I feel your pain.
Try with only 8GB and another psu.
Latest bios?

For comparison my i7-6700K @ 4 GHz does 290 h/s XMR.
The issue with "CPU algos" and GPUs is a combination of architectural limitations limiting the potential gain combined with increased development effort to try to overcome these limitations. Lots of work for little gain - low motivation.
The way I see it all these cpu algos have that same problem, too much free hashing power available. You don't pay for electricity & hardware. Your latest i7 does .29 khs Mine dinosaur 295x2 does 1.48 khs Dwarfpool top miner who owns 66% of that pool does 1262 khs. Nethash is about 50000 khs. These are insane numbers, you would need 4000 i7 6700k's to beat that dwarfpooler alone.

Or everything else at gpu mining drops to xmr levels.
But bensam is right here, this algo really needs some dev magic. That would be good for all (except bottnets and serversfarms).

r9 290 on cryptonight gives 600 h /s no way it will get you to 1200 .... the only card taht can do such is 295x and 7990 but they are dual gpu and smal ovens.... .... and at current difficulty and price it is not profitable.... r9 290 will consume at 700 h /s 250w , 0.34 XMR in day .... around 1.7 USD .... so forget abt it... same will be nvidia... i suppose with an nvidia we can get around 800 h/s with an optimized miner ( 250 / 260h tsiv miner that was optimized for gtx 750 to... same hash rate was anyway on gtx 560 .... but of course 560 was a small fournance ... 750 was kind on the wattage)
Boring day so I went and tried claymores miner on 295x2. Underclocked and volted, 0.98volts, 940/1000. Windows 7x64 with some old mobo and s775 cpu, cpu usage max 10% with some other gpu's running at the same time. Memory controller load 40%. At first I thought it crashed immediately because it felt like nothing is going on but wattmeter started showing some numbers. Only thing that is connected to this wattmeter is gold rated 1000w psu that feeds a single 295x2. 240 volts. Minerside 1480h/s and 300 watts from the wall. Dwarfpool poolside shows same numbers, according to their calculator I would earn 0.5XMR/ day. Yes I know, I told you it is a boring day. It is impossible to compete with botnets and server farms but I am happy to see that someone runs the blockchain.

Yelp, but if you don't PM the Ethereum Foundation about this, how will they be able to fix it?
Fuck The Ethereum Foundation... There is no reason to swear SP_ , young people could end up reading this thread! You need to set a good example to the young one's. You started it, you mentioned ethereum foundation... What is your opinion about pools with profit switching dagger mining ports? Are their calculations right?

Monero +54% today. but 1KHASH is only giving around $1,75 a day
After some bad trading had to watch this video again. https://vid.me/ima7I feel much better now.

Is that ATH for XMR?
No, but it was close. ATH was at 0.01 , 19th June 2014 Aah, it was that mintpal pump. Vote us to mintpal and we are 3000 btc/ day.

Look at Lbry, look at the last 30 days. That includes the block reward increasing.
100% increase of the miner reward in just 3 months + 99% premined. The trader robots are fooled. Bad AI. Traditional Techinal analysis doesn't seem to work on the LBRY coin. Netflix alone has marketcap of 40 billion. I am going to throw some btc to lbry at some point, I just can't calculate what that point is. Next in line: Ubertokens Airbnbcredits Interesting times... -edit- and to be on topic, I hope lbry blockchain is not 30GB year from now. Perhaps they should call XCN dev.

Copypaste from Hardocp: Improvements over Z97
Aside from DDR4 support, the most exciting improvement to Z170 Express is an increased number of PCIe lanes. Z170 now supports a total of 20 PCI-Express lanes at the PCH in conjunction with the CPU’s 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes for a platform total of 36. Last generation’s Z97 Express chipset coupled with Devil’s Canyon or Haswell CPUs only allowed for 24 lanes. All of these from the PCH were PCIe 2.0 compliant. In contrast all Z170’s PCI-Express lanes are Generation 3.0 compliant while retaining backwards compatibility with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 specifications. Manufacturers will of course have a great deal of flexibility concerning how these are allocated. There will be a lot of additional integrated devices on Z170 motherboards so not all of those PCIe lanes will be free for use by the user via expansion cards. So keep this in mind. z97-x with i5 4690k runs at least five nvidia gpu's with no problems. z170 ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/) with i5 6600 doesn't even boot when you add third nvidia gpu. It might boot but doesn't see third gpu even at bios, if you are really lucky it boots and sees it but never in the OS level. I don't know if they fixed it with later bios updates but back then it just didn't work. Trust me, I tried from friday afternoon to sunday evening because I just couldn't believe it.

Some months ago I spent one weekend fighting with skylake, wanted to move 5 x nvidia from P67 to Z170.
I lost that fight, had conversations with Asus and they finally confirmed that only 2 x nvidia or 3 x amd works on that mobo. It was really hard to get them understand that I want to use more than one gpu but I don't want to sli/ crossfire them.
Sent skylake back to retailer and still happily hashing with old sandy bridge.
I dont get the point here buddy . Do you mean to say the issue is with the processor Chipset z170 is that issue. If you disable everything you don't need in bios + have some powerful cpu with lanes you mitght do it. Great, isn't it?

About 8 months ago I needed some powered risers.
So I went to the market and bought about every decent riser I could find, it was really easy. Sellers (mostly people who have "free electricity") were asking me if it is profitable to mine again. When I told them it was about 2 fiat/day/ per gpu and on top of that I can heat my house they were happy to sell.
That 2 went to 5, 10, 15 and in some cases to 20.
Now we are back to 2 levels and people are buying hardware worth thousands like this was some kind of gold mine. 2 last winter is exactly the same 2 now.
What am I missing?

Benito mussolini have been imprisoned there, and "liberated" by nazi paratroopers
It is, one of the most beautiful places that I know. Silence, and magnificence.
Years ago I escaped hot and crowded beach area in Pescara and drove randomly up to the mountains. I ended up in a valley just like this, propably the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Wild horses running around, mountains, silence, 10 degrees cooler than sealevel. I remember village called Castelvechhio, is this that same valley?

based on this and the hash of the 980ti, it should do nearly 20MH or around that, but i would not be surprised if it can do more, like in lbry where the 980ti is a joke in comparison
How much is 980ti doing on lbry?
