10801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: February 06, 2017, 06:42:06 AM
Is there any updates with this coin?

Black halo looked so promsing, but have not heard much since.

Back in the day, yeah.  All the next generation ICO's changed the landscape.  They're getting all the limelight and the money.

Anyway, dzimbeck, I'm dropping by here to ask what is different about Blackcoin's POS compared NXT's POS.  I'm thinking of investing in Qtum's ICO (I know, I know, I'll be careful), and I see in their ANN thread that they will be using code based on Bitcoin Core 0.13 and use that to create a POS platform based on Blackcoin's POS 3.0.  Is that even possible?  And what's the big deal with BC's POS 3.0?

Thanks.
10802  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Bitcoin Speculation Thread. Please Critique my Analysis. ;) on: February 06, 2017, 06:21:40 AM
Yeah I gotta admit, when I made the post it was due to the frustration of Bitcoin quicky surging on the minute I was already getting interested in altcoins again.  Particularly MAID, XEM and NXT.  So all bets were off.  Made a little with the first two (should have made more) but thankfully it made me let go of NXT earlier than planned, limiting the loss.

So no rational explaination there.  Grin

Now holding all BTC and looking for solid alts at discount prices.  I'm also thinking of gambling some at QTUM ICO too.

Nice; i am personnaly still in the alts I bought 2/3 months ago, I have more than enough BTCs  Grin

Heh.  I hope you don't get too in love with them.  I can see a couple of alts getting ripe to be shorted in the coming weeks, granting that Bitcoin continues the uptrend that is.
10803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 06, 2017, 06:11:04 AM
Man City are starting to make a charge for the top spot just 10 points behind Chelsea now and as we know anything can happen in the Premier League. 10 points isn't a very big lead as it's just 3 games in front and if Chelsea start to lose some games then Tottenham and Man City will be there to swoop. Man Utd are also making a run to finish in the top 4 but they will need to show that they can beat the top teams if they have any chance at finishing in the top 4. These next 3 months are going to be exciting to watch to see where the top teams finish up.

Mathematically sure, it's possible.  But Man City must be able to play perfectly every game for that to happen.  That's hard to do since they're still in the CL.  I think they drew Monaco...?  That's gonna be tough for them and there's also the FA Cup to think about.

And keep in mind they also need to be lucky just like what happened in the last game.  It wasn't a foul vs Kolarov.  If the ref didn't give that free kick that game should have been a draw.
10804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 208: Holm vs De Randamie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2017, 06:04:55 AM
Hey guys.  Check the new OP.  All info available for this event should be all there now.

I can't believe Anderson Silva is the underdog here vs Derek Brunson.  I think the latter is a journeyman and is not top 5 material.  And I don't think Silva will allow himself to lose vs Brunson even though Silva may be thinking he has no shot in the title anymore.  But who knows what's going on in that head of his.  Maybe he'll go for the oldest champ in the UFC...  Grin
10805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell Me Your Favorite Bitcoin Poker Site. I Will Make a Review of Them on: February 05, 2017, 12:42:56 PM
Hey guys.  I have been looking for Bitcoin poker sites and I want to make a review of each and one of them.  I will talk about the software, speed of cashout, the traffic and find out the rake structure of the site if it's worth playing in.

So far I have played at Nitrogensports' poker, which I like a lot and will make a review of that first.  I haven't really played at Betcoin but I will do that soon and make a review of that next.

That's two poker sites.  Please post all the Bitcoin poker sites you know by posting below.  Thanks.

Ignition?
Also, what do you think of the amount of personal info being submitted to any of these sites? Guess I wonder why they need mothers maiden name, I'm just curious and you seem to have some insight. ;-)
Will I get hassle upon payout if I register/play via a vpn?
Thanks again

Ignition used to be Bodog Poker, right?  If so then it's not really a Bitcoin poker site.  What I meant was something that started as a BTC site.  Not a site that started accepting Bitcoin later.

To answer your question it's for KYC purposes.  It's pretty much standard practice.

Why not play and review the top most poker sites and blog about it ? That information will be helpful for wider
audience who don't use bitcointalk. And you can make some bucks.

Blog about it?  Nah.  I'd rather talk about here for the people in the forum.  People who are into Bitcoin and crypto.  Not the people outside of it.
10806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 104: Bermudez vs Korean Zombie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 05, 2017, 12:38:30 PM
Here are the results of this event.  I must say that I was a bit disappointed with Alexa Grasso's loss.  It would have been nice to see here become somewhat if a phenom in the world of women's MMA.  It just shows that experience is still key in this sport.

10807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 05, 2017, 12:21:58 PM
Manchester City vs Swansea , i will bet for Manchester City to win with 2+ goals .

It could end up that way but I wouldn't underestimate Swansea's new manager, Paul Celement.  He has tons of experience being Ancelloti's assistant at Chelsea, Real and Bayern.  The guy is clever and has been instrumental in getting Swansea out of the relegation zone.  A draw could also happen.

Quote
Leicester vs Manchester United , it will be a hard game for both teams , those 2 teams want to get 3 points ,especially Manchester United ! i will take my chance and bet for Manchester United to win .

It really depends what kind of United shows up.  I smell another draw.  Undecided
10808  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 05, 2017, 12:15:08 PM
When Wonton won the 300 BTC all the investors are really shaking their head because of the fact that they will be in negative return Smiley and now that Wonton returned the 300 BTC with interest of another 200 BTC, I bet bankroll investors was relief and happy that their investment have a good profit Smiley.  This simply show that gambler and bankroll investors faces the same risk, the risk to lose money when favor is not in their side Smiley.Well I guess wonton don't mind the losses since he believe that BTC is not real money LOL.

The one that is happier would be the investor that invest after wonton got that 300 btc and not the previous investor. Doing this would dillute the previous investor stake and he will get alot more profit , which means that some investor probably hasnt recovered everything of what he loss from wonton's winning of 300 btc

That's right.  I wonder how much profit will a small 1 BTC investment make.  Does anyone have experience with these types of investments, specifically investing in BitDice?  I'm interested in knowing what kind of profit are you looking at annually.
10809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 04, 2017, 06:09:27 PM
Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Hazard just scored on 53 minutes, that's Arsenal's title challenge dead & buried for another season I think.

And if Liverpool and Man City wins, they're out of the top 4.  Lol.  I feel Wenger will either retire or be given the sack at the end of the season regardless of what place they end up.  Time to put a new manager in and rejuvenate the club.  My hope is they get this guy in...

There was one guy chanting and holding the sign "Enough of this, Time  to leave" the commentators saw this and said that he was stupid to even think of letting Wenger go at this point of time in the season. The service he has give to Arsenal, all these years and still does. There's no way Arsenal board decide against Wenger. They might let him go if he doesnt make it to the top 4 by the end of the seaso but right now there's no point talking about it.

Those poor fans.  Oh well as long as the money keeps pouring in their coffers, right?  You know what, I would enjoy another season watching Wenger still managing Arsenal next season tbh.  Especially if they finish out of the top 4.  Grin
10810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 04, 2017, 05:19:52 PM
Liverpool is just nothing now. They won on 1 game in their last two fists of games. That is really sad. Embarrassed
Hull had one of their debut players score that was impressive.
Crystal palace spends all that money in the transfer and they can not even get goal. Once again that is a very sad thing to see happen today. Cry

Ooooh baby.  Sorry Liverpool fans, the club is deteriorating.  Now there's more opportunity for both Manchester clubs to get into top 4.  I could see Mourinho doing the tap dance with Guardiola right now.  Both of them going 'Hachachachachaaa!'  Lol.

I'm particularly excited with Litecoin's activation of SegWit.  Let's see what comes out of it if it does get activated and comes their implementation of LN later.  An interesting twist would be if Blockstream starts testing their LN wares on Litecoin on a production level.  a fine example of the Bitcoin Mining Industry shooting themselves on the foot.

I'm going against the odds and pick Arsenal over Chelsea. Chelsea looks favorite for the match but I think they won't put enough effort to win the game. Alexis Sanchez will kill their hopes. Diego Costa will play like shit again. Make this bet parlay with Liverpool win then you get a cool 5.80 odd.
Event : Chelsea v Arsenal Selection : Arsenal @ 4.00
Event : Hull v Liverpool Selection : Liverpool @ 1.45

Any other reason why you think that will happen?  I would be interested to pick your brain about it.  Why would Sanchez kill their hopes and why will Costa play like shit?

I think you got it in reverse.  If Arsenal loses the match,  their title hopes dwindle or it might even be gone for this season.  So the pressure is on them.  Chelsea on the other hand is smelling blood.  They know Arsenal is on the decline and historically for the last 8 matches at Stamford Bridge vs the Gunners, Chelsea had the better of them.  Except for that year when they were under Villas Boas.

Grasso looked drained at weigh ins
Bec Rawlings missed by 1.5 pounds looked really disappointed

Herring going to get it done

Alexa Grasso didn't look too confident in her faceoff with Herrig too.  Herrig looked like she wanted to get business done and win the fight.  I'm curious if there's a back story behind the scenes between the two.  Anyway enjoy the ceremonial faceoff video.  Smiley

It's a bit of an exaggeration that Jung fights like a 'zombie' and only moves forward all the time, hence the nickname Korean Zombie.  He does do it at the later rounds though, the minute he senses the weakness of his opponent.  Watch this video of him vs Leonard Garcia.  Final minutes of the fight, Jung knows he can take Garcia's punches and goes for it.

10818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Speculation Thread (Charts and Analysis Included ;)) on: February 03, 2017, 04:40:36 AM
All bets are off.  Bitcoin is surging once again affecting all altcoins badly.  If I really need to gamble on alts.  I would start looking for bargains at the more solid, proven altcoins with good backing in development.  Altcoins like XMR, ETC and LTC.  Each have an argument for long term success, so why not get into these if they're getting cheap.

As you mentioned above, XEM will definitely break the 1k sats barrier very soon. I cant say I am a huge fan of ETC and LTC but regarding XMR we MAY see it drop to 0.011 (absolute minimum) but then I can see a surge in price to around 0.017.

I regret selling the minute Bitcoin began to surge upwards again.  The window to buy back could be lost and I'm not FOMO'ing my way back in again.  I'd rather miss a trade than do something motivated by emotion.  Oh well...

you lost your credibility by mentioning LTC

Lol.  I don't care.
10819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: February 03, 2017, 04:37:06 AM
I have not seen a deader altcoin in the exchanges considering the platform had a very successful ICO.  Millions was taken and whoever's running the whole project is trying to play it safe.  Meanwhile you got other projects getting aggressive like Barry Silbert making moves for ETC and this new QTUM project could be on to something in the smart contracts space.  Lisk better do something.
10820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 03, 2017, 04:32:55 AM
I think Chelsea will be champion this year. The score for Liverpool will be 3 points and Chelsea will win for the break from the summit. Come on we are watching.

If Chelsea wins against Liverpool and then Arsenal, then I can't find a reason for their rivals to catch up with them.  I think it was Mauricio Pochettino who said that it would be very hard for other clubs to win the title if Chelsea does win those two matches mentioned.
well Chelsea didn't win against Liverpool , it ended  as draw(1-1) . Arsenal lost to Watford and are now 9 points behind Chelsea , so I think Arsenal cannot beat Chelsea and they are the clear winners in this EPL .

Good!  That will make both Liverpool and Arsenal drop in the table giving Man City the opportunity to finish within the top 4.  Man United also could still finish in the top 4.  Too bad they wasted an opportunity by only drawing vs Hull.  A win would've the ones dropping points on their toes.

Yup now we got one clear picture of this season looks like Chelsea is going to be top of the list. Yup, they are staying in the first position with 9 points lead. The other 3 places may be we see a lot of competition. Man City and Man United both have a chance to take place in top four lists. I hope Man United will definitely come in top 4. let's see what happen in coming games.
Say goodbye for two manchester club, no chance for them. don't forget tottenham and arsenal, they can take chelsea position when chelsea made a foul.

Wrong mate.  Man City will finish in the top 4 and there will be a resurgence in the club.  Liverpool and Arsenal will do what they're good at.  Nothing.  Wenger always had a knack for dropping points at the end of the season.  For Klopp, it's his first full season of English football.  For his squad I want to ask, getting tired much?  I bet they are.  They are fatigued physically and mentally.  And it's showing.
