1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does the CHIA (XCH) coin still have growth potential? on: January 08, 2024, 07:16:22 PM
Right now the coin is roughly trending at 1/6th ($35) of your average buying price and I don't think it will have much in store as it has been on declining trend though the ATH looks incredible but I would still suggest you to hodl on to this coin instead of selling it at loss. We never know when the market will rebound and when it might be the day of CHIA coin as we have seen in these years some of the coins have pumped atleast for few days in couple of years, to be on a safer end have a sell order in placed with a handful profit rather than selling for peanuts.
1082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does inactive users deserve merits? on: January 08, 2024, 06:57:23 PM
Obviously, Yes they deserve merits if their post is helpful and qualifies for one because we don't have to see if the user is active or inactive rather we need to see the quality of post and how helpful is it for us. I would definitely provide merits to such if I find them useful and don't be bothered checking whether the user is active or inactive.
1083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ESSENTIALLY SIMPLE TRADING FACTORS THAT EVERY TRADER SHOULD CONSIDER on: January 08, 2024, 06:54:15 PM
1. DISCIPLINE

You would definitely needing this:

Discipline on when to take a profit
Discipline on when to hold your position
Discipline on handling or managing your trading capital
Discipline on sticking into your plans

Other factors above mentioned are really that something that a standard thing on which it is something that you would be needing for you to survive this unpredictable space.
There's no way that you could really be able to handle yourself that easily but on the time that you would really be able to do so then you had already
been able to learn up those things which are mentioned above which it is really just that standard.

Yes, Discipline is something which can make you a profitable trader but unfortunately we don't see many traders being disciplined except those who are in the industry for longer period of time and indeed they are successful, we have often seen people gaining huge amount sometimes due to unexpected pump of shit coins like it happened with coins like pepe but they lose it all in trading because they are not disciplined.

I would say discipline is the most important aspect of trading and I have a set of standard operating procedure which will have all the points you have mentioned under the discipline, though I have struggled in the past to adhere as emotions sometimes takes better control over us but we gotta master this if we want to survive.
1084  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crime and the society on: January 08, 2024, 06:17:34 PM
Never seen such topic which says crime is positive ? I mean how can someone say crime is necessary to bring in social change ? It's a common sense that it's either greedy or circumstances which forces people into committing crime regardless of circumstances crime cannot be justified and rather we should focus on controlling the crime and eradicating it by figuring out the root cause. Some study should be conducted to know what is pushing them to commit crime and then hold the relevant department responsible and work around to fix it. Crime is never good it's evil.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Uniswap reaping people off on: January 08, 2024, 05:48:17 PM
That's how ETH network works and as the cost of transactions are higher due to higher gas fee in DEXs and now that's the area where centralized exchanges has advantage as the transaction fee is way too lower compared to DEX and to be honest most of the casual users or short term investors will prefer CEX over DEX for this particular reason and thus you will see most of those who do regular trading or smaller transactions do not use DEX but if you are trading huge amount and don't want any trouble of centralization then DEX is the best option. Unfortunately that's how it works.
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term corrections could be detrimental. on: January 08, 2024, 04:46:42 PM
Not sure if you have noticed or not there is a correlation between altcoins dumping hard and Bitcoin pumping as Altcoins overachieved their rally when Bitcoin's movement was relatively lesser and now since there is a correction phase which Altcoin is witnessing the funds which moved into market to Altcoin have started shifting to Bitcoin as it would take years for the loses to be recovered in Altcoins and most of the time if you lose money in Altcoins you don't recover it ever.

ETF approval or rejection is a temporary thing which might have mild effect or more impact but not for a longer period of time.
1087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 08, 2024, 04:21:57 PM
I would rather blame the corrupt politicians and businessmen for this chaos which Nigeria has fallen into and everyone is aware about the kind of mineral wealth on which Nigeria is currently sitting atop, it's pretty obvious that former masters have fair share of evil deeds which are done and the way Nigeria is being exploited but who is letting this happen? It's the top elite in power and they are exploited entire population and betraying their nation for the administrative post which has been gifted by them hence we cannot entirely blame the foreign power when we have traitors amongst us.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What triggers the zeal to invest? on: January 08, 2024, 04:00:18 PM
There are people I knew that are into crypto investments before me and I was motivated to know about crypto too, fortunately it feels like something that I can fit in with very well, from what Bitcoin has to offer those who seek for freedom from their rulers to the idea of making more money because of Bitcoin scarcity mechanism, it makes a lot of sense to be in Bitcoin than anything else.

I believe that Bitcoin will have a better value in the future and I don't plan on missing out the future possibility, Bitcoin is a good store of value for the long term, this is a big part why many people are investing money on Bitcoin, just make sure you risk what you can afford to lose, nothing is guaranteed, anything is bound to happen.

There are often cases where people who are aware of Bitcoin before us didn't buy the idea of Bitcoin and right now they are left behind but those who has believed in Bitcoin are in much better situation provided if they had invested into Bitcoin because we need to understand the difference between not believing in Bitcoin and not having enough money to invest into Bitcoin as there are few who believe in Bitcoin but due to their limited income they cannot afford to invest as they can hardly have sufficient amount to feed their family as I have read one such story from a mason from Bangladesh.

When it comes to bitcoin the risk of losing it all is very minimal compared to Altcoins.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 07, 2024, 11:58:20 AM
Bitcoin doesn't need any introduction now as most of us are aware of Bitcoin but rather we need to find suitable reason for people to adopt to Bitcoin and i remember during early days I used to pitch people by showcasing then the benefits of Bitcoin as P2P transfer without third part and without higher charges but now there are much better options availing market for P2P transfer hence it should be a mix approach of investment cum P2P transfer method but now people are more profit oriented and looking for something which can make hem rich overnight hence it would be a bit of challenge to get new users onboard as they are just keep on profits.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT Crypto Games 2024 discussion on: January 07, 2024, 11:39:15 AM
All the best for you but I am done with NFT and memecoins, I didn't had a good experience with NFT in the past and regardless of the hype the project just dies and majority of NFT tokens don't breach their initial ATH and to be honest I would rather invest in something which offers real life solutions rather than VR or gaming related solutions which is of no use expect for some die hard gamers. I will take a pause this time from both meme and NFT.
1091  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption in Nigeria as a Problem of Economic Growth and Development on: January 07, 2024, 11:16:27 AM
Ths is rather a global issue it's happens with most of the countries and not limited to just Nigeria and moreover if you try figuring out who is responsible it's the general public who vote the corrupt people to power just because they are from same race, ethnicity or religion rather than voting based on merits. I think this issue would resolve only when everyone takes a pledge to development their nation and work for public without corruption which is not possible to be honest. Only an honest leader can save the nations from corruption.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which upcoming DEX are you looking at in 2024? on: January 07, 2024, 11:06:24 AM
I don't have much experience with DEX and I have been trading mostly in the centralized exchanges but I have used Pancakeswap and Uniswap and I am sure most of us would have used these two DEX and don't have much valid reason to look after another DEX. But in upcoming days more people including myself will be migrating to DEX if centralized exchanges keep following the instructions from the regulators.
1093  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 07, 2024, 10:14:35 AM
I've read quite a few threads about self-control, budget management, and more in this forum. The content in these threads is indeed helpful for newcomers, but it seems like there are already too many threads like this here. Honestly, it makes me bored.

Many people tend to lose control when they experience big wins or losses. Yeah... the emotions from the mind usually influence them to become greedy or vengeful. Any limits won't be of any use, so it's basically nonsense for people like them.

Wise individuals will stay wise in gambling, and that's an advantage not many people possess. Without you teaching them to set limits, they're already doing it automatically.

We need to set a clear expectation that when it comes to gambling one person's gain is another person's loss and vice versa this we cannot plan much here when it comes to tactics but yeah the only thing which we control over here is the amount of isk which we want to take as it should only be the amount we can afford to use and if we win there should be a percentage which should be reinvested rest should be saved if we can create an strategy around it then we can conquer the emotions and act like machine.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: have anyone notice this $btcinu on: January 07, 2024, 10:02:27 AM
Don't even have to do any detailed research about this project as the name suggests this is one of the thousands of shit coins aka meme coin trying to scam people. I guess you are doing shill marketing for this project because from their site it's quiet evident that they are here for money. But such scam projects should understand that people can no longer be fooled with such projects.
1095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good thing about your government? on: January 07, 2024, 09:43:44 AM
While basic education and health care are free, I should be okay with all of those and grateful with what the government provides to us.

I am one of those that have enjoyed the basic and free education and with the other services even if I won't be the one to take all of those free ones or with subsidies but as long as I see people get to enjoy it, I'm already happ where my taxes are going.
For me, I don't blame the government for not doing what they are supposed to be doing since I am always responsible for my own actions. It is high time we understand what limit we should put ourselves so that we don't allow little things to make us to go into crime because the government is not doing accordingly to the obligation that is meant to be enforced. We need to stay responsible by all means and keep doing what will bring us good fortunes rather than keep blaming the government for it worse nightmares.

It's not a matter of blaming government or any other institution but rather checking out what they could do better compared to other developed nations and what they have done good as well. I know it's in the hand of citizens to thrive and work towards betterment of self and nation but in some nations you have restrictions on everything and cannot even do good for people openly as government wants the credit for it. But having said that the best we expect from any government would be free or affordable healthcare, education and minimal wages, and safety of lives and properties which is protection.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your predictions for the state of Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 06, 2024, 07:26:53 PM
2024 was a better year for Bitcoin as we have seen more than 150% increase in the price of Bitcoin hence not sure why are you referring to 2023 as a much worse year because it doesn't make sense. As far as 2024 is concerned we have entered new year with positive notes with just one dip we have seen so far and hope this year would be better but I think this year we should accumulate Bitcoin until we finally enter the bull run. My predictions for 2024 is neither bullish nor bearish rather it would be last opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Royal Shiba , Next meme king ! on: January 06, 2024, 06:52:02 PM
When will we finally get rid off this memecoin madness, there has been hundreds and thousands of memecoin appearing in the market but hardly any of them make it to mainstream and people still make scam projects by adding names like shiba inu, doge and pepe to the end of the coin and mark my work as they are designated to fail. I feel we should understand that there are already a lot of memecoin and we need to move on from memecoin and spend our precious time in looking out for genuine projects.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solana - Is it still good to buy or it's FOMO on: January 06, 2024, 06:35:44 PM
I think the pump is enough now , after few weeks of continues increase last december now it shows red marking in market

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solana/

and I think this will be going down to what is the regular price before the increase last year?

so If you are planning to buy more then better to consider sooner when the value drops good for Buy low Sell high strategy .
We are in the altcoin season. I usually don't make strict predictions as anything can happen, but as a someone who has been in this scene for a long time, something really bad should happen at this point in order to sol go back to $20, which i am assuming you mean by last year's regular price. Also what do you mean sooner? Sooner then it hits 20? That's literally buying high according to your prediction.

Whole market is just reacting to BTC EFT rejection. It's normal and we'll get over it after a whlle.

I want to consider it a mini-altseason as the bitcoin price is still under its previous ATH. So the mega altseason that everybody is waiting for will come once bitcoin makes a new previous ATH and its price becomes stable in there for a few weeks. At this time money will flow from bitcoin to major altcoins and from there to low-cap tokens. This is the most common scenario every year and i am expecting this to happen this time as well. But in terms of the price of SOL i think it will be wise to book some profits in here and reinvest them in projects that still haven't made any significant gains.

Yes, that the idle scenarios but I think SOL is kind of stable now and I doubt we would be able to book any profit at the moment as Solana's rally has comes to pause though this was not an actual bull season for Altcoin because the real one will start only post Bitcoin bull run. But it's time to figure out the next altcoin which will follow the footstep of SOL but not an easy task.
1099  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: January 06, 2024, 06:12:45 PM
There will always be manipulations in the short term, mainly by brokers to capture money from people who operate under leverage.

This is truly a money-making machine for those who have a lot of money, as is the case with cryptocurrency brokers.

Yes unfortunately that's how the market operates, manipulations has been there and will always be there and it's upto us to decide whether we want to hodl on or reach and panic sell during the fluctuations and this varies from a person to person based on their requirement because a trader will follow the market trend and react quickly to stay on top of the profits while long term investors will not be bothered to make any move and short term investors might react but the ones leveraging will end up losing it all.
1100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you ready for crypto investing in 2024? on: January 06, 2024, 05:54:46 PM
2024 will bring more excitement for crypto because of the upcoming big events that are bound to happen this year  so I will always be eager to invest and maximize my bitcoin accumulation regardless of its current high price. But if given the chance that bitcoin will drop its price deeply and will fall below $40k, I think that will create more opportunities for us to be highly profitable in the future while we continue to accumulate and maximize our bitcoin portfolio through DCA.

DCA is the way forward, and yes there are events like bitcoin halving and spot ETF lined up which will give boost to the Bitcoin price and at the same time when market remains highly positive the best we can do is to accumulate Bitcoin as much as possible. Just need to keep in mind that we are betting on 2024 but rather 2025 could be the bullish year if we follow the pattern of last two bull runs as they started the next year from the time halving took place. I am positive about market even if it goes either ways if it pumps then it's good if it dumps then we should consider that as time for Bitcoin accumulation.
