1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: August 25, 2017, 08:14:16 AM
As i know gambling is all about luck and how to control my greed, except sportbetting (of course need skill and strategy).

I have experience in gambling (casino), somtime i hit big only with faucet or free money and i can withdraw from that. but because my greed i always want more and more, then i'll come again with my money as bankroll. Bet more and hope win more, but because of that i'll lose my money little by little and usually i'll stop after my bankroll to be "0". I call that with greed.
Anyone here have any suggestion to control my greed? Let me know.

That's the saddest things I heard most often for the gambler, were they are already winning then in the end the result was still loss. Because of of thinking they can win more and hit the jackpot price again. It is the effect of being greed, your the only one can control it, even you read a lots of advises here in the forum if will not apply it will be useless at all only.
1082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is a whale? on: August 25, 2017, 07:14:33 AM

Those whale are the big investors or rich people who invested a huge amount of bitcoin. There are many investors who investing into bitcoin amounting millions in dollars, However, it is not necessarily for us to become a whale though all of us here had chances to become like that aat the time we get some profit of more that 10BTC.
1083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the moon!!! on: August 25, 2017, 06:34:15 AM
Wow from 1,780$ now bitcoins is on the way in 3000$ .  Now people selling btc in a cheaper price regrets. They don't know this is the part of trading pump and dump. I think there's a responseble for the dumping of price controling the BTC Price drop in they link August 1 Disaster to forced some BTC holders to sell bitcoins now people sell in a low price start buying back again in the high prices so bitcoins start to get a high volume.  Anyway Congrats to all knowledgeable people for not selling btc even in the panic moment.  And now this is your reward. 3000$ per 1 BTC.
There are many member here are holding their bitcoin in a long term mate, almost less than a month where bitcoin jumped up to 4200$ now, isn't great to see that bitcoin going to the moon, and now many speculations that by September bitcoin will proceed in between 5000$ up to 6000$. So better to buy bitcoin now before its too late. Wink
1084  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: August 25, 2017, 06:02:05 AM

For me, i dont think so because i did not already try to hold bitcoin for a long time. But i have idea on whats happening on that case because i have red a lot of news/ advices about hold8ng bitcoin. But i've confused because some are saying that it is not good to hold bitcoin for long time because it is too risky and other said that it is good because when you hold bitcoin for a long time you can earn a big money in the right time.
So what is the truth for holding bitcoin ? I am confusing guys so please tell me. Thankyou.
Nothing in business industry that has no risk involve, of course all of the businesses that has been scattered or spread out the world had their own risk. Now, if there is someone told that bitcoin is not a good thing to hold in a long term that person is obviously don't have enough knowledge about the potentiality of bitcoin. It is already proven and tested that many of the member in this forum has became successful because of holding their bitcoin when they bought it at 200$ and now 4200$ almost the price value of bitcoin.
1085  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong Trabaho mo ngayon? Related ba sa course niyo? on: August 24, 2017, 02:29:46 PM
1086  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Buy altcoins with Coins.ph? on: August 24, 2017, 11:46:02 AM

1087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i care about mining as a trader? on: August 24, 2017, 08:42:08 AM
should i care about mining as a trader? does it affect the coins in anyway?
Yes it is mate, because all what happened now bitcoin mining or altcoin mining has a big connection on what's happening in this field of industry. even for the price value of bitcoin. I know time will come that if your profit is enough you could have your own mining rig in your home then you will one of the mining supporters of bitcoin.
1088  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: August 24, 2017, 08:28:49 AM
I feel like i miss the boat or missing the even bigger one.  Huh As i want to develop new skills on trading i would like to know more about trader sources. What sites they use or which news sources they follow. And is there any book e-book you can advice? Thank you all answers!
One of the best sources for you to learn about in trading was Bitcointalk forum, as we all know here it is very informative, were you can find on trading discussion mate, here are some link where it giving demonstration about in trading topic in this forum too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1024457.msg11085774#msg11085774

You can encounter some fudster, troller and anything that you can imagine here and much better for people if they wouldn't focus on this site only since there are helpfull article and youtube videos that we can watch so that we may get some valid ideas on how to do trades on correct way.
Indeed, you are correct in that matter dude, however, you can also check or go in the different exchange site platform for you to see the actual movement of the coins in the platform and observes what traders do when price value of coins there is moving whether up or down the price.
1089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's The Minimum Investment? on: August 24, 2017, 08:16:37 AM
If you're looking to make any sort of profit from cryptocurrency and you're just starting out, what do you think is the minimum starting investment you ought to put into it?

Yes, I know "you should only put in what you're willing to lose" but surely there should be a barest minimum, right?

EDIT: If you don't mind sharing, how much did you start with?

I think 50$ is good minimum amount of investment if you are going to invest in some ICO project it is usually happen that after the ICO your capital investment always x 10 of your investment.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 24, 2017, 07:46:37 AM
I don't know why but I always get a feeling to gamble, after then losing my money, I quit for some time and then continue, but I know I will lose my btc Sad

Why is it so addictive?

Maybe Sir the reason why you have the guts to play more in gambling even you quit for some time but then still continue to do it. Perhaps, because of the high percentage of your addiction in the games or in gambling. You've been blinded for it, So if you won't stop or change it could that be that in along run you will totally wreck in term s of money.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with altcoins on: August 24, 2017, 07:26:57 AM
I see many coins around. Even a year ago there were some casinos accepting litecoin and dogecoin. As bitcoin is now really expensive and slow plus some people are afraid of tomorrow's segwit thing, I thought it would be interesting enough to create a poll and see how many people still gamble with bitcoin and are there many fans of other coins. Nowadays the range is really wide, so we have what to choose from What do you think?
If I am going to choose in, I would still go for bitcoin, it maybe expensive but it comes at the same place, when you play in gamble using other altcoin then when you win in the games from altcoin you are going to convert still into bitcoin. So much better to play with bitcoin Cheesy
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: August 24, 2017, 06:08:13 AM
I feel my bankroll management and savings all are highly unstable. Can go up or down by storing money in bitcoin to gamble. Some form of betting like poker requires good bankroll management and with value changing everyday, I don't see bitcoin as a good use for poker players and sportsbettors.

As far as I know most of the gambling site now in this industry are using bitcoin as payment. I just don't understand exactly what your trying to intend on this things. Even the the price value is upside down, whatever kind of games you are playing for you can still bet at small amount of satoshi so that you can minimize your loss anyway.
1093  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: August 24, 2017, 05:45:02 AM
i wonder why bitcoin always be linked with things that are not good such as corruption, money laundering or drugs but in this case in my point of view bitcoin cannot lead people to corruption because it all pure from the bottom of their heart to starting corruption but indeed bitcoin could be the tool to storing corruption money
This question has been asked several times, my opinion with this things it is because was open to everyone whether the individuals are good or bad bitcoin is just a tools where it depends on the person how they're gonna use, if it is for good purposes or illegal activity.

1095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins traders, I need your advice. on: August 23, 2017, 01:28:52 PM
Hi, I am planning on doing some trading on Localbitcoins to make extra cash or Bitcoin on the side while working in an office. Is there a guide somewhere I could read? I do not want to straight up post my bids and asks without knowing what I am doing. Please help.

If you really want to make some trade for you to have some extra source of income, I think you need to think about this things several times. It is too risky actually. I don't or I'm not sure if this link could help out your concerns here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1024457.msg11085774#msg11085774

1097  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which sources do you use in order to make a trading decision? and why? on: August 22, 2017, 03:03:15 PM
Hi there
I wonder which sources do you use in order to make a trading decision? and why?

if it's a slack/telegram group it will be great if you will share the name/link to it.

By making the actual trade in the platform, this would depend on the coin you had, if the coins you hold has a group chat it can be one of the  source, But I don't trust on slack because there other people sending a link inside which once you open it if your not careful you will be hack.

1099  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: August 22, 2017, 11:50:57 AM
Apart from the post points you have mentioned for me bitcoin gives an immense stability to me by providing Internet based income. This income is additional for me with which I can buy many stuff for me and my family. I'm grateful to it in many ways, as it has given the financial freedom which I couldn't get from real job that I'm doing. Moreover time is the barrier in real life.

There are many reason why I chose bitcoin, But I will give 1 top reason, that is decentralization of bitcoin. Because of this features of bitcoin all government in each country are not capable to control it. That's why we bitcoin enthusiast called "The bank of our own savings".
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: August 22, 2017, 10:39:20 AM
Man bitcoin market is open to everybody and isn't controlled by central body so everybody can sell whatever bitcoin they have at any price they are happy with. But there are also buyers who see potential rise in price and buy those coins sold by weak hands. This happen in all day trading, you seem new to bitcoin trading.
That's right, panic selling is the main reason problem why many of the traders here loss in the end, They didn't become patience on waiting. Dropping the price of coins is not a sign for us to to get on panic, but a sign for us to buy it. So the next time it happen our emotion must be control by ourselves.
