Leverkusen, remain consistently on the right track even though some of their matches have ended in draws. apart from that, so far Xabi Alonso's squad has not been defeated in its 15 matches in this competition, 6 matches in the Europa League and the same goes for the DFB Pokal. Leverkusen is also no less productive in terms of scoring goals throughout the league. the first half of the season is coming to an end, the January transfer window is about to open. an opportunity for Xabi to recruit several players, if they need them. whether Leverkusen deserves to win a trophy this season, I don't dare speculate too far. because, there are still many matches remaining until the 2023-24 season ends. as a neutral fan, I am quite happy with what is presented this season. at least, there are several teams that are unexpectedly strong competitors.

Milan tried to keep up but the good thing is that they got the positives from the match and are cruising on safe spot on the log. Yes, It was seen that Fiorentina will win this encounter especially when you check from both team’s current form, you can see that Fiorentina are a better team compared to Verona even though they can get stubborn.

Liverpool was playing attacking since the beginning of match but i have to says they weren't lucky because they were got plenty of opportunities to scores goals and it proven from their statistics that Liverpool has 34 total of shots during the match but none of these opportunities became goals besides that do not forget about Onana i have to say he deserved to called as man of the match because he was displayed good performance and Onana has made some important saves which make Manchester United defensive lines not conceded goals until the match ended

This result make Liverpool position was taking over by Arsenal because yesterday Arsenal won from Brighton and do not forget too about Aston Villa because this team currently can be threaten Arsenal and Liverpool position on league standings because after they can overcomes Brentford then Aston Villa has equal points to Liverpool and Aston Villa even only have a difference of 1 point below Arsenal

Currently Lille is still 0-1 behind PSG. Meanwhile PSG is still trying to score the second goal which they have so far failed to achieve, but considering there is still time, I think PSG can make good use of it. PSG seemed to have difficulty scoring the second goal because of Lille's good defense, but of course it wouldn't be a problem if PSG could maintain that narrow lead until the end.

Luis Enrique has indeed performed well in Ligue 1 this season with 3 draws and 1 defeat, but Enrique must be very capable of maintaining it because the Ligue 1 title is the most realistic title to achieve. PSG are not very good in the Champions League which means they have to be very focused on Ligue 1 and remain leading the standings with a large points gap from Nice and Monaco.

Experience is not always a benchmark for making a club great, the way Xabi and Tuchel work is of course different in managing their players, Munich will face Stuttgart if they fail again, of course this will make it easier for Leverkusen to stay at the top of the standings. Stuttgart always plays well against their opponents in their five matches, they only lost once and won three times in a row, I think Stuttgart will make it difficult for Munich to get full points.

Monaco is a more established side with some of the best players in the Ligue One but we saw Nice defending very well and getting the winning goal in the 84th minutes. If Lyon can continue with this winning mentality for the next three games they will be heading out of the relegation zone. It will be a disaster for Lyon to go to relegation because the club has a good history both in League One and Champions League.  A game that Monaco dominated in terms of shots on target and possession, but they defended very well and took the few chances they had to get a goal.

Monaco lost an opportunity to close the gap on Nice and PSG. But such results are what makes a league interesting because matches are becoming unpredictable. Pierre Sage seems to be doing a good job since the sack of Fabio Grosso and I just hope the former academy coach will at least bring the club out of the relegation zone.

The round of 16 stage of the UCL seems tough as expected due to the fact that teams that advanced are literally the best at their deeds in their various domestic leagues. The UCL is always a tournament for the best teams in the game and it adds to the fun of football as all teams would strive to survive through each other's heat. This round is one of the toughest in the tournament despite the fact that they'll still play home and away.

 No team would trade their chances or give off points to the other as every goal counts. No matter the set fixture, both teams are definitely going to be tough for each other. This is one stage that should be watched closely, it's very much risky to predict at these points cos none will be willing to submit to the other. Let whosoever will win, win however I believe teams like Realmadrid and City would move into the quarter final.

Atletico Madrid may not have performed at their best in this game, but This is more about Athletic Bilbao is known for being a tough team to beat, especially when playing at home. Their resilience and defensive capabilities often make it difficult for opposing teams to win, even when dominating possession. Atletico Madrid have themself to blame for not converting their dominance in possession into maximum points that could indeed be seen as a missed opportunity.

Atletico Madrid need to take lessons from this game to avoid wasting opportunities in future matches.
