1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and patience on: December 09, 2023, 10:23:17 AM
Bitcoin as a digital asset has taught me that patience is the key.
initial the first time I came into the crypto industry I never knew how important patience was not until I experience last year in the crypto space where the start of Russia and Ukraine war crash the price of Bitcoin to 15k dollars,
other shit coin follow suit, but was even worse, fast-forward from then till now how Bitcoin has bounce back to it current price and is still climbing up,
those people that sold their holdings at a loss will be licking their wounds by now and thinking how they wish they hold on to it a little bit longer.

It's near impossible to be successful in crypto without patience, investing is another thing, knowing how to hold is another thing also.
Almost all the crypto millionaire in the crypto space are good holders, think about that!!

Monitoring the price of your holding everyday will earn you nothing, but since we are all humans, it will makes us want to react to some price changes which is not good for the goal of getting filthy rich in the crypto space.
1102  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I need clarification regarding this. on: December 09, 2023, 05:54:07 AM
You no say as we country dy so, wetin dy worry most of us naija citizens be say we no know our right, even though you no your right, if you no know anybody, corrupt police officers go wan use us shine.

No where for naija constitution say na criminal offense to transact Bitcoin and crypto at large, but police people go wan use an create office for our body because we no even no the law, anyway the best tin na to just avoid their wahala by hiding anything Bitcoin or cryptocurrency at large for our phone to avoid stories that tourch.
1103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can the community support newcomers in navigating the crypto space? on: December 09, 2023, 05:36:13 AM
At some point in life, their was a Time we were all novice, so for now we just have to share some knowledge to newbie's, because we were once like that.

* When venturing into the crypto industry, we should have it at the back of our minds that it's not a get rich quick scheme.

* Do your own research, as simple as it sounds, brother you will get more than the information you ask for if you do your own research.

* Go for Bitcoin, they are the real deal, try as much as possible to avoid alt coin.

* Know that the crypto industry is filled with risk, so invest what you can afford to lose, so that your emotions can be in check.

* Learn to be patience, it's near impossible to succeed in cryptocurrency without it.

* Avoid storing your asset in a centralized exchange to avoid stories that tourch.
1104  Economy / Trading Discussion / The most difficult times on: December 09, 2023, 05:10:07 AM
Trading as a beginner or as an experience traders might gives us different results like the possible outcome of your trade base on your vast knowledge about the craft, but we should not forget that the work we put in even when we are blowing different account defines us.

In every business in life, knowledge about it and what it entails to succeed is always the key.
Someone that has been learning trading for years and someone that just jumped into the market base on the fact that he believes that trading is a get rich quick scheme can never be the same in terms of execution and vast knowledge of how to navigate his or her ways in the market to come out profitable.

The most difficult level in life generally is level one because that's where you put in the work, and during that time, you will see enough reason to quit more than enough reason to continue, because you are definitely going to blow up so many account while in the learning process, but the ability to continue learning and pressing forward even when things aren't going our way defines us. Nothing good comes easy, so if we must succeed in trading even as experience as we are, we must keep on putting in the work to learn more, so that we can be a better trader and reap the rewards of our work.
1105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Consolidation on: November 25, 2023, 08:18:49 AM
Understanding and identifying market structure is one of the major key we traders must have in other to succeed in the crypto market.

In as much as most traders claim to be experience, they are still lagging behind because they were never trained in the craft.

Not all experience traders as they claim can identify consolidation in the price chart, which to me it's a killer of our account.
Try not to be in the market when the market is consolidating, because there is a higher possibilities of you losing that trade.

It's one structure we traders look down on not knowing the danger it pose to our account,  during consolidation in a higher timeframe like 4hr is the most dangerous because it can go either way.
If we must succeed in trading it very essential we know market structure so as to know when to enter and when to exit the market.
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin as an overachiever on: November 21, 2023, 07:30:18 AM
Since Bitcoin came into existence in Year 2009 it has overachieve in terms of it value,  and I believe that it will keep on gaining more hight.
It have been been 14 years now, and the value is eye catching comparing to the price it started from.

Today, it competing with the very best in the market gold, crude, diamond uranium etc.
Those natural resources i mentioned have been in existence since the history of mankind,  but Bitcoin even as a 14 years old teenager is standing as tall as possible in the market.
I believe that we are still in the early stage of it growth, so that's why I will advice all to key into Bitcoin by accumulating it through the DCA method to build a generational wealth for our families.
1107  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How exactly does bitcoin obey the bear and bull season. on: November 14, 2023, 08:52:11 AM
For the small knowledge I have gain in the crypto industry, I have come to understand that their is a market structure in place that is being controlled by people's sentiment like the fear and greed.
The market structure will always obey people's sentiment, if there is a lot of buyer's in the market, the price of Bitcoin will definitely go up, but if their are more sellers in the market, the price will go down. So I believe that the bull season and the bear season is being controlled by people's sentiment.
1108  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Share your best jokes let cheer each other up even in this difficult time. on: November 14, 2023, 08:24:31 AM

1109  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trading vs. Hodl - Which group do you belong to? on: November 07, 2023, 04:07:32 PM
Nothing good comes easy, if I start tell you of my terrible experience I have had in trading, you will definitely ask me what gave me the guts to continue.

I have blown many account in the past which I believe is the hard lesson, but here I am today, I take fewer trade now, I still lose some trades but I still choose trading than holding because that's where the real money is.
I no longer blown my account because I have gone a long way in trying to master the craft, which no matter how the market is bad in a month, I still make something out of it, trading is more of knowledge and knowing how to control your emotions.
I will choose trading over holding, because that's my thing.
1110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: November 07, 2023, 12:51:21 PM
One of the mistakes I do is to trade when a coin has increased significantly in price. If it has increased, I go on short position. This is also what I do if the market price of a coin has decreased significantly, I go long. The mistake is that the market will continue in the direction and no reversal sometimes.  I later used averaging with it and I gain than before but it is very risky.
In such situation before thinking that their will be change a of trend,  if it's an uptrend, you look at the price chart to know if the buying pressure have subside and to know if there are more sellers in the market to push the price down. In trading it very important to be thought before venturing into the market, so that your will know how to react to the market by it actions
1111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Mistakes to watch out for on: November 07, 2023, 12:16:48 PM
Their are few mistakes we trader make even when we already knows the craft but we still fall victim to, which are;

-  Trading against the trend: when trading against a trend their is a higher possibilities of you losing that trade, if you spot an uptrend, you should only be looking for a buy opportunities and if you spot a down trend you should only be looking for a sell opportunities simple, you get more winning trade by doing that.

- Too much monitoring of the chart: before you place any trades use a margin you can afford to lose, so that once you place your trade, you set your exit point, take profit or stop loss you wouldn't be checking your chart steadily, because by doing so, you emotions will come into play if it's a margin you can't afford to lose, try as much as possible to trust your analysis, leave it to play out if you want to make good money from the market if it's going your way.

- Entry point - most skill traders I have encountered struggle on this aspect, your entry point determine your risk to reward ratio and that is what keeps you profitable.
if you can get a good entry point by letting the market come too you, even though you loss 60% of your trades, you will still be profitable because 1-3 risk reward ratio will be the least you will get from such entry.

- Too much emphasis on technical indicators: most indicators mostly shows the past data of what have happened in the market, but wouldn't show you what is coming next, that's why it's very important to look at the price action of the chart, you react only to what the market gives you, not by doing what you think.
if you must succeed in trading you must start learning to react to what the market is playing out.

- Always calculate your loss before profit: when you trade with what you can afford to lose, it is near impossible for your emotions not to be in check.

- Avoid trading consolidation: traders that fall victim to this one are people that takes many trades, trading consolidation is very dangerous because it can go anyway, at such point, the market have no clear direction.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 06, 2023, 10:49:44 PM
Bitcoin as the father of all cryptocurrency have hard it ups and down since it came into existence, but what I observe lately is the misinformation about Bitcoin that got me worried like in this time and age, people still take Bitcoin as a scam.

I wouldn't deny that in my early days of investment, I really was unconvinced by the presentation i had about Bitcoin, which I took it as one of these fraudster trying to milk the general public as mmm did, but with time, after doing some research and finding I discovered how misinformed I was about it.

Right now most people are like me years back, they are totally misinformed about Bitcoin, the best I do for them right now is to educate them about it, which some even told me what they think Bitcoin was, which is totally untrue about it.
but in as much as am trying to share knowledge about Bitcoin to those who lack it, I don't try to force it on anyone so they won't see me as a scam.
1113  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is the devaluation of naira really the problem on: November 05, 2023, 05:06:46 PM
When we look at all we have been going through in this country, sometimes you will be tempted to ask if we still have government in this country, because to me naira devaluation have nothing to do with the hardship the common men are passing through in this country.

During naira scarcity I keep asking myself that how could a currency of a nation as we country naija be scarce in it territory, that shows the higher level of bad government we had.
Let's Look at subsidy removal for example, they can't just remove it without making provisions, by making our local refinery to be up and running.

It very heart breaking that a country that is one of the leading exporter of crude oil don't have an actively working refinery back home.
The dollar too naira value don't have much impact on the price of things in this country compared to the subsidy removal, we were hit hard by the removal because it affects even our local farm products due to inflation of transportion.
We just pray for God's intervention.
1114  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Naija and godfatherism on: November 04, 2023, 11:44:52 AM
My country people I dy hail ona inside dis hot afternoon,

1115  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin, when to buy on: November 03, 2023, 02:14:02 PM
The growth of Bitcoin over years have made it one of the most sorted after asset in the world right now and to me it's a lifetime opportunity that needed to be seized,

So my question is when is the best time to buy Bitcoin?

Many people that have been into the industry before I even came in have mostly suggested the DCA method, some advice I allowed it to drop to my convenience price before I buy.

As a newbie I feel the DCA method is the best base on my own perspective of looking at it on the long term, I don't know if anyone have any better opinion? Because I believe in the hype that  this forum is filled with knowledgeable people about cryptocurrency.

1117  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My mind, my greatest asset on: November 03, 2023, 09:17:45 AM
The Mind is the center of decision making, it makes a man, not having a
positive mindset will only brings us backward as men,
You might have the knowledge required to do it, but a positive mindset keeps you going when things aren't going as plan.
