You guys really don't reallize you're being slapped around by hackers and early adopters. They will keep on doing these 2-5k dumps until the resistance is so low it triggers a cascade. They will buy back at the bottom, wait for you all to pump back the price again in ignorance and repeat.
You can also sell your account and leave the Bitcoin community for good if you think everything will go to zero. But we all know you won't be doing so.

Actually, I do hold US dollars. I have converted probably 50% of my Euro's into US dollars when the rate was around $1.30-$1.35 for 1 Euro. And it turned out to be a wise decesion.
Regarding holding Bitcoin, I will probably leave my cold wallet coins untouched for the comming years. You never know what will happen. My other coins do get spent on things.

Don't forget where we are, people here like to turn a small issue into a huge problem. If they properly read everything intead of the title only, they would known that by now.

You just can't eat when competition is selling their services for $5-$10
Don't worry mate. If people are serious about having a logo made or a template and such, they will look for quality and will contact designers who deliver quality for their money. I am extremely happy with the logo you made for me. Top designer.

It may be one of the reasons why certain large companies are holding back for the moment, but it's just a matter of time before block sizes get bigger. I certainly hope it gets done within a year.
Beside that, giving Bitcoin the ability to confirm transactions faster will also massively help. But changing this isn't something the majority of the community is waiting for.

At the moment the site is very slow for me, not sure what is going on, it's probably an idiot ddossing the forum for the 1,000,000th time. Are the more people experiencing the same?

Gox paying up? Are you completely delusional? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Mark still has his life to live in wealth, he will not be paying back those coins. He will be dumping them along with the other ~500.000 stolen btc. Probably during this summer. (where you claim stability lol..) This is the first time ever I agree on something you have said. I also think Mark will never pay back a single satoshi. I sincerely hope he will dump all his coins within a year from now. If he indeed does dump his coins, then we can focus on growing instead of worrying about him dumping once the price reaches new ATH's.

I just voted for XT. Not a very difficult choise for me, I will follow Gavin everywhere. I don't understand why it doesn't show how much people have voted. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

I am not exactly sure anymore, but it was in the range of ~$20 at that time. I bought just a few coins back then at that price just to test it out. Then bought more at $45-$50.

I didn't expect him to say otherwise. But he is right indeed. Smart people always buy in on huge sell-offs and keep holding their coins. The others are always waiting. Stop waiting and buy now.

i think it is partly because most people who though they can become millionaires from bitcoin in one night gave up and left the scene.
But where are they? We need to get them back? Where they go? Those that fairly understood what Bitcoin is, i doubt will forgot about it anytime soon. I hope these get rick quick noobs will stay away. They clearly don't know how markets work. We don't need them back. Big players are fine accumulating small amounts of coins everyday out of the 3600 mined. And doing so things are quiet and price stays low. Can only keep a lid on price for so long though.
Big players have already bought in a long time ago. Currently it is a great time for small traders and believers to buy in before they miss another train.

i hope it goes down. because i have some extra fiat money that i didn't know what to do with. now i am waiting for an opportunity to convert it to bitcoin if the price was right.
but i am doubtful that this can happen, and i am going to have my orders left unfilled
I don't recommend you to buy Bitcoin right now, just wait until this Gavin scandal pass. You can invest a part on Alts: Litecoin for example. LOL, you advise some one to invest in shitcoins instead of Bitcoin? Go play in the altcoin section if you think that's the place to be.

Well the majority moved to Kickass including me. Both websites are horrible and way outdated. Kickass has quite a huge number of bugs. If there was proper management to these websites using the would be a nice experience. I however tend to go to TPB to look for older things that I can't find on Kickass.
Websites are quite outdated, yes. Not sure why they don't plan to give it a makeover. Perhaps the old styling gives the best performance and loads smoothly on slow connections. Public trackers are generally shit. I used to use piratebay but haven't bothered with it in years and you're best off joining a private one where people actually give a shit about their ratio and don't just hit and run all the time. IPtorrents is good for a general mix of stuff especially tv and movies and what or waffles for music.
I used to be active on a private tracker, but there are not enough leechers to justify my pc staying online all the time for a few users. Open trackers give you thousands of leechers. I then happily seed around 500-1000GB per day if it the movie is very popular.

![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) whyy not guys ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) could anyone please explain ? if the demand stays the same , and the the supply got halved from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC , why the price won't get doubled ? I guess it does make some sense 1800 less coins a day would make a small dent in availability but nothing too radical. The block halving will just cause a temporarily peak in the price. I seriously doubt it will hold that price for a long time. 6 months after the halving, the price will probably fall back considerably.

Again such a thread? How many have we had already?
Satoshi has completed his task, which was making sure the community takes over Bitcoin to bring it to the next level. His plan worked out well. So, nope, no need for him to come back.
So you're saying that it's OK that he left because he done his job? And it had nothing to do with Gavin talking to the feds? Do you not wonder that maybe he was forced out? It's pure speculation, he might have, or might have not been forced to leave. We will probably never know. I can't complain as Bitcoin has grown so massively. It's on the right track. Beside that, I can't see him improve Bitcoin more than already has happened and will happen by the core devs.
