I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?
you can start trading even with 0.01 but your profits would be too small, so a .5 is a nice amount, just dont put all your eggs in the same basket.., and have patience as it is his new start in the trade so now he do not need to think about the profit but he have to start the trade and have to train and check himself and when he is confirmed that he can do trade and can earn then he have to invest more money in trade. Everyone should start a small amount of money when new in trading and that should be strictly followed by everyone, in trading what makes us successful is our knowledge, skills and experience so as newbie we do not have that all factors to work together yet so start small. |

Currently i am earning bitcoins from signature campaign and also from social media campaign, one more way from where i am generating my coins but it will take little bit time to grow my bitcoins and that is trading, i bought some currencies and now holding it and waiting for price to increase.
I think most of users are earning bitcoins from signature campaign and trading as both can generate descent amount of coins in long run and there is no chance of getting scammed in it. You are right with it using both of it will be useful but for me if you just wanted to be on a safe with your money. Then you can just simply save that money and if you think that you are already ready to have investments then you can do both of it but I would it would depend on how much the savings you already have so that you can support your investment. Saving should be the first step and that is what I have been doing, when we are saving we will just allocate a certain percentage of our savings that we will be using for investment, it does not matter where you are going to put it as long as you can guarantee that you have evaluated it carefully and you have analyze your chances. |

Rich from gambling can be only gambling site owners. They can be really rich - a lot of Bitcoins.  You might be right. But OP asking us, by playing gambling, not providing the service of gambling house. If the gambling house owners also a gambler, then he might be a richest person in my guessing. As long as we are gambling that can be considered, investing in a gambling house could be qualified in the topic IMO, and for me that is the most effective to be rich in gambling because we know for the fact that only when we are lucky will we can win in gambling and that does not happen all the time. |

It's a good stategy to wait everytime for something, but i think that if you living on money from bitcoin only, you should sell not even looking on price sometimes.
I certainly agree with your statement, if you are living with your income here in bitcointalk, you cannot just hold your bitcoins as everyday you need to attend on your expenses, it is good to hold for a longer period of time but not all of our resources, it should be a balance living, that we have investment and at the same time we will be able to pay our bills and other needs. |

I probably would sell my websites if i really need the money. If I were desperate for money I would certainly come to this forum to ask for a loan and apply for a loan as bitcoins make financing very fast and easy...
And the good part is interest rates are low
The problem with such is that you will need to provide a valuable collateral. if they find it cheap, the load you get is much cheaper. You cannot avail big loans online and if what you need is just a small amount of money, just ask your friends about it, maybe they can help but not online because like the above poster said they will need collateral as they are in the business. |

Bitcoin is online currency and bank is money storage offline. I mean it is different, bitcoin won't disappear the bank. Bank will just adopt bitcoin in the future whether they like it or not.
Bank is a big business that government supported, they print money for us so they will not disappear for sure, on the other hand bitcoin is just a digital currency very alive because of our support but if you look at closer, we are still getting the money from the bank to buy bitcoins. |

of course i did lose bitcoin. but this loss of bitcoin was always in gambling nothing else. and the funny part is that i am ok with it, because i have had fun playing the games and also the important part of it is that i did not lose more than i was planning to lose. It can not be predicted. But I wish this should reach out to everyone in every corner and everyone should start using the bitcoins. The government should accept it and allow the people to use the bitcoins everywhere. The bitcoin would become much popular and the value of this would surely increase still more than what will be expected. The economy market will see a great spike in profit as well.

Selling is not a good thing and another fact is that with selling you are just making a little bit of profit, you can better wait on better prices to sell your bitcoin for.
Also the fact that the bitcoin can become the currency of the future makes it for me pretty simple that we should hold it.
By holding it, you have a good chance to make good profit in the future but never selling it does not make sense. We have to sell our bitcoins by should be on the right timing and that right timing is when we are making profit when we sell. i think it is not necessery that ever one losses in the long run, i personal know about so many people who have made such a good money in gambling and now enjoying their life in which some are still playing gambling while other have stop gambling any more.

I prefer the bitcoin above the gold because with the bitcoin you can do more things as a example you can buy things with it globally, with gold this is not the fact at all, you can almost do nothing with it..
But as of now there are still limited things and stores that uses bitcoin for payment but still I would go for bitcoin because I believe that this is going to be recognized by the government and society that this is going to be a great medium for our currency. And the investments with bitcoin are easy enough to understand unlike with gold. Fulfill my dream I guess becoming a teacher abroad maybe apply for the Texas Bilingual Teacher Support have decent Income and then only then after I'm established I could bring back the investment from my very own gainings as a professional to help others with similar needs  That's a good way to spend it if that is your expertise in life, with 10 BTC you can use that as capital to achieve your dreams. I think this approch is good to try  Not all woman are interested on the way in making money even though you are giving here a gift coming from your earnings in BTC, most of them will just appreciate the gift but not your method, it is very rare you can find a woman that has interest with bitcoin. |
