10821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: June 11, 2017, 07:30:22 PM
There are a lot of life lessons to be learned from gambling..things like not to be greedy, practice patience and have a better judgement of things can all be learned from there
Gambling will also teach you on how to control emotions and make better decisions.
10822  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: June 11, 2017, 07:34:04 AM
Does anyone have any idea how many people are using gold as a store of value vs btc?  And how long do you think until we have the same user Base as holders of gold?
I honestly think currently we have more holders of gold than bitcoin and with so many cryptocurrencies the user base of bitcoin will not be greater than gold holders.
We should not expect user base to be the same any time soon.
10823  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: send bitcoin to bank wire (SEPA) on: June 09, 2017, 10:07:04 PM
Is there some service where you can enter IBAN / BIC (bank wire account number), send bitcoin to an address and then have magically the BTC converted to fiat and sent to the recipient's account?

Would be sometimes useful to pay bills.
I honestly think this is not possible without information were money is being wired to and they also have to abide by their AML regulations
Some information about the account holder will easily make this whole process much easier...
10824  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: June 08, 2017, 01:59:37 PM
Because of having lack of knowledge...
People basically see what in front of them, but they don't try to see the behind scenario. Every religion has a lot of terrorist party but only we focus on the Islamic party. Basically, no body can tell the actual true, every body is behaving like typical person... before doing blame, you have check it out both side.
I agree, lack of knowledge is the root cause of this belief that Muslims are the bad guys.
When in reality all religions , pagans included do bad things and later go scout free as others will be accountable for there bad terror habits.
Its okay to hate Muslims if they terrorized you or your family because we are human and are trying to pin the blame on something or someone but hate should come with evidence.

10826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin transaction is fastest? on: June 07, 2017, 04:48:06 PM
Hello,

Simple question. Which coin transaction is fastest thrue exchangers?
Maybe ETH ?
Eth is definitely fast
creditbit is quite fast too, based on Ethereum algorithm and an ERC20 Token. Just wish we could see such speeds with bitcoin

Quote
How much time takes to arrive from one exchanger to another?
Usually with altcoins that have fast confirmation times the exchange requires a high number of confirmations
10827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Earn some bitcoins with ads on: June 06, 2017, 09:02:59 PM
If your traffic is comprised of unique vistors i think you better off using your own referal banners

and earn as an affliate, it wont be easy but that few hundred views should bring in a decent amount of btc
10828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most promising Casino coin? on: June 06, 2017, 04:18:02 AM
I am wondering which is the most promising Casino coin?
vSlice, Edgeless, Etheroll, RouletteToken or other casino coins that I am not aware of?
Casinos are fond of accepting established and well-known coins like ethereum, gamecredit,  unless you are looking for exclusive casino altcoins to play with.  Its best to treat all potential casino coins as an investment
10829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 04, 2017, 03:29:10 PM
At times I find myself paying high fees because I need my bitcoin transaction confirmed in the fastest possible time
atm am paying fees in the ranges of 40-60k satoshis which is high enough imo hope it maintains this range for the time being.

10831  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 01, 2017, 04:25:34 AM
I dont remember how it really happened but i got to know  about bitcoin a few years ago through ptc advertisement sites which offered free money by paying users in bitcoins which i didnt know by then and had to look it up via google...i was a lot to process at the time but it was one thing after another faucet, wallet, blockchain then what is bitcoin and the journey began just like that

10833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: May 31, 2017, 07:47:17 PM
Yes it's not easy. Although Gambling doesn't seem like the regular addictions like Cigarettes and drugs etc... but it's a heavy physiological addiction and the need for it for some might be the same like cigarettes to others.. You would need serious effort and if possible, some friends help and social activity to leave it.
It will never be an easy habit to give up because gambling addiction is a drug on its own... and stopping this
will require determination and self displine as it can never be fought by our friends or family, its our own battle to fight to put ourselves on the right track.
10834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hacked Again? on: May 31, 2017, 06:43:35 PM
hope this stays as a rumour and does not turn not to be true because this will leave a dent not only eth but other cryptocurrencies. OP just how do you know that people are generating duplicate private keys ? Tried to find this on google got no hit related to this???  Hope these all not strategies to use fake news to make people panic and sale their stacks for less
10835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRB] Creditbit - ERC20 token on: May 31, 2017, 05:17:01 PM
Guys,

I've been developing a small Windows application to hopefully make calculating the CreditBOND locking period/blocks/award simpler and faster.

It needs some work yet but I should have a working Beta in a few days. Is this of use to anyone?

All comments/criticisms greatly appreciated Smiley

~snip~
this is actually some good work !
I understand your project is still in the beta phase but i think if the program was made for cross platforms...it going to be popular  especially for creditbit stacking.
10836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Took just 3 months to double in price. Bubble!!!!! on: May 31, 2017, 05:02:31 PM
The price was going up quite quickly, but it has already corrected some and seems to have stabilized around the $2200 range. Due to this stabalization, I don't think we are in a bubble at the moment. I foresee the price starting to slowly climb over the next month.
things really slowed down after the correction and we seem  to be having a slow but steady rally heading towards the $2500
mark, i guess we are likely to see $3000 before the end of the year as we wait for segwit activation and chinese exchanges enable btc withdraws which is likely to stimulate demand.
10837  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online Bitcoin wallet ? on: May 31, 2017, 01:14:25 PM
Privacy is very paramount to enjoy the use of cryptocurrencies

but without ID verifications it narrows down your options to blockchain.info , blocktrail , jaxx, bitgo.....
10838  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Doubling your Bitcoins?? Scam or real?? Your opinion on: May 31, 2017, 11:54:45 AM
A service or product that sounds to good to be true should be avoided at all cost!
As far as i can tell it does look like a new site by the way and for the sake of protecting  other forum members from investing in that site maybe link has to be removed if it  has been proved to be a scam.
10839  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which wallet is best in all means? on: May 31, 2017, 08:01:06 AM
For the sake of convenience on cross platforms and uptime without the need to sync wallets, I would say blockchain.info

Then for users that take security as their top priority, a paper wallet or desktop wallet should serve their needs well.

-snip- When Xapo free for receive and send, I select Xapo.
if you are charged to receive your own funds thats definitely not a good wallet...if xapo is free to send will try it out Smiley
10840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 30, 2017, 09:33:30 PM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

It will be expensive and a waste of resources if the Ecuador government chose to continue with the ban, am certain they will just have to accept that bitcoin is here to stay and its already made a mark on the world map.
