10821  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is the recovery key one factor access to 2FA or multisig? on: January 30, 2016, 07:54:24 AM
2FA works just fine , but if you want to stop using TrustedCoin for one reason or another , or they got hacked or something , then you can use the seed to recover your wallet .

Quote
Note: The “restore” option should be used only if you no longer want to use TrustedCoin, or if there is a problem with the service. Once you have restored your wallet in this way, two of three factors are on your machine, negating the special protection of this type of wallet.

I personally see it good that way , imagine the amount of people that will be damaged if TrustedCoin goes down or get hacked ?
10822  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum showing "Unverified" on: January 30, 2016, 07:51:56 AM
Did you try to connect to another server and recover again.

Yes I just tried to do that but nothing really changed ,a lways showing transactions as "Unverified" . I hope I'm going to get an answer from ThomasV soon .

It seems like they are back . See this user : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=748438;sa=showPosts , he is spamming in different sections .
10824  Economy / Services / Re: Experienced people with Delphi/Pascal on: January 29, 2016, 06:06:43 PM
I still code in Delphi 6 nowadays... I'm more than medium (in Delphi 6).

Let me know if I can help.

It's something basic so I don't think it changed from the different versions . Anyway , DomainNames4Sale already gave me the solution of my question , thanks though !
10825  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: when Blockchain.info asks you for 2FA ? on: January 29, 2016, 06:02:48 PM
i have never heard this before.
i use blockchain.info too and i have 2fa enabled and it "ALWAYS" asks me for entering the code in addition to my password.

if you have 2fa enabled and only receive the code "sometimes" you should contact support immediately

ID & password are kinda saved or something , Let's say I visited the website now and entered , they sent me 2FA and I connected without any issues .
after 4 hours , I decide to connect , I will find my ID & password already filled and when I click "Login" it just login and don't send anything to my phone .

the wallet identifier (id) and your password is saved in your browser, you can see/remove them if you want in options > look for saved password (usually under security or similar)

the second time login without 2fa (90% sure) is normal since you are using the same browser (which has cookies stored) and same IP

Oh right , I just went to Settings => Manage passwords and I removed the one related to Blockchain.info and that got it removed . All seem to be working fine Smiley thank you man

10827  Economy / Web Wallets / when Blockchain.info asks you for 2FA ? on: January 29, 2016, 03:54:44 PM
I'm not sure I understand fully how Blockchain.info works because sometimes it asks me for SMS sent to my phone and sometimes it doesn't ? should I do so it asks me everytime ? won't that be more secure and better ?
10828  Economy / Services / Re: Experienced people with Delphi/Pascal on: January 29, 2016, 03:05:36 PM
I can help you, pm me with details

PM'ed you , I'm not sure if you understood correctly or not . IF you didn't then contact me back so I can explain further , it's nothing big really . It's probably 5mn task for someone who have some knowledge .
10829  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I trust purse.io? on: January 29, 2016, 10:31:55 AM
I really want to buy stuff off amazon with my bitcoin but I want to know if it will actually work through purse.io.
I have heard some bad news regarding them as some of the gift cards found to be bought via stolen accounts. Don't risk large amount, try with few dollar's stuffs.
Is $40 a large amount?

1 million dollar is not a large amount (if you are a multi millionaire or a billionaire) . It's basically don't risk what you can't afford to lose .

Overall , it's known and trusted company used by thousands of bitcoiners around the world . They got hacked once though , so it's not really recommended to keep large amounts on your account . Once you buy , withdraw the funds (if you still have any) .
10831  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum showing "Unverified" on: January 29, 2016, 07:55:37 AM
Did you recover from seed or did you copy the wallet file?

I had this problem in the past when I copied the file.
When I recovered from seed or worked.

I actually recovered from the seed , so what could be the problem ?
10832  Economy / Services / Experienced people with Delphi/Pascal on: January 29, 2016, 07:20:39 AM
I have a little project on Delphi / Pascal and I need some experienced people on this language to make it . I suppose it's not that hard to do so anyone with a medium knowledge on this language should be able to do it . contact me for more details .

Bitpay accepts up to 1 confirmation, otherwise it will take more than 15 minutes for 6 confirmations.

I can't find your TX ID posted above and looking to the recipients address , It seems like there is nothing as-well : https://blockchain.info/address/1BUbg9o8AssQyq77RaKDkLeXjtKb4MA6xN
10834  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum showing "Unverified" on: January 28, 2016, 08:40:21 PM
I wiped my whole PC and Installed everything once again and recovered my Electrum wallet as should be . Transactions are showing and balance is correct and everything looks fine , but I see the transactions are "Unverified" , any reason for that ? and I'm going to be able to use those funds or not ?

10835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction stuck is becoming a FUCKING PROBLEM! on: January 28, 2016, 08:30:58 PM
I was gonna buy a gift card via gyft.com with my BTC (Bitpay is the third party payment provider). I double-checked to ensure it's a correct address. I proceed to send $10 worth of BTC to the following address and nothing happen. The invoice expires within' 15 minutes. This is the second time that a transaction was stuck in the limbo for hours! This is very annoying. I don't care if the miners are complaining about the cost, it must be in the blockchain instantly once the funds are sent -- that should be a mandatory protocol. Miners fee is 0.001 by default, accept or don't even bother mining.

It's the case already however some payment gateways request 6 confirmation (more or less) to proceed the payment .
10836  Other / Meta / Re: How to delete our Accounts? on: January 28, 2016, 08:17:21 PM
can't. I doubt theymos will ever delete any account anymore. if you want to clean everything just delete every post you have. good luck with that.

LOL delete more than 1500 posts! never possible

It will take you time but it's always possible to do .
Theymos will more then likely won't delete your account , he have probably more important stuff to do . Beside , If you want to leave the bitcoin community then you can simply make a hard password or whatever and never connect again to your account . Simple as that !

i don't want my posts and username to be indexed on google

Google should be able to get your username with one way or another , because some people already quoted you in several posts and deleting your account or your posts won't change anything for those quoted posts . So google should be able to find those posts .

10838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be Satoshi's opinion on blocksize shills ? on: January 26, 2016, 07:47:35 PM
He probably trust the community and bitcoin developers to make the right decision , because if he didn't then he would come out . Or maybe he simply don't care anymore . (Or he is dead)  Roll Eyes
10839  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum upgrade with cold storage on: January 26, 2016, 07:41:37 PM
A late update.

Did the offline/cold system first.

1. Made a copy of the existing Electrum folder
2. Installed the newer version of Electrum
3. After install, verified password was recognized and seed was the same

4. Did the same thing on the online/watching-only system
5. Went through the transaction process and successfully sent a small transaction

6. Did the same process with Electrum-LTC

Just curious, how do you verify if the seed is the same?

It's possible to check the seed by going to wallet => seed (you enter the password to be able to see the seed otherwise you can't).
10840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / European Union Wants to Surveil not Regulate Bitcoin on: January 26, 2016, 05:33:32 PM
The European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON) held a public hearing on Monday, January 25th 2016 on virtual currencies and the role of regulators.

The role of virtual currencies in abetting illegal activities such as money laundering and terrorism funding was the central idea discussed during the meeting.

The ECON policy-makers took a balanced and careful consideration of the impact of virtual currencies and crypto-technologies, taking into account both the advantages and underlying risks of using the technology.
