I don't know if any one have raised this alarm here.
everyday new scam sites are made and advertised, and many members here raise alarm like that.

Quote
Avoid such mails they are all scam
yes, I avoid

Quote
I have been receiving this mail lately and I don't always give a f*ck to it because I don't have account with any platform neither am I expecting any form of payment from any one to any platform, so I total discard the message and trash them at the end even as they keep on coming in.
this type of mails are sent to me 100's, because i given my emails to too many PTC sites and some scamy sites, if you use your email at trusted places then you don't get that type of messages especially crypto related sites,
(some small sites sell our email and data for their profit, they are small sites so it's obvious to make some money, not every small site, but some
and don't just ignore and delete their emails, you can see at bottom of that email, their will be a "unsubscribe" button, you can press that you will never get emails from that site.

Quote
Yesterday a friend of mine told me how he fell victim of the scam, he also got same email with a tempting amount 0.5+ BTC his greed could not let him let go off the mail he decided to open the link and undergo all their process, and the BTC moved from 0.5 to 1btc + which was worth about $38k according to the screenshots sent over to me  when it was ready for withdrawal, he was as asked to make a payment of $64+ seeing the huge amount of money on the fake platform and his eagger to withdrawal 30k plus  dollars he, made a move purchase Bitcoin from Binance and make deposit to their generated address.
Since then it has been stories upon stories no payment received by him till now.
mostly new users are get trapped in scams, it's common sense no one will going to pay you crypto or money for free, and education is important, you can tell your friend to join bitcointalk forum, he will learn many things and learn to how to detect scams.

No one would object if you created a script to easily copy signature characters within the code tags. Managers would surely use it to announce their signature campaigns.

It's not a bad idea, but us not a necessity either, it would only take a couple of seconds to copy it on a PC and a less than a minute on movie if you're used to doing it.

yes, it is not a very big issue I used phone, to copy so i just wanted to share, going to lock this thread

I am first time going to participate in signature campaign but while it's been very hard to quickly and accurately copy the code, I first thought of this small issue that , I can press Ctrl+A to copy accurately but this don't worked instead it copied whole page,
so is this a good idea to build a copy button to copy codes in one click?
or you use any other simple trick to copy quickly and accurately please share.

I don't have much knowledge of coding and languages
my question is while we type our reply/post, the code of placing hyper link is very  different from html,
means what language the forum supports,  to type?
or all elements are completely unique or separate, means specifically made for this forum.

glad, that i discovered this forum, from silk road documentary on YouTube, Otherwise I would have been scrolling videos on Instagram till now
and also, share how you discovered this forum?
many people come here saying "i am new to bitcoin, from where can i start"   and share their first bitcoin purchase ,and after some posts i don't know how they get very pro at teaching bitcoin to others. i don't know how they found this forum in very early stage, when i was new to bitcoin i was just watching youtube videos about bitcoin and how to buy and all that question was just clearing out. and no one channel/youtuber on youtube told about bitcoin forum, i randomly watching some interesting stuff on youtube and got eye on silkroad video where there is too many times called name of "bitcoin talk" then i searched on google and i made an account. and now here writing this.

1075  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question about blockchain voting on: April 01, 2023, 02:12:35 PM
OP, blockchain is a digital ledger and since the  technology draws its power from the peers—or nodes—on its network to verify, process, and record all transactions across the system. This ledger is never stored, but rather exists on the “chain” supported by millions of nodes simultaneously. Through encryption and decentralization, blockchain’s database of transactions is incorruptible, and each record is easily verifiable. The network cannot be taken down or influenced by a single party because it doesn’t exist in one place.
Blockchain technology provides a platform for creating a highly secure, decentralized, anonymized, yet auditable chain of record, used presently in cryptocurrency systems. this same technology could also be used to record and report votes and prevent many types of voter fraud in elections.

Since Blockchain deals with a digital ledger that is saved on the chain, it can not be edited or stored in the office of the government body in charge. So true security is sure that all data from the vote can be store on chain and can't be tempered with. Its transparency means anyone can track the record. In terms of security, it also means individuals can stay at home and send out their vote without going out and facing violence in the election scene, because in some countries there is usually violence in the election scene.

is that type of voting tested or implemented anywhere?

Yes, Sierra Leone and Moscow has.

Quote
Sierra Leone conducted a Blockchain-based voting system on March 7 and became the first country to become so. Leonardo Gammar of Agora, stored votes in an immutable distributed ledger, thereby offering instant access to the election results.

Authorities of Moscow planned and launched a blockchain-based electronic voting system pilot project in June 2019. The project was carried out by partnering with the Moscow City Election Commission and Moscow Department of Information Technology (DIT). They provided the required support for the testing of the project.

and what are the potential technical and legal and social challenges and limitations of implementing such a system on a large scale ?
is that type of voting tested or implemented anywhere?

1078  Other / Meta / Re: How to overcome this new captcha on: April 01, 2023, 08:49:35 AM
Another thread…

I used ChatGPT to solve this Capctha but I will post it in a new thread Smiley

chat gpt does not tell or give a full bot code, but it is helpful to give you a overview and initial starting code and save time

and using machine learning is also will helpful to train the model, define features(you will need to define the features that the bot will use to make decisions. these features could include the distance between the bird and the pipes, the bird's velocity, and the time between jumps) test and refine , Collect data(to train the Flappy Bird bot)
1079  Other / Meta / How to overcome this new captcha on: April 01, 2023, 08:19:07 AM
I am not going to show you any hack or any bot to pass this new captcha, and i am not a coder or programmer.
so i am sharing some tips to solve this captcha faster and easier,
this is a good pattern i solve with :
1. patience is very important in that game(flappy bird type) and another patience is all important while posting we forget to type subject and quickly taped "post" then the number of coins to collect with increase by one . so patience is important
2. see the physics of game like how long it jumps, how many seconds it takes to come at initial position ,
3. always tap when the bird at location : a little down from the pipe and a very little gap is there between bird and pipe, the bird will go directly from between the pipe.
4. adjust screen size when screen is too small and too big then also it becomes hard to play
5. don't tap many times by thinking that more you tap you will get passed quicker, this game is of patience and calmness.
6. don't rush for tapping in the beginning of game, first let the bird travel in a line when the good place comes them tap.
7. don't see numbers that how many coins you collected, you need distraction free environment (the post seems like a motivational speaker is giving tips  Shocked)
8. playing in frustration = more time to pass , playing with calm mind = less time to pass the captcha
9. enjoy playing

i was at 10 coins to collect then i closed bitcointalk , after logging in after sometimes, while writing this post the coins to collect became 8 means the difficulty is directly proportional to number of posts in unit time.
i hope that was helpful.
1080  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: i don't have very technical knowledge about how secure it is on: April 01, 2023, 07:20:07 AM

Should another major vulnerability be exploited which would result in the complete collapse of bitcoin, then I would fully expect a fork to occur which would reverse the damage of said vulnerability and allow bitcoin to continue unaffected. It will be trivial to get the majority of the network to accept such a fork - when faced with accepting the fork or having all the bitcoin they own be worth zero, then almost all nodes and miners will accept the fork without a second thought.

is it worry for now ? some people who invested their most of the part in bitcoin will not be able to sleep at night.
and if that happens and all bitcoin goes to zero why would anyone trust other crypto that also will have bugs and vulnerabilities in future,
when they may already losed money in king like bitcoin, it will become very difficult to trust other crypto no?

most of the times is gone in solving captcha. Cry Cry Cry Undecided Undecided Undecided
and edit also count as one more coin to collect in captcha, number of times we click post= coins to collect to solve captcha
i am really really getting very angry solving that captcha, 3 times collected 8 coins of 10coins fu*k

finally after 100000 hours  Embarrassed i got that life saving saving words "CAPTCHA SOLVED" Cheesy Cheesy
