10961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: February 17, 2020, 02:06:47 PM
i remember STEAM using bitcoin as payment 2 years ago, but after that, they closed it. However, in the following years, i hope there is game that not only crypto as their box payment but as a theme so crypto will be more known to people.
We need another set for crypto to rise as another economic factor. Besides these gaming industries been so long stuck up with this kind theme of the game.

People keep thinking gamers will automatically be into Bitcoin -- but until they figure out that gamers actually care about gaming and not money, then we'll figure out how to make crypto a bit more suited to gamers.

See, as I said before, gamers will play and earn or keep stuff in Bitcoin or Playcoin or whatevercoin, they don't care, as long as they can use it and easily. Can't really do that for BTC at the moment. A tx in gamecoin is instant.

Now if you begin speaking to gamers about their pain points. For instance, like, if they buy that rare skin or super rare item, how many have been bought? How many did the devs really release into the wild? Non-fungible tokens should solve that problem, and you can even do it with Bitcoin, but they gotta understand that first. Stop calling it tokens for example;)

We've got quite a fixture for a Monday night, Chelsea vs Man Utd, this should be an interesting one, and I'm keen to see how Ighalo would fare in the Man United shirt.

I think this is the only season I've been betting on United in the league consistently (I bet on them also in Champs League last season, I still remember the sweet Juventus victory) and getting two 10/1 wins against City has to be so delicious. It's a weird kind of pleasure to see them win, knowing that they're still just floundering in mid table!

It's above 4/1 for them against Chelsea which still feels good value to me. Not sure Ighalo will score but you have a feeling there's a story in there somewhere for him to make an impact... if he even plays such an important fixture (or is even cleared as examplens shares).

@morvillz: same here, 7 and the current leader has 13, I think that's the highest I've seen ever in this multi-master. Shame I've been doing worse and worse every edition and if this really is the last, it was fun while it lasted.

Roma and Napoli are disappointments for me this season, as are Atletico to a certain extent. I want to add Wolves into the picture but to be fair they are still a work in progress.

I couldn't have been more wrong about Auba, he really fired the Gooners up, BUT 4-0 was probably a bit of a flattering result for them. Still, they'll love this, the fans. And I think, they deserve it. Arteta, trying to not smile like Wenger in presscon post game;)

Chelsea will probably win the game tonight actually, but United have been stung so often now it's probably going to work in their favour -- plus, they do have a way of turning up this season against fancier opponents. Isn't it strange that Chelski are considered fancier to United this season?

Game 1: Chelsea FC-Manchester United. United WIN @4.22. Sportsbet odds: 4.01

Looks like I hit on Derrick Jones (3 pointer) but struck out on the other two!

Anyway, I'd like to say thanks to OP for organising the games. I've done free comps in the past as well (2 years ago maybe?) and I know it's so hard to get people excited for some reason (yet they'll throng the chats for prizes less than a dollar!) so all efforts to liven up the community are appreciated.

I'll punt up a bit of prize money to rdbase if there's a next comp, see if we get any bites.
10966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 16, 2020, 04:13:37 PM
Ah, so Son did get the goal he deserves to win the game. Not sure Villa deserved the loss but there you go. Mou better pack this confidence up cause they've got Leipzig, Chelski and Wolves up next. Tough fixtures and even the current league leaders faced problems with that string of opponents!

but if this isn't a display of what's in it for Europe spots, then I don't know what is.
I am enjoying the match and hoping Tottenham to score but both team are displaying some good tactics. Villa are more into counter attacking. This match could end up with a draw with few more goals it seems.

Edit: Has anyone notice how good Reina is?

I've always known how good Reina is, and he was probably one of the first (I want to say first but I've got Liverpool-tinted glasses) in the Premier League to focus on good distribution to the forwards -- with him, Alonso and Gerrard all able to punt the ball up with purpose in those Rafa days, we had really good cause to feel confident in Europe.

10967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 16, 2020, 03:24:10 PM
Of all the Spurs game to miss out on, it's the one with 16 shots on/off goal from both sides with half an hour to go. Mourinho really does look intent on winning this (as they should be against Villa!) but if this isn't a display of what's in it for Europe spots, then I don't know what is.

Will be home in time for the evening game but this one looks a cracker already. Rooting for Son to get another, though a point might make them fight harder in Europe.
10968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 16, 2020, 01:33:21 PM
My line is really bad for Superbru for some reason so can't check what scores I put in for today, but I've placed a nice bet on Newcastle, sure SB will find a way to frustrate the Gooners with Jonjo rapiering in... Relief win wasn't it at Norwich? But nice to see no one on the team just us fans were nervous. Title won at Everton boys? Or earlier if Citeh crumble?

On way home, hoping to be in time for one game. Helluva qeekend for me, storm and rain.
10969  Economy / Speculation / Re: should I buy now? on: February 16, 2020, 12:48:58 PM
It is at this moment, when Bitcoin is at the boundary of $ 10,000 that there are huge risks for any investor, because a coin can decrease in price at any time.  but I always take into account the upcoming halving in May and expect a steady rise in the price of Bitcoin, not only until this date, but also after halving the rewards for miners.  Based on this, you can take a chance for a certain investment in bitcoin.  my expectations are based on figures from 2013 and 2016, when the same halving occurred.

Doesn't have any bearing at all really. Now, today, tomorrow, yesterday, 1 year from now, this is still a risk no matter how you see it. Am Bitcoin all the way, not looking back in the slightest and I hope for the best, as my skin is completely in the game but will I pour everything in? No way. This is still a risk no matter what or how it looks today. You bet it could still go down a lot, or go up a lot. I won't sugarcoat it if anyone asks and you can't afford to "take a chance" all in!

Tread carefully, mi amigos.

Well it was always going to be tough after all, only Barca gave us a HT win and even Ings couldn't save the Saints, poor guy. Out today and on rather inconvenient mobile and data so I'm not able to study the underdogs well (yeah, cause I do, you know). Arsenal have been letting down people all season and Auba hasn't had much luck with goals since the red card, so a Toon upset on the cards? I say yes.

10971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Uptrend Broken on: February 16, 2020, 11:03:07 AM
I wouldn't be so quick to call any trend reversals now, although I wouldn't have been so quick to call the bull run when people were lining the streets to welcome the parabola last week either!

Pullbacks and retracements well to be expected and it is a weekend after all on the back of massive gains. We'll know more tomorrow, and I'm still expecting many more weeks below 10k but it won't change much when we're still above old resistances.
10972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 15, 2020, 07:31:12 PM
@Pamoldar: Alisson saved them for sure, and not for the first time in the last few games we've had. I don't know, hard to say Liverpool are lucky when Firmino had a tap-in he should have converted and Keita had a goal laid on a plate but he shot at keeper, if anything Liverpool are unlucky not to have been 3-0 to the good but yeah, Alisson has been a real difference (plus VVD)... incredible to snatch goals from feet of strikers damn!

@ampere: I'm with tokes here. What Juve did to deserve the demotion and docking of points was corruption and plain cheating (match fixing). City's crime is white collar... cooking the books. Hope Liverpool board never consider such things. But as long as we recruit like Klopp AND keep our youth doors swinging, we won't need to resort to that.

@Harko: we live another day!

Weren't you the same guys who tried to the top-view Fortnite style game a few months back? Or was that someone else, could have sworn your name was in it.

Anyway, Bitcoin's been a big part of crypto gaming -- I still think people have yet to learn about how revolutionary provably fair truly is, and yes I hardly ever use the word "revolutionary"! But other than that the use of crypto is gaming is a good use case, but it can't be the only use case. People or gamers rather, they don't care much about the Bitcoin aspects of crypto... when they should! They'd just as easily use 100 other digital monies.
10975  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: February 15, 2020, 02:39:01 PM
Salah to score 2 tonight guys? And Robbo coming off his injury finally apparently, and City getting the fine and ban? Life keeps getting better =p
Watford to win the weekend? Of course!

BTW guys, ignore the trolls as LFC said, and everyone do the same from now on, and he'll get the message. The thing is, we keep responding to him and he gets the attention he craves so much, you know cause he doesn't have anything else to do. He's already proven to have taken money from people, and doesn't keep his promises to people who actually fell for his service. Let's not make life better for him by acknowledging him.

Thanks for the confirmation FJ, this makes it a really, really good contest to participate for just 1 mBTC. I've been really shitty at picking 1x2 but I do fancy my chances of getting at least one streak that's more than 5, and I especially don't see a draw in the first round of 16 matches.

Good luck to all, and BugSquasha, perhaps your bug is not replicable?
10977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 15, 2020, 12:15:11 PM
Totally crap. I had a big parlay with wolves to win (and what great value that was), but that wasn't even the point, this is yet another reason for me to hate VAR so far. Btw there is a bet for wolves to win a champs league spot at 24/1. Good for anyone or they can't win games enough?

Btw did anyone hear about City ban in CL? Huge news but I haven't read into it... Pep will leave almost for sure without european football. And they will focus fully on EPL damn. Even tougher for Pool to defend the title!
10978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 15, 2020, 10:20:57 AM
Nope, I got screwed by the draws as usual. I keep thinking I should pick draws but in the past legs I made the wrong calls anyway and wasted chances on underdogs. So I only got 2 so far, seriously though, Wolves shoulda won. Valencia shoulda too!

@morvillz I thought about it too, but they'll fancy their chances in both games at full strength. It's only a concern if it's less than 3 days apart.
10979  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Startup Crypto ATM Project (Europe) - BATM Network Profit Share (MVP) on: February 15, 2020, 09:11:34 AM
Good to hear, OP. I've been meaning to find some kind of reasonable way to invest in a bitcoin business that isn't mining and this does seem like something possibly profitable, but I've just never been able to find a reason why those that seem to not work don't, and then there are lessons to take from Bitcoin City (Arnhem) in Netherlands. Let's catch up privately!
10980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +27046 units on: February 15, 2020, 08:16:28 AM
Yeah, and now that Valencia got KO'd out of the Copa by Granada, they should have been all in on this one, plus that they need a Europa spot. But well, it turned out to be even, both full of attacking intent, though Valencia saw much more of the ball too bad!
