I have Electrum 2.8.2 and Microsoft Windows
Update it to the latest version. Older versions before 3.0 have several synchronizations issues and are vulnerable to fake "please update" phishing messages that show on specific malicious servers and to a serious exploit that could result in the loss of your coins! P.S: ONLY DOWNLOAD ELECTRUM FROM ELECTRUM.ORG - THIS IS THE ONLY REAL WEBSITE!!! OTHERS ARE SCAM.

Thank you, how can I sincronize electrum? what I have to do? i know the seed many thanks again...
Which version of Electrum are you using? What is your OS? If it’s > 3.0, try going to %appdata%/Electrum, deleting the file “blockchain_headers” and running it again. Wait a few minutes for it to sync.

I've sent email in regards to this with no response. help me..!
I have the letter of guarantee.
Again... CoinMixer.se closed their doors months ago. You got scammed by a fake phishing version of CoinMixer. Post the Letter of Guarantee and you will see. CoinMixer project is discontinuedWe decided to permanently shutdown our mixing service. As of now, no user funds are left on our servers. If you experienced any mixing issues recently or you have active affiliate account with a positive balance, please contact us within 30 days of this announcement. coinmixer@protonmail.com

So only Desktop wallet is affected with Google's spell check? Not Android? I thought that also the Android wallet is affected by this.
That's right. And according to them, that was fixed in the latest patch for the Desktop version.
|
|
|
AFAIK they only did that (send your seed over to Google's spell check) in their Desktop wallet. The Android version wasn't affected.
Now, if you should trust them in the first place, that's something else.

~snip~
It's way simpler that way. Also, there is no way to link every phishing website in existence. What if we forget any? It doesn't make those not in the list legit. If not: ChipMixer. comChipMixer wzxtzbw.onionThen: > Scam

Banning the associated IP addresses could mean that a VPN service gets banned which could create problems for those users using that VPN to browse Bitcointalk. And it is not their fault that the same service was misused in this way.
IP "bans" (evil units fees) only affect users registering a new account with that IP. If you already have an account and login with the dirtiest IP in the world, it won't matter. And if you are a new user creating a brand new account, you can just pay the fee regarding how much evil units the IP has and you are free to go.

Talvez a coisa melhor seria um cartao curve comprado na europa que tem zero taxas de saques atè 200 gbp mensais
Parece que ele só está disponível para países da União Europeia. Curve is currently available in 27 countries within the European Economic Area (EEA)
The following is a list of eligible EEA countries:
Austria Belgium Bulgaria Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Hungary Iceland Ireland Italy Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands Norway Poland Portugal Romania Slovenia Spain Sweden United Kingdom (excluding Crown Dependencies: Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man)
In 2019, we plan to start shipping cards to:
Croatia Cyprus Greece Slovakia
https://support.imaginecurve.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213342769-Who-can-get-Curve-Até agora ainda prefiro vender meus BTCs e usar meu cartão de crédito normal, pois não vi nenhum cartão de BTC viavel até agora.

It looks like the merits were removed by (Bitcoin Forum) for (deleted/off-topic/ignored)
Basically it's punishment for shitposting it looks like lol
Probably not a bug.
I literally just said what it is. C'mon... Go do your signature spam bursting somewhere else. Anyways, I've found the source. Is stingers still a merit source?
Not anymore. That's clear abuse, awarding merit for political reasons rather than any idea of quality. Only because he was a source, I effectively undid those merit sends. If he had not been a merit source, I still would've blacklisted anyone who got into DT1 through that type of shenanigans. -snip-

Removed by theymos.
IIRC, in this specific case, he removed the merits sent to users trying to get into DT so they could remove Lauda.

Hm... just saw that 77kdub was actually already neg tagged by nulius for being an alt of Humber* and CasinoExpert - which we discovered to be true at the same time. Those are old scammers/abusers. Maybe they are really alts? wilburwilbur = 77kdub = Humber* = CasinoExpert = ...? I am not on anyone's side here and I'm not here to defend one person or another but one thing that I did notice Is that the trust On 77dub could be a retaliation for trust complaints against that member, there are only two negative marks and both from the same person. There is no real control over the trust system here, just neg and pos from one person to another with rare moments of corection, as i said, not here for anyone's side, just something i noticed
The only retaliation trust there is 77dub's neg trust on nulius.

So guys, what I should do now? Do I have to uninstall the new one I installed and then just install the old one? What if it will prompt again that I cannot transact?
Yeah... there is no Electrum 4.0 and this is a fake website. You should definitely do a clean reinstall of your OS and create a brand new wallet. Both are probably compromised. You should always only download Electrum from their official website (ELECTRUM.ORG) and always double check the file you're downloading. The fake messages were fixed in the latest version. If you can't transact because of the malicious server, you should just change the server and try again. The ONLY website Electrum has is ELECTRUM.ORG;

Seems a case of abusing need to dig more, even if wilburwilbur and 77kdub seem to be alts they seem to haven't abuse.
Can you explain why you are using the same address?
They gave each other merit... if they are alts, how is that not abuse?

I just want to read on mobile without having to scroll for every single sentence... theymos plz bae
The new forum software is mobile friendly/responsible. Just wait for it.

Yep tried that but still no luck. Will i lose my coins if I remove electrum wallet and and install again?
Make sure you have your backup seed stored somewhere. Then, you can do whatever you want with it. However, I don't think this would fix anything. Try going to %appdata%\Electrum and deleting the "blockchain_headers" file; afterward, open Electrum again and wait a few minutes for it to sync.

DON’T USE THIS SERVICE!UNINSTALL IT RIGHT NOW AND REVOKE YOUR COINBASE API KEYS. I just saw this while browsing through Reddit: Dear members of the Ethereum community, TL;DR: Uninstall Moon, Revoke your Coinbase API Keys NOW and PROTECT YOUR ETHEREUM I was the co-founder and CTO at https://paywithmoon.com. Due to my discovery of the unethical business practices Moon Technologies, Inc. has been engaged in, I have left the company. As of today, the moon browser extension manipulates the DOM of the users' browsers to give them an augmented shopping experience, one that allows them to shop online with cryptocurrency. Over the past couple of months, my co-founder, Kenneth Kruger, has ordered the collection of data belonging to users as a way to improve customer experiences. No users have ever been asked explicitly if they would prefer to opt-out of tracking, a feature which I regularly insisted should be added. If you are a user and look under at terms and conditions stated under https://paywithmoon.com/terms-conditions/ (dated 26 Feb 2019), you will find the agreement hidden under one of the terms and conditions. This is a huge breach of GDPR and privacy laws that are meant to protect user data. From the moment a user installs the browser extension, the company will know exactly what pages are open on the user's browser, what the content of those pages are, and what the user is doing with them. The biggest and most alarming issue of all, is the process of collection of how the browser extension works in the backend - Coinbase API keys. From the moment the user initiates the connection between the company and Coinbase, the company watches for changes in the user's current window, waiting for the user to complete the one-time passcode (OTP) verification process as required by Coinbase. Once that is done, the company programatically clicks the required permissions (scopes) required to create the API key as it sees fit. The API key is then shown only once on the next screen, but the user does not know this (done via CSS manipulation). The company extracts the API keys into the backend, stored in plain text on the company's database on AWS. This is a definite security antipattern. This API key is then able to be used indefinitely until manually revoked by the individual user. When I asked Kenneth Kruger why we should not encrypt the keys or create recursively locking IAM policies to prevent anyone in the management team to have personal access to users' API keys, Kenneth Kruger constantly avoided or redirected the discussion and prevented me from building any kind of system that would protect users. Only two days ago, I have been locked out of my organization accounts including AWS and can no longer take preventive measures to protect users. If you are a user of our browser extension today, ***PLEASE*** you need to uninstall the browser extension via chrome://extensions and go into https://www.coinbase.com/settings/api and revoke ALL your API keys NOW. If you have not used the Moon browser extension, but know of a friend that might, please inform him or her to do so immediately. You can read more about my experience in another post here https://np.reddit.com/r/startups/comments/au668p/what_to_do_in_the_event_you_get_zuckerberged_in_a/. I had created Moon as I was crazy enough to think I was able to change the world with the single vision of bringing mass adoption to cryptocurrency, accelerating the future of the financial system. However, today is truly a sad day for crypto. Until we can find a way to completely decentralize and move away from the corporations, the no-accountability attitude and greed many executives possess, we cannot hope to bring forth the dream of cryptocurrency. Until we meet on the moon again, please be safe, not sorry,
Alexander Ang https://reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/auqrhf/psa_on_moon_browser_extension/Until this is solved, don’t trust them.

I think it has been newely implemented:
Not much changed. Most users banned for plagiarism will remain banned and new ones will still get a permaban. There's been no policy change. redsn0w wasn't permanently banned due to several factors which made me think that permabanning him would be a net negative for the forum. Nobody is banned strictly because of "the rules"; it's always handled case-by-case, but almost always, plagiarists deserve to be permabanned.
If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.
