1101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 18, 2022, 04:08:49 PM
Definitely yes, trading journal not only helps you in avoiding the mistakes that you have already done it also helps in you finding novelty ideas about trading. I can bet that you will forget the learnings from a lost trade if you don't keep a journal because human memory is just limited. But a trading journal would every day remind you of the mistakes, especially when you are in a similar market situation which you have encountered before this will become even more effective.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should forget that there'll be 21M BTC on: March 18, 2022, 04:05:49 PM
Individuals should completely disabuse themselves of the notion that there will ever be 21 million Bitcoins

Taking lost and inaccessible coins into consideration, as well as Satoshi's 1M BTC lockup, there will never be more than 14M BTC available. Coins that have been lost are irretrievable.
Wallets that have been locked are inaccessible. And who knows what will become of Satoshi's incarceration. This number will steadily drop as adoption expands, as additional people with bad discipline, a lack of responsibility, or an inability to pay attention will also lose their coins. Bitcoin is obviously highly cheap, but it becomes much more so when you consider the premise that only 21 million Bitcoins will ever be created. If the larger crypto community and the financial world were aware of this, Bitcoin's price would be considerably higher right now.

What do you think?
Everyone knows the supply constraint but the question that everyone has is that whether there is a demand explosion which could probably happen in the near future? Because eventually pricing will be decided based on the demand explosion and not only the supply constraint, moreover one should not forget that utility of Bitcoin is derived from using it as a currency so if you aren't using it as a currency and just hodling it what good is bitcoin in that case??
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries where you have biggest changes to become rich from zero on: March 18, 2022, 12:37:09 PM
Canada and Australia I agree, in past few years these countries even have lesser racial discriminations which make them good countries for immigrants, but I feel same can't be said true for US, first of all it's not an easy task for a person to get working visa in US, especially if you are from a 3rd world country. but yes if you get into the country then obviously you can be rich if you compare yourself on a global level, won't say rich but you could be well settled.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine: Zelensky signed the law "On virtual assets" today on: March 18, 2022, 12:33:42 PM
Amidst the war, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law "On virtual assets", as the minister of digital transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov reports.
According to Fedorov, crypto assets became a powerful tool of financing the Armed forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the war, and the crypto market is one of the most dynamic markets of the digital economy, which is also actively developing in Ukraine. Fedorov says the law legalizes foreign and Ukrainian crypto exchanges, allows banks to open accounts for crypto companies, allows Ukrainians to protect their investments into virtual assets and means that the state guarantees court protection of the rights related to virtual assets.

Another step towards the future, another step toward crypto adoption in Ukraine. After the war, Ukraine will need anything it can use to boost the economy, and I don't think the state plans to miss out on the crypto industry as a way of doing that.
Excellent step, especially amidst this war scenario, Cryptocurrencies become even more important as there is no way that you can trust fiat currencies, you see how Russia is getting sanctions from all throughout the world, what if Ukraine retaliates and gets sanctions too from some countries, in such scenario it's better to put money into cryptos, very forward looking decision by Zelensky
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crisis its good on: March 17, 2022, 07:42:49 PM
As things will become cheaper also good to create business as everybody will do cheaper work.
Central banks will hike rates no question it will create huge demand for money so lets not waste our money and use it to buy cheaper things.

Global things what u buying and selling will be more expensive.
Local things cheap cheap houses cheap local food cheap workers.

Real estate will get biggest hit in the world as all real estate is 80% bubble so 80% correction is asap as we all know this.
I didn't get it why would central banks increase rates in case of a a economic crisis? Rather central bank would decrease rates in such situations to ensure there is easy availablity of money in hands of people and demand increases. Talking about real estate i don't think this 80% correction would happen in all the countries, a big factor that blossoms the real estate sector in developing countries is black economy, therefore if prices correct even by 30% people would buy real estate fanatically ending up in price stability.
1106  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BIDEN TO SIGN BITCOIN, CRYPTO EXECUTIVE ORDER THIS WEEK on: March 17, 2022, 07:31:32 PM
Obviously yes this actually is great, some people might think it's not good for the crypto community or what but I feel the quickly the legislation kicks in. The easier it will be for the big merchant bankers to bring crypto products to mainstream stock market. Not only that the crimes related to cryptos can also be reported now and will be addressed by the correct authorities which have adequate knowledge of the subject. So I think legislation in this way is better.
1107  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 17, 2022, 03:37:17 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there is any forum, website, subreddit or a threading discussion in this forum about what the whales are going to do or if there is a channel where they talk/share their next moves.

I've read that some users here read about this kind of topic but they didn't share any post or link to the source.

Thank you for your time.
Please do let me in if you find such a channel/ group Tongue the truth is there are tons of such groups but to be in such a group you have to be a whale yourself because these whales predict the market because the make the market, and if you want to join the group you should also be giving them some value so that they should take you in, with your small capital you won't be able to give any such value therefore these whales won't really invite you in such groups.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to go in crypto lets leave fiat cutrency on: March 17, 2022, 03:34:42 PM
Im ready lets go but also assets prices need to reset and then again slowly to gain value of prices.
So we buy  house with. 10 doge coins so its equal to 500k yes there will be more people who against this they might say its not fair ...but we dont care life is not fair.
Im ready to go full in crypto and im sure all u are ready to get all the assets in the world for crypto.

As war situation fiat curremcy might not used anyways for sometime in some european countries to get properties with btc
Only 1% of population cannot decide which currency to use to trade all the assets, yes it can be a good start if you do it on personal level, but I doubt it will be a very successful thing until a lot of people join it. Moreover the problem is that the currency you are using to buy these assets is itself too volatile, it's pricing itself has been too uncertain, buying assets using such a volatile currency is itself a pain in the ass.
1109  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanction is the right option? on: March 17, 2022, 03:28:36 PM
Diplomatically sanctions are absolutely the right option. Not only because it persuades the people of the country to lobby the government to stop the war. But yes it's effect on the country doing the sanctions is very harsh too. Not only it weakens the overall economic condition of the country but think of that specific business who was involved in exporting the good to that country also some businesses which won't be able to complete their orders as the part which was necessary for the product couldn't be imported. But to stop the war I don't see any other peaceful option which doesn't directly kills people.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 13, 2022, 07:50:46 PM
Three days left in this match and there is nothing Sri Lanka can do to save this match, they need 419 runs to win the match and with the team they are having and they pitch they are playing it will be a huge surprise if they could bat the third day, it is a matter of time that Sri Lanka would fold with the way the pitch is behaving and i am not expecting the match to go to the 4th day.
Yes there is nothing much left in this game to discuss. A good all round performance by Indian team and miseries of Srilanka continues to increase. Lyer is new gem for India in Test for sure. He has played lots of T20Is but not many tests. With kohli failing in every test innings bcci must consider giving some new talent a chance.

It's time for BCCI to find a replacement for Kohli. Kohli has not been in form for a long time. The BCCI still kept him with the squad. He has been given plenty of time to return to the form. But he failed. India has a lot of talented young players. Now BCCI should give a chance to these young players in Kohli's place and give Kohli some rest.
Theoretically this might be right, he hasn't had the best performance in last two years, but you will say this only if you compare it with Kohli what he was in earlier years, if you take reference of an average batsmen his stats aren't that bad, he hasn't scored a hundred but has a decent batting average, but yes india wants some impactful innings from him and not just average batting, i feel it's just the captaincy that is actually keeping him going otherwise he would also be a fly in the eye of selectors as there is such a big competition for a spot in test cricket team.
1111  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA will also suffer. on: March 13, 2022, 07:20:09 PM
USA imports half of its uranium from Russia and their ally country Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. From this uranium, the USA produced 20% of their total power supply according to the world nuclear association. USA and their ally EU countries implemented various sanctions on Russia but this sector is still open for trade. Russian company Rosatom takes care of trading uranium to other countries so the USA can do sanction this company? It seems the USA is having a hard time cutting off trade with Russia.
This is interesting, I didn't know that US imports it's uranium from Russia, Moreover, you are right US does produce around 19% of it's electricity from Nuclear sources which means once the uranium reserves of US dry up it has to looked up to some country to import the same. But I think two biggest producers Canada and the Australia are great allies of US, they would be more than willing to export them the same and cancel contracts of other countries just in case this sort of situation arises, so technically US might not find itself in that bad of a situation if Russian company denies to export the same.
1112  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 13, 2022, 07:13:38 PM
With the Russian invasion of Ukraine, almost all sectors & big businesses in Russia have been hit with huge Sanctions against them both from the United States, the United Kingdom and other internationally related bodies. Sanctions have hit the Russian central bank, other small russian banks, big business and companies in Russia from airlines to manufacturing have been affected as well and many assets private and government owned has been frozen.

-Do you think Russia can survive, and how can they survive the harsh economic realities that they are about to experience? Are the sanctions sufficient to push Putin into a decision to stop the invasion?
Truth is no economy can survive in solace these days, even the countries that are putting up these sanctions are also really hurting their economy due to these sanctions and actually have to find viable substitutes sources of the resources that Russia used to Provide to them. I think it's just a matter of a few weeks before people of Russia especially the riches of Russia begin to put pressure on Putin to retrace back it's forces from Ukraine. No one wants to lose money in the long run, for government, it's not a big deal they can put the bill on the people but for billionaires, it's their hard-earned money they won't let Putin
1113  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits USA on: March 13, 2022, 07:02:35 PM
Haha US is putting up sanctions on Russia not knowing how their taxpayers are going to suffer when it would come to footing the bill of all this. Moreover I even read yesterday US approved a $13 Billion budget for aid to Ukraine. This is like adding fuel to fire of budgetary deficit already going on in the U.S. I am more surprised to see how US is not ready to accept that it's economy is actually burning and when it comes to repayment of national debt they are going to suffer a lot.

I don't understand... Why are they even still collecting taxes from the tax payers when they can print money and tax everybody with inflation? Why are they pretending? Just remove all the income taxes and print whenever you need any money.

They are already doing this but it kills the purpose of paying taxes. So... Why would anybody pay any taxes now?
Haha I don't think you understand economics, the balance of payments, and balance of trades, actually you do need some real money to settle up the old debts if the government would remove taxes economy would run up into an hyperinflationary situation, inflation would run upto 50-60% and even worse it might become Zimbabwe or Venezuela like situation, Fiscal deficits look good only if they are there upto certain extent, think of it inflation is 5-6% when fiscal deficit is around 10%, with increase of every 5% in fiscal deficit inflation would grow up at almost double or triple the rate, your solution is practically impossible.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upliftment of Crypto Ban of Nigerian Banks on: March 13, 2022, 06:55:29 PM
It is one year plus when Nigerian Government banned Crypto and instructed all the banks to stop using crypto for transaction in the country.

A Financial Marketing Journalist, Olumide Adesina gives the reason why Nigerian Apex Bank should uplift the crypto ban in the country.

https://nairametrics.com/2022/03/11/why-cbn-needs-to-lift-crypto-ban-on-nigerian-banks/

Upon the ban of the currency, Nigerian youths still use the currency effective.
This is a story of almost every developing country, they are just banning cryptos unknowing of the actual consequences of the same, the problems that are coming due to this is that folks are now circumventing the banking system and doing transactions using P2P, this has led to even lesser accountability in the hands of government and at the same time made cryptos even riskier, I think instead of doing these blanket bans it's better if the governments just decide to regulate crypto by allowing transactions only through KYC exchanges and shut down p2p where traceability is not available, these would be much better for governments themselves in the longer run.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 12, 2022, 06:49:01 PM
India   VS   Sri lanka

India scored only 252 runs in the first innings. But Sri Lanka's situation is worse. They lost 6 wickets to collect only 85 runs in the third session. And most likely they will lose all their wickets in the first session of the next day. I guess we will see the result of the match in 3 days. So far, India is far ahead. But to win, the batsmen have to play well in the second innings.
Yes I am damn sure this Match again will end within 3 days. It looked like a decent day for srilanka when they bowled out india for 252 but now they lost 6 wickets also and within one hour tomorrow they will get all out and still will give india a very healthy lead. This time not the the spinners but the fast bowlers delivered for India.
3 wickets to Bumrah and and 2 to shami.

The Sri Lankan bowlers looked like they had bowled brilliantly. But when Sri Lanka started batting and started losing wickets very fast, I realized that the performance of Indian batsmen was good enough. The pitch supports the bowlers. Collecting about 300 on such a pitch is enough to win. Sri Lanka may lose all their wickets before 170. Then if India is able to give a target like 320 then India will win.
170? I would be surprised if they even cross 120, I feel no matter how low India scores in the second innings as well, there is no stopping India from winning this match, if you count the batsmen only Dickwella is there on the pitch and on the other end the tail has already started.
Australia vs Pakistan second test match started in karachi today. So far its Australia that is in command, as they have scored 79 runs without losing any wicket. From Australia side Mitchell Swepson is making his test debut, so far he has played only 7 T20Is. Faheem Ashraf from Pakistan has found his way back in the team. Let's see won wins this game.

The pitch doesn't provide any sort of support for the bowlers. Once again, this is going to be another boring draw. Usman Khawaja is getting close to a century, while Steven Smith is nearing his half-century. A total in excess of 400-450 looks very much possible for Australia, but they need to bowl out Pakistan for something less than 300 in order to win this match. And given the pitch conditions, it looks very much impossible. Don't understand the purpose of having these sort of meaningless matches. Another one is going on in West Indies, against England.

I have seen lot of criticism being done on social media for making dead pitches. I understand that home teams make the pitches in their favor in order to minimize the strength of the opponents but this does not mean that you start making dead pitches which produces no result.

After the first match I was like okay both the teams might have great batsmen, but if all the matches go like this obviously no team would like to play on such tracks, These days bowlers are given much more importance in test crickets, Pitches have to be suitable for either pacers or atleast spinners otherwise no point playing matches. Even India has impressed remarkably in this context, I remember how 15 years ago test matches in the subcontinent used to get scores of 500-600+ you don't see that hapenning these days.
1116  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank’s failure on: March 12, 2022, 06:38:52 PM
Today we have witnessed how easy is for the banks to freeze all assets that people rely on. The economy across the globe will change, trading will be much more difficult given the current situation. Over the last few years a lot of people have been affected by disrupting events and virus outbreak being unable to work and earn to support their families. It comes to the point where trusting the banks will no longer apply. Even there is war or not, the population still needs to work, travel and move money where needed. Other people have to travel from one country to another and if credit/debit cards are suspended, there will be no trade. The problem occurred in 2008 is just around the corner waiting to burst again but this time is different. We have to look at alternative ways to produce and distribute energy.
Really true. Globalization now would become a very doubtful concept, before this incident world was thinking that the old age war type scenarios between big countries are now thing of the past. All the countries now know how to remain together in peace. But this recent Russia attacking Ukraine and West attacking back with sanctions thing has actually shown people that it is still not an easy task to trust other countries with your funds. Talking about traveling and trading, I think it still won't stop, the world today has reached such a level that no matter what every country is dependent on each other for various resources. So that obviously would still carry on. With integration of metaverse travel might become even less important.
1117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 12, 2022, 06:28:27 PM
I have been into trading from the beginning of 2020 and it is 2 years now, I have been losing right from the start up to now. I have read it before that most traders later become swing traders after many losses, I have becoming to think this is true because I have been losing ever since.

I have seen the market to be volatile for two years now, I have made some analyses to later know that swing trading is better than scalping and day trading, I can be wrong but I am right that most traders will make profit in swing trading than scalping and day traidng because the later are riskier.

This is not about swing trading though but about scalping and day trading, are you making profit from it? Maximum number of votes is 3 for each and everyone.
If a trader knows the key to making a profit in any one of the time frames, it's just a matter of some practice before he can become an expert trader in other time frames too. Shorter time frame isn't riskier, it's just that a shorter time frame gives you very less time to make decisions regarding your trade, you get in that adrenaline rush and make hasty decisions that prove to be wrong. In swing trading, you know you are here for a longer time so you tend to let the trade flow freely and reach it's destination. Apart from this, there is absolutely no difference between both of them. But yes only due to this reason you would see a lot of more people have made profits in swing trading than any other smaller time frame trading.
1118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: March 12, 2022, 06:18:48 PM
Because there are so many crypto signal providers now, it's hard for me to pick the right one. Many of these crypto trading signal providers have a good record of giving out good signals, but some are only in it for the money. This is what you need to know about these people. So, which is the best source of crypto trading signals, and which one should you use to make money?
"You", yes you read it right, You are the only best crypto service provider who can advise you on how to trade in crypto, the rest of all are just scams. All of them are in it for just money, 90% of them can't even make themselves a profit, how can you expect they will make you some profit. I feel the only way to be profitable is when you yourself would learn trading using technical anlysis and join like minded group of traders, only then you can make profit in the market in real sense, otherwise you will just be trying different signals group. Signals group might give you the coin to trade in, but profit can only be made using the correct risk management and mindset.
1119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaires and Bitcoin on: March 12, 2022, 06:03:16 PM
If you were a billionaire in the United States, how terrified would you be to see a foreign national's assets and bank accounts blocked for no reason of their own?

If you were an American Billionaire, how terrified would you be to witness a *Foreign Billionaire* having their assets and bank accounts seized for no reason of their own?

Billionaires worldwide are fearful at the moment. They can only be rescued from the sinking ship by Bitcoin lifeboats. The whole population is being saturated, including people who have never touched a drop of water in their lives.
Exactly on point. This is so foolish of the western government to make individuals suffer for their leader's decision. This thing that west has just done would ensure that no billionaires keep their investments in these western countries, they can at any time on their wish decide to block your access to your foreign assets, seize your accounts based on what suits them. I liked how Binance and other foreign exchanges rejected the plea of these government to seize crypto assets of Russian citizens, even then I would suggest one should always keep their assets in private key so that no government in the world can decide when you control the asset and when not.
1120  Economy / Economics / Re: Master card, Paypal, America express suspending services to Russians on: March 11, 2022, 08:58:30 PM
I know for sure after this war world is not going to be the same. Believe it or not there would be a unsaid cold war starting again in the world. Every country now will make sure they are self dependent and remove this fake cloak of globalization because when time comes other countries will make you do things as per their wishes. I understand Russia is wrong, it's entirely wrong in igniting violence and an all direct war against any country still moving forward countries like Russia, China and North Korea will make sure they have no dependencies on other countries for th it economic needs.
