10902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo on: July 22, 2016, 04:37:38 PM
I have been testing it out and it's still very stages but you can tell the game has huge potential if they add more stuff, like more complex battle system with turns instead of just tapping on the screen which is pretty dumb and so on.

But the great thing would be to get BTC instead of those coins. Also being able to buy stuff with BTC (you can already do with fiat but not BTC).

I hope that we can see BTC in games like this. Imagine the extra incentive of getting BTC and not only Pokemons.

They aren't compatible and never will.

If you want a same game feature of Pokemon Go, a standalone bitcoin game app must be made.

Pokemon Go will not integrate bitcoin features in their game unless there will be massive request from it's users. Smiley
10903  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum Amount To Start Trading? on: July 22, 2016, 04:15:15 PM
I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?

Im not familiar with localbitcoin so I don't have an idea about that own advert things.

But anyways, if we are to answer if BTC0.5 is enough to start trades, well yes and that can be considered as a huge amount as a capital. You will feel the profit even for a minimum of $30 price movement but of course much better if above on that.

Goodluck and remember to watch closely the price especially when there is a price rally.
10904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: July 20, 2016, 06:52:21 PM
$52 million for 4 years is small even for an average player. And take note of Plumlee's role, the paint where Bucks is struggling.

If Greg Monroe wouldn't be traded, then it's a triple tower for Bucks in the paint alongside John Henson.

13 million $ per year for a 20-minute player it's huge contract. He's promising but he hasn't deserved this contract yet. 2017 free agency is sucks, it's not about finding bargain, money spent whatever they can find now.

Bucks market offers are not that pleasing that's why no players are likely interested to join their roster especially in the center spot unless they will offered a high one. I can't think of a good center that will accept the $52M for 4 years contract so it's just fine for Plumlee.

Mason Miles Plumlee is getting 52 million $ for 4 years. What NBA turned into? Bucks spent big bucks to a 14-minute per game average player. He gets 1 million $ for every minute he plays. That's ridiculous!

10907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone help me where to invest my bitcoin? on: July 19, 2016, 05:16:20 PM
I don't gamble as i am very bad at it, i lost over 0.5btc at Primedice  Angry
I am searching for any reliable investment site,
Any suggestion with be appreciated, thanks...

Then why take your gambling to the next level? This gamble will really worth your risk.

You can earn more profit with the amount you lose on PD if you will try to learn the art of trading. You able to reach such amount in a period of time playing in PD so I think you can put some too of your precious time on learning how trading works.

Don't just expect luck come to you automatically but rather help yourself to magnet that luck in order to gain profits.
10908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price predictions for after the halving on: July 19, 2016, 05:10:54 PM
The speculation about the halving is over and the people who got in to make a profit from it will leave sooner or later since the halving really had no effect on the price.

Literally price jump prior to halving isn't because of the halving speculation. People just think of it as halving speculation since the event is coming. Because of this, the true reason isn't much that present to other and they didn't know much that it was all started because of attempted rally created by those big whales.

And you just think that there is no price rise since you are starting to take all the movements "after halving". But take a look how t

I also expect to see the smaller bitcoin mining farms to close because of the lesser reward and unprofitability. This may bring bitcoin's price to a stand still or go slightly down.

If more farms will be close then the production will be minimized. And because it will slow down, it will take the bitcoin price for an increase due to demands.
10909  Economy / Gambling / Re: Big bet on: July 19, 2016, 04:56:10 PM
If I reached this number , I would use a small part of my money for gambling , because in gambling there are winners and losers , and I will be insane if I lost this amount in gambling , so I will gamble with small amount just for having fun , while I will invest or save the other big part .

But in this case you have to gamble with Bankroll 1600 BTC  there was no other choice just to gamble what strategy do you use ?
I myself would bet on sports only bet on games that really I understand if it loses then double the next bet started with small bets

And like I said in the first, even a small odds of at least @1.5 will do the work since you will place a large bet out of your BTC1,600. Gambling also even at 10% of that will not make you pissed off when you lose that's why recovering the loss maybe is just an option to be forced out.

If a person lose more than 10 times "consecutively" in sports betting especially with their "known sports" then better play jackstone or hide and seek and just use your remaining funds in other business aspects.

If you have 1600 BTC (a little over 1 million dollar), how would  you bet?

Im not that enthusiast with those house edge type of gambling as I preferred sports betting.

If I will put myself in that "what if" case of yours, I will bet BTC1 for any games that has odds of above @1.5 as you will feel profit here even with such low odds given.
10913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: July 19, 2016, 09:17:42 AM
Without Kobe i guess they will be a playoff team again. The team can play without thinking someone that they should have gave the ball to him all the time as a show of respect.
Do you really think that the Lakers are going to have a good enough team to make the play offs again? To be honest I do not think that they will succeed.
They came in dead last if I am correct last season so it will be hard for them to make the play offs upcoming season.

I think you are not getting the picture. We all know that Lakers, if Kobe is on the floor, other players can't give them their own style of play because they are being controlled. Look at most of the games where Kobe is injury or not present and you can see how well those his team mates performing in the game.

Entering playoffs for Lakers has a chance although it really requires a super hardwork for the team. Don't based their future in their last season's output.
10914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: July 19, 2016, 05:20:07 AM

Lakers fame is finished as kobe bryant finished his journey to that team and for now lakers really getting a hard time to compete to another team since we all know that they dont have reliable teammates who they can rely on,

Theirs no doubt really that they are talented but they dont have what you called one teammates that can lift up there team to have spot in playoffs.

Im not really going to be surprised if these current lined up will be easily elimanate since i dont see any rooster changes to their team even though they have clarkson but still hes to young to brought responsibility to lift and step up for his team.

Lift is not the right term that can applied to Lakers rosters now. They will work now as a team.

Dissapperance of Kobe opens door for other all the players in their lineup to give what they really capable of. Since some of them are young and new, they can't move freely on the floor since it's must be on Kobe, Kobe and Kobe. If they perform bad they will be blamed by Kobe,Kobe and Kobe. Kobe controls all players in the floor that's why there's no freedom in every plays they want to made.
10915  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: July 19, 2016, 05:05:11 AM
My strategy is to buy low and sell high. So you can make some good money in the future and that will be very good. I hope that more people will also get money. And the most important is that they must use Bitcoin more and more in future...

Buy low and sell high. So how can you say that "this" price can considered as low? Remember the desire of $500 price months ago? $500 back then is a high price to considered by most of the people in the community. Buying at low rate and selling it in high price is easy to say but please can you make a backup statement for your strategy?
10916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: July 18, 2016, 07:05:47 PM

Warriors will come strong in the next season and that is certain, they have durant and they are more confident than before. It's 4 all stars playing as starters, can any team beat them? I think no chance for other team, the only team that could match them is the cavaliers.

Remember the Mavs vs Heat Finals 2011 (2010-2011 season)?

That is the first triumvirate (lol) of LBJ, D. Wade and C. Bosh. Expected too by most of the analyst that they will dominate that season "unanimously". And do you think the silent Mavs will crushed them back then?

NBA is unexpected mate. Smiley
That could happen mate but this time is different I guess and upset does not happen all time if you base on the probability. Anyway, this is NBA and as you said it is unexpected because NBA where amazing happens.

Apply that statement back when Heat first formed their big three that everyone thinks that Miami will be the expected champion in 2010-2011 season.

Anyways take a look at the quoted post, "It's 4 all stars playing as starters, can any team beat them?". I'd like to ask him, is that 4 stars really a monster one that no one in NBA can match them?
10917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming halving on: July 18, 2016, 06:47:14 PM
Has BTC overcome the halving? Or is it just a slow rise and the worst things are waiting in the near future?

So you are expecting a quick and instant result on the following day right after the halving ETA?

If yes then you should continue to study about what halving really is.
10918  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: July 18, 2016, 05:55:56 PM
Yes bitcoin will take long time to replace any major currency and which is unlikely to happen, as bitcoin don't have that huge potential to take place of currency like EUR, USD or GBP.

So is there really some person/s here in the bitcoin community thinks that bitcoin can replace those fiat currencies like EUR or USD? Im a bitcoin enthusiast but Im taking all my desires to a realistic one.

Bitcoin can be a global currency because literally it is possible but not to the point that it can replace those fiat currencies. Bitcoin dominates cryptocurrency and that's it.
10919  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many people are considering selling after the halving? on: July 18, 2016, 05:47:52 PM
I do not see any reason to sell at the moment. The price of the bitcoin is still very low compared to the future price.
Even a month ago the price is 700 above and the price right now still not increase back to that price.. block halving is done but the price is gradually increase i dont know when the price will increase again in touch in 700 value.. but i believe this december we will see a large pump this coming december..

Why in December and not next day, next week, next month etc? Is there a big event that will take placed in that month that will boost the price? Anyways nevermind Im not serious to that question lol.

In the current price movement like this after the big event that most of here in the community is expecting, hopefully all those halving fanatics learn some nice lesson that halving alone won't make the price increase. There are lots of post prior to the halving eta about big expectations and big increase "right after" halving. Yes they think an instant price increase once halving has come.
10920  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the next BIG event after block halving that may boost bitcoin price? on: July 18, 2016, 03:58:09 PM
i think there is no need for any next big thing because bitcoin price is looking good and rising over time.

but if you are looking for a news, i think anything positive about the block size can be powerfull enough to make some big changes and raise the price up.

News build speculations, whether it will take the price or down.

Speculations builds plans to be executed, whether to go for a long or short.

For bitcoin price to up, it needs manipulators action to start a trend from different exchanges. Normal event that will take place in bitcoin will be now be the expected reason of the rally that will happen.
