like what I am about ti say, but it's the truth, you live in a federal school environment, and you believe that no one is paying for the electricity that you believe to be free?

If you go out and buy an Asic miner because of this, remember that this move can lead to you evacuating from the premises, because you are doing nothing but stealing the electricity, there is no such thing as free electricity, someone, somewhere is paying the bills.

Once you begin this plan, there will come a time where they will notice, because the electricity bill will be higher, you don't know how much they are paying I believe, since you think the electricity is free, that's what will make you lose guard.

1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A portion of my clothing store's weekly profit is invested in Bitcoin on: June 15, 2023, 02:14:58 PM
It's a good plan if you can afford it, there are two types of investors in Bitcoin, those who are ready for any possible results and those who invest what they can't afford to lose, I hope you invest what you can afford to lose? I understand that this money comes from your business but are you ready to see the value goes down before it starts going up again? This is what many investors are not ready to see and they called themselves investors, since Bitcoin is not a stable digital currency, this can't be avoided.
1078  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: June 14, 2023, 06:04:38 PM
Half of the rich people keep continue to swim in fame and wealth because of their occupied landed properties. If you own a land, housing estate you can be sure living great but this wealth are mostly control by political leaders and BD individuals......if you're blessed enough begins to occupy property's that can sure your next generation... In my country Nigeria if you don't have any of this properties forget yourself, you will end up making life mortgage and tenancy. Land never depreciates it keeps buying higher that's why I considered it the best investment. What do you think?
So anyone that doesn't have some land secured are going to end up in poverty you mean? This is just one of the ways to be set for life, there are many you don't know it seems, and also not all those who bought lands at a early stage of their lives end up getting rich, some died before their time and some lose their lives because of this so called lands, in Nigeria, there are many lands problems that have taken the lives of many people.

At the end of the day, you don't always know what's waiting for you at the end of your journey, not everyone will have a great life because there are fortunate to buy some properties sooner, it's not by our grace but by God's grace.

Some people focused so much on this idea because their parents keep telling them to buy lands and in the end, things don't end up as planned, it's like someone who was fated to use all his life to serve God as a paster or a prophet of God and he only cares about land business.
1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 14, 2023, 05:05:36 PM
I understand many have said many ways. If I give my wife some idea about Bitcoin history first. I will warn about it as it is illegal in our country. I will explain him well. I will make a deal with my wife, when I sell bitcoins, I will give half to my wife.
If it's illegal in your country then you don't know what you are doing, you are behaving like someone who is very stupid, pardon me for saying this, but it's true, you claimed you lover her and you want to gift her something that's illegal? Imagine gifting her gbe Bitcoin in front of the audience on you wedding day, don't you know that not all those who come to your wedding will wish you well? Some are your enemies in disguise, they might see this as an opportunity to deal with you and your wife.

If it's illegal then stay away from Bitcoin for now, or if you can be very careful, you can still hold Bitcoin without letting anyone knows.

If I were you I won't even let my wife know anything about Bitcoin for now becauSE it's illegal in the country, there is a chance that it will leak out, you should know what I meant if you are very familiar with women, they have lose mouths most times.

Is it a risk worth taking? It's better to find another gift to give to her, it's for your own good and your future life with your wife.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We the Bitcoin Enthusiasts, How can we Safequard our Holdings in Turbulent Times on: June 14, 2023, 04:01:51 PM
There's no doubt that the old warning has been repeated on this forum over and over again, get a hardware wallet like Trezor because they're more secure than closed source wallets, but if you don't have the money, electrum wallet is still open source and highly secure. In order to maintain your Bitcoins, you must keep your recovery seed very safe once you have purchased either of these open-source wallets. Your recovery seed is the only thing that keeps them from being stolen.
