1101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: June 23, 2017, 04:08:50 AM
I believe that not all muslim are terrorist it is just that some participates in terrorism and some are ordinary people who operates businesses, works at offices, or even a merchant. It is also the same case in every religion, whether you like it or not, there are some out there from other religions who participates in terrorism too, so not all muslim are terrorist it's just a coincidence that many terrorist comes from countries that are muslim in religion.
1102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do Love really exist ? on: June 23, 2017, 02:24:25 AM
Hatred has taken over almost every where in the societies in recent time whether in the  family, Church, Musqe, office, play ground, school, among young and old people. All of this that happen in our societies made me wonder whether LOVE exist. This is because if you check the meaning of love you will agree with me that love doesn't exist anywhere.
Love still exist on the part of societies mentioned by OP which I highlighted on the quote. Love still exist first of all within a family, but hate comes when there is a quarrel. In the church sometimes there is love but most of the time there is hate instead of love. We can also find love on offices and schools, even if that is the case there is still hate that can be found. We can also find love among young and good people especially on couples and a group of people who are friends, we can also found hate in them that made me think that love and hate coexists with each other.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold on: June 22, 2017, 05:21:28 AM
I sold about 10% of my stash. I'm not sure whether the bubble has burst or not, but I decided I'll take some profit (bought at sub $100). We might see $5000 or $10000 in the next few days, but I'm pretty sure the price will go down to $1500 (or even lower) at some point in the next few months or next year, and that's when I'll buy more. If that doesn't happen then it's fine, I'll invest in something else.

What do you think of my decision?
I think your decision is a good move but you should have sold more of your stash maybe 20% for a much more profit, either way 10% is enough if you just want to return your investment capital. In fact you have already gained more than what you invested because if you invested 1000$ at sub 100$, and you sold the 10% that would be 100 dollars by the time you bought it, you would get 2500$ now which is more than your capital. Good luck to your future decisions OP, if you will rebuy I guess just use 50% of what you got by selling to have your capital back with a little profit.
1104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit2x reached 80% on: June 22, 2017, 03:57:17 AM
It's not "locked in". Over 80% of miners are signalling that they'll signal for segwit.

We won't know for sure for at least one month. The BTC1 segwit2x software is supposed to be released on 7/21, and that's when we'll see who actually signals for segwit.
Either way it is good news that many are signalling segwit2x. According to coindance.com 35.2% is signalling segwit2X this week and is second with Emergent Consensus in the lead but looking at the last 144 blocks which are made today, most are signalling segwit2X and if this continues it might catch up with Emergent Consensus. For now just be updated on the news and whatever proposal is implemented, I hope it is for the better of bitcoin.
1105  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to panic guys! Here's why... on: June 22, 2017, 02:58:29 AM
If BTC price goes down we can get more coins! Come on baby make it $500 I won't mind!

If BTC price goes up...  Grin to the Moon of $100,000 we go! Be patient... your patience will be granted

You guys need to be more optimistic about Bitcoin in general..
Any outcome is fine with me, if bitcoin goes up then the value of my coins goes up as well if the value of bitcoin goes down then I will buy even more bitcoin, it is a win win no matter what.
Even if it is a win win no matter what, it is still better if bitcoin will go up more for us to sell at a higher rate to rebuy again when it goes down. OP's prediction is somewhat ridiculous for now wow $100,000 per bitcoin? I hope we see that in our lifetime because I know it would really take a very long time before his/her speculation happens. For now let's enjoy every price movements of bitcoin.
1106  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is on August 1, 2017? on: June 22, 2017, 12:22:53 AM
On August 1, 2017 there will be changes that will be implemented on bitcoin which is the current bitcoin scaling proposals but only one proposal will be chosen. At that date a consensus will be made and of course OP it will affect the price. If the applied change to bitcoin is good and pleased many users, of course it will continue to go up in price but if the applied change is bad, then for sure price will dump.
1107  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 21, 2017, 03:47:43 AM
Hello All,

I'm new to crypto but not new to the banking/gov game.

What are you thoughts on the bankers/gov potentially controlling Bitcoin behind the scenes putting on a show oh how they are concerned about it?

They can print the fiat to buy bitcoins.
Its the electronic money/world currency they are so thirsty for.
The NSA has supposedly a back door to all our devices.

I think if bitcoin is the new banker currency it will explode higher as 7.5 billion people vs 21 million bitcoins means $$$$ to the early holders.
If Bitcoin is the alternative to the bankers/gov then it will explode higher as well due to the high percentage of people who want to be free from them.

Anyone who has attempted to not use the dollar Ghadaffi (gold Dinar) - Saddam (oil for Euros)  have met a swift end.

Why are they not stopping (possible jail threats) it when they have shown they will go to extreme measures to stop competition.

Either way I see it going higher i'm just trying to get my head around why it has not been stopped.

Thoughts?
Hello and welcome to crypto world, I will answer some of your questions and correct some of your thoughts, I highlighted all I will answer. First of all, no one can fully control bitcoin behind the scenes because even if they control the price temporarily bankers, government or some group of elites cannot control bitcoin forever. Also, they cannot print fiat money to buy bitcoins because it will cause deflation to their own currency and they would not want that. Lastly, they are not stopping bitcoin right now maybe because they still not see it as a threat to the current fiat currency they have now, and some country adopts it. I might be wrong but this is my thoughts.
1108  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: June 21, 2017, 02:14:33 AM
Every island out there is already controlled by a government, uninhabited or not - they will not allow you to just take over and build your own jurisdiction. You will still be subject to all the laws of the governing country, so cannot make your own laws. I think Sealand have gotten the closest to this idea, an offshore rig that offers hosting and other online services, along with "citizenship". If their closest neighbour wanted to take them over it could be done with ease.

Wait, I've read somewhere that there are some uninhabited islands in south pacific (not sure tho) that you can freely settle on if no one did before you, and also those things in the sea west of UK? That were used during the war, you can also buy those, they're for sale.
Even if they're for sale that island is still in control of the government that is near it, which is UK you said so if they don't recognize bitcoin and make it legal, it is pointless. The legalization of bitcoin will just happen in due time if bitcoin will not be dethroned by other crypto in the next few decades. I like the idea of OP though but he can't create another country in a deserted island easily, OP's idea is too hard to do because a country near it won't allow it that easily.
1109  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Creeping' war vs. bitcoin? on: June 21, 2017, 01:08:59 AM
Did you notice that derivatives basing on ETH together with ETH may create a centralized role of ETH? This model is called 'creeping' war - step by step dethronement of BTC.

Nothing will be the same. Graham's Law in force:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gresham%27s_law

Don't ever think of ETH winning the creeping war for now, because it's big price is caused probably by many ICO's out there that is happening or has been finished which mainly accepts ETH in their crowdsale. ETH won't win the war unless it has a hidden trump card to compete against bitcoin, which is unlikely because it still cannot be used to pay for services and goods online.
1110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: credit card bitcoins on: June 21, 2017, 12:23:08 AM
If I may ask, what is the advantage of using credit card bitcoins? Can it benefit us? Or just make us incur losses,With unstable bitcoin prices, seems to be making us a incur losses ,!
To be frank the only advantage of using credit card bitcoins is that it would be easier to spend because it is a credit card and many accepts it. It can benefit us because sometimes it is easier to convert bitcoin to fiat this way, but it discourages bitcoin adoption. The only losses you will incur with bitcoin credit card the normal loss you will have when market moves, and also some fees, nothing more.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fast & Safe? on: June 20, 2017, 11:07:04 PM
What is the absolute fastest and SAFEST way to store coins that are currently in an exchange?
The fastest and safest way to store coins that are currently in an exchange is of course by storing it on a wallet that you own, a wallet that you know the private key. You can either import it on a web wallet or on a wallet software. In terms of web wallet I recommend blockchain.info to you, this is the web wallet I trust most.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 20, 2017, 12:54:54 PM
Bitcoin might end up like yahoo in the future but the probability is so low. Unlike yahoo, who refuses to change because they are at the top at some point, bitcoin changes and that's why we have some bitcoin scaling proposals that will be implemented in the future intended to improve the quality of service bitcoin gives to it's users. Because of the said reasons above, I think bitcoin won't end up like yahoo in the near future.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AICOIN ICO:: Building Wealth Thru AI & the Power of the Blockchain on: June 20, 2017, 12:22:03 PM
boycott from ALCOIN and i think your project will destroy because your Signature campaign manager behavior is very bad and just enrolling their alt account in your signature campaign .

As much as I respect your opinion, I yet beg to differ. We are working hard and actually delivering a working AI-based model to the community. So, I don't understand how something which delivers what its set out for, gets destroyed. Please don't demoralize our team - it hurts.  Smiley

You are very important to us. And we ensure you that we'll look into the matter.
Even if you looked into the matter it will just prove that his post is a troll. I have joined many signature campaigns managed by yahoo62278 in the past but never had any problems with it, maybe he rejected the alt account of SimpleForum just because of low quality post. Either way, goodluck to your project, I know this has a high chance to succeed. this is yet another new concept which propose an AI cryptocurrency trading concept and is also backed by some heavy names.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x will get activated for sure? on: June 20, 2017, 11:51:56 AM
Your post makes me really nervous about the short-term future. If some bug is found in the code, and if it can be exploited by the hackers, then there will be all sort of chaos. I still remember what happened in March 2014, when Mt Gox crashed (although it had nothing to do with software bugs). There were chaos all around and the exchange rate was doing down like a falling knife.
Even if that is the case, it would still get fixed soon and don't be nervous about the short-term future and think about the long term one. There would be chaos all around if that happens but it would still be like Mt Gox, it will wear out soon and just be another part of bitcoin history. For now I hope for the best ever bitcoin proposal to win and I expect it to resolve the slow confirmation times on transactions that we are experiencing now.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Large Bitcoin Collider really found private keys to some BTC-addresses? on: June 20, 2017, 10:30:36 AM
I think the trophies they had on the webpage you linked OP are fake and might just open a backdoor program to infect your computer. Don't ever believe that it is real because for now even a supercomputer cannot reverse public keys so it is impossible for them to do it unless they invented a new tech to really reverse public keys which is impossible for now. Don't ever try download the lbc client, it might contain a backdoor to obtain your private keys.

1117  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: June 19, 2017, 11:57:05 PM
For me cryptocurrencies are better than a regular currency after all it is easier to pay with especially when a transaction is done online. Even if that's the case, we need both currency to survive because cryptocurrencies cannot be used directly to buy the things we need for our daily living, that's why we convert it into fiat. Because of this reason I choose We need both in the poll.
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Wallet on: June 18, 2017, 11:00:53 PM
]To be honest I had to create an online Bitcoin wallet, because having a Bitcoin wallet application, I'm not sure that it will work adequately. Something I can not understand how well applications run on different operating systems. But online wallet on a certain site I am more or less satisfied. There are only risks that I worry about.
If you really worry about the risk why not use the blockchain web wallet? I think blockchain web wallet is one of the safest wallet to store many bitcoin online and one of the most trusted. Even if that is the case it is safer to use wallet applications sometimes where you have complete control over your private keys but for now understand how they work or run on different operating systems.
1119  Economy / Economics / Re: How to TAX Bitcoin. An easy way ! on: June 17, 2017, 11:18:16 AM
You can tax bitcoin that way but government could not tax all of one's bitcoin because one person can only give 1 of his/her address and keep most of his/her bitcoin on other addresses that he will not mention to the government. That way he/she can evade tax in bitcoin. Even if it is illegal, how would they know if someone is evading bitcoin tax? So the one who will do it has a high probability of not being punished by doing this.
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The announcement from Bixin Pool: We support of the upgrade of Bitcoin protocol on: June 17, 2017, 01:02:13 AM
Thank you for supporting segwit others must follow your decision, after all, the upgrade of bitcoin protocol to segwit2X might be the solution to this long transaction times we are experiencing right. I believe that by implementing segwit2X in bitcoin, it would be back to normal transaction speeds and will attract more new users as well. I hope others pools will start to support segwit too.
