1081  Economy / Services / Re: Duelbits KYC Verification (only experimented) on: October 06, 2023, 01:36:49 PM
OP if you pay for someone to pass KYC for you from this platform will your account login IP read the same as the persons own login IP? Even if the person uses VPN to login that would make it worse because your account is accustomed to one particular login IP and therefore, you will be called to answer some question. If I am not mistaken, from the looks you seems to sound like someone already using VPN to login and maybe you are from a restricted place and not allowed to play with the casino. I hope you know the consequences of what you are doing and you are ready to take in fate anything that comes up as a result of your actions. Do not come complaining that Duelbits scammed you of your funds when what you have planned backfires.
1082  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: BUA reduce price of cement. A new strategy to end monopoly. on: October 06, 2023, 11:14:59 AM
After I read this news online with the circular, many thoughts came over me and I was wondering what prompted this action from this man because I believe something must have made him to do this. For him to have taken this measures to drastically cut down the price in the cost of his product then it means the price of cement is far cheaper than what they sell which shows that  the price hike was intentional and were bent on imposing high price on their commodity because they are just few in the line of business and as such would have the market dominance and nobody to compete with them.

1084  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Ghana preparing to supply Nigeria electricity. on: October 06, 2023, 08:32:12 AM
Finance I think is not the cause of our power shortage here in Nigeria as our government allocates huge fund to the power sector

I will point to production, not transmission. I will use four other countries for comparison. Production will also be proportional to transmission.

Nigeria population according to 2021 estimate: 213.4 million
Ghana population according to 2021 estimate: 32.83 million
South Africa population according to 2021 estimate: 59.39 million
Morocco population according to 2021 estimate: 37.08 million
Côte d'Ivoire population according to 2018 estimate: 27.48 million

Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and the sixth in the world. Which means we need more electricity. You will be surprised by this:

Electricity production in Nigeria as of March 2023, 8,607 GWh
Electricity production in Ghana as of December 2021, 22,051 GWh
Electricity production in South Africa as of July 2023, 19,844 GWh
Electricity production in Morocco as of December 2021, 40,512 GWh
Electricity production in Côte d'Ivoire as of March 2023, 8,607 GWh

If you want to do more comparing to the electricity suffering in Nigeria, this is the link: https://www.ceicdata.com/en/indicator/nigeria/electricity-production#:~:text=Key%20information%20about%20Nigeria%20Electricity,Mar%202005%20to%20Mar%202023.

Our governments are not trying at all. Or maybe it is mismanagement or the government is not funding power sector appropriately, it is left to them.

From this analysis, I was ashamed that our country has misplaced priority, and is not as if they are not aware of all these defaults, am very sure they know but they don't care. just imagine Nigeria being the sixth and most populated country in the world and also in Africa and we are still obviously putting ourselves to shame just look at the amount of electricity produced just 8,607 GWh just imagine even places like China that have a larger population, still produces good services to their citizens, look at morocco producing 40,000 GWh our country has supposed to have increased the production of electricity, I can not really remember but this issue has been discussed before in the house of assembly and still nothing have been done since it was discussed.

The National house does not even care about that aspect of the national concern as it relates to the ordinary citizens of the nation. All they care is passing bills that can favour them when it comes to sharing  of money. They are not bothered because they get allowance for diesel or possibly fuel so they power their plants and generators to supply them constant power supply in their various houses.

Our nation really does not prioritize power supply because if they do, Nigeria would have long passed this stage of electricity outage and what we could be aiming for is industrialization and attracting industries to our country for the fact that we have resolved the issues  of power supply because that is what most mega industries look into before choosing a country to establish their high powered factories.

Looking at the statistics, you would definitely call this nation a joke. A nation known as the highest populous black nation which should be aware that the electricity demand would be very much high and should be in the move to increase her capacity and up till now its still the same. No improvement, not even an attempt made by the Ministry, no nothing. How do they want to encourage industrialization if they can not tackle demand for power supply.
1085  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / A sudden slash in the price of cement. on: October 06, 2023, 12:27:02 AM

My country people. This na the type of news we want to dey hear every day for we country Nigeria. The rate at which building materials skyrocket no be small. This thing make people wey been dey build pause their house project. The ones dem wey want to begin to build suspend their own too as a result of the increase in the price of building materials. Wetin come to baffle me be say Naija get limestone and these cement factories dem dey for here how come the price for the cement per bag come to increase to a point wey be say the price too high to talk about.

I became curious to know the reasons behind this sudden slash in price per bag of cement by this company. After reading the circular as published by the organization, I could not see any tangible reasons but I was having this thought if they could have teamed up initially to increase the price for just no reason, and now the only best-known reasons for this company to have decided to drastically slash the price with immediate price effect all over the nation. This is a good move because it would cause others to drop prices as well and the competition would be very high among the cement producers on the other hand, would other cement producers not come for him for taking such measures because I know this would affect the rest of the other producers.

Well, I have no idea how effective it would be but I believe that this decision would make others sit up.

1086  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Ghana preparing to supply Nigeria electricity. on: October 05, 2023, 10:36:06 PM
A friend of mine went to Ghana and narrated how electricity is constant there. I have a friend that went to Tanzania and he narrated constant electricity where he stayed for over two weeks. I have a friend that went to Benin Republic that Nigeria is supplying light, they have better electricity supply and the city is known for its neatness. Countries that are less developed than us are having good electricity.

The two African countries you mentioned has been enjoying steady electricity supply for more than ten years now though Ghana may have steady supply of electricity but the chargers are too much when compared to other African countries and the saying that Nigeria has been supplying light to Benin Republic is still not clear to me because few years ago Benin Republic celebrated a good number of years of uninterrupted power supply while my country Nigeria has not experienced a 24hours of uninterrupted power supply for once. I think the information about Nigeria supplying light to Benin Republic is false because we can't be in total darkness while we are generating steady power supply to someone else that's total insane.

I am very much aware that Nigeria supplies Niger Republic electricity but that aspect of celebration is what I do not really know about but I know that of Ghana to have celebrated one week uninterrupted power supply. It is obvious that we supply to other countries and still yet we experience epileptic power supply.  We as a nation have not satisfied our own needs in terms of electricity  power supply and our the mega  stations are yet to be upgraded but the government claims to be releasing funds for that purpose and things are still the same way they are every year. No improvement, no growth, no development. All they  know is to give estimated bill, climb ladder and cut wire.
1087  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Possible scam attempt message for newbies. on: October 05, 2023, 09:03:47 PM
This matter really tire person because when them send me that kind messages to my number, them come call my line say make I send them my bank details say them dey detect issues from my bank. At first then call my name come asked whether na me be so so and so person, I come say yes then say they have been trying my number say e no dey reachable make whether I fit get chance call my card details for them say emergency dey for my bank account. Before I know them say go inside pick your atm card make we secure your account say them detect say scammer dey try withdraw money from my account say them block am but I go need to change my ATM pin immediately to avoid further damage say make i call the previous pin so that them go generate new pin for me to secure my card.

My people this story became more interesting because me self don already get the code say na scammer dey do but on the hand I wan waste their airtime to dey keep them on work, so them say are ready to call your card details and I say yes.. Na so them say oya start, I called many random numbers unstoppably till them say repeat, I still repeat another separate random numbers my people the matta became more interested them tell me saying give us the pin, I call another for random number and them say repeat I still a separate numbers till there airtime exhausted na so I say thunder fire them there.

See the thing is, we need to be smart to outsmart those scammer, infact e get one self wey send me card one time like that wey them call me, I tell am say the room where my card dey inside my people sister pikin lock am comot say I need airtime to call her to bring key so that I go send them my card details, na so de scam say how much card I need. I as good woman I tell am any amount them send is good for me, na so them send me 500 Naira card to buy my heart so that I fit happy send them my card details but immediately them send me card na so my zoom of my line go sleep first 🤣.

Those guys dem no get joy at all. Every body dey vex for this country as things don be like this wey make men don begin run things street way.  Na to open eye for them if them come your way collect them go your way like nothing happen. Dem no go think to near you again for their life because dem don learn lesson say no be everybody dem go just wake up in the morning begin call like that. E good as you teach them lesson.
1088  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Ghana preparing to supply Nigeria electricity. on: October 05, 2023, 08:32:02 PM
This has made me to have  a thought over this and I was wondering what is really the cause of our electricity gridlock and  epileptic power supply here in Nigeria. Finance I think is not the cause of our power shortage here in Nigeria as our government allocates huge fund to the power sector, Policies are made to help sustain power supply and also payment of electricity tariff which is not favorable to consumers as they complain lack of power supply and hence some do not bother complying with payment and if they do pay, they make part payment.

As my brother talk for up so, na corruption be the cause of everything and for we to get things straight na for the government to just privatized everything for the power sector for the country. The partial privatization wey dem do no dey work, make dem private the full sector and watch how things go better. I hope you know say e get some part of the country wey no dey lack light, we get places wey dey use federal light and their light dey dey like 24/7. Wetin this one mean be say the power dey but na distribution be the problem and that's because the power sector go dey lose if dem distribute the power to everybody. Na only those wey dem dey guarantee say dem go play na people wey dem dey give power and this people dey normally dey for areas wey dey use federal light like dem GRA, and prepaid meter areas dem.

Big man na this one be the another major wahala wey we dey face for Nigeria. The matter of corruption Na wetin hold Nigeria to this stage. The idea of privatisation dey okay but Na still dem go buy the power holding company. Even when dem pass back go buy dem no go fit still manage am.

As for the areas wey dey receive light I wonder the segregation, wey make the light no dey go round. only a particular location dey receive light 24/7 pass others and some too Na based on their demand for turbine as an oil rich city wey make dem give dem.   why odas just remain for power outage like that nobody fit talk when month end dem cough out NEPA bill go pay over estimated bill wey dem no consume.

Nigeria corruption Na don't tell anybody.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: next bitcoin? on: October 05, 2023, 04:46:18 PM
OP from your comment I was wondering if truly you know what you are talking about because you would not be asking such question and trying to find out if there is any comparison with bitcoin out there. To make the point clear mate there is no other coin competing or compared with bitcoin as far as blockchain is concerned. Bitcoin is the first decentralized digital currency that was founded by satoshi nakamoto for that reasons it was termed the Genesis block

As a matter of fact, you are never late to adopt bitcoin. Bitcoin is still at its early adopter stage and as such holds more potentials and price value in time to come.

You can read about the Genesis block here

This is very interesting. OP seems to forget where he or she is. Coming up with this service offer must be prepared to face scrutiny but as it stands now from all I have read here I have not really seen anything convincing for me to flow with OP. Merely looking at OP account, it is not encouraging. OP has no one to vouch for their services. Not a link to past jobs done to clear doubts on their professional engagements and this makes me more curious about the organisation.

I read where OP said he is just an employee there if he being an employee of the company that makes him part of the team and from the looks he or she should be their representative here helping to market their services.

Well, i'm a member of the company and i have the company to vouch for our services. I'm not a blockchain/bitcoin expert. My job is to offer the service and resolve initial doubts, the rest will be done over time when you see that it is no joke. This profile was created only with this purpose.
You can not be a judge in your own case neither can you bake your cake and have it at the same time OP. Maybe and external customers can vouch for your services if truly you have done jobs of this nature or possibly other job engagements you have done before maybe since this is a new job description from your organisation, others services your company have rendered could speak for itself. So why not those customers say something about them. I think you should not get things too complicated , just agree to the fact that you are their marketing manager because I see that is what you are doing here which have been said already by a member.

I have made it clear that I am here to offer this service and resolve reasonable questions. If you are not convinced by the service or want to wait for testimonials, just wait or hire us with a test wallet. I am not going to get into discussions that lead nowhere, everyone has their opinion and it is respectable, we speak with facts. Hire us and see for yourself

How do I hire you when you have no proven fact at hand to back up your claims. You can not claim to be doing this when you have no track records to present as evidence of previous works done. Do you think members here would be comfortable to do such business with you?
1091  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government Really Value Our NYSC? on: October 05, 2023, 04:05:24 PM
Government no dey joke with NYSC matter o. As a matter of fact, NYSC na army reserve. If wahala come up wey go need extra combat force more than the army to support join body, na NYSC them dey fall back to so as to fill up the gap. Naim make you dey see say NYSC dey do army drills for orientation camp because them believe say na transformation process be that wey involve conversion from civilian to military.

As for the matter wey involve kidnap of Corp Members, the security agencies should work with the local community heads and other community members  to rescue the kidnapped corp members because they are the only ones that knows the nook and crannies of their communities and the people committing such act. They know the ins and outs of their communities to assist the security agencies get to the bottom of this matter.
1092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Calm the pressure on: October 05, 2023, 02:42:27 PM
It is never advisable to borrow money to invest or start up a business. You can borrow in the course of running the business when you have seen the four walls of the business and how it works with prior experience and knowledge gained so that when appropriating funds, you know how to apply it to the business in other not to be at the losing end of it all. Same is applicable to crypto or bitcoin trading but you should have at the back of your mind that it is a high volatile asset and at such could be very risky to take such decision.

Putting yourself under pressure with anything that has to do with bitcoin and trading is nothing but a very big error because you just might put yourself in a much tight stand if the volatile nature of the market comes into full force and you are caught off guard, do you not think that is a problem for you? Not to talk of when the asset in question is borrowed with the sole intention of profit making or revenue generation.

I’d like to know what motivates you to invest in a speculative asset like Bitcoin?

Bitcoin has been existing over a decade now and has stand the test of time making it an assets worth the investment. It  started from the list price to this particular price it is trading at and so far, has been used as a store of value by many individuals and companies all over the world. It is a commodity and an exchange of value which on can use to make payment for services rendered.

What is the driving force that encourages your continuity in the Bitcointalk forum?

OP I must say this that only a scholar who knows the value of education would remain in the educative platform they have far fetched knowledge from. This platform have been so educative that the education continues with lots of new ideas and information to benefit as many that are willing to learn from it.

who do you listen to in the forum and study to keep your conviction solid?
There are lots of seasoned fellows here who have the wealth of experience and have created  impart on this platform. In their various field they have contributed immensely to the growth and development which have been speaking on their behalf even at their absence, their  contribution still speaks of great volume. Hal Finney was a major player here before his demise and so far his impart has been of good help to the platform as a whole.

irfan_pak10 first tell  he will pay Combo bounty in October and now he scamming bounty participants

take notice on this scammer

OP this is not proof enough to accuse a manager of scam. Do you think building a reputation over the years is a joke for a good manager to just wake up one day and scam bounty hunters? If he had an escrow for this project payment that would have been a different case but it seems that was not the agreement and the project team are responsible for the distribution so in that case you will need to wait till December as they have said according the link you have provided up there. Then if they fail to honor their words then it is left for them.

Congratulations on your win. It is a thing worth sharing and experience worth the time. Sometimes little things we look or see as mistakes turns out to be at advantage in our favour.

I remembered back then my school days during the champions league final between AC Milan and Liverpool. We had a little talk about the outcome which I had no much knowledge about then so I joined in betting and I did bet for AC Milan. we had already given out the money to a fellow to hold when a friend discouraged me so I went back and it almost resulted to fight because I wanted my money back or I changed it for Liverpool but they refused so I let it be. Fortunately for me the bet ended in my favour and it happens that I and one other person placed bet for AC Milan so we both split the money into two and it was a reasonable amount of money running into some thousands.
That was my first bet experience back then and it was a joyous moment for me because I won it and the money was used for important purpose to fulfill a task which was in need of money.

1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: October 05, 2023, 10:53:51 AM
^

If a gambler has no willpower to cope with his obsessive desires to beat the casino, then he will not be able to change his point of view on the account of gambling without experts and so will hover in dreams of big winnings. It is difficult to change something in life without understanding the root of the problem. And after all, the gambling addict has exactly the same lack of understanding of the problem, so he is satisfied with everything.
You are correct mate. Identifying the root of a problem would definitely help one render solutions to the problem. If the willpower is there to curtail excesses, so be it but if not, the person would still be wallowing in their addiction. Same is applicable to all walks of life. As a gambler one should see gambling as fun and as such should gamble responsibly. Casinos are business ventures and would definitely host games for fun lovers to play and entertain themselves with little tokens paid to satisfy their pleasure with the hope of winning in return. As game is concerned, there must be a winner and there must be a loser but however the case maybe, one should be able to accept the out come with fate and move on.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 05, 2023, 10:40:29 AM
In that case they decide to go beyond their budget limit just to chase their losses with mindset of winning and when doing that, they keep losing more and more and this however results to addiction and it continues that way again and again.
Responsible gamblers don't do that, it's a practice done by amateurs who don't understand how things actually work and they don't have any idea about gambling in the first place, all they have ever thought was that they can earn a lot of money from gambling and it's as easy as drinking water which is not true and when they face the reality, they just can't accept it.
A responsible gambler can take care of himself and will not exceed his budget limits. And even though they have experienced defeat, they will not try to catch up because they want to recover their lost money. They realize it is difficult to do so they may prefer to stop gambling rather than risk an even bigger loss. It won't be worth what they will get later, especially since this is gambling where they might not get a bigger chance of winning. So it's better for them to gamble casually and try to enjoy it.
Of course, responsible gamblers don't really pursue the ambition to win at gambling, they use gambling only for entertainment, and yes, responsible gamblers can always set their limits when gambling so that they don't experience too many losses.

It is difficult for someone who is addicted to gambling to do this because they always try to win at gambling even if the result is nil they will continue to try until their balance runs out. This is very detrimental to oneself because they cannot create boundaries and cannot control themselves If the person doing this is already have a family it is very possible that it will have a negative impact on their financial condition.

Maybe there are gamblers doesn't really care about winning since they are playing because they want to have fun but if you really follow them do you think you can really say you enjoy if you lose your money? I guess that happiness will not exist especially if we are low ballers and we would provably feel the pain of losing our money in quick instances. Maybe other just manage their finances while gambling can really enjoy the game but for other its hard to feel that since they are looking to win. Maybe to practice safe bets or control each unwanted scenario best for each of us to know when to quit since this is only solution for us not to get hurt much when losing and totally be happy when we win.
There's no fun on losing money
There's no fun on depleting your account balance
There's no fun on on experiencing consecutive losses

Gambling should really be for fun but people do really go into certain extent on which it isnt a must thing to be done.Staying safe while gambling? In speaking about on technical aspects then it would really be
just that common sense that you do really need to avoid on exposing on whatever account information that you do have. Dont tend to be that too open or make them aware and 2fa is a must
or something that in default specially if you do have big money inside those account balance then it would really be just that a normal approach.

Speaking about getting safe from addiction? You would really be able to do such thing if you are really that sensible towards on how you do treat up gambling.
If its for fun then its just fine but if you are really that going for making money then this is where problem begins.

Even the common sense is no longer common for some people. Sometimes you could see people and from their looks you would think they are responsible but that is far from the thought. When it comes to gambling there are such people they do not really think about the responsible aspect of it, all the think is just to target winning yes it's not a bad idea to win but when one takes it as a must, they begin to over step the boundary and become addicted all in the name of chasing wins. Those kind of people end up making huge losses forgetting that they initially started gambling for fun. That is why it is said gamble for fun and gamble responsibly.
