10741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $3000 By The End Of The Year on: May 10, 2017, 03:52:35 PM
Strong demand in Japan where it is now deemed a legal means of payment is among many factors pushing the price higher. Great article:

https://www.finextra.com/newsarticle/30527/bitcoin-set-to-go-boom

for the current movements of bitcoin's price it looks really possible that $3000 price is going to happen even not exactly at the end of this year  but we can never be sure about it and there are lots of possibilities that will going to affect the price . but still nobody's not hoping for it so what we can do for now is to watch the price's activity .
I have my doubts about this one because when we get over $2000 the temptation will be too high for whales to ignore making it difficult for bitcoin prices to soar as whales will dump some their btc sending a negative price effect, but you  know what anything is possible inclusive of going over 3k Wink

Food's a cool idea.
For perishable foods not a good idea unless you will have someone to provide express delivery services.

Is there anywhere that sells cell phone credit? That's something I'd love to buy with bitcoins.
we have reputable service providers with this service already, try piiko.co and bitrefill.com but competition is good for business feel free to start one Grin
10743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: May 09, 2017, 11:00:38 PM
One thing that would be interesting (just as a thought experiment) would be for Satoshi to make a move that basically says, "Don't. Mess. With Bitcoin." Something that would REALLY get attention. I suppose it's too much to assume that Satoshi still has access to his/her/their original private keys?

If Satoshi Nakamoto's identity is ever to be revealed, it would be a good thing if he/she/they were to control the circumstances in which it is revealed, in any case. That way Satoshi Nakamoto at least has some control over what happens.
I think from now satoshi cant controll the whole bitcoin community since now bitcoin is already popular and lots of country can used and mine bitcoin. And also there are a lot of bitcoin system developer in each country that is why they do not rely on the past of bitcoin or where the bitcoin starts.

thinking in those lines too and if satoshi ever decided to go solo and control how bitcoin is run
that would be going against his own decentralization beliefs and by now we all have seen how much power the community has collectively to make it a great asset .

I think satoshi nakamoto would be happy if more people will saying that we are very thankful that he/she discover bitcoin to help many people like us.

Yep his a genius he knows we all living his dream Cheesy

10745  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: May 09, 2017, 07:37:25 PM
It can lead actually since it is full anonymous

Yes, it will be much more convenient due to anonymity. Bitcoin will bring corruption to a new level Cheesy
I say Bitcoin only has partial anonymity it does not have that feature like other alts do and if you chose to bribe someone using bitcoin it would be easy for somebody to link a transaction to you which is evidence on its own, so using bitcoin for corrupt practices might be a bad idea  because bitcoin is an open book. Am confident that bitcoin can not lead to corruption

10747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: May 09, 2017, 08:23:19 AM
DOGE may not be the "future" of altcoins - it has certainly cemented itself in crypto history and has served a continued purpose as a gateway alt, introducing many people to crypto. The community is seeing a revival also, with the current 3 developers taking a real renewed interest. So it's not the future, but it still has a strong say, and all the better for that.
Am with you on this one, I do not see Dogecoin to be part of the future either but its written a great history to be among one of the first cryptocurrencies.

If the doge developers could fork it just like LTC went through , it might have a chance to compete with other altcoins that have unique and on the demand features that make them valuable to us. The bottomline is Dogecoin is now a crypto historical attraction nothing more Roll Eyes
10748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else HAVE most or maybe ALL of their money in btc/crypto? on: May 09, 2017, 06:10:42 AM
Am still playing it safe with going all into cryptocurrencies, have chosen to diversify my savings into physical assets which of course are cash equivalates and just like bitcoin am guaranteed of a ROI should i choose to sell.
But atm am starting to believe investing in digital assets like bitcoin is the way to go.
10749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: May 09, 2017, 01:35:00 AM
One of the best ways to make bitcoin is to learn some advanced computer skills which you could apply on making signature codes, you could learn web

design or altcoin creation or simply learn a new language and use your translation skills to make some bitcoins .

10751  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing money on bitcoin..! on: May 08, 2017, 11:38:51 PM

This is a good thing. More people that investing in bitcoin the more prices to pump on bitcoin I believe that bitcoin prices pump depends on the investors and the traders or in the market. I'm thinking that we should encourage all pur relatives to join bitcoin and invest a huge money and if its true that bitcoin price depends on the investor we should really do that thing.

Yes, investing your money in bitcoin is a very good thing. And that is going to give you a better future, only if you are going to believe that bitcoin will be pumping and skyrocketing in future. Because if you'll think about those people that bought it at lower price they are now enjoying their profit. And that can happen to us too.
one thing is certain! We are not guaranteed that our investments are safe or bitcoin will bring in good profits in the future that is why we should consider investing not only in btc but in other cryptocurrencies such as credibit that offer interests on our crypto coin for holding.
We can not also base success of our investments on the early adopters who we rewarded handsomely for believing in something nobody thought would go mainstream...right now there is competition from altcoins and very active traders who could manipulate the price artificially.
10752  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,400 HIT (Next goal is $1,500) on: May 08, 2017, 09:09:23 PM
My experience is that if you are not a full time trader make sure to avoid taking profit and just like many others, enjoy the ride.
Daytraders will make money of this volatility but for the average joe that is very hard to do.
How do you suggest to book profits in a bull market when it is hard to get a chance to re enter when you off load your coins,it is really difficult for me to do that and if really think that you could do that i would like to learn that from you, with the run we are having we could reach $1700 before a correction but it all depends upon how the price will face the resistance at $1500.
This not the moment to day trade, in my opinion this is the moment to just hold, sit and enjoy your free earning thanks to bitcoin, since we don’t know when the bull market is going to stop and eventually reverse, the best thing to do is to hold as long as possible and then sell.
Its unbelievable how things are really happening so fast for bitcoin, i remember those times when it was basically a +/-10 difference now its gone 5 fold and over. You do not know what you might wake up to , i guess you might be right with just holding back then seat back & relax because this show is not yet over.
10753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: May 08, 2017, 07:48:17 PM
I don't have a lot of bitcoins in my holdings so i just decided to put it on online wallet so i can use it anywhere with their app and i can use it easily rather than having an expensive hardware wallet which is good for people who got a lot of bitcoins to secure. I'm planning for next year to start getting a hardware wallet because this year, my plan is to collect bitcoin as many as i can.
Online saving of bitcoins isn't safe as the websites can be hacked and due to which you will loose all your bitcoins.
You should look for offline wallets even if in your case you are having very few bitcoins.

its a valid reason to keep bitcoins online like blockchain.info if you not holding a lot of them. Of course their is always that element of security
but if we can have access to our own private keys i think web wallets might be convenient enough in some way without the need to wait for a wallet to sync before any transactions are done.

10755  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: May 08, 2017, 05:29:52 AM
I am standing by my opinion that the 2000 mark may be reached sometime around the New year, but technical issues must be resolved during the summer because overall situation is actually far from good. Otherwise, we'll struggle to come anywhere near it, and -more importantly- remain there.

But what if the technical issues are not resolved and everything stays the same? Bitcoin will not reach $2000 this year then according to your opinion.

By technical issues, I assume you mean the debate between a hard fork to BU or a soft fork to Segwit activation?
Despite all these technical issues surrounding btc , bitcoin price has been on the raise of late and we just might get lucky as long as the positive speculations keep rolling in and get to $2000 this year.

By the way if these technical issues of a hard fork ( BU )or a soft fork (Segwit activation) are activated they might push the price over 2000 with ease

10756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: May 07, 2017, 11:59:26 PM
I think that bitcoin has the potential to become not only a store of value but could potentially change the entire way finance is seen and used. My only concern is the rise of fees and the time for confirmations. my hope is for bitcoin to survive.
Bitcoin cannot rise much further with this problem, higher price means higher fees and longer time to wait.
But, we believe in bitcoin and it will keep growing over time as cryptocurrency world get more attention right now, Million of dollars flow into this society daily, we know people looking for invest on digital currency.
we need segwit like yesterday if we want our precious bitcoin to survive against altcoins with better and more attractive features
IMO Bitcoin is already losing popularity to alts as a result of unaddressed problems of slow btc transfers and high tx fees, i think we just might have another bitcoin alt in the future should we act late!
10757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term or Long Term on: May 07, 2017, 10:54:41 PM
trading bitcoins or altcoins is becoming very hard and unpredictable whether Short Term or Long Term the result is almost the same with which ever strategy you choose to go with, that is the reason why alts that promise to pay an interest for holding coins are starting to bare fruit and imo is the best way solution for a decent ROI.
