Nothing out of the ordinary here. It would have been suspicious of the accounts were sending merits to each other, or the beneficiary of the merit thread was sending his smerits to his alts. From what I can see there is no foul play here. I guess it’s been long you visited meta, it’s no secret that The Sceptical Chymist has an open review offer for members with ranks below legendary, and lots of members flood his dm asking for reviews. I believe he gives about 50 merits per user a month.

I think there were two breaking points in the Manchester United - Leeds game.

One of them was Garnacho's absolute goal chance after feint against the goalkeeper. His attempt was cleared amazingly by Wober. If Manchester United scored there maybe they would have made the score 2-1 also. The other breaking point was Leeds' free-kick with Aaronson which hit the goal post. If that ended up with a goal then Leeds were going to make the score 3-1. Leeds' second goal was really unlucky for Manchester United also by the way. If the ball didn't hit Varane and changed its direction maybe there would have still been a hope for a win for Manchester United.
Leeds were very impressive in the game against Manchester United and they deserved to win the game, luckily Manchester United were quick to react at 2 nil down to get two goals back and finish the game in a 2-2 draw at full time. I am expecting more drama in the second leg meeting in the weekend and I think that with Casemiro and Eriksen's absence it will be difficult for United to control and hold possession in the midfield.

The history of club has also become one of the main reason that affected the decision that will be taken by a player. Osimhen may perform so well in napoli right now but he must also think about his career. If osimhen can perform even better in EPL and that will be so good rather than stay even longer in serie a. His salary will also increase compared to when he was playing in the old club. I think that even when chelsea can't qualify for UCL and that's not a problem.
Todd has been spending lots of money for gambling purpose not for this season but upcoming seasons. Almost all of new players are young players which were under 25 years old. it's a long term project but i don't know how todd being manipulated to buy the new players as high as he can.
At Napoli, Victor Osimhen might be having the best season of his career now but playing for a top club in the premier league feel a lot better and comes with more challenges as well as more exposure and recognition. Imagine Osimhen playing for a team like Manchester city, Arsenal, Manchester United or Chelsea he will be getting a better pay and recognition. I’d like to see if Manchester United can make something out of this transfer in the summer.

Leicester City vs Tottenham would be an interesting game, I'm hopeful Spurs will come into this game showing much confidence against Leicesterand considering the current status of both teams Spurs have a better chance but the fact that Liecester is playing at home makes it a difficult one for Spurs.

Rashford has scored 14 goals in 11 games, making him the Manchester United player with the most goals this season. Woba is a good defender because he prevented Fernandes from scoring when the goalkeeper was absent. At the moment, Leeds is playing a very highly defensive game, which leaves Rashford and Fernandes looking for a chance to score, while Manchester United is trying desperately to score by creating opportunities. the game is becoming more interesting the table has turned and more pressure is coming from manchester united.
Rashford has indeed been outstanding this season, his transformation under Erik Ten Hag this season is shocking he is scoring in almost every game now  a much better form than the previous season Erik Ten Hag has made positive impact of the players including Marcus Rashford who is leading as United's top scorer this season.

I was wondering in winter transfer window why Real Madrid doesn't try to signing new strikers because i think if Real Madrid bought at least one player probably they will solved this problem

There is no news about the policy taken by Real Madrid regarding transfers. The last rumor is Belingham which is in demand by Anceloti. But the news just evaporated. Actually, I am also waiting for the moment for this, because they are currently the right time to regenerate players who are getting old. Especially in the striker position. I don't really understand if they put it all in place to buy Mbaape? It became a mystery. They should be able to use this season to buy some of the players they need.
I feel Real Madrid will be active again in the summer and by that time it will be much easier to go for Jude Bellingham because the season will be over and Dortmund will also have enough time to find a suitable replacement for him if they can close the deal. Madrid will also have enough time to search for the kind of striker they want to replace Karim Benzema in center forward position next season.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 08, 2023, 11:43:00 PM
I think that Barcelona did the right thing by not trying to make big signings in the January transfer window.

Because I don't believe that there was any need for such transfers for them. They have a solid squad already and the Lewandowski transfer has made a big impact for the team also. Besides their financial situation and FFP were also seeming like hindrances to their bringing more players by spending so much money in this transfer window. They are already in big debt now and they should focus on making up for it in time. This can happen easier if they have as much successful season as possible. Winning the La Liga title is essential for them now.
Barcelona have a good and stable squad, the team is neither lacking in numbers so I least expected more signings for Barcelona and I think with the current squad they can carry on until the end of the season. Indeed Lewandowski's transfer made a huge impact on the team's performance, they have improved their attack and are getting many goals this season. It will do so much good to the club financially if they can win the Laliga title.

I still can't comprehend the cause of the poor performances with Liverpool. The last game they got humiliated by wolves, the expression on Klopp's face alone tells how much he is suprised at the team's performance and poor results. Everything seems not to be working anymore for Klopp, could this be that the end of his Liverpool reign is near? Very soon the club management will lose their faith in him and make a harsh decision.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 08, 2023, 10:56:13 PM

Leao is still cheap but the problem is there are rumors that are being said that if chelsea is willing to buy osimhen at any price. That means chelsea is ready to spend hundreds of millions pounds again for osimhen from napoli which is very crazy if such a thing will be real. Chelsea has signed nkuku from leipzig and so what's a point of buying another striker again? So many playerd didn't even get regular time to play. How can chelsea be thinking adding more players are the best choice to bounce the performance from the club?
I think that todd must be using his sense. He is thinking like playing the football manager game where he can buy any players like that.

There are some things that makes me feel doubt

1. Chelsea has been linked with luis enrique as a potential replacement for potter
2. Chelsea has been recruiting rugby's coach and what is this for? I guess todd was thinking bringing rugby's coach to boost the mentality of the players is the best choice. *LMAO

Chelsea are going crazy with these transfer dealings. It is good to see club owners investing in their teams but this is beyond what I regard as fair spending. This kind of spending causes inflation in the transfer market as every other club will want to hype up the value of their players too. Imagine Chelsea wanting to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli with Napoli aware they signed Enzo Fernandez for a whopping 100m plus, the price of Osimhen will be above 150 million then.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 08, 2023, 10:20:11 PM

Nunez and Gakpo are young talented players. They have been recruited into the team after long planning. Now these two players are not playing well. They are also missing out on easy opportunities. As they gradually become more experienced, their performance may stabilize. But Liverpool's match strategy also has problems with Jurgen Klopp not doing his job properly.

Perhaps Liverpool is still missing Sadio Mane. Liverpool's biggest mistake this season was deciding to sell Mane without finding a suitable replacement. And because of this mistake, Liverpool's situation is still unstable.
When Nunez and Gakpo arrived at Liverpool I had no doubts that they will immediately make an impact in the team but until now the team is still struggling to win games or even get a draw. Their last game ended in a 3 nil humiliating defeat to Wolves, I think the pressure on Klopp is increasing and drawing close, if the poor results keep coming then I doubt seeing Klopp continue as Liverpool coach until the end of the season

Liverpool were not in good condition when they faced Real Madrid in the Champions League, even though Real Madrid's results were also unsatisfactory in La Liga a few previous matches, the Liverpool trio at this time had not developed at all and even had difficulty scoring goals in the Premier League. The quality of Liverpool's play this season is quite different when Mane was still at Liverpool, if you pay attention to last season the number of goals scored by Muhammad Salah is indeed extraordinary, but now Salah's sharpness in scoring goals has disappeared even from 10 matches he was only able to score 4 goals.

While Darwin Nunez and Gakpo are unreliable by Jurgen Klopp, because they don't have much experience playing in the Champions League and even in the Premier League they haven't adapted well in the main squad. I think Liverpool will struggle to face Real Madrid in the last 16, even though the first leg will be at Anfield.
Real Madrid are in better shape than Liverpool, I can barely recognise this current Liverpool team this season. Real Madrid are also not so good, their la liga performance hasn’t been that great but I believe they will step up in the Champions league competition, I will be expecting a win from Real Madrid in that fixture.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 08, 2023, 10:06:18 PM
Real Madrid want to rely on Benzema for each matches but Benzema was often to get injured and this makes Real Madrid cannot played him even during this season Benzema only can played him 12 times and Ancelotti was attempts to experiment with played other player such as Rodrygo as the replacement of Benzema but his performance doesn't really good and this is the risk when some of particular clubs always be rely on one player because if those players got injured the performance of those clubs will automatically decline

I was wondering in winter transfer window why Real Madrid doesn't try to signing new strikers because i think if Real Madrid bought at least one player probably they will solved this problem
At this time of Benzema's career it will be difficult to completely rely on him to carry the team because he is aged and obviously becoming prone to injuries, the best move for Ancelloti now is to find a suitable replacement for Benzema in the summer since the transfer window is already closed. There are still so many options in the market in that position, Real Madrid could try making a deal for Victor Osimhen in the summer.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 08, 2023, 09:57:29 PM

Real Madrid want to keep Asensio, but with no guarantee that they can offer him the playing time that he wants, he could be set to move from the club. I know that Arteta want to add quality to his squad but like Asensio isn’t a type of player you can convince to come sit on the bench in a team like Arsenal. He wants to play in every game and there is Bukayo Saka, the main man who has been giving Arsenal that quality and top performance this season. In as much as Arsenal want to bolster their young attack with some experience and quality, there are some players who Arteta can’t bring to the team.

Real Madrid have many options in the midfield role at the moment and with the large number of midfielders it will be difficult to field every player or give every player the much wanted playing time, at Arsenal he might have not as much game time as he will want because Bukayo Saka is dominating that right wing position and has been consistent for more than two seasons now so the only way he will fit in for Arsenal is to play as a backup player to Saka except maybe Saka gets injured or drops in form.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 07, 2023, 06:14:09 PM
Real Madrid's decline in form this season is becoming a concern and slowly they are falling out of the race for the league trophy this seaso. Barcelona have extended the point gap to 8 points after winning Sevilla. To make things worse, the absence of Karim Benzema also affected the team’s performance. With Barcelona's current form I think it will be difficult for Real Madrid to catch up.

tottenham played very well and were careful, they deserved a narrow 1-0 win against man city. btw newcastle failed to maintain their position in the top 3 because they had to be held to a draw by west ham, but I salute newcastle, they managed to be in the top 5 even though there were no expensive player purchases, it seems Howe is a good coach.
It seems to me Antonio Conte has become comfortable playing against Guardiola. Tottenham seems to have found the secret to beating Manchester City, the first leg meeting started in same fashion but Tottenham lost focus and couldn't secure their two goal lead but the learnt their lessons and completed the job perfectly this time. Thanks to Tottenham Arsenal maintains their 5 points lead.
I guess you are a Tottenham fan lol, however I agree with you, Antonio Conte seems to have learned a lot from their defeat when they met Man City a few weeks ago, this is proven by the fact that the majority of attacks carried out by Man City can be easily broken by Tottenham. if this positive result can be maintained conte then we will see tottenham can finish in the top 4 until the end of the season.
Nah I’m not a Tottenham fan. I really wasn’t expecting Tottenham to win, after Arsenal lost to Everton I expected that Manchester City will go all out against Tottenham to close up the gap from Arsenal in the league table but City failed to get all three points against Tottenham. Arsenal were fortunate to have benefited this turnaround.

Manchester City missed a great opportunity.  Manchester City should have beaten Tottenham in the week Arsenal lost points, but they lost 1-0 at the end of the match.  In this way, the point gap still remains the same and Manchester United and Tottenham, who closed this week with 3 points, gained an advantage.

Sunday's transfer gossip:

England defender Harry Maguire, 29, and Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay, 26, will lead an exodus of six big-name players at Manchester United this summer. What is happening at Manchester United?
Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan have made enquiries about Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 33, following his omission from Chelsea's Champions League squad. There is a huge interest in Aubameyang from several clubs and I really don't understand why Chelsea want to get rid of him.
Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs that have shown interest in Barcelona's 20-year-old Spain forward Ansu Fati, but Bayern Munich are most keen. Will Barcelona really let such a young and talented footballer leave the club?
Tottenham could make use of good relations with Atletico Madrid to sign Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco, 29, and 30-year-old Slovenia goalkeeper Jan Oblak. It seems that big changes are coming to Atletico at the end of this season, and the possible departure of the long-time coach. What future awaits them?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/64524764
Any developments on Harry Maguire and Mc Tominay will have to come in the summer, I don't think Barcelona will be willing to let Ansu Fati go at the stage of his career, they still value him as a huge priced asset and will want to keep him at the club. A move for Aubameyang is most certain after the recent developments in Chelsea where he was removed from the Champions league squad, his form has dropped so badly that he barely makes contributions in games that is why Chelsea are ready to let him go.

I understand what OP is trying to do and I appreciate his efforts especially since he spent money to achieve this. But I don’t think people will take these stickers seriously as you hope they would. Those who read it will think there is a catch afterall nothing is free in this world. A better approach would be the use of social media to spread your message, you can engage more people in discussions and correct any misunderstandings they might have toward your message.

What’s funny is that all the url links are actually from one thread. He just separated them for some reason. I think newbies want to rank up so fast that they take up these roles or should I say tutor persona to gain merit. I’d give the OP a month and see if he doesn’t end up doing something that’s going to get him a perma ban.

I disagree and disregard whoever that says the win Everton had against Arsenal was luck yesterday
This is not true rather the person has low understanding of football
Sean Dyche deserve to be manager of the week
The truth is Everton were very prepared to face Arsenal. They played well and I didn’t expect that because they just changed managers, I thought I would see an unstable side but Everton showed how important this win meant to them and the new manager will hope to build on this win going forward. It was a disappointing loss for Arteta, this is a good time to keep the team together and focus on the games ahead.
