1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: October 17, 2019, 02:57:32 PM
snip

I heard that ADA will be moved to proof of stake ? Any idea when this will going to happen ?
When people will get reward for staking, the price of ADA will surely increase.

Arguably you have heard about staking ADA on Shelly testnet.  Reportedly in November  this year the snapshot of blockchain will happen and all ADA taken by that will be eligible for staking which  is going to be publicly open at some point of the end 2019 - beginning 2020.

Not every updated with Cardano but somehow this was introduced again to me with a feature quantum resistant project. This is the Voltaire I guess.
The price seem to have hit its bottom already, did it? $0.03 I guess is just a good price to finally make a decision on once again enter a position for this project. I'd like to believe the altcoin market had got out of this long bear market.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: October 17, 2019, 12:57:02 PM

Day trading isn't as simple as just buying low and selling high, it just doesn't work much with altcoins in my experience you got to do it in BTC/USDT. If you take a look at the SNTR today, its almost worthless coin where you can't even see updates that can make the coin spike a bit to attract traders but with BTC the price can just swing in everyday where your chances of earning is much larger.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stacking cryptocurrencies with Interest on: October 17, 2019, 12:16:53 PM
There are projects that I can trust because its backed by well known individuals in crypto but its just me, since I already got some considerable amount of coins from staking my coins. DPOS coins made me earn good amount and I'm still staking still up to now. There are several projects with almost same way for building their community. Staking makes holders hold the coins they have.

No, the interest rate is too small, if you consider the volatility of crypto currencies and possibility that we are now having a falling trend, it is not worth it at all. Firstly, if BTC drops, you would lose a lot of money by getting peanuts from the rest of your portfolio.

If you are just going to be holding anyway, why not stake them at all. It all up to the holder.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: October 16, 2019, 04:52:10 PM
Yeah
I been accumulating Alts since 2018 i guess
For 2 years i basically convert all my btc/eth to alts

I did regret for not including portion of my portfolio in BTC but lets hope for the best for alts to have a run Smiley
That was some reckless decision on converting your BTC/ETH just to buy up some alts.Asking now, what alts that you have bought?
Its much better if you did just focus on accumulating bitcoin on past 2 years than on buying alts into those times but well its your own
money which you do had the decision on how you would used it.Alts do bull run? pretty sure there is but we wont know on what would happen.
Lets hope for the best.

I was one of those who collected altcoins as well. 2018 is just not profitable for altcoins, everything is dripping down but I hold some of it including the ones I bought like the EOS which I though $8 was its bottom. Risky decision but yes its like a gamble.  But this q4 of 2019 could change its course because of the BTC support. Its possible that we can earn with altcoins, hopefully also I can get my funds back.

TRX and Holo would be a good project to invest with, its still in the top hundred and its volume is considerable good.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Didi sold everything for Bitcoin on: October 16, 2019, 04:41:05 PM

Reminds of the bitcoin couple who also travels everywhere. Though they didn't sell all for BTC, its good to know people out there courageous enough to do all these, sell everything for BTC. That is something special at least he is only 40+ unlike some people who did nothing special in their life growing old and did nothing but survive. He is a millionaire so live the dream Didi!
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US-China Trade War Makes Bitcoin More Attractive to Investors on: October 16, 2019, 04:18:17 PM
There were theories however that allegedly its the US that is behind all the protest in Hongkong. I know is not something to subscribe when its just rumors but knowing all the things happening I will actually think of its possibility, the idea isn't even from me and I have read people's comment about it. Since it always happen that when US interfere countries' internal affairs its going to end messy the only difference with China is that they can't just go interfere there.

Hongkong people are somehow buying BTC though its not really that huge as what is being told in the news site. It can be considered an amount. But as for now the US-China trade war isn't affecting but if it resulted to actual war, people will panic to buy BTC, not only the Chinese but probably all.
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright as "Bitcoin creator" at a conference in London!!! WTF??? on: October 16, 2019, 03:09:28 PM
What does Craig get for doing all these?

After 50-100 years later if he keeps doing this while this forum is active he won't be successful in providing proof. Ver and Craig are just the kind of politicians that tells stories that they know ain't true but insisting it is for they benefit thru it and they go thru all the troubles, this includes playing trick to Tone Vays and all who knows exactly the truth.
1088  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Visiting Istanbul? Cash out your bitcoin in Istanbul on: October 16, 2019, 01:14:32 PM
Metting a random person from the internet for trading Bitcoins in a foreign country is a really stupid idea and the worst way to go.
Better to use localbitcoins website and trade with verified people.

I can't imagine what could happen if things go wrong. I see myself sodomized inside a penitentiary building like the stories I've seen in TV series Lockup Abroad. You'd rather be doing it here in the forum exchange currency section of bticointalk, there are people willing to buy your coins without you having to meetup. Be safe do not do it in any country where you don't have any one you can trust.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency in the next financial crisis on: October 15, 2019, 06:04:30 PM

As long as internet runs, I guess the financial crisis will still be solve in the light of cryptocurrency. If internet however is not going to be available anymore for some reason, there will be more valuable commodity other than precious metal to consider collecting while crisis is going on. I do hope we are not going back to no internet era though. A lot of us are already dependent to the internet, I can't live without it anymore unless I have sacks of salt stored in my basement.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the Facebook Libra cryptocurrency idea? on: October 15, 2019, 05:51:20 PM
I don't think there is anything more to expect for Facebook coins, let alone I hear a lot of negative news about their projects, especially many companies that leave them. I don't know what they decided might be a good choice so I won't talk much about Facebook coins anymore.

Not all the news are telling you everything. You can see how big the foundation is compare to those who quit being their partner. You might not be seeing developments to this Libra, it will probably forgotten for months until all these hype die down before they'd suddenly be approved. Since their coin is just pegged to fiat, why do you think some companies like bitfinex are allowed to create like tether?
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: October 15, 2019, 04:19:39 PM
it's still too fast if you say alt season is coming, just because of a 5 day successive increase you can't say that the next bull will arrive.
we see market conditions that are still bad and unstable, plus btc dominance is still high, I think bull is still far from expectations
Agree with you, at this time the market is still in a Bearish trend, Bullish is still far from our view. We wait after Bitcoin dominance decreases, the Altcoin season will come soon. While waiting for that to happen, use the moment of the current Altcoin price to buy potential coins that are in the top 10 at CMC.

Prices of the coins on top 10 are pretty much expensive, the only who would buy those are the ones who has tons of money, the only I see that is cheaper is XRP which I don't see it being worth investing if you just hold about 2k of it. For someone with less budget, I think $500 worth of TRX, ADA or Crypto.com Coin will much profitable than it. Something that is less than $0.05 will be better. Speculations however is that we might experience another blow of the bears before altcoins are going to rally so waiting will be a good strategy for now.
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: The re-accumulation period is in on: October 15, 2019, 03:12:06 PM
Market is good for daily traders with huge volume of funds as there is small scale price fluctuation between time. This perfect re-accumulation period of the ongoing market is yet to come. As the market has gained good resistance the value stays above $8000, even the fall below $8000 got recovered in a short. With this there is more chances for a downtrend before the big pumping which can be considered for accumulating.

That is probably the one dip that we all are waiting for that I can buy altcoins that I have been trying to see whether I can get a christmas sale bonus from it with just about $500.  I'm starting to think I'd be late to buy a stash of some tokens already because the stability of BTC made investors look the other coins, as you can see the prices of altcoins are spiking every day.
1093  Economy / Services / Re: YouTube Unban Service | Get your account unbanned [$67] on: October 15, 2019, 02:10:51 PM
Is there anything you have that can back all these up?

I have a youtube account where I uploaded videos I have playing guitar and singing but that was more than 10 years ago.  I think sometime 2008  I was banned but I really don't know the reason because the email sent didn't mention anything. The last thing I did was that I connected my youtube account to the google adsense account I have. Is there a similar case that you had unbanned?
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra partner drop out on: October 14, 2019, 06:21:20 PM
These partners seem to overestimate their worth, didn't they know that its them that needs facebook?

I wouldn't be surprise if facebook take revenge of them by disabling their facebook pages. Facebook literally can actually limit the visibility of these quiting partners. Probably won't do that though. If facebook over comes this ordeal in pursuing Libra, they'd all come running back again like they won't care what sanction the government will give unto them.

You sound like a person who love facebook. I think that facebook is just a social network, they worth a lot in the moment, but that can change over time. They fast rise can lead us to think that their fall will be fast as well. I`m saying that cause I`m not so much into facebook, even less with libra coin, I see all that as attempt for facebook to grow into a bank. I`m glad to see that some of their partners are dropping out, I don`t know why they signed up for that in the first place.
Who cares about facebook pages? Do you really think that someone depends from facebook and their pages?

They do depend to the facebook traffic, why do you think they advertised more on facebook ads than on google these days?

Facebook do not care about those who doesn't use them, its not their business to convince anyone to join them anymore. The reason why facebook tries to have their own coin is because they adapt to the changes, its what made them on top.  I don't have personal account in facebook either, all I have is a fake account and I suppose those who claimed no account says the truth.

My point in supporting facebook is where crypto should be going, you don't need to invest to Libra, we all know BTC is the only coin that has value. But Libra however will put cryptocurrency in the mainstream. Fuck Libra its only for them but with it, there will be more exposure.

1096  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 14, 2019, 04:12:05 PM
Can't see anywhere that US tried to shutdown Bitcoin on the article, I see it as plain interpretation or something like exaggerated writings to catch peoples attention.

It is obvious that every government is hesitant of this trending digital currency called Bitcoin.  It is also normal for every country to have a hostile initial reaction to something that they thought threaten their curriency's economic power.  So this is actually no news.  Resistance is expected but will soon be overcome by Bitcoin.  Government will choose to coexist with it because of the possibility of benefits they can get if they adopt, adapt and utilize Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrency.

I don't see anything that says they are going to shutdown Bitcoin. Forebes despite being popular are still into clickbait.

Bitcoin will be opposed there is no doubt about any government will want it not to be used by their people since its obviously a threat to national currency. US had already knew BTC long before Trump sit his office, so why now. The government didn't stop it before becomes this huge because it would seem to appear now that they are helpless in stopping BTC. The only and best thing to do is collect tax as what government had always been doing, they are good at it.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sugarexchange.io will ever come? on: October 14, 2019, 03:38:42 PM
Again, good to check the legitimacy on CMC or at least the price movement,

I don't see any anything here, it's just like the rest of the altcoin market, down by 90%

Sugar Exchange Statistics:

Sugar Exchange Price    $0.001801 USD
Sugar Exchange ROI    -98.01%
Market Rank    #1523
Market Cap    $81,115 USD
24 Hour Volume    $12 USD
All Time High    $1.37 USD  (Jan 08, 2018)
All Time Low    $0.000160 USD (Jul 25, 2019)

Just look at the volumes in the last 24 hour, so I don't know if they can deliver their promises of an exchange in the future. There are also lots of projects before talking about rolling out a live exchange but we all got is numerous delays and empty and false promises. So its up to you guys to decide here.

The competition with all the exchanges sprouting today, it won't really make it. They'd have to do something very drastic to at least provide volume to it. $12 volume looks like only one person who trade there probably just unload what he had been carrying his shoulder. The number of exchanges who made it to the top 50-100 are in battle with the biggest who takes the biggest from the pie. Sugar-exchange only got a crumb.

1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 14, 2019, 02:14:35 PM

If anyone thinks crypto is going to be gone soon, he must have lost an amount of money.

The price of the coins is not what it says. BTC is way more than $8000. In 2015, its price was less than $1k. The difference is just too big to think about it will die any time soon. I would however think this is still in the early stage of its rise so grab yourself some BTC and major altcoins in the market because once it take off, its already up there and there is no way you can buy at low price.
1099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whale transfers 1000 BTC from Bitstamp exchange to External wallet on: October 14, 2019, 01:59:40 PM

Someone just decide to keep his coin out of the exchange, isn't that what is being advised most o the time that it isn't safe to keep coins in the exchange?

This move can be a cue that bear is over. They have accumulated a lot so they move gradually their coins out, this could be the exchange itself or a trader whoever he was, we can look at it like he set aside these coins for keeps. If he is someone who withdraw all his funds then he must have gave up taking profits already and just want to hold.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 2000 Projects Reviewed – 640 have not published a single Code in 2019 on: October 14, 2019, 03:16:42 AM
I think people are taking this a bit differently, just because the project hasn't published new code, doesn't mean it has been stopped or become a scam project, there are a couple of projects that have been focusing on marketing and more mainstream adoption, and they wouldn't need new code for that stuff.

Although, to be fair, there where a lot of ICOs from 2017 and 2018 that have become failures in the last years due to the market, and sometimes themselves, and it's quite sad to see.

Its been opposed by many of the people because it doesn't stand the way how decentralization should be. When Satoshi open his code and make it opensource for the public to see, its also open the possibilities of more projects which we are now into this cryptospace. The projects using blockchain has the obligation to give back to the community what was given to them for free for being opensource. What stop those projects from abusing if they aren't revealing the source code they have? When it comes to money (cryptocurrency) greed will come and its not surprising these closed github projects will become scam on day.
