10921  Economy / Speculation / Re: wow dead cat bounce. surprise! on: November 01, 2015, 12:32:59 PM
I understand a dead cat bounce is the small rise after a huge sudden crash. This is nothing at all like a dead cat bounce

i always thought that a dead cat bounce is a return to the previous point after a pump, basically a sum zero movement

bu we are in a better position than before now, so yes this is a price correction and a possible consolidation on the new value
10922  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: November 01, 2015, 11:05:06 AM
it's a job for them, so i see it is a job for us too..., what's so bad about this? why we should not make this as a job? for us that want to earn something while posting... and especially, why you want to carry a signature campaign if you don't care about earning? no-sense

you can be on topic and post some decent post and do it for the earning anyway, and remember that everything(every single little thing) you do in exchange for money is considered a job

anyway marco my payment is missed from three day already

You're so pathetic, this isn't a job.
Stop to post useless reply and stop the spam, I'll report all your post.

go ahead and report, all my post are on topic and they aren't spam like you think

for me it's a job, like i said everything that give you money for your time it's a job, it does not matter how tiny is the amount or what you're doing to acquire this money
10923  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: November 01, 2015, 11:03:31 AM
I am not really sure about if it is good time to buy btc. I believe it would still gain some value but it feels risky currently.
I expect downs.

I don't think it is risky currently, it's good to buy BTC right now. Next year will be a good year for bitcoin cuz of halving.

Easy profit I guess Roll Eyes
how can one ensure that next year is certain, the price of gold will be good?

i think its not easy profit,

uh? he is not mentioning gold in his post he is talking about bitcoin, from where you get gold, besides spamming with sig?

10924  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: November 01, 2015, 11:01:36 AM
I would if I get an incentive like the Core devs who are working on bitcoin. Similarly if the job pays better than my day job, there's no reason not to leave my current job for a better one.

i remember that gavin was working for free at its time, i don't know if this is not true anymore, but every dev hold already a good portion of bitcoin, i doubt they need incentive to help bitcoin grow, their incentive is already there rising the value of their stash
10925  Economy / Economics / Re: The $1 Million Dollar Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 10:58:03 AM
Bitcoin will worth millions because toilet paper devalue every year non stop, the question is what you can buy when that happen with that millions? a shit car? some burger?  Tongue

the real question is can bitcoin survive long enough to see its own  adoption and becoming mainstream and maybe reach these crazy price?, many are scared from this and avoid investing
10926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: November 01, 2015, 08:54:04 AM
actually it's pretty simple if you think about it, they need to buy it first, they cannot acquire it directly, if wages had been payed directly in bitcoin, i'm sure right now adoption would have been in course already

right now people need to do a logest way to use bitcoin instead of fiat, because of one more step, buying bitcoin...
10927  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: November 01, 2015, 08:51:11 AM
only one thing is certain, in 2020 with the third halving, miners are forced to leave if the price don't increase, so the price will increase for sure, otherwise bitcoin will die at 100%

so 2020 is the last year for bitcoin to remain in this stagnation
10928  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: November 01, 2015, 08:49:30 AM

But even $100.000 isn't a life-changing amount, sure, it's nice to have, but it's not like you can stop working after having $100.000 And wasting it on a car/house/holiday is stupid.

I might invest it to start a company or something, and in that way it might be lifechanging, but even than investing all of it would be risky. So i'd probably only risk a small portion of it.

$1M might change my life a bit. I will use half of that to improve my quality and invest the rest. Maybe 25% in bitcoin, and 25% in stocks and shares.

$1M ? Are you serious

he has 0.35 BTC LOL

Seriously in what 3rd world country do you live that you can get anywhere with less than 1 million dollars?

Even $1,000,000 isn't a lot of money anymore these days.

this is something that always interest me, how many think that you need tons of million to conduct a good life, no you don't need ton's of million, unless you like to buy expensive things, which in most case are useless, and only a way to tell the other that you're rich

i'm not interested in this, with 500k i could finish this life easily, 1 small house 50-100 square meters, 5k euro per year, and i'm done i can pay everything

foods cost me 200-250 per month, which is the major thing, the remaining stuff are clothes, cheap things, i don't like to spend too much in clothes

and then you have utility bills, which if you're alone should be a total of 50-100(including all of them) per month

then i have other money to buy videogame which i love, and part of my computer, smartphone every 3 years etc..., that's it, if you think i care about yatch/big house/traveling/etc..., no i don't give a damn about those stuff....
10929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween greetings from the Crypto crypt. on: November 01, 2015, 08:42:26 AM
Virtual currency sounds good, I think so does alternate currency.

I do think cryptocurrency is a good term but can also pretty confusing and sometimes off putting for the everyday user.

i would prefer digital currency, and not virtual, like they do not exist or something

digital give to bitcoin a more tangible aspect to me
10930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The lack of newbie friendly tutorials on: November 01, 2015, 08:37:11 AM
the problem is not the lack of tutorials but the fact that some of them may be too tech savy for general user/average joe, it seems that maybe with need a tutorial in forms of video, which would explain in a more simple way about bitcoin in general

people usually don't have time to read anymore
10931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 08:35:50 AM
yeah i see this as the sacred bible, for nerd every faithful should know about it already

but i would have made this exact topic two years ago when the price was high enough, it was a better time to celebrate 5 years of bitcoin
10932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 08:33:02 AM
For me it is that it's not that popular and many people have not even heard of it.

Transaction times and fees are also another problem!
Why would transaction fees be a problem? Transactions fees are usually very small, maximum I have paid was 0.0001BTC/KB. Credit cards and banks charge more than that. Transaction times is a problem as some online payment gateways required at least 1 confirmation.

maybe he was talking about the stress test event, there must be said also, that in the future, if bitcoin grow big, fees would not be negligeable anymore, they could be a problem

with bitcoin at 10k for example you have to pay $1 in fee already
10933  Economy / Speculation / Re: to buy or not to buy on: November 01, 2015, 08:29:53 AM
People don't dare to buy when the price is going down heavily. They always think it will go lower, and then they miss out on buying at such a low price. You need to have steel balls to buy when it's dropping fast.

That's when the regrets kick in: not buying when prices are too damn cheap only to see the price skyrocket. I've been buying at the lows and selling near the top for almost a year now, only to buy back in cheaper and enlarging my long-term stash. I'm pretty good now with my hodlings and planning to hold on to them for 5 more years.

I'm pretty sure it's a good time to buy at anytime under 400 myself, but that's just me. Wink

i would say under 300 now, before i would have said under 250, but it seems that we have a new solid checkpoint

400 is still not reachable easily, well if you are here for 10k, anything under it should be a must buy, but this is a different story...
10934  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 is the new barrier? on: November 01, 2015, 08:27:48 AM
i think bitcoin will hit $500 by end of year!!

i hope we are not going to increase so slowly within a time frame so long, yeah steady grow and all, but for now i prefer a good old bubble that increase the price drammatically and then a steady grow

because right now btc is massively undervalued
10935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware, the best thing that has happened to Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 08:24:49 AM
Ransomware cannot be a good thing for bitcoin.  Why are you trying to hype something that can potentially damage the community?

because they cannot be stopped anyway, so let's just do it our friend, and do an app, that maybe can increase the btc awareness

everythign that could help bitcoin grow is well accepted, also the fault jhere is not in bitcoin as usual, but on who is downloading an running the virus
10936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people REALLY use bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 08:23:38 AM
not so much for the time being, besides some little gaem bough on g2a, because if are zero with btc, instead paypal-shit ask for fee

but aside from this, i'm just holding right now, i'm not satisfied with the current price, i want 1k at least to start use bitcoin again
10937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where to trade USD / BTC on: November 01, 2015, 08:22:14 AM
I usually use cryptsy, but it's best to trade irl, as it's the safest.

not really, you should be careful with RL trading, you see what happened to burtw, here, he got arrested because they lured him into a trap

personally i would trade only with a bot, in a good low fee exchange
10938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: check it out Girls do use BTC! on: November 01, 2015, 08:21:06 AM
well nice mashup Cheesy girls should realize it, and start to use bitcoin.

I wonder why it's so rare for girls to use btc.....  Huh

mostly girls not explore it, especially about computer science. too busy with their instagram Cheesy

they are too busy with RL stuff, women are known to be more emotions oriented, this is a fact

they don't find hi-tech interesting because of this, in fact the left hemisphere is more toward logic the right more toward emotions, they use the latter more
10939  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: November 01, 2015, 08:19:34 AM

Remember the pizza guy with his 10.000 coins? think what you can buy in 2015 with all those coins.

Please stop using this argument. If not for the 'pizza guy' and others who were giving away hundreds if not thousands of coins, Bitcoin probably would never go off the ground.

That is right. We have to use bitcoin to give its value. If we all hold bitcoin as an investment, bitcoin has no value at all.

the nature of bitcoin itself, is promoting its own holding, this because it's very hard to get more bitcoin, unless you're willing to pay more

so if someone want to buy an house with his only 10 btc, he must wait for the price to skyrocket on the crazy level, this is true for the majority of little holders, and for their different purpose
10940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Hits Highest Level Since August on: November 01, 2015, 08:17:33 AM
Well since the price is dropping too much today,
I hope that it will stop at least at 300 dollars because it would be a huge dump.
What i really notice now is that the exchange rate for alt coins has been increased a bit.

The price for litecoin, Ethereum, Dash and many other altcoins also dropped. Maybe it is consolidation time.

Well most of other coins (alt coins) are directly depended from bitcoin price.
When the bitcoin price is increased their price is also increased.
The difference is in the exchange rate sometimes which makes some lost exchanging to bitcoin.
I think that we all agree that the price of this month was the highest of year and we hope for more in upcoming weeks.

this is possible because the same bot are playing on every market, thus they have the same money spreaded on multiple exchange, this mean that they manipulate everything in the same way

otherwise altcoin should increase when bitcoin decrease some times, but it only happen very rarely
