Well, I think that only reporting posts is not enough for being a moderator, a more important factor is having trust (or a untrusted person would have control of everyone's posts, and he may scam!). OP is a member in default trust depth 4, with black trust when viewed in default trust (depth 2), however I don't think this trust rating is enough. At least the member needs to be in depth 2/3 and dark green trust in depth 1/2 to be very trusted here.
being on DT has no correlation to one's ability to clean up the forum and delete off topic posts. |

hey I'll volunteer myself to look over the code once in a while as the updates come out, I have 5ish years of experience working with Java, pm me if that works for you.
just a note, I do not gamble anymore (at all) and will not test out functionality should you choose me to look over the code, I will only examine the source code and verify its safety for users.

The idea isn't exactly new or bad, but new sections are rarely created. I guess with the activity in Meta being manageable a new section for ban appeals wasn't thought to be necessary.

people hope that some random individual will come along and bet until it gets close to the 10k mark, at which point they wold start spamming bets to simply try and snipe the 10k bounty. unfortunately, everyone is doing this and thus very few bets get made. as for me, i have quit gambling, and only play with a few dollars on rare occasions. |

I think it's getting more and more obvious that Turing56 is a scammer; he himself has been just repeating over and over that he's not a scammer without any proof, and has been ignoring your requests to post a TxID. @Turing56, you should have been smarter to scam; scamming PayPal funds? Really? lol. A scammer like you should already know that PayPal funds can easily be charged back.  its possible the funds were transferred to his 'real' account, causing the pp account op sent money to to have a negative balance. meanwhile, the main account has however much was sent sitting in it. |

i think it should be reviewed on a case by case basis, there's too many possible factors to consider when it comes to something like this (ex mental illness, chance of recovery, terminal illness, is the individual a threat to those around them, etc). |

The problem with that is that it is mostly a temporary status these persons are in. Nearly every person had though about suicide already, a few even attempt it. But those who don't succeed are happy years later that they still live.
It should be mandatory to go to a lengthy therapy with doctors that don't earn from killing. That might be the only solution.
there's a big (and i mean really big) gap between having suicidal thoughts (i think the majority of people have been here) and attempting suicide, and yet another to repeating attempts. iirc there are pretty stringent requirements for euthanasia to be given the green light (mental illness, terminal illness, etc, not looking it up right now). These doctors have lost it. I would also blame the laws that allow the doctors to give the go ahead.
I hope the woman recognizes her folly and change her mind.

Another way to get lots of trust quickly is to buy it - but you have to be a bit sneaky about it because trust buying is frowned upon here. So don't tell anyone you are buying trust.
Do lots of giveaways, games, crazy offers; make people happy. There's no trust involved but they will give you really good trust ratings anyway.
Make yourself into a popular, likeable character with plenty of goodwill towards yourself. That way the 1% who are smart enough to figure out your game will be silenced by the 99% fooled by your game.
