1101  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin tax and regulation experts? Make some BTC for your knowledge! $$$ on: June 11, 2013, 01:52:08 PM
Bitcoin businesses could be taxed just like any other business. Bitcoin users aren't going to pay anything but transaction fees. It's just not worth the effort for any government to try to regulate and tax all the transactions that come to and from their country.

So you think the government are going to allow every bitcoin user to not pay tax because they dont know how to tax it?

If they see any income on your bank account, they surely know how to tax it Smiley
1102  Economy / Services / Re: Unlocking Phones for BTC on: June 11, 2013, 01:50:58 PM
seems legit ... (or not).
1103  Economy / Services / Re: Be a mod on CoinChat. 1 BTC a month. on: June 11, 2013, 01:49:59 PM
How long should it take? 1 hour per day? Less? More?

I still can't figure why you invest some much time and money in that project.
1104  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitfinex is a scam. on: June 11, 2013, 01:46:34 PM
II. Running stolen, bug ridden software (the old Bitcoinica codebase) that has already proven itself useless in the marketplace (three times!)

OK, noted. I will do my own due diligence.

1105  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long to "absorb" rich guy's coins? on: June 11, 2013, 09:56:47 AM
No, not "fundamentals have changed,"

Fundamentals never changed so far.
Never positive, also. Smiley

Bitcoin is still overpriced.
1106  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox steals 3.46700611 BTC! on: June 11, 2013, 09:52:12 AM
Mtgox is not a charity. They have all rights to keep those btc.
If I sent you some btc, that would be nice if you send it back to me after I contact you. But that's not compulsory.
We've heard this argument before on this forum, the result was that 80% of the forum is honest and has some integrity while others are happy to excuse away their dishonesty with "you should have known better than to trust me". Hell, I did exactly that as a prank last year. You're fighting a losing battle, mate.

80 % of the forum might have their integrity as long as they do not receive any valuable amount of bitcoins, which is likely to be lifetime ...
Does not change anything though.

1109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox steals 3.46700611 BTC! on: June 11, 2013, 09:44:05 AM
Alleged victim sent BTC to MtGox, but used a MtGox address that was not tied their account as a "Funding Address".

So, your title is wrong and misleading.

The alleged "victim" made a donation to Mtgox and now is crying for some bitcoins.

Mtgox is not a charity. They have all rights to keep those btc.
If I sent you some btc, that would be nice if you send it back to me after I contact you. But that's not compulsory.
And you keeping the btc, will not make you a thief. You did not steal anything, if I sent you the bitcoins in the first place.
You don't have to give it back to me if you don't want to.

Case solved.

1116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LR closed where all those money will go? on: June 10, 2013, 09:37:32 AM
A lot of money been transacted via LR (1.4 bil) in last 5 months. With LR now down what implication for bitcoin exchanges can be. That can be real bad for bitcoins if bitcoins exchanges names will start appearing in indictments related to credit cards frauds and such.

That does not really matter.
Even if some bitcoins are seized, it will not make bitcoin more useful (or useless).
