1081  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: June 29, 2017, 12:56:13 AM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!
Let us also say that you have 2.1 BTC and currently holds it. For sure it will not just go up a few cents if you save it, your money will be doubled or more of it's current value now depending on price movements that will happen in the future. You can either spend it or save it because if it was me I will for spend some just because im using btc not just to earn money, but I use it to buy something as well so I will hold most of it and spend some percent of the bitcoin I got. That case though of you having 50 cents now from 13 cents 7 months ago was caused by a price rise and many calls it as price being pumped.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto Portfolio - when will I be rich? on: June 28, 2017, 09:27:44 AM
I can't tell when you will be rich but for sure you will be one when the time comes so just sell the altcoins you hold now when it pumps hard, and set a target price to sell into. The earliest point of time that you will be reach maybe after next bitcoin halving because we might see yet another bitcoin price rise after it so better trade and multiply your btc portfolio before that time comes. I might be wrong since this is just a guess.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum early warning on: June 28, 2017, 05:39:45 AM
I guess :
$ 160
$ 120.
It may fall further down.

$ 70 resistance

I don't think will go down to $120 or $160, the price will go up and if the price down to $120 not just Ethereum holder will panic also another altcoin based on Ethereum Network.
We will see soon if levent's prediction or yours will come true but for now I think levent's speculation is very possible after all, Ethereum looks so hyped right now because of some ICO's that gathers ethereum in their crowdfunding, which I think is what boosted ETH price to the current levels we see now. The question is when those ICO's will unload the ethereum they have gathered? If they do that ethereum it might fall under 160$ or even 120$ so I personally am waiting for it to happen but if it doesnt, it is still okay.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Primalbase - The next THE BILLION COIN on: June 28, 2017, 03:08:57 AM
I think it is in the right price considering that it is an infrastructure project and is unique, and have some real use unlike THE BILLION COIN. Although I trust it a little, I have some doubts about it too, after all the token is quite pricy but it aint released on market yet so there will probably be price adjustments. It seems to be fishy too for now I will watch news about it.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AICOIN ICO:: Building Wealth Thru AI & the Power of the Blockchain on: June 28, 2017, 02:17:08 AM
Investors have high expectations to it, because they know that this coin is capable of becoming one of the popular coins this year with it's own and first innovation. Developers will just help us do things so we will stay and use their coins.
Investors have high expectations to it and also to other ICO'S but it will be one of the popular coins this year or the other I think by following their roadmaps and doing their work professionally which they would likely do. They would need to maintain good public relations till the end which lacks on those ICO's who failed. I also have high hopes on this project so for now I might consider buying into ICO too.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH ia going down!! on: June 28, 2017, 01:25:20 AM
eth is going down and down.
what do u think? can it grow about one week?
actually why its going down?
have any reason?
Reliable answer, please make a reply
I guess the dump of ETH is pretty normal considering that it is pumped so hard this year. I think it might not grow for about one week for now and will probably stabilize because it is always on the run up in this past months and also, many whales probably took profits right now but if you really want to profit buy now it might go up more in the next coming weeks or buy later before a consensus about bitcoin proposal is implemented.
1087  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful.com Moderators stealing people Bitcoins Codedly, Scam and Fraud Site on: June 27, 2017, 01:42:16 PM
I was thinking of using paxful because of a recommendation made by a friend of mine and this now changed my mind so for now I will watch your thread and see what happens before starting to use it. Like what you experienced, I have experienced being scammed and my money being taken away and that's why I don't trust big funds to sites like paxful and even if I did put some money, I always make sure that it stays below 10$ this is my tip to you OP, so that even if you loss some its not that big.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new split/scaling for dummies on: June 27, 2017, 10:46:44 AM
Hello

I do not understand what is really going to happen in august with the split/scaling.

As I've understood it BitCoin is going to split into two or something? Could someone explain this in the tongue for dummies and not in nerdspeak please? Smiley

As long as you have your bitcoin in cold storage, or hidden away, and not in an exchange, do you have to care about this split and why?

Do I risc losing my coin if I don't take the necessary steps or something? Or could I just sit back and watch this happen as long as I have my coin in cold storage?

For now it is unclear whether bitcoin will split into two or it will just have some block scaling. If your bitcoin is in cold wallet that you have control over the private key and not in an exchange, you don't need to worry about this split just because you will have the same amount of bitcoin on the two chains if ever there is a split that will occur. That being said there is no risk of losing your coin just sit back and watch it happen.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to store bitcoin for long term? on: June 27, 2017, 05:37:23 AM
If you don't trust online bitcoin wallet! you can used your own hardware or pc to create your own wallet, but for me I used coins[.]ph online bitcoin wallet because I already used it for a long time. It is already upon you on how do you keep safe your bitcoin and do it with your own risk.
If I were you don't ever recommend an online wallet like coins.ph, I personally use the website this guy use but so far it is okay to use but I don't recommend online wallet such as this but if you want online wallet I recommend blockchain.info more than coins.ph. It is better to follow this guy's first recommendation because it is better to use your own PC or hardware to store bitcoin via electrum and the likes because you control private keys of the bitcoin addresses there. Also like what others say, paper wallet is also good.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin savings account? on: June 27, 2017, 03:22:58 AM
Is there any upcoming project that would act like a bitcoin savings account?
I think there aren't any upcoming project that would act like a bitcoin savings account giving interest because you can only store bitcoin on a secure wallet but it does not give interest There are some online wallets who offers that feature but it ain't trusted so I don't recommend it. There are other features that offers you interest for storing your bitcoin on their website specially gambling sites like crypto-games.net but I also dont recommend it. If you want OP test it because their investment feature offers interest.
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Governments Shutdown the Internet? on: June 27, 2017, 01:32:28 AM
To be exact government cannot shut down internet permanently that easy because right now it is a basic need for the citizens nowadays. Even if they can censor internet there are a way around it, which is VPN or like apps that changes internet tunneling protocol. At the very least they can try to stop bitcoin but they can't shut it down completely.
1092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when you are in profit? USD or Satoshi? on: June 25, 2017, 11:23:14 AM
I am a little confused because I have always looked at the satoshi prices, but sometimes I hear people say that you should look at the dollar value if you are in profit or not. But when you trade at an exchange to BTC all the peaks and vallies are measured in BTC? Should you follow dollar value or satoshi value to know if you are in profit? Or do just have to choose one of them and stick to it? For example if I buy at 0.1 satoshi and now the chart show 0.12 satoshi I think I am in profit? But is that not always the case? I am using cointracking for example to see if I am in profit or not. If I look at BTC value of Doge I am currently in -7% on the coin, but if I switch to dollar I am +0.09%  It is very confusing..

Does it have to do with if you plan to keep your money inside crypto or take it out? If you plan to take it out I guess dollar is more important, but my plan is to stay in crypto for the long term so dollar value is not even important at that point...?

I mean if you buy a coin at 0.1 satoshi and you sell it at 0.2 satochi you have sold in "profit" even if btc would have sunken 90%?
It really depends on what you want to do. If you want to keep your trading profits in cryptocurrency for a while before a big pump in btc occurs, you can say that you are in profit if the amount of satoshi you invested have multiplied. If you always cash it out and convert it onto fiat, you can say you are in profit if the amount of dollars you invested have multiplied.
1093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What determines if a coin goes up or down in price? on: June 25, 2017, 10:05:00 AM
What exactly causes a coin to go up or go down in value?  If everyone starts selling the coin, will the coin go down in value?  Im curious but what things trigger coin prices to go up or down?
The things that causes a coin to go up or down in price is demand and user's trading activites of a certain coin so when a place or certain country starts using a certain currency, it goes up in price just because of demand. If one country begins to use for example bitcoin, they would buy it therefore making it's value go up and at the same time, if many peoe sells, therefore it will go down in value. Another factor that triggers a coin's price to go up and down are news and FUDs.
1094  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i buy or sell today on: June 25, 2017, 09:22:26 AM
For now I can say it is not the right time to buy nor is the right time to sell but if you want it is also a good time to buy now. There is a lot of potential that in the next few weeks, bitcoin price will go up because it has been stable in these price ranges for quite a while so I am expecting some crazy price movements again either upward or downward. If it goes down then just buy more bitcoin and wait for pump.
1095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin for Altcoins Anonymously? on: June 25, 2017, 08:33:41 AM
I use electrum to store bitcoin.  I like to get some altcoins like ETH, litecoin etc.

Is there a way to do this anonymously?  I believe people mentioned bitcoin is not anonymous but ETH is.  Is that true or not?

Does anyone know if there is a way to trade btc for eth/litecoin and say waves anonymously while using electrum?  I believe it has something to do with a mixer.  Can someone explain this?

Also another question i want to ask.  Assuming you trade btc with someone for their cash... let say they give you cash in person or at a casino for example, are there any traces to you sending bitcoin?  Because i heard a while back bitcoin was anonymous but now it isn't?  Can someone explain this?

Does it also have to do with your bitcoin address that you use?  I heard people mention you shouldn't use your bitcoin address more than once etc.  Does anyone else actually do this?  Because i mainly use the same addresses when using bitcoin when receiving etc.

Can someone tell me how i could trade bitcoin for altcoins anonymously if thats even possible?  I was reading about shapeshift and how its a site that converts btc to eth and vice versa and a lot of other coins.  I don't really mind but the more i think about it, i dont want there to be a trace if there is a way to not allow this.

Also if using this mixer, does that mean i could still send it with electrum?  And how hard would it be to use a mixer?  Im not tech savy at all etc.

Bitcoin really is anonymous like ETH, one can track transactions originating from an address but still no one really knows who owns that address, unless it is announced publicly by the owner that he/she owns that address it is also the same in ETH. To trade btc for eth/litecoin anonymously and vice versa just use exchanges. About mixer they are used for one to avoid transactions being tracked on block explorers to know how they really work, find threads here about bitmixer or chipmixer for example there is an instructions there on how to use mixers. Also about the trading btc with someone for their cash in person or at a casino for example, there aren't any traces left sometimes but this can be bad because it might result into scam just do it on exchanges instead. Also you can use bitcoin addresses more than once since it won't really reveal your identity unless you said publicly that btc address is yours. Besides shapeshift, there are other way to convert bitcoin for altcoins anonymously which is via famous exchange sites like bittrex or poloniex there might be a trace but no one can certainly know that you did a transaction or not sometimes just because in the logs it only displays someone buying or selling without a username so it is still anonymous.
1096  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: June 25, 2017, 07:38:30 AM
or may be buy low sell high ?

Lot of noobs traders , don't control their emotions and make worst mistakes : buy at high price and sell at lowest

how to control this ? = put orders (buy/sell) and close the platform
To control the emotion and to not make the worst mistake which is buy at a high price and sell at lowest, then one should research a coin before buying it and not to buy when a coin is already pumped because most of the time it is just manipulated and therefore will result into a loss. If one trust the altcoin he/she bought or bitcoin, then just wait for it to pump again and stop doing the stop loss strategy because it could mean loss when there is pumped again in the near future. A good example of this is lisk. Way back it reached 0.0005 BTC each from 0.001 BTC and others have done the stop loss strategy which is to buy high and sell low, but now it is at 0.00126837 BTC according to coinmarketcap so if they waited they could have had a profit of at least 0.00026837 BTC per lisk they own.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Way to Buy ETH, Litecoin, Waves? on: June 25, 2017, 06:05:30 AM
You can use both of the exchanges you mentioned because poloniex does not have waves listed in it but if you want you can use bittrex only because it got all the pairs you want to buy and is also the best way to get ETH, waves and LTC. It is also relatively easier to buy them using bitcoin, not via bank accounts because it would be a hassle and you are right about it having a 0.25% fee for trades. Also, there aren't USD pairs available for waves so buy using bitcoin only.
1098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a bubble anyway? on: June 24, 2017, 01:45:27 AM
What's your odds that we will face much more strong correction for the whole market in a very near future?
The odds that we will face a much more stronger correction for the whole market in a very near future lets say about a week is so low because bitcoin is not in a bubble anyway right now, the price rise is caused mainly by mass adoption. If there were to be a strong correction, I guess it might happen a month or two from now but im sure we will see one if the consensus on bitcoin scaling made by August 1, 2017 is not good.
1099  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why most terrorist are Muslim? on: June 23, 2017, 11:45:19 AM
Why not? There are more than 109 verses in the Islamic holy book of Quran, which urges the religious Muslims to wage Jihad against the non-believers. If Islam is a peace-loving religion, then why these verses are there in the holy book? Do you need examples? Then I can give some:

Quran (3:151)

Quote
"Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority"
Its up to them it they will believe it or not though sometimes I also think like you that Quran verses love that are like that is the main reason why many terrorist are Muslims but that is not the case most of the time its just like a coincidence because if the country where ISIS is founded is not a muslim religion believer, then ISIS members would also be not Muslims therefore there is a possibility that most terrorist being Muslim is just a coincidence.
1100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why most products now are made in China? can we trust these products? on: June 23, 2017, 08:49:16 AM
Almost all products nowadays are made in China? is it a good thing or not?
Don't say all because we can still find some things that aren't made in China, but most useful things that are cheap are made in China specially some helpful tools that are quite good to use so it is a good thing. I personally use some items made in China, a solar powered lamp made in China that I am usinh for a few years now and it is still working fine, even my electric fan that was bought 1 year ago and is made in China is pretty durable and is still running in a pretty good condition, so I trust the quality of China's products.
