1101  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: bitcoin.org "choose your wallet" on: November 26, 2016, 03:49:39 PM
So if blockchain.info isn't considered an secure wallet, why a lot of people use this wallet? Dumb?

There's a lot of wallets there, if one day this site got hacked, the bitcoin price will go to the ground...

maybe because of its user friendly interface and it's easy to use and it seems most of their users gamblers and most of the transactions are from gambling because other web wallets are not tolerating users that dealing with online gambling. I am also using blockchain.info and I am keeping all my earning from signature campaign to it but i didn't know that blockchain.info is vulnerable.
1102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A list of bad sites? on: November 26, 2016, 03:08:13 PM
I am new to the entire cryptocurrency in the first place so very new to BitCoins as well. Is there a place that lists known bad sites? I learned the hard way that the idea of a doubler site is false/fake, such as http://bestdoubler.eu/ for example. They just take what you send them and that's it.

yeah there is a website that listing all the fraud websites of investments and it is http://www.badbitcoin.org/ it has listed so many scam websites including those bitcoin doubler. by the way avoid dealing with this type of websites now that you have learned that doublers are scam but it is not only the doublers.
1103  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitminer.io real or scam? on: November 26, 2016, 02:56:03 PM
I have good experience with this service. I have used it for a while. The upgrades make sense and are well priced as well as affordable for less wealthy people, too. However, I advise you to consider the opinions above me. Probably, I was just lucky in the past and I do not use the service anymore.

yeah probably you were just lucky that time because as of now it seems some people are complaining that they haven't received any payouts and it's still pending. so I guess that bitminer.io scam has already occurring right now and I wondering how many people tried this scam or if they are still expecting anything from it.
1104  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 26, 2016, 06:43:50 AM
That's why it is always good to have an emergency fund so you don't get into this hole in the first place.
It will boils down to savings, we should learn how to save for the future as we do not hold the future and we cannot see it, anything can happen even the things that we do not expect, so it's good to be ready all the time and we have to start saving now and instill discipline to succeed.
We really should be prepared for the future, savings is what we really need and it's the only way we can solve our desperate times if we have it. I know  that it's not easy for everyone since we do have a lot of wants in this world that we want to buy and we forget about saving our money but it's necessary.

and people tend to forget to manage their money which is necessary for us, we need to separate every expenses such as what we want and what we need so the remaining money will be on our saving. I wonder why the necessary things like are usually not complied for other people although they already that they are often in the situation that they are in desperate need.
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: November 26, 2016, 06:34:05 AM
Cash is easy to steal weather from your pocket or your bank account but bitcoin on the other hand has no potential way of being stolen, has more value easy to use and wallets don't charge you anything when sending or receiving bitcoin unlike the regular bank accounts that force you to pay a portion of your hard earned money

I agree with this thing, but one thing is bitcoin  can be stolen by those greedy people and very oriented on stealing using internet . Any thing can be easily stealable through Internet.

if your account/wallet doesn't have a maximum security and you tend to open an unknown website and installing some software to your mobile or pc then you are more likely to get hacked. most of the hackers are using phishing or even Keylogger in order to get your account information especially your log in ID and password. and that's why there is a so called 2FA.
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: November 26, 2016, 06:16:23 AM
Combination of holding and investment. One part to keep long term waiting for price to get up. Another part to invest through trading or something to insure the number of coins to grow with time. And a lot of patience and cool head thinking.

but holding a bitcoin is also a investment itself because you have your money in bitcoin and waiting for its price to increase. by the way you have a good opinion and trading could be a good investment while you are holding you bitcoins but this will not only need a patience you also need a good knowledge in trading.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: November 26, 2016, 05:47:26 AM
only a few countries has a shops that accepting bitcoin in their big city and I guess most of them are in European Country or America and maybe in Hong Kong. it could be great if there will be added shops on the small cities that we can use our bitcoin in order for these cities to move forward like others and this will be a good innovation for them. I really hope that here in my country there will be a shop like these in the near future.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin not received on my wallet on: November 26, 2016, 04:57:25 AM
I do not know where you guys get these "unknown" sites .... but I checked it against http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/#Bit and it has not

been reported as a scam. What puts me off is the text that says... Get your first bitcoin for free... and then they mention 0.0005 BTC in

smaller font. They also use trackers to determine your location... So proceed with caution... I do not trust unknown sites like these.  Roll Eyes

lol it seems like bitboat is not a scam as it is not reported a scam but you are right they are using tracking just get your location and it made me wonder why? Grin if you do not trust that website so did I.

Hi friends !

Already thanks for your quick answers! I managed to fix the problem just had to put an old bitcoins address! It changes all the time lol anyway thank you!

well that's good so the next time you are going to buy bitcoin from them again and this problem occurs you know how to provide a solution for that. by the way Good Luck for what you are going to do with bitcoin you have bought.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economic Nobel prize for Satoshi Nakamoto on: November 26, 2016, 04:34:26 AM
but the thing is who would claim the prize for him as if he is going to reveal in public Grin but yes he deserved to be awarded this kind of recognition for his contribution to the economics no doubt.
1110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: November 26, 2016, 04:24:49 AM
You can give Bitcoin to homeless people now.
It looks like even they started using it.:-)
Look at below
https://imgur.com/gallery/Y2eRs

Looks like the guy got some donations, just checked his address here: https://blockchain.info/address/1Gwga1P9mLkK54PhRTpK5t39PaqMkZVz23
Or was he using bitcoins before and that balance he accumulated from somewhere else?
By the way, maybe not all homeless know about bitcoin but just he does.

lmao . it seems like he obtained many donation cause he already got 13 transactions but probably that was the previous transactions he made before he did that thing you saw on the picture and probably he is not really a homeless person but i don't know i cannot assure Grin
1111  Other / MultiBit / Re: BitCoin Status "Sending" on: November 26, 2016, 03:59:07 AM
I'm using MultiBit wallet, I paid some amount of BTC yesterday at around 11 AM (Local Time) via bitpay. So status at bitpay was paid and successful. But in my wallet I see the status is still "Sending" and not "Sent".
The amount at the destination has not been received yet either.
How long does it normally takes to complete the transfer?
How to know how much more time its gonna take? And is there a way to quicken it up?
And does the time of transfer depend upon the wallet too? Or its independent of that?

Thank you

Usually it happens when there's so many transactions are processing on blockchain and it takes more than an hour some times you just need to wait for your transaction to be processed and also it is not depending upon the wallet you are using it depends on the amount you have transacted meaning if you sent a little amount expect that it would took longer to be transacted.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: November 25, 2016, 06:49:46 AM
Since every new site or new services are coming to earn unlimited money without hardwork So most of them are scam .
But in bitcoin only very less number is sites are legit .
And in bitcoin , I think no problem that i faced  but sometimes confirmation makes me worry .

I'm bit thinking about the new people who are getting to know bitcoins for the first time. Because these scam sites are keep on increasing.

So the people they are scamming and being there victims are becoming more and more as the day goes by.

This is I guess one of the problems that bitcoiners must be addressed.

well that was the problem of other people on their own and not their problem on using bitcoin. bitcoin is not responsible in any lost of people who got scammed because bitcoin doesn't want these people to be scammed and those fraud to deceive other people.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to talk with Satoshi Nakamoto on: November 25, 2016, 06:30:36 AM
as if he also wanted to talk to you guys or he's still alive but yeah this could be very interesting to talk with him but what i am thinking is that how can we make sure that the person we are talking with is the real Satoshi Nakamoto ? what will be the indications if he is the real creator of bitcoin as we all know that there's some person who claimed that they were the real satoshi. Grin
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: November 25, 2016, 06:21:46 AM
Today i am trading altcoins and it is very hard for making bitcoins  Grin but i will try to mining using GPU hardware, i will try other ways for making bitcoins although will be hard.
Trading altcoins without the right knowledge is a very risky endeavor especially since some coins are there to generate profits only for the developers and some early speculators.
Trading without a sound knowledge is really too much risky, but if you have a little knowledge about a alt coin then you can really make good money from trading in alt coin, if you have some good experience in online gambling then you can also make good money in gambling, but gambling is more risky than trading.

If you are not good enough in trading then simply hold your bitcoins. And while you are holding bitcoins you just need to study all the things you need to learn so that you can generate good profit with trading. And you can also invest into bankroll casino's for additional income just make sure you will invest to those trusted sites.

right. you can just hold your bitcoin first instead of dealing any kind of source of income without any knowledge and skills especially in trading because it is not just easy to learn and to make bitcoin with that, you have to study some fundamentals and the other complicated things regarding trading and try to put only a small amount such as 0.001 and practice yourself to trade  active alt coins.
1115  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Why people don't like coinbase? on: November 24, 2016, 06:41:36 AM
As you see,I'm just a newcomer on bitcoin as well as user of coinbase but my question why people don't like coinbase too much. Have any reasons?
Mostly as long as I know main problem on closing accounts associated with gambling.Have any other reason?

yeah that might be the main problem why some people don't like coinbase to be their wallet because of restricting people to use their service to be associated with transactions from gambling but despite this problem coinbase is good for buying bitcoin. i have tried coinbase before but it feels like confusing to have so many wallets Grin
1116  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Do you have any problems with your online wallet on: November 24, 2016, 06:30:55 AM
I am currently using coinbase.com as a bitcoin wallet for myself and i find it a little bit inconvenient because Coinbase's system try to prevent people from gambling. They can block our account if we gamble too much. If i had a chance to redesign coinbase, i would remove this function forever

i am using two different online wallet which is coins.ph and blockchain.info wallet and yet i don't have any problem with these wallets but i think coins.ph is not tolerating any transactions from gambling same as coinbase and there are few users who got banned because of that. by the way why don't you try blockchain wallet it seems they are not restricting their users from gambling.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: November 24, 2016, 05:37:37 AM
We should consider that there is no forever.

this statement is just like I've always from teens who suffers from heartbreak Grin Grin by the way, we can say that bitcoin would not last forever but as long as the chain is working and there's still processing the transaction bitcoin will still alive. but for sure this is unlikely to happen as bitcoin is continuous to spread.
1118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: November 24, 2016, 05:17:19 AM
some of them might have heard bitcoin but they are not even interested to use it or they already used it and then stopped later on. not all people already knows about bitcoin as if they are not usually updated and might not interested with the new trend.
1119  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much did you spent in the internet using bitcoin? on: November 24, 2016, 03:30:16 AM
I really want to know how did you spent bitcoin in the internet i really want to know how to spend my money in the internet they say that you can buy porn by using bitcoin we need to be open minded please Cheesy because i can't cash out my bitcoin because i don't have any valid I.D yet.. i am still waiting for my voters I.D to be release its been 2 years now and i really want to spend my bitcoin Cheesy please help me on how to spend it and guide me also thank you Cheesy

I just spend around $15 or $20 online all of it just to buy prepaid load. i haven't tried to buy some cool stuffs online as I am not sure if it will be delivered to me the next day Grin

Having the same feeling about that I think that it can be very good to buy some things but its risky, I also spend around the 40 dollar because of that.

I think everyone has the same feeling and thinking that it could be risky but i know there could be some online shopping service for bitcoin that is actually good for you to spend bitcoin and buy some things like purse.io but i didn't know yet how was it working because i haven't tried to shop there as far as I know it is based in the US so if you're from the other country shipment will be an issue for you.
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 24, 2016, 02:57:24 AM
At least I am not dealing with syndicate of drugs, crime or any other illegal activities. I think using of bitcoin is not already considered a crime although it was made illegal by the government and as I am only hoarding and not using it to buy illegal stuffs online then there's no reason for me to be arrested and I am anonymously hoarding bitcoin so how will they know ? Grin
