1101  Economy / Economics / Re: No Joke - Elon is now "Technoking" & CFO is "Master of Coin" on: March 18, 2021, 05:26:40 AM
The guy has always been a weird one, he was never a normal person, well which normal person ends up building a space rocket and an electric car when no other focused on building one, and even other weird stuff he is doing right now. Those were seen as stuff that made him "revolutionary" but the reality is that he was just a weird guy and has always been one. Go watch any of his interviews and you will see how weird he is as well, it is not like he was ever known for being a regular person.

Crowning himself technoking, and naming his CFO master of coins was one of the most normal things he has ever done, there is nothing that is weird about this considering dude has sent space rockets into space and then landed them back on earth, that seems more weird, even the way he talks looks a bit weird and all the things he has tweeted even before crypto things started was weird as well.

His oddity has brought many changes, it cannot be denied that the technology developed by Tesla has made Tesla a pioneer in the automotive world. Likewise in the crypto world, where the only owner is enough to make DOGE Coin investors big profits and make dynamics in an already volatile market become very volatile lately. The tweets he makes always have an impact on the market and so does what he says in other media. We haven't seen any signs of deep correction at this point in the crypto market as well as one of the reasons for being Elon with all the issues he created.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 17, 2021, 01:16:32 PM
I don't think injuries affect Liverpool's championship chances even slightly. If all players were healthy and get no card ban Liverpool couldn't win the league.
Many players injured must influence big for the chance to win the title. Especially, if the injured players are the key players of the club. If all players of Liverpool are healthy, I am pretty sure that Liverpool must be in the top 3 standings right now. If you are a real football lover, you should know it well. You need to remember what Liverpool could achieve in the previous season once their players are healthy and in their top performance.

Yeah I agree with you, some of the Liverpool core players who suffered injuries greatly affected the team's performance and the results made them really have to fight, it's sad if compare the current results with previous season, I'm not saying that they should be able to be champions, but at least they must be better rated than now.

Of course injuries have an important role on the performance of a team. But for weeks, there has been no injury preventing them from scoring more goals than the conceded amount and winning their matches. I understand that their defense is weaker in the absence of especially Virgil van Dijk. But they don't have any excuse for the attacking side. Players like Salah, Mane and Jota (He has been playing for a few weeks though) all have been playing for a long time. But they still are having big problems on getting a comfortable win or even getting a win. I hope the win vs Wolves has boosted their morale and we can see them playing better in the next matches ahead of them.

I agree that injuries will hinder the performance of the team, but as a professional team they should have good mitigation what if key players get injured?  the strategy should be prepared in a variety of team conditions.  Plans A, b, and c should be prepared.  Now the Reds are in 6th place which means the Reds may also have to get ready to say goodbye to the Champions League. Klopp is so emotional about everything.  Their hopes of winning the title remain in the Champions League, having been knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and hopes of defending the league title have vanished.

People that are new to the game would certainly learn a thing or two from this man. Identifying opportunities is definitely one of the hardest thing a newcomer to crypto would encounter. Without prior knowledge on stocks and other assets, it would be pretty hard to discern whether or not the price is good. Once the newbies got burned once, they'd surely never try again, instead of using these as a learning experience through which they can benefit from in the future.

Or I can say that he's just at the right place at the right time, but I digress. It seems that Tate knows how the market goes, so pulling off that purchase is a no-brainer for him.
Identifying opportunities is always hard but the main problem of people is that they have no money to take advantage of those opportunities in the first place, at least where I live almost no one has savings, it is simply not part of the culture, people spend all of the money that they get and this means that when an opportunity shows itself they have no way to take advantage of it, this is why I have always thought that those that do not have the habit of saving have no chance of ever becoming successful no matter how much knowledge they have.

For me, we can achieve opportunities for profit by working smart and always learning. The more diligently you read books, study the environment and pay attention to every issue that develops, then I am sure that you and I will get the opportunity to benefit as well as learning from that experience is the best teacher. But people who find it difficult to get opportunities and see opportunities are people who are half in learning something because in learning new things and seeing if it has good potential in the future is to fully understand.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: March 14, 2021, 03:37:08 PM
I don't have a problem with streamers only getting a percentage of what they win from sponsored money. I do have a problem if the funds that they win is completely unwithdrawable.

If that was the case, their reactions are completely faked and they have no vested interest in the funds that they are gambling with. All that does is inflate volume and potentially mislead players, which can certainly qualify as dishonest behaviour.

It is something that needs to more scrutinised in the community imo. There is a fine line between fabrication of bets and running legitimate promos.

Well an endorsed was paid to endorse a product or an establishment or a business especially gambling business to promote and not to endorse the business to ruin the business name and credibility. We can't blame those endorsers if that script or the role that was given to them were scripted or something else. Well maybe our main concern here was, why those endorsers accepted the offer knowing that this might some information that would bring people to a fake info or something else right.

I neither support nor blame any problems in this case. Because I'm going to look at this from a general point of view. Marketing in the business world is very important, there are many ways that can be done to increase company value and attention from
its target market. What is, in this case, is part of the company's marketing strategy. There are many marketing approaches that have been taken, there are positive and negative sides. Even from the positive side, companies usually exaggerate their products which in fact all of them will lead to "HALF TRUTH". For me, no advertising or marketing strategy is 100% correct because there must be an element of exaggeration. For example, in a toothpaste ad, 9 out of 10 dentists say this toothpaste is the best. Yet all the advertisements say that. Can this be called fraud?

especially if this is a gambling company, which we certainly know is a very risky money circulation company. So, what we are concerned about is not the fraud in it, but how we as users are not easily provoked by the marketing strategy of any kind of company.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 14, 2021, 02:59:21 PM
Rely with self control, this is really important when playing luck base gambling

Fate is you are going to lose when playing Dice the house edge is killing the hope of every player, control is something you should cultivate if you want to have a chance in Dice, don't rely on fate rely on your self-control, it will win you money and will prevent you from losing a lot.

I've tried playing DICE, but with great greed. Without relying on my financial controls, I lost all the money I deposited on one of the famous sites. It's true, we have to put self-control number one. I lost my self-control because once the deposit immediately won 10% trying to return to the max bet with the hope of getting a 50% profit, as a result, I won it and greedily hoped to get 100% tonight I finally lost all my money. This is one of my stories that don't use self-control in dice games.

Chelsea is also still doing well in the Champions League. So i am not sure what they prefer to do. Mourinho has a very strong capability of analyzing, he wants to advance in the champions league for sure after they bet 0-1 in Atletico madrid. maybe just give the most important players some rest.

Chealsea is indeed quite stable in every game.  Even in the prime league since the beginning, Chealsea has shown an improvement in the game and is currently tay at number 4. It is likely to play in the Champions League next season.
However, if you look at their schedule, there are still some matches that haven't been completed.  If they are still stable enough then the possibility for the next season will materialize but if they can't defend it, Westham is ready to overtake Chelsea for next season.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: What We Should Learn From Elon Musk Influence on: March 13, 2021, 04:21:23 PM
If indeed we are interested in following Elon Musk to buy altcoins. make sure you buy when the tweet has been created. You must be able to buy quickly. because it can be ensured that if we are late and join in buying, we will be trapped in conditions of already high prices. actually for those who like this kind of trade with a high risk they like the elon musk figure to be able to pump with a strong influence which can make prices rise or fall quickly
There were many who benefitted in Elon tweets especially in BTC and Doge. If we wanted to ride on the hype we better be updated but when it comes to BTC or ETH there is no much impact now since there are already who invested in it but if ever he will tweet again new alts, it can definitely give an impact and many followers will sure to follow.

Unfortunately this is the trend that is happening.  Influential people make a big impact on the price of crypto.  Due to the current high price of Bitcoin it is also their big role and their tweets.  Without Elon Musk, maybe at this time Doge is still at a minimalist price.  The power of influence was immense.  Can move whatever he influences.  That's how it works today.
1111  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: March 13, 2021, 02:59:37 PM
If anyone believes in Bitcoin at the moment then it’s Michael Saylor, because I have a feeling he’s willing to sell his skin too to buy at least 1 BTC more. Looking at the spreadsheet, it is easy to notice that the amounts in the last 3 purchases have decreased significantly - does that mean that there is less and less money, or could a purchase of 10 000 BTC or more happen again?

It may be a stupid question, but this new stimulus that is just happening in the US is not only aimed at ordinary citizens but also at companies? Does anyone know if MicroStrategy is among those who will receive part of this stimulus? If by any chance they get it, there is no doubt where the money will end up Smiley

Yes, seeing the stimulus in the US is indeed quite crazy, with large amounts of cash money for stimulus in their handling of making huge inflation plans in the future.  How can a large amount of money be circulated to the public without safeguarding inflation in the future.  In the past, money was printed on gold guarantees, now it is printed just like that without any pride.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 13, 2021, 01:38:31 PM
So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?
No time person buy or sell Bitcoin is wrong, we have right to sell whenever we feel like to sell Bitcoin, because I don't think we have a specific time for selling, but we most know our profit we suppose to obtain or generate as market demand before selling to avoid lost, but actually selling is based on choice respective the gain and lost involves.

Yes, everyone has their choice.  For those who feel that they have reached the expected profit point, they can now sell their BTC and buy it back at the expected price as well.  However, for those who are still buying at a high enough price I don't think it's the right time to sell it right now because I really believe BTC has a very bright future for now and the price will still continue to rise.  So the choice is back to the owner.  I'm not suggesting financial advice just expressing my opinion.

https://twitter.com/OfWudan/status/1238091998978093056

March 2020 an investor, athlete and youtuber known as Andrew Tate bought $300k worth of bitcoin priced at $5900. And another $300k worth of bitcoin priced at $6100.

He claims his BTC holdings today are worth around $7 million.

Definitely one of the more colorful and outspoken personalities in crypto willing to voice some of the more audacious opinions, its possible he deserves more attention than he receives.
Being rich means that you do not have to work ever again to live a comfortable life, in some places and for some people that could be 100 million dollars, for some people it could be 1 million dollars, but in no way or shape it could be 200 billion dollars, that is really unreasonable, what are you going to do with that much money? Impossible to say that it is just being rich, that is being ruthless.

Amazon workers who apply for food stamps and pee in a bottle while Jeff Bezos owns 200 billion dollars worth of amazon stock shows you that it is not about being rich, it is about being powerful and dangerous to society as well, he is not helping anyone out, he is basically just an evil character from a comic book type of person but in real life. Hopefully humanity will eventually realize being rich and being evil have 1+ billion dollar difference, anyone can be and should be rich if they can, but nobody should be evil with money they make.

In general, the ultimate goal of having a lot of money and becoming the richest person is to become a philanthropist.  Like Bill Gates who has established his foundation and helped many children around the world.  Likewise, several lists of rich people in this world.  Not all rich people are evil because if he has value in life then he will be that generous person.
1114  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: March 12, 2021, 01:56:04 PM
i think its a strategy, we know that tesla invest large amount of money putting risk in bitcoin and tesla trusting digital currency. tesla corp knows that bitcoins will be soon to be very successful and that jp morgan for me is also investing in bitcoin, he said that for strategy purposes only, its my personal saying about this matter.

I agree, JPMorgan's strategists could say negative things about Bitcoin in hopes that it might impact prices in the negative way. They just want to buy low. But in fact nobody knows what's "low" for BTC today. They might miss the train. Smiley

If they do what you say, that strategy is too cheesy.  JP Morgan classmates fry up the issue just to make the price collapse.  I'm not sure that will happen.  They do not fit the timing of the hype that spreads to many large companies.  Their way is like beginners but bodies like whales.
1115  Economy / Economics / Re: The End of Covid Scam? "Governor Abbott Opens Texas 100 Percent" on: March 11, 2021, 03:37:00 PM
You will see many will start to reopen, and people will act in their own self-interest, including making sure their business is safe since their business safety is also their family safety. The economy meant to be bottom-up (free market) and not top-down (command).

"States lift Covid restrictions, drop mask mandates and reopen businesses despite warnings from Biden officials."

The policy that has been carried out before is not to stop the virus, but instead, it becomes a big problem for humans. The paranoia experienced has made the government not think clearly in making policies. With the good news from this state, if they really succeed with their policies going forward it is very possible that other countries will follow suit. I was very tired of the constant restrictions. Schools that are closed and restrictions in crowded places are a psychological burden. However, I admit the Texas government is quite brave with this policy even though Biden is the opposite. Even made a stimulus that I thought was pretty crazy and had been approved. Inflation is too close.
1116  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks around the world want to get into digital currencies on: March 11, 2021, 02:38:03 PM
If this CBDC turns out to be a huge success I'm pretty sure other country gonna jump in aswell and try to make their own CBDC to compete in international market.
Though what I'm afraid the most is if they have created their CBDC but going overboard for the sake of expanding their market and bans any existing crypto, could definitely harm the existing crypto market though might be just a little.

What I know about CBDC, is a digital representation of money that is a symbol of state sovereignty or sovereign currency issued by the central bank and is part of its monetary obligations. Second, even if CBDC is hype and followed by all countries, isn't the context different from crypto? what is the difference between physical and digital Fiat? Everything that is regulated by the central bank always deals with inflation, right? Crypto was created as part of the rejection of the current monetary system, right? Why do you need to be scared? Even at the beginning of Bitcoin, all countries also refused and until now it has survived. Don't worry too much about unnecessary.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 11, 2021, 02:11:51 PM
they are now 6 wins away from being crowned champions, are they gonna win 6 in a row ? or flop their lines ?
Their next matches against:
1. Fulham
2. Leicester City
3. Leeds United
4. Aston Villa
5. Chelsea
6. Brighton
7. Everton

There are still 2 big matches against Leicester City and Chelsea. It is too early to say if Man City will win all remaining matches. While other weaker teams, I am pretty sure that Man City will win all the matches. However, although Man City only wins 5 remaining matches, I think it is enough to make Man City be the winner of the Premier League title this season. Not really necessary to win 6 matches in a row.

5 wins wont be enough if the other matches are loses. City still has 9 matches remaining while United and Leicester still has 10 matches remaining. Mathematically speaking, if City wins 5 only out of 9 while the other 4 are loses then their final points will be 68+15 = 83. On the other side, if United wins all the remaining matches then their final points will be 54+30= 84. Indeed it is almost impossible to happen but it is just about winning calculation by simple math. To make it simple, City needs 17 more points so even if United win all their remaining matches then City is still the Champion as they have +1 final points if they gets additional 17 points while United get 30 additional points.

But in my opinion, the 17 points needed by City to be the winner are not that difficult if you see the team's performance which is quite stable so far. United also may not win all the remaining matches, so City has a great opportunity. Extra hard work for United to overtake City, and they must continue to create their strategies in order to be winners. Because one strategy is wrong, they must be satisfied enough to be runner-up.
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks around the world want to get into digital currencies on: March 10, 2021, 02:56:52 PM
It's just the old fiat currency taking into a new form. You know, the world changes along with the rising of new technological innovations. The old way of doing fiat transaction is so obsolete that it has to evolve and adapt to the times. The internet has gone mainstream, payment systems are shifting online, globalization makes buying and selling of goods and services intercontinental, and so on and so forth. The world has gone digital and fiat is a little bit left behind. Bills and metal coins are things of the past.

But all this does not mean fiat has essentially improved.

and fortunately all of us who have already been involved in getting to know the digital crypto system, and that will make it easier for us to face the growth of the digital economy in the future. we will gladly contribute if individual countries really want to create their own crypto. and of course economic development is the foundation of today's digital era. we are always ready for what will be faced in the future when it comes to digital cryptocurrency.

Unfortunately, I don't quite agree with you.  Even though the central bank makes a digital version of currency it is not as meaningful as the crypto that we generally use.  And it is still centralized, meaning that its value could also be eroded by inflation.  Whereas Bitcoin is one of the inventions that is a solution to criticism of the current monetary economic system where the central bank can print money 'arbitrarily' at any time and regardless of the amount.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 10, 2021, 01:36:24 PM
Too much fuss for a game that Manchester City will win by 2 or 3 goals; the game lost with United is already behind their minds and tonight, sorry Southampton supporters, but there's nothing else than a win for the Mancunians. Looking at the odds only a fixed game could result in a draw or a loss for them.

Every team loses games, this team with Pep as coach will brush off the disappointment of losing to Man Utd. They’ll respond & win comfortably tonight. Nothing to worry about for Man City fans, they will be champions this season.

I am also sure that this time the winner will be Man City, although yesterday losing to Man United was not an important issue.  Man United's score is still far from Man City, so there is a clear chance of victory.  Unfortunately Liverpool didn't even make the top 4. I cant see them in the next season for Champion League. And this season, we can see a great performance from Man City and Pep is success for bringing them to be the winner.
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is the right time to gamble on football. on: March 09, 2021, 03:10:39 PM
You have to understand something, many believe that because they make big bets or have big winnings or losses, they are professionals in certain types of gambling. No one is professional until their income to live depends on 100% of the profit of their bets.

In reality it is a similar percentage to that of their OP, the people who live by gambling as a true profession, the rest do it for fun, but in some that fun is partly to believe that they are professionals.

I agree, it takes a lot of dedication and work to become a professional in the world of sports betting. Just because we follow the news and watch football regularly doesn't mean we know everything. This is exactly the reason why I only tend to bet during bigger tournaments. In my opinion there can go a lot of things wrong if there is no big pressure behind a game. Football players tend to perform especially well during big tournaments.

I'm still very doubtful about making gambling a profession, how can we make our profession at odds. Gambling is a game that is said to be a profession but whether there is a profession where 90% is a bet on options that are not known in the end. Gambling of any kind is not only on soccer gambling, but in the case of football, maybe 10% of it is determined by the performance of the team at stake.
