With all this volatility I am shocked that TERA has gone quiet.

He's too busy making perfectly executed trades to the cent of every top and bottom and saying I told you so to everyone in his path.

We are getting to the point where I can't even feel bad for anyone greedy enough to wait for lower prices. I'm about 85% in, just about ready to go all in. We have seen mid 400s a few times now so anyone who doesn't capitalize deserves to be punished for opening boxes 3,4,5 rather than taking the beautiful prize that was presented to them.

Confirmed.

There has to be a counterbalance to all the cultish posts of the always-bullish people who think that prices are always going straight to the moon tomorrow regardless of any and all TA and that every unfavorable event is always made up.

It was us cultists who kept this project alive when it dropped from $32 to $3 and stayed there for a year. The fraction of investors like me who will willingly go down with the ship are the support base that gives BTC what some call "intrinsic" value. Without us, this really would be a Ponzi Scheme. Contributing to positive change in the world is just as important as ROI.

It was the cultists who kept the project alive, not the developers?
It really doesn't matter if the price goes down to 3$ or 0,3$, what matters is the general utility of bitcoin. The price matters to those who want to get rich with speculation. Sadly bitcoin is built in a way that is extremely attractive to speculation. A coin, that is more about utility then speculation, will actually create a positive change in the world. To tell, that your plans of getting rich by speculation, is bringing positive change to the world, is high level of self-righteousness.

No one would suggest that developers aren't the drivers of the technology. But supporters play a key role as well in spreading a positive influence on the technology and it's potential.

If the goal is to increase adoption, then supporters, regardless of price, will help increase that over people who are constantly bashing it and spreading FUD to benefit their own position.

Then there are people who just come across as obnoxious regardless of their position. They show little respect for others in their posts.

Well put.

I read lots of bearish posts, I read everything to try to make good decisions and be informed. I don't like reading obnoxious redundancy over and over while I do.

I'm so glad this little breakout is happening. phew. now it might hold relatively still so I can enjoy my weekend before the next drop. I hope.

You've gone from a good poster to Fonzie/Mah status in a short period of time. Welcome to the ignored group.

Nostradamus. Surprised you're not filthy stinking rich by now seeing as your word is the Bitcoin bible and everyone follows.

It's obvious that the better posters that were here have flocked somewhere else. Hard on the eyes these days.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or Finra, on Tuesday issued an investor alert on bitcoin, saying digital currencies are "more than a bit risky." The agency said the alert was intended to caution investors about the risks inherent in buying and using digital currencies like bitcoin. That includes risks from speculative trading and potential fraud related to bitcoin companies, the alert said. The move came after the collapse of the bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox in late February, which filed for bankruptcy in Japan and the U.S. said it lost customers' bitcoins. "Digital currency such as bitcoin is not legal tender," the Finra alert said, which also warned about the lack of safeguards in place for consumers, the irreversibility of bitcoin transactions, and its association with illegal activities.

Thx FINRA. We were all unaware that bitcoin is a speculative investment.

Everyone here are also aware that most of the bitcoins are owned by anonymous people, who in all probability and considering the history, are drug dealers, computer crackers or confidence man. By trusting your wealth in bitcoin, you are trusting that this criminal element won't dump their coins to acquire your wealth as their own.

Why do you post here?

You sound like the annoying brat telling a group of smokers how bad it is for their health over and over. What's it to you? Light up or screw off.

To balance things out. Yeah, when a group of smokers like to cheer to each other, how good smoking is for their health, then I'm exactly the guy who cuts in and recommends to have at least minimal grip on reality.

That's my point, you act like people aren't aware of the risks already. Go run along and do something else.

I just bought a couple more just to spite people like you.

Sifting through all the negative crap not only in this thread but on this board is becoming more frequent every day. Why do so many come and post FUD and bubble graphs if they see no future in the technology? Are people that bored or just bitter that they weren't involved sooner?
1117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2014, 10:01:57 PM
I'm going full bear mode. That way all Fonzies crap will make me smile rather than roll my eyes.
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 03, 2014, 04:05:30 PM
Bear traps are gonna happen, but I feel today we'll be near 700.
There's no way it'll reach 700 because the 3 day emas are are $615 and $666. This will be a congestion zone which will not be broken until 3 day MACD is up. Until then $666 will be this evil resistance. It could go sideways for weeks.

God, please tell me you got your cheap coins and will stop your non stop we're going down bs. I guess not, right. We go up a few dollars and you're already starting. This probably means you missed the train AGAIN and now will annoy everyone with daily posts how we're going down because your TA says so.
I might have to put you on ignore if that's the case. Let me know.

This.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will see $850 by March 3rd. on: March 01, 2014, 03:21:37 PM
Based on what I read Matthecat is a day trader who makes several short term predictions on a daily basis. Of course when you make that many predictions you will come up wrong at a higher rate, but overall his predictions have been good.

Others who make long term predictions about the market look more accurate because they make few predictions and the price can hit a wider range for that person to look correct.

At the same time, its not a pissing contest. Obiwon if you think it will hit that price in 2 days better throw alot of fiat on the exhanges and buy, can make a very quick return on it apparently. And now since you have judged others analysis expect the same to happen to you (if you dont disappear on March 4).
1120  Economy / Speculation / Did TA indicate the spike from $100 to $1000? on: February 27, 2014, 04:35:09 PM
I still remember hearing about bitcoin when it was roughly $100 and was interested from the start. It seemed like in a very short period of time (2 months or so) the price went up like a rocket, every few days I checked the price it kept going up.

Was this an expected spike predicted by posters using TA? Or was it a sudden flood that was unexpected based on news etc. I obviously wasn't lurking back then so curiosity is setting in.
