1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA FINALS (Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers) GAME 4!!! on: June 10, 2017, 02:59:16 AM
The odds of Cleveland winning on major sports betting sites for game four has significantly increased as it is indeed win or go home. I don't think that Cleveland has any chance of winning the series but I do think that if they make the necessary adjustments they are able to slow down the pace of the game a bit and make the Warriors have to set up on offense and actually get into deep in the shot clock instead of easy transition buckets which is what warriors love to do.

After all, lebron isnt going to make this an easy win for KD we know that. So many people are now comparing him to KD but the thing is KD is 4 or 5 years younger than him and has 3 all stars and another MVP in his team. So it's really an unfair comparison.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we suggest bitcoin to people after this? on: June 10, 2017, 02:43:29 AM
Well, I can successfully suggest bitcoin to my trading friends

Indeed, trading I'd still an integral part of the bitcoin ecosystem no matter how you look at it. Basically everyone that uses bitcoin will have at least speculated on its price or other altcoins concerned during their bitcoin career. And this aspect of bitcoin is not as affected as other areas by the rising transaction fees, such as faucets and micro earnings sites who have to process significant amounts of inputs and outputs in a single day.

I'd also argue that bitcoin is still a good long term investment no matter what transaction fees are. Because as long as you save up enough bitcoin in your wallet. These people in Venezuela for example is currently experiencing high inflation. Holding bitcoin would be an excellent way to hedge against the ever depreciating national currency.
1103  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wall of coins? Scam Site? on: June 10, 2017, 01:40:03 AM
You most likely have lost your money. I have never heard of this site prior to this issue raised by you and I've been involved in crypto for at least 4 years now. Site looks good but design can't be trusted. Sorry but you shouldn't have trusted some random entity over the Internet eith so much cash.

Use localbitcoins next time, you are protected by their in built escrow and you are dealing with other people. Launch a scam accusation if their support does not respond so that others know that this is a scam as well.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian's own Bitcoin - What will be the impact to the original Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2017, 12:02:01 AM
Russian is planning to have its own version of Bitcoin backed by the Sberbank.

"Sberbank CEO Herman Gref has “agreed” on the development of a Russian national cryptocurrency with the country’s central bank.  Sberbank is Russia’s major state-controlled bank. In unofficial reports from local news aggregators, the so-called “Russian Bitcoin” will use Sberbank as its base and will be “the only cryptocurrency freely available for sale and purchase” in the country. “All other [cryptocurrencies] will only be available via exchanges or trading platforms,” the Telegram news channel DeСenter reports Friday."
https://cointelegraph.com/news/russian-bitcoin-will-be-countrys-only-freely-tradable-crypto-sberbank-ceo

What type of impact(s) will this have on the original Bitcoin?  Would the Russian Bitcoin survive?  Would the original Bitcoin be treated as a lower "second tier" crytocurrency in Russia or even in the world?  Would the original Bitcoin value goes down?

What is your thought on this?

It's funny that they're finally turning to blockchain technology because if i remember correctly banks in Russia aren't really functional at all. Most people use a payment processor(either webmoney or yandex money, maybe others as well) instead of having a bank account.

What impact does this have on bitcoin? Nothing in my opinion because IT'S NOT EVEN DECENTRALIZED. They're using it as just a way to conveniently keep a ledger of everything so that hacks can't occur and someone changing the entries. The banks still have control over everything. It's not like bitcoin at all.

If you followed the news recently you would have also realised that russia is planning on trackng everything on the bitcoin network - it's completely absurd just as this idea of their own crypto is.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ridiculously high *transaction Fees* needs to be fixed asap! on: June 09, 2017, 11:31:30 PM
last fees : 0,0006 BTC (320 sat./B) and 0,00016 BTC (86 sat./B).
proof : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1417123.msg19393385#msg19393385

confirmed with 6 block after 45min.

no problem, here.
use a real software or a complet node if your software can not calculate the real fee of a transaction.

 Roll Eyes

Are you sure you didn't use a transaction accelerator for this? Unless your transaction was super big or has inputs that are super old i don't see this happening. I've seen people send with 150 sats/byte and still not getting confirmations for days. You might just be a lucky bastard...  Tongue

Doing this is risky af right now. You're basically risking not getting your coins to the destination for a few months, and this means that your transaction will stay unconfirmed when the UASF happens. Maybe that's bad, maybe it's okay. But the safest thing to do is to just hold your coins in a secure wallet.

And what do you mean by "real software"? Are you saying all the rest of the wallets which say you need to use 400sats/byte is not real software?
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From faucet to thousands on: June 09, 2017, 10:59:43 PM
Do you know a good strategy to increase faucet satoshis (300-500) to couple thousand?

All in that baby and just keep on doing it.

Mate sooner or later you will have to come to the realization that the odds in gambling does not change when you use a certain strategy. It doesn't matter at all if you are using martingale or just yoloing your funds. The odds of you doubling your money is still 50% minus the house edge.

Also I'm pretty sure primedice faucet is already a couple of thousand satoshis if not bigger. I know that bitsler faucets can go up to 3.5k sats. It's not really worth the time and the effort though to sit in front of your computer all day doing captchas.
1107  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ticket #181654 Poloniex.com [SCAM on MARGIN][UNRESOLVED]. Proofs inside. on: June 09, 2017, 09:43:27 PM
They added ppl in support. But no answer from 28 May!

That's not nice to hear at all. How long is it since you sent the support message? Based on the timestamp of your OP it seems like that it's been at least two weeks. This is completely unacceptable because they should notify you via email whenever something goes on with your account. However I can't verify the validity of your claims, so I'll have to say only if your claims are legit.

There's a very low chance of hearing back from then at all. I expect them to pull a Gox or a crytpsy soon because they've closed down their trollbox and everything is a mess. If you still have cash on their site, withdraw it asap.

Also file your complaint at suepoloniex.today.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: June 09, 2017, 09:30:28 PM
Hi,

Even just a year ago bitcoin was useable... now the fees are about 10x what the banks charge. Seems like its changing from a peer-to-peer money system for everyone into yet another convenient way for rich people to exchange funds!

What went wrong> And more to the point, who is responsible? What can be done to fix it?
Thanks
Andy

Even when bitcoin fees are this high it is still relatively cheaper than international transactions because each transaction will set you back at least $50 depending on where your money is headed. Also if you are using certain services then they may even take a cut from your transaction, something that the bitcoin network does not do.

But still this means that small amounts cannot be sent without losing a big chunk of btc from the transaction. The UASF in August should solve this problem at least partially. Until then just wait and try to not send multiple transactions but instead use one single transaction.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is broken on: June 07, 2017, 05:57:39 PM
i though satoshi wanted bitcoin to become a currency not just another stock in the DOW

it is now more expensive to use bitcoin to buy or transfer anything than to use your banks visa card.

the whole point of bitcoin was to "phase out" the big banks or whatever not to become the next goldman sachs

if any bank charged 10$ to withdraw 25$ it would be shut down by the government.
That is true indeed, it is pretty funny to imagine yourself a bank that would charge 10$ for any transfer because it is so unreal that it makes the whole thing very funny Smiley
But remember about people, goverment does not have to close such a bank because there would be simply no clients, right?
And as we can see, there are still many people using bitcoin, to be honest actually the number of people in the blockchain network is constantly rising and it is rather obvious that price is not the only engine of that.
SegWit would have fixed the thing so we still have to wait, but still bitcoin is working and it is a great tool for many things!
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 07, 2017, 12:56:59 PM
There are so many possibilities that it makes me really wonder about what is going to happen in next 10-20 years in cryptocurrency world, for example we may see some extremely strange events when quantuum computers will be sold comercially, because for now they are only in possesion of governments.

In my opinion, we are actually not going to use bitcoin in 2040. Take a look what happened since 2000 to nowadays- 2017. There were so many new inventions, technology, projects and great new companies that it is almost unbelievable how fast do we develop ourselves. Imagine what might happen through next 20 years!

Bitcoin core will be simply too old, the technology is already old-fashioned if we compare it to some other, new altcoins. We have problems with fee size and confirmation time, but  changing to other crypto would make it fixed instantly, thanks to the system! that what makes me think that bitcoin is going to die in about 20 years from now.
1111  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: June 07, 2017, 12:40:37 PM
Im actually really impressed!
Im sure that you have put a lot of heart into this post, because I see the effort you had to take to write so many words, but to be honest I dont think you had to.
I understand that you made the post so you wanted to explain why exactly everyone cannot be rich in the same time, but that was always a very clear thing for me, and I think that also for many people.

Take a look at this from the other side: bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and many kinds of online activities that provide income do not really make anything useful for the world, society and the planet. All this is just virtual!
You can make something good for humanity and develop some kind of a programme that might be useful in some part of the industry, but someone has to do the "dirty job" right?

We should focus on paying enough to people who do things like that, they also should have happy life!
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even the great Firewall cant stop Bitcoin trading in china on: June 07, 2017, 12:12:39 PM
Since PBOC gave some guidelines, the chinese exchanges have suspended the withdrawal of bitcoins, it seems people have shifted to localbitcoins.Even the great firewall cant stop the digital gold trading in china.
Can I ask you why do you think that Great Firewall made by China can stop chinese population from using bitcoin?
Obviously, there is only one real bitcoin, bitcoin core. If the China authorities would decide to ban bitcoin, or just block all the websites related to it, then im sure they would have some cryptocurrency in there, but just made by their nation.

Im sure that china goverment is very smart, because such a big and well-developed country (after all, it is one of the most powerful countries) needs good leaders.
They have to know that blocking bitcoin and cryptocurrencies overall is stupid, because they can be very useful for society plus even for goverment, if people will pay taxes as they should!

Im sure that we should not be worried about bitcoin situation in China, at least that is my opinion.
1113  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E SCAM! Let us organize something against these criminals on: June 06, 2017, 07:56:36 PM
Btc-e has notorious customer service that is comparable to Yobit which is absolutely crazy. I can't believe that there are so many people using them still when so many things could go wrong when they deposit, trade and withdraw on that site.
Quite sad to hear about it. I thought that BTC-e was one of the most reliable exchanges out there. I opened an account with them a few weeks back (just for ETH/BTC trading), and till now I haven't faced any issues. Also, I was quite happy that they didn't asked for any ID proof.

Reliable? No. Trustworthy? No. But long running? Yes.

Good luck with filing a complaint. I don't think personally that it's going to make any difference to the way they handle things. They don't even have a physical address for you to visit.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees!!! on: May 28, 2017, 04:54:11 AM
If you cash out by bitcoins at a casino and the casino doesn't add enough fees for fast confirmation. If the price of bitcoin drops a lot. Should the casino be held responsible for the price differences in which you cashed out at and the current loss in btc prices?

In my opinion no because they could be carrying the risk of bitcoin appreciating in the time withdrawal confirms as well. But they don't ask you for more bitcoins back do they? If there is a delay with the actual transaction being sent onto the network then yeah it should be their fault. If they blatantly use a low fee then yeah it's their fault too, but if the blockchain is just congested and they put a normal fee(like 200sats/byte) then it's not their fault.

If you're worried about this, use dogecoins. The blockchain is fast as s**t compared to the bitcoin blockchain and withdrawal fees are 1 doge.
1115  Economy / Speculation / Re: what happened for the market? on: May 27, 2017, 05:27:33 AM
Why the price going down from 2600$ to 1988$?
Is there any poilcy from state?

No. It was just a bubble bursting. Any bubble would have to burst sooner or later. And obviously the price was in a bubble state all along. And as far as i know Australia was actually just announcing to legalise bitcoin and get rid of the GST on bitcoin purchases which should have had a positive effect on btc.

It's actually doing quite well though because $2000 was something that i would have never dreamed of even a few weeks ago. And only at the start of this week did we hit $2000, so basically we're still at the price point of the start of the week.

Hopefully people have cashed out a bit of their bitcoins before this crash happened, otherwise it's going to be a pain to hear all the stories that people have just like in 2013 when they bought at the ATH. But for those who did, don't worry because i'm sure that some day in the near future we'll see the price slowly climb up again and you'll have a chance to sell then Wink
1116  Economy / Marketplace / Re: how earn btc from online??? on: May 25, 2017, 08:16:39 AM
hey...I want to know easily  earn btc from online...can you give some tips about it...someone only tell me that earn btc easily bt they not given any tips...plz...anyone help me

Well it really depends on what you want to do. First of all i don't think you speak good english so that means that there will be a lot less potential job offers for you in the bitcoin field. Nearly all of the paid jobs will require someone with good english.

I suggest that you participate in community talk on this forum, try to improve your grammar, and at the same time try to rank up your account. Then you can maybe join a signature campaign and earn a few bucks every day.

You really shouldn't take bitcoin as a major income source though as the price is very volatile and opportunities come and go very quickly. Get a day job first, and then earn btc in your spare time, not the other way around.
1117  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible big Crash coming within 10 days on: May 25, 2017, 08:01:48 AM
I think and I am predicting that a BIG CRASH is coming within the next 10 days.

Why?
Because there is no investment or asset that can increases itw own prices the way Bitcoin is doing, less than a month ago the price was at 1,300 usd and now is at 2,500 usd this is crazy and it is not possible.

Actually this has happened back in 2013 when the price falt like a rocket been knocked down to the ground.

Actually if you ask any profesional investor in the world what do they think, the will really tell you that it is too beautiful to be truth, and that you should stay away frrom anything that shines like gold, without been gold, because it is 100% that is a ponzi scheme.

So becareful and sell as soon as possible, before the boat sinks.

I hope also will not happen because I also like it, and I am amaze with what have happened, but lets be realistic, is impossible this utopic situation.

I think i agree with you that there is going to be a correction soon because simply this has just been way to crazy over the past few days to make this sustainable at all, but i don't think that it's going to be a huge crash.

The floor is pretty much set in stone at $1500 and that's the lowest we're going. I believe that we're not going to clear $2000 even.

When this correction comes I believe it's a great time to load up on cheap coins, if you are a long term holder. We may not see prices like this sub-2000 any time soon in the future... But right now, i'm getting some popcorn and ready to watch this action Tongue
1118  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have BTC looking for PayPal on: May 25, 2017, 07:52:33 AM
Never trust someone who is new here or with no trading history/reputation. If that guy wants to be trusted, he should send BTC first to a trusted member.

For those of you who already sent money to him, make a Paypal dispute immediately. I smell scam here.

Indeed. You should never send to someone that is a newbie and have trust score of zero...

That's why escrow is always the way to go - otherwise you're certainly going to get ripped at least once in your bitcoining life and that shouldn't be something that you want, getting ripped off in cyberspace and not being able to track the criminal down.

Dispute asap is what i would say as well, don't waste any time. Also as atris said make sure you open a scam accusation on this forum as well so the scammer don't rip anyone else off whilst you dispute on paypal.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Casino and dice games? on: May 15, 2017, 05:08:21 AM
Hey.
I was just wondering to myself, do you guys believe that online casinos are totally legit, or do you also believe that some of them are rigging outcomes.
One of the reason I prefer to bet on sports and not on dice games or at online casinos is that I can't actually know if the casino is paying me as they should, or they tell me that I lost while I was supposed to be a winner.

Does the small house edge(compared to sports betting) worth the chance of the casino rigging the outcomes, making you lose sometimes while you were supposed to be the winner?

i think that all forms of gambling have the possibility for the outcomes to be strategized to insure the gambler loses even if he should have won.
its the price you pay for gambling... you shouldn't ever trust anything that says WIN BIG! no matter how hardcore legitimate it seems there will always be a croaking backdoor just out of sight. but gambling is fun and addicting to others so thats not gonna be enough to stop people from making bets.
1120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recovery on: May 15, 2017, 02:58:48 AM
Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I discovered when trying to access my bitcoin wallet that I had misplaced both by seed phrase and password for the wallet.  Having saved bitcoin for over a year into this wallet you can imagine my dispair upon learning that without the seed phrase or password  I had effectively lost this money forever!

After struggling for weeks to find any hope of recovering my bitcoin, I was pointed in the direction of a person called Dave at http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com by a member on this forum.  Dave was a fantastic support throughout.   Not only did he successfully recover my password an enable me to access my bitcoin again but he gave proactive advice and support to me on how to transfer my coin and setup a secure new wallet once I had gained control of the lost wallet.  I couldn't recommend Dave enough to anyone struggling to recover their  wallets.  if you are dispair ad need someone trustworthy to help get in touch with him

Cheers
Matt

That situation happens to often and most commonly ends with whoever recommended "dave" actually being "Dave" followed by you finding out that this person is actually "NotDave or AntiTrueDave" and then they will recover your bitcoins for you immediately followed by making them dissapear like hoodini with a "poof" and then reappearing with a "swish" and a "durp" right dead center in the middle of there wallet and you cant do anything about it. so i doubt the recommendation is really a recommmendation lol.
