1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: July 30, 2023, 08:11:32 AM
Fun!  For me it is not, but certainly for others it is, because they have views and followers, but there is no discussion on this topic, there is content for all kinds of people.

The only game of chance that I follow or watch is wsop poker tournaments, then spend my wonderful time on something that I can do by myself...

It's not fun for me to follow these top streamers either. But we watched Globbo streaming our poker games, and I followed a few slot streamers I know, but they played with reasonable amounts. I have a feeling that it was a long time ago... I have been out of it for a long time.

But that can change maybe, Gosu is preparing something... so I will probably take a closer look when it happens. Small community with people we mostly know, so it can be interesting.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 30, 2023, 06:18:52 AM
We are not all the same, some like to share some don't... and there's probably some superstition involved, but that is inserted in most of us from an early age, do you remember "make a wish but don't tell anyone, it will not come true". Smiley Parents and even more come from grandparents.

I know people who don't like to share their betting picks... I don't find it strange, it's a bit funny and I like to poke them about that, but in the end, it's their choice for whatever reason, and I respect that.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 29, 2023, 06:18:06 PM
I stake some coins in some places... why not? Crypto is full of good stuff and I think people should try it. Please don't go for some crazy high APY, it's usually some scam... but staking in some exchanges and wallets with some reasonable APY, and in my case in casinos too, is bringing some passive income and it's pretty safe, at least I didn't encounter any issues over the years.

Staking on centralized exchanges is dangerous because centralized exchanges have much more opportunities to take your coins away from you than if you were staking on decentralized exchanges. Decentralized exchanges have their own risks because smart contracts are often hacked, but they have fairer rates than centralized exchanges, whose pools very often lower interest rates as you hold your funds in those pools.

I get your point, but can we say the same for saving in banks? Banks can decide to freeze any account as centralized exchanges can do... After mandatory KYC at Binance, I decided to not go through that and just move my funds. At the moment I have some BSW on staking at BiSwap, and in the past months (maybe more) I noticed that interest rates are lowered, as you explained, more than halved to be accurate.

1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 29, 2023, 11:52:25 AM
I'm not defending him nor being a fan of him but we need to look at the fact that he is a genius and I believe he will soon bring Twitter back to its glory days.

After Elon buy Twitter the Financial Statement is not fully declared to the public, I think because if he had revenue loss he had twitter blue revenue that we dont know

I would agree with you he is a genius and now he turned Twitter into X the media have said it going to be multi-app. And recent news he wants to pay the creator from the ad-revenue.

Multi-app, the app for everything... I guess it's similar to what Facebook tried a few years back, but in the end, we didn't see a lot from that. Maybe Elon can do it, since he is into crypto in some way he can come up with something great and unique. But who really knows what's happening in Elons brain, he can change his course at any time, like he did in the past.

I think that "birdy" looked much better than this "X"... but it's just me. It will be interesting to see Elon's next move and where Twitter is heading.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 29, 2023, 06:16:30 AM
...
Don't take that reason to gamble just to have fun. There are lots of ways to have fun without risking money.

It's not with the percentage of the income to be used on gambling but regardless, just always be disciplined in managing our money.

I would like to hear about some of the ways to have fun without spending money. Nothing is free these days, entertainment can cost less or more, but generally, more money means potentially more fun. But definitely, if we wish for some fun we need to spend some money. I am not sure if it's relevant, but some people spend money and risk their lives just to feel the rush of adrenaline while jumping from a plane or mountain... well, I would rather risk my money in the casino while sitting in my chair. For me, there's some fun in "risking money" while playing some games I love, and I choose to do that rather than something else.

Some people take gambling more seriously, but they are not playing slots probably... or other -ev games. Smiley
1086  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: July 27, 2023, 05:50:13 PM
Well, iv4n, for some reason, I believe you are trying to back up BC game. It's obvious that a player will spam around and get mad if a balance like $3.7K is stuck in a casino, and they don't care about it. What do you expect from a gambler who is waiting for 45 days and there is no resolution? Of course, I am not supporting his behavior. He should be polite and gentle. But it is obvious why he is angry and talking like that. He shared some screenshots in his scam accusation thread and provided further info when community members asked for info.

I didn't "back up" anyone in this case... I simply shared my honest opinion about this case, and I shared my personal experience at BC. And I guess you can quote me if I am wrong, but I still don't trust this guy... Is he a gambler? Cheater? Honest guy? Liar? 5 screenshots in 45 days of waiting is absolutely nothing in my opinion... yes 5 screenshots in his scam accusation thread! Check them again and tell me that you are buying that. I would share my full conversations with support, and I would share all sent/received emails with them. And maybe before everything I would accept help from a highly reputable member of this forum if I believe I am honest (check previous pages and you will see what I am talking about)!

I do not see anything from the BC game representative except for saying to contact our support.

Since we didn't see full conversations and some other correspondence what we can assume? Who knows what really happened here, for now, I believe that this guy got caught doing something "wrong". Now he can spam around looking for some sympathy and understanding, but I doubt he will find that with his attitude and a few screenshots that prove absolutely nothing!

A guy is claiming the BC game support does not answer (This is proven because he is not the only person complaining that they don't answer), and they do not reply via email too.

A guy can claim whatever... but it's not about what we claim it's about what we can prove. Do you really trust this guy and his words? Check his thread again, his 5 screenshots, and his words, and tell me your honest opinion about should we all back up this guy.

Congrats on adding a new game, it's always nice to see something new. I hope you will continue adding new games from time to time. I am not a "BlackJack" lover, but I tried it and it looks good... Smiley I quickly busted my USDT, and when I wanted to place the last all-in bet of $1.1 I couldn't, not enough balance. I tried with $0.5 it was the same.

You're a clown and you work for them. I have posted all the neccessary proof. BC.Game live support is inexistent and it's now been 45 days since I am not allowed to withdraw MY DEPOSIT + MY FAIR EARNED betting profit from 2 bets in sports in major league.
Go get a real job and stop promoting scam websites

Well, you didn't convince me... and after these words, you are even further away from that. You keep repeating the same thing without new arguments, and you are adding some insults whenever you can... it's not nice! Smiley Anyone can make a few screenshots like yours and claim anything! And it seems that many don't buy your story, maybe it has something with your temper and the lack of real evidence.

Regardless of the insults, I really wish you luck with your case... I will give you one honest piece of advice, I am not sure you will get far if you don't change your attitude and if you don't provide more proof that will back up your story.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 27, 2023, 07:23:27 AM
...
To estimate how much space you need for your food and water storage, you can use this online calculator: https://providentliving.com/preparedness/food-storage/foodcalc/. According to this calculator, for two people for 30 days, you would need about 14 cubic feet of space for food and about 7 cubic feet of space for water.

And what we are going to do after 30 days? I have watched a few shows about preppers, and what they do is a little crazy (or a lot)... even the guy who teaches his son how to make bullets, if the zombies show up and they spend all the ammo it would be good to know how to make more!!! Is that normal?

Here the older people say that one goat and a few chickens can feed the family... it's how you survive in the long run. But in the event that some big shit happens and there is some big pollution on our planet we are doomed... except for these super rich people who build bunkers with 5 stars and fly to the moon in their rockets... like in the movies.

Believe in yourself Wink People have won the weekly lottery with even more incredible odds (1 ticket winner, remember?) so 1 ticket in Lambo is much higher possibility.

I guess everyone knows the joke (I'm sure there is one in every corner of the earth in some form) about the man who prayed and cried to God every day to win the lottery... one time God came to him and said "So buy a ticket". Smiley

I can't remember the last time I won GT from daily free WoF... but for now, I have 7 from playing. I think someone already suggested some "wagering counter", it would be awesome to see that! It would be nice if we could track our progress to the next GT.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: July 25, 2023, 06:25:17 PM
I'm only interested if they have their own private network and it has mixed games.

Also they have to make Drake and Santosh play in the games

Let's imagine they play... $500/$1000 table! Who will play with them? Smiley Even if we imagine some lower min/max blind table it will be the same, many of us can just imagine playing on these tables.

Totally. I also hope they make their own private network. That keeps the sharks out, at least in the beginning and probably a lot of money can be made until words makes the round there are plenty of fish to catch playing poker at stake.

Mixed games should be there 100%. I don't remember the last time I played NLH, it's just too boring in my opinion.

5 card omaha, especially the hi/lo variant is the most fun and bad players make the most mistakes. Best games to exploit weak opponents.

Crypto needs a good poker place... with mixed games and many poker variants, and most of all active players. I guess Stake can attract players, but still except for some rumors, we don't have much. So I doubt that we will see poker at Stake anytime soon.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: July 25, 2023, 10:41:47 AM
This pretty much sounds like "how to deal with people and things I don't like anymore"... Well, the harsh reality is some people change and some don't, some people accept changes some fight against them, some people grow up, and some don't. That's growing up, we learn as long as we live... if we are smart, we question our actions, and we think about how to be better... Simply said we either make progress and we advance, or we are sinking.

So how to deal with this? Well, as some other people said with honesty! Share your honest thinking, provide arguments, and if someone accepts it's good... if not just move on.

I am not a religious person, but this explains a lot:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference

1094  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian ruble is scam on: July 25, 2023, 06:34:59 AM
The question is... Can this not be applied to ALL Fiat currencies?

How many times have governments around the world manipulated the "value" of their local currencies? How many countries have bailed out the Banking system with tax payers money to rescue them from a total collapse? (USA being at the forefront of those kinds of actions)

Since 1933, the U.S. dollar has lost 92 percent of its domestic purchasing power.... do you think the US Dollar are also a scam or is this just the natural future of all Fiat currencies?

They are all the same... corrupted to the bones. It's impossible to count how many times have governments manipulated all markets, bailed out fallen banks, and extracted money from different funds... on a daily basis over decades. I guess this list is endless.

And I think that any kind of repair is impossible, this world that is growing so fast needs something new and better, if it can save us from damned politicians and banks and all those people in suits.
1095  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: July 25, 2023, 05:12:09 AM
What is there to save people from? Signing up at Betnomi and depositing? Well that will never be possible because the website won't come back.

Well, you have a point, but some of us still remember BetKing and Dean. He had a few comebacks... and apparently, he is back again, the site is up. So some accusations can save some people in the future, who knows?

This does not look like classical exit scam, but they are slowly sinking the Betnomi ship.

I still can't believe they disappeared just like that... but days are passing, and for some people, Betnomi has reached a point of no return days ago.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 24, 2023, 03:16:36 PM
Greed can cause a gambler to loose what he ought to earn and also loose along what he had already earned and saved, while gambling, we must have the courage to maintain the little we could afford to earn while gambling by reducing the risk involved and increasing the probability for winning than trying to win but ended loosing everything, some bets we made should not be on our emotional control but doing what is right to do at the right time and not being too greedy for a win in other not to accoumulate loss than winning while gambling.

Well, I guess you are right... if we are greedy we can lose a lot more than one bet. In most cases, greediness comes when we are in some profit, and we want a bit more. But what happens is that greediness wipes out our balances and extra deposits so quickly... just because we wanted more in some second and we got carried away by pushing and waiting for some big win... that win sometimes comes, but in most cases, we end up broke after tilting.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: July 24, 2023, 09:14:52 AM
I guess it's ok to invest $20k in any alt you like as long as you have at least +$200k in BTC, ETH, and some other coins. So $20k would be just 10% of your portfolio... But if $20k is your entire investment bankroll then it would be foolish to risk all that in some random alt you picked up from all the answers here. I guess you can get lucky, but I think the risk is too big as always with going all-in even if you choose some top coin, and especially if you choose some alt.
1098  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 24, 2023, 07:35:05 AM
1) The most important reason in my opinion is honesty. There are plenty of crypto casinos that operate on an open blockchain and easily provide their winning probabilities, which are involved inside their games, such as roulette, slot machines and the like. Shouldn't every casino be open? Casinos on NON-blockchain do not think so.

What kind of toxic attacks on me are you doing here?

We will consider what I meant by the example of a cryptocasino TrueFlip: This casino is presented on our forum, if you so want to see an existing example.
Phrases from how the project positions itself:

TrueFlip uses blockchain technology to verify its lottery and guarantees the absence of any interference from developers or any other entity.
...

Yes, I may have described something inaccurately in previous post, but this is not a reason to write to me in such a way as you did.

Nobody attacks you... and there's nothing toxic here. Don't be so sensitive.

Having one or more provably fair games don't make a casino open and transparent. There are in-house roulette, slots, but the most popular live games and slots are third-party.

Quote
Provably fair technology employs several steps to generate verifiable and unbiased game outcomes.

Many people don't like in-house games because of the house edge, in the long run, the math says they are all -ev.

Shouldn't every casino be open? Casinos on NON-blockchain do not think so.
I am not sure I fully understand your point. Could you please provide some examples of popular casinos that operate on an open blockchain? It seems like you might be confusing the provably fair concept, which has nothing to do with blockchain technology except for its use of cryptography.

He doesn't understand himself either... I am pretty sure about that. There's something about provably fair games (in-house games that can be verified by the third party), but winning probabilities for slots and some live games depend on the provider, and their RTP is usually visible, but we can't verify our bets. I guess he mixed up those two... somehow, some way.

2) A special way of entering and withdrawing money: no open movements of transactions on accounts and cards. By transferring money through cryptocurrencies, you are anonymous. Transactions go fast and without stupid confirmations, because of which you may be asked to turn your head every time or provide documents for the 100th time.

This is something most of us from here understand... but for people outside crypto all this looks like a "spaceship"! After so many years in crypto, I still make mistakes here and there, especially when I am trying out different possibilities, and in crypto, we sure have a lot of them. If we talk about crypto in general, including all coins, tokens, and chains. Wallets are a different story, but very important as well...

The headline is simple "The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know"! The first thing is definitely setting up a wallet, but only one wallet will not do much if you wish to experiment with "all the possibilities in the crypto gambling space". And people should really be careful with using "the right chains and addresses"! You can't believe how many people make those simple mistakes, and for newbies all that can be really confusing!

Btw ... today Sorsis told me that he will answer in the thread soon (I asked him about when the platform will work).

This is probably the latest information that we got on Betnomi so probably wait but I kinda doubt things will be going back to the way it was

Things will never be the same again... this is taking too long, I think all ships have sailed a long time ago. They could have issued any kind of announcement, they could have been much more honest with the community and their players, and all we got is total silence. It's very unprofessional and annoying...

Well, they have definitely done a lot of nice things, but we all know how hard can be to build a reputation, and how all that can disappear quickly with one bad move. And I think Betnomi already made a few bad moves...
