Tottenham vs Liverpool, I am not sure why bookies are thinking Liverpool is going to struggle. The odd for Liverpool is 23/20.

Will we see another match like Castle vs Liverpool?
Maybe cause they very well would struggle. Tottenham are very tough opponents to play against for any team in the league and they are playing at home so Liverpool does not have the advantage of the Anfield noise to spur them on. This is also Liverpool's first real test of the season, so we get to see if they can perform under that pressure.
Tottenham has already played against 2 of the 4 teams that qualified for the UEFA champions league last season and are yet to lose a game. Although we can all agree that United are still struggling to find their feet.

That match can swing either way.

I can imagine that one of the main reasons this feature was put in place to allow printing of all the pages in a thread easily without having to go page by page.

I have never used it since I registered on the forum, but maybe other members have used it to read through very interesting threads.

The freezing of assets is an unfortunate feature of such tokens that will hopefully never be used against ordinary and innocent individuals on the orders of government institutions and those in power.
Hopefully that never happens, but power is known to be abused many of the times.
And we have many corrupt governments around the world who will use any power they have against the ordinary individuals.

DAI is a much better option to the rest of the stable coins or worse, the CBDCs.

1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How important is the witness data? on: September 29, 2023, 08:12:04 PM
In segwit, witness data is not excluded. Segwit stands for Segregated Witness, which by definition means that the witness data is segregated into parts.

A legacy address which has no witness data weighs more cause the non witness data takes up 4 times the amount of weight units that witness data takes up per byte.

Barcelona playing on Friday night for the first time in a very long time and the score is 0 - 0 despite some big chances from both sides, with Ocampos missing for Sevilla and Fermin as well as Felix missing for Barcelona.

Raphina also got added to the growing injury list which already has Frankie, Pedri and Victor Roque. This will force more game on the remaining fit members of the squad and force the youngsters to fill big boots consistently.

They are all centralized, they are all closed-source, and the issuers can freeze the stablecoin tokens in your address with the right request/paperwork from law enforcement...
And the holders do not care a bit cause many of them do not even believe in actual decentralization. It is either they do not trust themselves to safely hold the tokens or they appreciate what they believe to be extra security when the developers freeze stolen coins, when the question should be why all the breaches are happening in the first place.

Some say he's an Idiot but something he says sometimes makes sense. LOL. What do you think about it? Is it some way to manipulate people or that's the right thing to do?
I do not care for much for politics and try not to get involved in it, but I will not call him (Donald. J. Trump) an idiot at all, and the statement actually made lots of sense. It is no way to manipulate people and many popular figures many times in the past have made similar statements with different words, so it is not entirely an original thought.

1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: September 29, 2023, 06:13:09 PM
Growing up into a man I got used to gambling believing it will change my current financial status, which I was wrong, it was quite the opposite, not that am not seeing money, I was but I was too fix in making it through it.

When I finally quit the addiction, I realized that I was doing better than I even thought,
The bolded part is why people encounter issues while gambling. Not only is it wrong to see it as a way to change your financial status, you got fixed in it, which shows there was an element of addiction into it.

Your topic title should have been Addiction to gambling and its effects, which is a topic that is talked about here many a times.

One one thing I have noticed about gambling is that before you win a thousand box, they might have milk you of more than that.
[I just want to use this medium to appeal to the younger generation, please stay off gambling, if you must do so, gamble responsible, don't take it as your only source of living so it wouldn't milk you dry.
Definitely everyone should gamble responsibly and if you do not have the self control to do so, avoid it entirely.

1069  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The effect of bitcoin halving on bitcoin mining. on: September 29, 2023, 07:42:51 AM
As the halving will increase profit in investment for hodlers, it will reduce the reward for mining for miners to half.
If the event increases the profit of holders then the value of the halved mining reward will also increase.

For comparison, miners earn 6.25BTC which is about $170,000 with the current bitcoin price of $27,000.
The halving will drop the reward down to 3.125BTC but if there is an increase in the market value of bitcoin to 3× (which is a conservative amount), the value of the mining reward then will be $255,000, which is significantly higher than the current value. The downside is that the bull run does not come with the halving but several months or a year after.

I imagine that every miner is also hodling bitcoins and will still benefit the other way from the halving. Am I wrong? Is there anyone amongst us who is strictly a miner that depends on the rewards from mining as income to sort expenses and is not hodling any?
All miners invariably hold bitcoins since they are competing to win the mining reward. They need to cover operational cost regularly which will be affected by the halving.

How should miners prepare for the halving?
I imagine there will be a temporary drop in hashrates if some rigs close down due to high operational cost and a halved reward. This will balance out after some time if the market enters a bull run.
Although I expect they will be preparing for it and have already started saving from their current gains.

For Liverpool, we start with the hole, and then bail the water out as we put our sails up.
The high expectation is part of what makes up the perceived problem of letting in tons of goals.
If I was in an opposition team, I will really be scared of this Liverpool team, cause not only do they come back from dire situations, they know how to kill of the game once they go ahead.

I will like to see how they handle a game after going ahead first, cause I will expect them to be very dominant in that situation.

Spammers and trash posters are present in all forums, also here - merit system can not help, if the member want to spam & trash, he/she will do it.
But they have no incentive to spam which reduces the number of spammers we have here and also, wait for it... reduces the amount of spam and trash post.
The merit system means spammers are not rewarded with higher ranks for the number of posts they make here without any consideration to if they offer any value at all.

And despite leaking goals, we're actually 2nd on "least chances conceded" behind Citeh, so I'm also okay there.
Conceding 5 goals in the league after 6 games is not exactly 'leaking goals'. Liverpool have conceded the second least amount of goals [5] just behind City with 3 and they have kept one clean sheet this season.
I think what makes it look bad is that Liverpool have been going down first and needed to come back from behind in almost all the games they have played this season. It has a different feel when you are cruising to victory by 3 goals and the other team get a consolation goal and when you go down first.

It is looking scary how good Liverpool's results have been and how much they have to improve to become better. They just might edge Arsenal and return as the main title contenders.

Girona host their biggest test of the season so far and while it may be too early to call the results and performance in that match will prove if they are or can be title contenders this season or a flash in the pan.

Real Madrid are dealing with a lot of injuries especially in central defense and there are concerns about Alaba and Rudiger after yesterday's victory over Las Palmas. It is a very bad point in the season to have a depleted squad with Champions league and domestic competitions bringing difficult fixtures which needs lots of squad depth.

1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: UTXO Consolidation using Segwit and Taproot on: September 27, 2023, 04:32:56 PM
After consolidating and one still wants to have a reduced or higher transaction fee for the transaction, is it still permissible or possible to modify the transaction fee before sending?
You can edit the fee of the transaction before signing, depending on what wallet you are using. You can edit it after sending too but only to "bump" up the fee, not to reduce it.

Since you are consolidating, you should be looking to reduce the fee and not to increase it. You are sending to yourself, so just border around the minimum feerate at the time.

1075  Economy / Gambling / Re: TOP69CryptoCasinos.com | Reviews & Listings - A more honest approach on: September 27, 2023, 04:24:50 PM
1. The site does not prioritize earning money/commissions by providing misleading information or pushing players to whatever brand pays more.
There is no way to prove that the small brands are not paying for the review or that the website does not just have enough traffic to monetize the reviews yet. Many review platforms start off focused on issue-based reviews, but almost all begin to make reviews which are induced by incentives.

3. The site is built to be easy to browse and helpful to players in finding what they are looking for.

-   We don’t have banners, we don’t have tons of marketing materials or CTAs pushing players to “REGISTER NOW and GRAB THIS AMAZING BONUS!!!”...
Again this can be because you are still working to get more popular and attract ads.

Don’t forget to check "website" and please come with some feedback, if possible.
Please don’t be too harsh. We are simple people doing some research, we don't label ourselves as experts or "The Best Casino Reviews On The Planet - Play On The BEST Casinos Recommended By EXPERTS", like many others do.  Smiley
It is ironic to have a review platform asking for reviews.

I visited the site and browsed around for a few minutes, the homepage layout is not very professional and does not have ton of information some of which are necessary. It was good seeing Coins Game have such a high rating, but many of the reviews felt shallow and flowery and almost all listed casinos got a very high rating.

No dude I was referring to their Champions League match against AC Milan last week, in which they had only one shot on target for the whole game and were fortunate that AC couldn't bury any of their nine shots on goal. They might not be as fortunate in the next game.
Oh, my bad.

But to be fair to them they had been out of the champions league facing 7 times champions league winners and last years semi finalists away from home. A draw was an amazing result for them and sitting back to get it was a good decision, but I do not see them getting out of that group, maybe a Europa league finishing spot.

Where do you get that from? Leaving a neutral tag and sometimes even negative on alts accounts when they are discovered is something commonly done by DT members on a regular basis. Regardless of whether the owner wants to or not. It is left negative if one of the alts already had negatives, and neutral in all other cases.
It is perfectly understandable if one of the alts has negative to leave a feedback on all connected accounts. My comment was from the position of the admin that;
I don't have a problem with alt accounts as long as they're not used for evading bans. If you're hesitant to say something controversial because you don't want it to be associated with your name, please create an alt account and say it.
If the person is not doing anything wrong and want to make an argument or complaint with a different personality or for whatever other reason they should be allowed to do so.

The investigation, which you should do, the manager will have already done it before accepting to promote the project, if they notice any red flags, then they won't even accept the offer. But its still better to do your investigation before joining any signature campaign and if you notice anything suspicious, you can inform the manager.
A reputable manager will do their due diligence. If I plan to apply for a campaign run by reputable users, whether or not I have interacted with them, I will do very little by way of research before doing so for two reasons, one of which is what yu pointed out;
- The manager will have done their due diligence and I trust their judgement,
- And the other reason is that there is no guarantee even after researching cause projects can go rogue at any time, even after several weeks of building their reputation.

If the campaign is run by a non reputable user, it will get far more scrutiny.

I can understand that such an account created back in 2011 has some kind of sentimental value, but it would have even more if it generated some kind of value in terms of posts that don't actually exist. Will such an old account mean something special even if it manages to rank?
It will look on face value as an old member who left Bitcoin for years an only returned to it after stumbling on an old wallet they could not recover or a different reason brought them back. In the end the user will care little of it ranks as they already have an account here which is a Sr. Member, it is just a prove of their long term involvement in Bitcoin.

but I don't think it's of much importance because it's obvious from the nicknames. Although if he or any DT leaves feedback, it's not bad either.
The display name is a dead giveaway and the user might not want an 'official' confirmation or links between both accounts. I am not only speaking about this case but in general, if the account owner does not link both accounts, others should not do that for them through a tag.

Newcastle united were ulter shit and only got lucky.
I did not watch the match, but how lucky do you get to score 8 goals?
One way is you get lucky with one or two or three goals and then your opponents completely throw in the towel and the party starts, other than that you need to put in a half decent performance to win by that margin.
