I assume this is (one of?) Pirate's wallets, and the main "Savings" part of BTCST.

I anticipated ~500K to be the balance of BTCST based on the premise that 1DkyBEK belongs to pirate before pirate himself claimed BTCST to be around 500K.

I predict you'll start noticing 1DkyBEK behaving quite differently after Aug. 17 than it has in the preceeding months up to Pirate closing shop.

The movements of July 17 were at the time unprecedented and would be an outlier, but have also been claimed by pirate himself.

If 1DkyBEK grows at a similar pace in the upcoming months, or eclipses the height of its former glory, my main premise will be proven wrong.

In a few weeks or months, not days, we can make a judgement. I think it's Pirate, if I'm wrong, we'll be able to tell soon enough.

I've added a short (heh) list of primers on the cognitive science of how to arrive at beliefs that are true,
not get robbed by pirates and win free money from crazy people making extremely overconfident bets:

I may or may not add some context to some of these links at some later time.

Kill a day with this and you haven't wasted a minute.
For now, just click on one, see where it takes you. Smiley

[01:13] <@pirateat40> I'm doing everything in my power within the contracts of the "Real World" to get things moving as fast as possible.  If, I end up losing the bets and spending everything I worked for to make things right I will.  I will not be giving any additional times or dates until I know exactly when things will happen.

This is good news for the true believers. They will always be able to dream of getting their money back.

Oh, post the part about him admitting to not having all the coins.

Updated, added the final line. (Last word as of right now.)

Could you post these as text instead of image?

I honestly can't copy/paste the text from IRC.  Feel free to take over. Smiley

Worse he doesn't owe 500K BTC anymore he now owes 552K BTC and the number is increasing at a rate of ~4 BTC per minute.

So around 40 BTC per ten minutes? No problem. He can just mine that with GPUMAX.  Wink

meh, prime time for a shill IMO

seems like all the shill accounts are always active in some mining or buying or selling mining stuff, then get into lending.

Fred Pirate Ride Sat 21 April 2012
by GregK » Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:19 am

Ahoy, pirates, bucanners, freebooters, corsaires,

This Saturday's Pirate Ride may be sailing from a different port. LBJ Park in Stonewall, to be specific. Looks like another gale-force day, similar to last Saturday. If only we could reef our sails.

Forecast points to gusting winds from north and northwest. I suggest two possible routes. One is the Sandy loop, probably ridden counter-clockwise. The other would incorporate Cave Creek and then up towards Willow City and meandering back via Wahrmund-Ahrens and North Grape Creek Rds.

I am looking for 1.5 to 2 hours of steady, more-or-less earnest cruising up and down hills, mostly to burn some calories and stimulate mitochondria multiplication. For those still interested in crushing hills in advance of West Texas climbing, well, my period for that training will have passed. (I may punctuate the group ride with some individual TT efforts once back at the park, as a final fitness honing effort before beginning sincere tapering for the Big Event.)

Open to other suggestions and comments. Hope to post a more concrete description tomorrow, or Thursday at the latest.

And by all means, if some Pirates prefer to ride out of Fred proper, please don't hesitate to post a "competing" ride.

--Greg Kagay

None of this proves anything of course (the standard no mexican hitmen disclamer applies) but it is an interesting lead.  Smiley

From this it seems quite plausible that GregK merely knows pirate/his dropbox.
I don't see how it can be assumed that GregK is pirateat40.

The reason I'm reposting here is that the the OP was changed into:

  • A japanese translation of Harry Potter,
  • 100 gifs (well more than enough anyways) of a comedian doing the meatspin on stage,
  • A rant about freemasonry,
  • And finally a single dot. (".")

All within 10 minutes.  Roll Eyes Tongue

I don't know why you guys are talking about pirate, this is a Harry Potter thread.
Someone edited out OP. would someone please check who did that? (by placing your cursor on the op's date) I'm on a tablet hence I can't do so .

The original poster edited it and moved it.

The basic idea is good, but the execution was a bit overkill.  Tongue Grin

I suppose accusing random person X of being random person Y (a known axe rapist)
while posting his person X's picture, address and pictures of his home on a Google indexed public forum is kinda... bad.

Still, this thread had good leads. I hope OP moderates, sanitizes and restores his post.

Or something along those lines... Roll Eyes

Hmm... OP deleted every one of his posts but this one. What the meatspin is going on?  Tongue

What the hell happened to the OP? Replaced with a Japanese translation of Harry Potter? Shocked Did the mods do this? That's copyrighted material! Tongue

If this is pirate, then why is he not in the vegas picture?

Did anyone actually see the ID Pirate@40 / "Trendon Shavers" used in the Vegas casinos? Goat? Co-conspirators, are you there? Smiley

Would you even get admitted to Vegas casinos with a check fraud legal history? (I guess yes.)

Isnt displaying info like this without consent illegal?

If i were you i would delete this thread ....

And what if u are accusing the wrong person .....

I think OP is very likely doxxing the wrong person.

That said, if I were you I'd be more interested in the 500K BTC theft, than getting consent.

To rule out the possibility, someone should definitely give GregK a call, or get the police to give him a call.
I'm sure Greg wouldn't want to get involved in some enormous theft and fraud case if he indeed is not involved.

Make an inquiry into if/how GregK knows Trendon Shavers, at a minimum.

Does anyone know more about Brandon? (brandon@s2expert.com)

Smiley

Either this is false or MtGox is really, really into laundering their customers money for funds reason. (For obvious reasons this is highly implausible.)

What do you mean by laundering customers money ?

As for the observed transactions, it would also make sense if it was mtgox. Someone bought a lot of coins during the drop, and cashed them out, forcing mtgox to refill the hot wallet.
The best way to check (without MagicalTux confirmation) would be to correlate it to the ask side of their orderbook (supposing it represent a stable % of all btc deposits, which is not perfect, but should still be ok).

Not so. If so, Mt. Gox is laundering money:

https://blockchain.info/address/1E9k79dLuhfspdEtymzP7vhaYVGFcdfsYs
Follow that 20k.

What is the point of this? As of now, there are 18 different confirmed addresses the 20k transfers to, making small (relatively) deposits on the way. What is going on?
Oh boy, those 20k BTC from earlier are moving like bees with diabetes from one flower to another. I cant even keep track of that money. Looks like when it finally arrives, it will be clean as a whistle.

The 80k BTC are still staying put.

The remaining 80k BTC just set in motion. Laundering in process..

It's not Gox.

1)  I read this entire thread.  Who else assumes we are watching Pirate's wallet here?

2)  BitcoinMax:  $~150k coins?    + private investors (I heard of 2x 25k coin private + a bunch of 5k 5k 5k 5k 5k 5k ones.  who knows what this adds up to)  + BurtW Pirate bonds + other pirate bonds... are we to think he had 500k coins AFTER all the interest he paid out?  He must have scammed more, when the faucet was cut off it looks like he was owing around $50k USD per day in interest? maybe moar?  Seems like it's at the top end of my early estimates:  if he had 500k coins left after the 1/2 yr of interest, he could have had ~ 1M btc on the books in loans, ~70k/wk in headshot interest payments, it makes sense for him to cut it off now as there is no way he's getting that kind of investment or quelling that kind of withdraws each week.

Just starting to think it's a $10M Ponzi, not a $1M one.

2) Micon, see this:

Interest payments were made electronically (redeposited) but not actually sent out.

1) I assume this is (one of?) Pirate's wallets, and the main "Savings" part of BTCST.

If 1DkyBEK grows at a similar pace in the upcoming months, or eclipses the height of its former glory, the premise of this whole thread has been falsified and I was wrong.

In a few weeks or months, not days, we can make a judgement. I think it's Pirate, if I'm wrong, we'll be able to tell soon enough.
