10846  Other / Meta / Re: Banned for the past 5 months, would like to know the reason on: August 23, 2016, 11:29:35 AM
this is my answer, you cant just ban me for some stupid room mate messing with the account without my knowledge. if this was the case i would have clarified earlier.
Actually, yes we can and we did. I doubt that the global moderators would fall for the "roommate did it" story after being discovered as a copy-paste spammer. Have a nice day.
10847  Other / New forum software / Re: Scammers Database on: August 23, 2016, 10:21:03 AM
How It require constant updating? The forum software should do all the work, from getting info from the Scam accusation section to everything else.
As for A, I honestly don't think It requires much work, just another column in the user's table for the value for the value in user's profiles + a method to read the UID from titles, and that's pretty much it.
So you're telling me that every scam accusation is a valid one? I don't think I need to tell you why that is bad. The problem lies in the automated process which can be abused:

In each user profile, there is a number and that number represent the number of scam accusation opened against him (It would be nice if this figure appears in RED color in the Postbit as well) and those numbers are collected from the Scam accusation sections.
A newbie or two open several threads about you, and there you end up with several (invalid) accusations labeled in red on your profile.

10848  Other / Meta / Re: all my messages gone on: August 23, 2016, 10:12:28 AM
and what if a whole thread deleted? are we still get a notification about deleting the thread?
No. When the thread is deleted or trashed you won't be notified of anything. You only get notified when your post specifically gets deleted.

I am noticing my posts count constantly being lowered and lowered everyday. and I noticed the same thing in other's accounts too. (some of my friends also noticed the same)
That can happen when a thread in which you had posted gets trashed. You do not get notified when this happens. I generally recommend staying away from threads that break the rules, or have generally become worthless (full of rephrased signature spam).

I think Moderators removing old threads without any notification etc.
The age of a thread doesn't really matter if it breaks the rules.
10849  Other / New forum software / Re: Scammers Database on: August 23, 2016, 09:49:02 AM
I dislike the idea because:
A) It requires a lot of work.
B) It requires constant updating by the staff members (or admin), whereas it was stated that we don't moderated scams.
C) It doesn't do much, as we already have DT for that.

Alternatively you could start up a thread called e.g. "[User Generated] Database of known Scammers" and keep track of this yourself. Just make sure to make it self-moderated.
10850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brain wallet password based on fingerprint? on: August 23, 2016, 09:44:07 AM
i'm not sure on this one, but i have read that there are people with the same fingerprint. this is rare but still not cool.
AFAIK these cases are very rare, even twins don't have identical fingerprints. The chances of you meeting somebody with the exact set of fingerprints are ridiculously low.

FINGERPRINTS ARE NOT PASSWORDS. FINGERPRINTS ARE USERNAMES.
Seems like most of the signature spam is just ignoring this, or doesn't understand it at all. I doubt that they've even read your post in the first place.

I never said this is the only factor that gives security. A large address space is necessary, but not sufficient, for bitcoin security.
Fair point. I was just under that impression after reading the statement. Sorry for the missunderstanding.
10851  Other / Meta / Re: all my messages gone on: August 23, 2016, 09:27:43 AM
As the user above stated , It's impossible for them to get removed alone.
Correct. Moderators can't do that.

Maybe he mean that all his forum messages (posts) are gone this could be removed and deleted by forum moderators, for spam or just off topic or ref spam it csn have a lot reasons.

Wait for some mod maybe he have the right answer
Moderators can only check whether there is something in the trashcan or not. We can't really tell whether some of their threads/post were removed directly by another moderator. However, when a post is deleted they should be notified about it via a PM.

Here lauda, I have a couple #003s

I currently have #003 AG, AC, PS, PG.
Thanks. Sorry, I've missed your post as I was just reworking minerjones's manifest which lacked this information. I have also marked you to be the person that is collecting the said set (I assume you are?). Here's the updated version:

I'd appreciate more information on the remaining coins, in addition to confirmation from NewAnon for set #6 (if they're collecting them, so I can color it appropriately).
10854  Other / Archival / Re: . on: August 22, 2016, 09:29:44 PM

This is the latest manifest for the first 20 sets. If anyone is aware of the location of any missing coin, please let me know either by posting here or by sending me a PM. There also may be an error in Set #8 as I don't know what the exact missing coin is.
10855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need your Opinion on this guys! Please help. Best BTC WALLET for you. on: August 22, 2016, 09:13:23 PM
Blockchain is i think the most widely used bitcoin wallet because i think they are more established  than other online wallets.
Horrible advice as always. Today is a prime example of why you shouldn't use an online wallet. The website has been down for quite some time now.

It is really hard nowadays to trust. But still, I need it.
No, you don't need it. There are better SPV alternatives.

I don't have big amounts, cause of that I'm not in pursue of some big protection, if I ever come to that I will go with eletrum, or multibit. I heard best things about these two wallets, and one of them will be my choice when I start to work with big amounts of money.
A SPV wallet isn't for big amounts of money either. If you are talking about bigger amounts of coin, then you should be looking into offline storage and hardware wallets.

if anyone looking for a light wallet then go for electrum and blockchain wallet is good too but why will you choose anyones other wallet when you can have your
Blockchain.info is not a good suggestion for a wallet.

im really happy about bitcoins either, i have never had any problems with it such as losing it or something like that, bitcoins are the best
Useless spam post.

009 set went for 1BTC
Wow that's a good sale. Smiley
That's correct. Set #5 was also sold for the same price. Minerjones and I have to update that manifest now. I'm not aware of any other <#10 sets that have been sold. Not that many are assembled either.

That is the plan... to assemble sets and sell them
I'm not in it for the $$$...... just knowing that there are complete set is good enough for me!! Cheesy
That's the plan, hence why some coins are priced very differently (in case some were curious). Almost everything is listed at ROI price and can't be altered.
