Hmm i've expected a much higher demand at these levels ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) seems like no one wants to trade at these prices. Looks like China is dragging everyone down, over 2% spread between Hooboy and Finex. Well the good part is these low prices should fuck up the centralized miners who i'm guessing are behind these daily 2k dumps trying to stay afloat. Free market at it's best Bulls (bag holders, scammers, early adopters, cultists, trolls) want you to believe that. Just look at this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=767255.0There should be crazy strong buying pressure below 300, but guess what, nothing happens. Bubble is still deflating. Paying almost $300 for internet funny money is still ridiculously overpriced.

Bears back to caves. I bought on localbitcoins in the UK near the (hopefully) bottom.
Right i am buying another chunk. If we go lower then ive got more ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Just read the last ten pages or so. Sentiment at rock bottom. Trolls doing their thing.
Bottom must be near. Still less than 30 bucks from a 5xx handle.
Why are you bearish when the market is clearly oversold, is a huge way down from ATH in a sea of good news that only a year ago would have been predicted impossible? Sentiment is a fluid thing, if we bust back up through into the 6xx's then watch it turn on a dime.

why do you noobs (who always seem to have crypto all figured out already) feel the need to constantly warn us about this thing you're convinced is a pyramid scheme / scam? are they that concerned for our financial well-being that they have nothing better to do on the internet except persistently post their public service announcements that only get as imaginative as comparing bitcoins to tulips and Beanie Babies? do they also frequent the Beanie Baby forums and urge people not to buy the 2015 Tie-Die model beanie baby, because they feel it is a bad investment? why are they so hell-bent on telling us how to spend our money and rubbing our noses in it everytime crypto takes a hit?
Have you ever visited forums about religion? There are always at least 50%+ atheists. When people think (know) they have figured it out they have the urge to warn the illusioned ones and wake them up from their crazy beliefs. Why? Because it feels satisfying to speak and read what you believe is the truth. With the difference that you cannot actually PROVE anything in religious debates. Atheists or christians/muslims/buddhists etc will still believe what they feel is right to believe/not believe. With bitcoin on the other hand, the crashing price is just in front of you, there's no mystery ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) But they still believe. Crashing price is just "manipulation" or "shaking weak hands"

There is still an opportunity to sell internet funny money close to $300, this shouldn't be taken for granted. One or two years from now, it will look like a bargain.

Offtopic question, How do I chose avatar picture on this forum? I tried to put Kodrić, Karpeles or Jeff Robinson on my profile picture but it doesn't work, how do I do it?
You can't. That is one of the outstanding unsolved technical problems of bitcoin. It is one of the reasons why I am skeptical about its future. If those so-called bitcoin experts cannot even fix that… ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) There are more reasons to be sceptical about bitcoin than just a stupid avatar issue. If that is what lead you to be sceptcial about bitcoin, you're a bit slow. It was doomed already before that!

not able to any more.. that function got disabled so anyone who has one is stuck with it afaik and anyone who doesnt have one, cant get one.. That explains why so many people are still stuck with exactly the same looking avatar, shiny looking bitcoin logo...

They're dead now, but sure a lot of people got wiped out. Bitcoin is not tulip bulbs though. why not whack out a south sea chart to mix it up a bit?
This time is different. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

What if falllling comes back and tells there is going to be a massive upswing boom for btc price from this point onwards...
What will you do? Will you believe his words this time?
I'd go all in. Notice, he was around all the way from $680 to $300 and then he suddenly stopped writing. Just after that, price stopped falling and went sideways. Didn't go up nor down. It's like market is just waiting for his announcement. This guy is a prophet, I tell you.

Stop being such a retard. Show me where in this thread Chow Chow agreed to your terms and confirmed the bet with you? He also clearly stated that the price would go over $300 before Friday, that doesn't mean the price had to still be over 300 on Friday. You can decide what you want but not what you deserve, and you deserve nothing.
This.I'm really getting tired of the Speculation section. I don't even know who this "BTC designer whatever the fuck" guy is. Just another get-rich-quick type looking for a handout. Typical. How can you speak like this when you opened this thread with a clear request for bets that the price would go above 300? Whilst you claim some absurd technicality based reason why this happened on one exchange somewhere, it clearly did not happen in spirit. The price has remained firmly below 300. There is no realistic way you could have sold your bitcoin for more than 300. This.

I think we'll be over $300 before Friday.
Anyone want to bet me 1 BTC?
I am in! I bet you 1BTC that the BTC price will be =< $299 by Friday 9th January 2015 12:00am West European time. We will take Coinmarketcap BTC Price as a reference. Do we have a bet? You owe me 1 BTC. When can I expect payment? CHOW CHOW I want my 1 BTC right away. Did the price not touch 300? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) see? one keyboard warrior detected ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) he is now quibbling with you that "I think we'll be over $300 before Friday." == "touch $300 before Friday" Bag holders are just scamming people with topics like this, trying to change the sentiment and fool new suckers to buy their bags. Just look at this topic. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=786277.0I doubt that guy has bought anything, they only want price to rise so they can dump their already existing holdings to others

Most bullish scenario, another spike to $450, and deflating toward low $200s, or 100s by the end of the year double digits - realistic scenario single digits or abandonment - bearish scenario

Where are the bears now? Lol. Usual scaremongering. Anything to get the price lower. Sad ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We don't need to do anything, supply and demand are doing all the job
