BCH is going up, time to close the ratio  Cool

...if we break $555, we could break $700 very quickly.

Going to $700 at the current value would be about a 35% increase that's quite a bit and a 35% increase on BTC would put it at just over $5600

Yes, true. BCH is looking weak right now.

It's not about the news, it's about MY OPINION. Don't you get it?! It is MOST important! That is why BTC will go down! mohahhahaa *joking*  Tongue

No its about community and developer support and BTC had the largest community of supporters and also the best developers and cryptographers from around the world.

Yes BCH was successful to an extent but its still using 99.99% of cores code and even future updates are derived from core and no matter how much some of the BCH supporters hate and bash on core without them this would not exist and im pretty sure the developer(s) would not be able to re write it all from scratch

Also see here in this post from Hal Finney who worked very close with satoshi and was also the first person to receive a bitcoin transaction from satoshi

Bitcoin itself cannot scale to have every single financial transaction in the world be broadcast to everyone and included in the block chain. There needs to be a secondary level of payment systems which is lighter weight and more efficient.

Bitcoin Exchange BTCC Sets Deadline for Yuan Withdrawals

Nonetheless, BTCC appears to be taking the most active steps in winding down trading – indicating it would stop cryptocurrency deposits at a time when Huobi and OKCoin say they aim to continue crypto-to-crypto trading.

BTCC went on to add that its other domestic services, including its mining pool, are not affected by the announcement.

Edit: By the way we touched $4200 in BTC, get ready for the big dive dooown! (my opinion, I'm 100% on sidelines right now)

There is very little news that can come out now that will cause a huge dive down

also last time BTC was at $4200 BCH was around $540 so which is going down

Damn, I made account there for nothing then! *lol* Looks like Coinfloor will be then. Tongue

Have you ever used coinfloor and are they any good ?

I know they are a UK exchange which is better for me since i'm guessing that they will pay in GBP (are you from the UK ?)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325676.0

I understand Nefario may no longer be at Coinfloor. However, their founding had him in a significant role. I wouldn't trust their judgement, personally.

If China bans mining, what happens to Jihan's operations?  Is Jihan in China or HK?

Wouldn't he be up the creek if he got shut down?  Wouldn't that crush BCC?

Bitmain is in china the same as ViaBTC and BTCtop (All the main supporters are)

Very bullish. Jihan says "flippening".

Jihan talks shit

We have now distributed corresponding Bitcoin Cash (BCH) balances to those of our customers who chose to leave their BTC on our platform at the time of the fork. An equal quantity of BCH is now available for withdrawal

We still going up...grab em cheap while you can  Cool

Yeh its pretty surprising so much volume is still going through with so little time to go.  Maybe trading will cease but users will still be able to withdraw later.
Just thinking...
what if they dont close? hmm
What if china based exchanges move location? hmm

If they did then there would still be no CNY trading so would be just crypto<>crypto the only advantage chinese exchanges have in china is the ability to trade fiat<>crypto
crypto - crypto sounds fine to me, lol

also , what if exchanges outside of china want to trade in cny...can they be stopped? i dont think so, but not sure.

Would still needs a chinese bank account which would not be authorised and probably would just be closed if used for this purpose

They stole everyone's bitcoin cash and sold it?  Shocked

What gives them authority to make selling decisions on behalf of those who use the service?

They robbed those people their opportunity and right to bitcoin cash.

No they gave them extra bitcoin its like me sending you some euro's and you getting dollars from the bank and saying the bank stole your euro's

Local bitcoins compensates users by selling BTH for BTC

Over the past few weeks, many Bitcoin Cash (BCH) supporters wondered when the peer-to-peer trading platform Localbitcoins would release BCH funds to users who left bitcoin on the exchange before the August 1 split. On September 25 the organization revealed it sold the BCH funds and will be compensating users in bitcoin.

LocalBitcoins has decided against supporting Bcash, for various reasons. Our primary focus is to provide easy access and global liquidity for Bitcoin and to ensure the security of Bitcoins held in customer accounts. Adding support to an alternative cryptocurrency that shares address space with Bitcoin would have significantly shifted resources away from this main focus. We believe supporting Bcash would create confusion and complicated situations e.g. due to the possibilty of sending Bitcoins to Bcash addresses, which would result in extra hassle and possibly loss of funds for our customers.

china overall has very low volume ...so the china effect is becoming weaker everyday.

Im more surprised at the, silence,lol....i check many forums, threads , daily...and tbh ive not saw things this quiet for a very long time...

For me, i think many have shorted, waiting for cheap coin and will soon regret it and end up with less coin  Cheesy

<---buying  Cool

Yea its quite low but still well within the millions exept ViaBTC but I would have thought all would be well under a million by now especially when the sites close at the end of the month

I mean ViaBTC site closes in ~4days and still trading well over half a million  that seems quite a lot for being that close to the deadline

Are users able to get their funds back  ?

If a users withdraws from the exchange then they will own fiat or crypto that can be used anywhere but I don't know what will happen with anything still on the exchange when it closes I would have thought most if not all would have got everything out by now

I gots a feeling that many are waiting for more huge dumps from china... Tongue
well imo....we going to see huge rises over the course of the week, as the big china dumps have happened. Smiley

I'm supprised just how much the Chinese exchanges are still trading I would have thought that the best part would have dried up by now

Brand New Bitcoin Cash Website Just Lainched — Bitcoin Cash brings sound money to the world, fulfilling the original promise of Bitcoin as "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash". Merchants and users are empowered with low fees and reliable confirmations. The future shines brightly with unrestricted growth, global adoption, permissionless innovation, and decentralized development. https://t.co/EO2m2hJJ5j

Is it really that hard to type https://www.BitcoinCash.org that you have to use the t.co address? I hate these URL shortenings services. I want to know where the hell a link I click on is taking me! URL shortenings are completely idiotic! Specially in a forum like this, they serve no purpose at all but only to hide the actual URL link.

URL Shorterners can be used to track people that visit the link but when it just goes straight to a standard URL then yes its stupid
Yes I have a URL short link for my amazon ones below in the signature but these are the links that amazon generates for me and looks better that having a huge line of variables

^this next fork is dangerous for btc...if things dont go well....
bch will be the first/popular coin for hedging

btw we still going up guys  Smiley

Not really I still see this as being dead on day 1

Ive not looked once into how the mining will work i'm guessing there will be no contingency plan for if there is no miner support from day 1 so unless its able to be dual mined with the core chain then I can't see it even getting started without a huge starting value

Like I said i've not looked and don't care enough to look at how mining is going to work so what I just said could be a non issue
tbh, niether have i, i dont care about segwit1 , so def wont care about seg2 lol
its just from what i hear now and again, that no replay protection is bad and i got no idea who or why they are doing this...maybe they want to mess up btc txs.

Its not that no replay protection is bad for either coin it does not impact the performance of either in any way the only issue is that if the S2X chain does take off and gain value then anyone pre fork can stand to loose money by sending both coins instead of just the one intended.

If the S2x chain just does a straight fork with no adjustment to the difficulty and there is no code implemented to make a rapid change to this then the S2x chain will need to gain a huge value at least rivalling the core chain just to attract miners in order survive unless it can be dual mined

Anyone got news about bitcoin hard fork in November, confirmation, another Bitcoin???
Much appreciated

It has all the makings of a perfect shit storm. Very weak replay protection implemented on both sides. If you thought claiming your bitcoin cash was complicated, if two distinct chains are established between Core and segwit2x, it's going to be real difficult to avoid replay unless you don't move coins at all.

Just to add to this if you do try to split ONLY move to another wallet you have the keys for DO NOT try to make your first transaction on ANY chain to an exchange or similar

So safest best is to wait maybe a few days-week after the hardfork for things to settle, and then move your coin to either an exchange or another bitcoin wallet???
Much appreciated again.

I would get a Trezor and move all of your BTC to those private keys and wait for Slush to come up with an easy solution. (Just a personal preference though.)

I second that get a trezor its the best HW wallet around IMHO (There is a link in my signature if you want to buy one from amazon)

And no you should move them to another address/wallet that you own first before moving to an exchange that way if the other chain does get replayed you will still have both coins

Once both chains are successfully confirmed as being on different addresses then you may transfer to an exchange if you want to sell

True, but I'm done with you guys, have fun, and happy trading

You keep saying that over and over but still keep coming back a few days or a week or so later
