11001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: October 25, 2016, 09:18:47 AM
Since I'm not losing a lot of money with gambling I was never going to stop it for good. I do think sometimes that I spend a lot of time on gambling though, so in that sense yes, I stop spending much time on it and then after a while I start it all over again.
11002  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Irak bans alcohol on: October 25, 2016, 09:13:34 AM
what do you mean by irak ,are you talking about the country IRAQ banning alcohol,i thought alcohol is already banned being a muslim country,so whats the issue now, people who needs alcohol will still brew at home

Islam forbids the consumption of alcohol, but it has always been available in Iraq’s larger cities, so if it will be really banned from now on it's something new. I'm not sure people will still brew alcoholic beverages at home because the law, passed late on Saturday night, imposes a fine of up to 25m Iraqi dinars (£17,000) for anyone violating the ban.
11003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: October 24, 2016, 06:42:47 PM
The easiest way to make a profit from gambling is depositing 1 BTC on a reputable dice site, hit the MAX button and bet it with 50% winning chance. I've seen this many times on Primedice: Total Bets: 1; Total Wagered: 1 BTC; Total Profit: 1 BTC; Total Wins: 1; Total Losses: 0. And that's it. The guy rains around 0.05 in the chat and goes away happy.

Of course you can also lose your bet, but you were asking about "the easiest way".
11004  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: October 24, 2016, 06:29:59 PM
I think an adult person should have the right to have a gun if that person can successfully pass some tests on mental health. And in the case that person is caught doing anything illegal or showing mental unstability the gun should be confiscated immediately.

I don't have a gun and I'm not going to, but I think free people should have the right to have it.
11005  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should England leave the UK on: October 24, 2016, 06:11:45 PM
I don't think separation is a good idea. I even was hoping UK wouldn't leave the EU. If you have more or less the same culture you should unite and thus become stronger instead of becoming separate small weak countries which can be conquered easily by united nations with absolutely different culture.
11006  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: October 24, 2016, 05:39:07 PM
I guess the reason why I cannot use bitcoin in a day to day basis is because the price of it is not stable. You might be buying an item now for 0.001BTC and then the next day it's just 0.0008BTC. You just lost 0.0002BTC in that case. I know it's not that much difference in other people's perspective but it's also applicable with bigger transactions and the bigger the transaction, the bigger loss you'll get if the price of bitcoin moves. On a more happier thought, you can also save money with this price fluctuations.

That's why it is always good to have at least 1 Bitcoin apart from the money you are spending. Say you bought a thing for 0.01 yesterday when Bitcoin was $600 and today you see that the price of it is 0.008 because the price of Bitcoin is $750. Yes, you have lost 0.002 BTC, which is $1.5, because of the price rising, but at the same time you are +$150 because of the same thing.
11007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: October 24, 2016, 05:23:32 PM
This article is useless IMO. Here's one of their advices for example:

Quote
Develop your own gambling strategy: You will need to develop your own gambling style. You should try to make it completely different from all other players and always know when to stop.

I don't understand why is your gambling strategy should be "completely different from all other players". How exactly it makes your gambling profitable? And if I want to follow a strategy of a person who is winning constantly why is it a bad thing?
11008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: October 24, 2016, 03:53:04 PM
President of the Philippines decided to cleanse our nation of this shit. And rightly so. It's time to do it.

Guys, I don't mean to say anything against your president because I don't know him, but it's a known fact that prohibitive measures don't work. Rather than throwing grug users to jail where they almost surely will become dangerous criminals it's much better to create a society where everybody knows that drug using is bad, not because the society says so, but because it is really bad for your physical and mental health and also because it affects not only you but it hurts those who care about you too.
It would be great if you can mention a society where everybody thinks that drugs is NOT bad for the physical and mental health. Honestly, if that's all that it takes to deal with this drug addicts, then maybe our world should have no drug addict at all because what you described is actually what is the basic perspective of everyone in a society about drugs.

Every single person knows how bad drug affects our health. There are articles all around the Internet showing the before and after of different sorts of drug addictions.

Having a lot of anti-drug propaganda doesn't mean it is effective. Unfortunately most of those TV programs, articles and such are just stupid and unconvincing. That's why youth doesn't believe them. What I meant is effective anti-drug publications and films which this world only have a few.

Do you think that the poster above is effective? No. The kids will put it on the wall and will smoke right under it.
11009  Economy / Gambling / Re: Boiled Brains - new game on: October 24, 2016, 03:13:02 PM
Boiled Brains is a easy, logical game for two players.
This is like turn-based TRON.
We are currently testing Boiled Brains. If you help us, you receive bonus from us.

I have registered on your site in order to test it, but it looks like it's impossible to do anything there without depositing or am i getting this wrong? What can I do there to test your site? What does "Remained moves" mean?

Now I'm really confused. Maybe that's why it is called "Boiled Brains" though. Smiley
11010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix Executive Wants Bitcoin as Global Currency, Considers It Cost-Effective on: October 24, 2016, 02:20:26 PM
Why would the netflix executives wants bitcoin as a global currency since netfilx is a US based business model and you cannot subscribe to netflix without a US based VPN if you are not from the US,so i dont understand the logic behind it .

According to Netflix, it is available in every country except China, Crimea, North Korea and Syria.
oh i didnt know that netflix was available elsewhere,i thought you can view only with an US based IP

I thought so too several months ago but what I didn't know is that the situation have changed significantly in 2016 when it had become available everywhere worldwide outside of Mainland China, Syria, North Korea and the territory of Crimea. So no need of using VPN to stream Netflix anymore.

Btw a friend of mine told me that you can buy a lifetime Netflix account for a fraction of a US Dollar in BTC on a Darknet market. So whether the Netflix CEOs are aware of this or not people are already buying Netflix accounts for BTC.

really all that matters
an Anon that indicates to public officials that ALL is on the record

Wow! Lots of people are donating to them. They've got more than 3 BTC today alone. I rarely read WikiLeaks but I think it's nice having the guys around. I think governments would turn into total vampires without someone watching their steps like these guys are.
11012  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: October 23, 2016, 11:32:15 AM
I just talked with dev. We will most likely implement popup that you will be able to disable if its annoying.
It'll be a nice feature (disabling the max button), it's been suggested many times, but it was never taken into consideration.

Yeah I agree, many mentioned this in the past numerious times and it was never removed or disabled. I assumed it was to make money off the misfortunes of others who hit that button by mistake.

Actually I've heard many times how people were hitting the MAX button by mistake and winning big because of that, but I agree that this button should be placed somewhere far from reaching it by mistake.

Also I personally don't think Primedice is so evil to keep that button there to make money off the misfortunes of the people who hit that button by mistake and lose. They are doing okay without such tricks IMO. Smiley
11013  Economy / Economics / Re: How to deal with the "bitcoin has no physical existence" argument? on: October 23, 2016, 11:07:42 AM
knowing the bills on their wallet are no more than regular papers representing x units of the virtual currency y, which is backed by thin air and its supply is limited only by the paper and ink in stock or the printing capacities of the machine that does them?

And may I ask you sir, what is Bitcoin backed by?  Roll Eyes
In any case, does it really matter that fiat is not backed by anything? What would you like it to be backed by? Gold? And who decides that gold holds any value? Gold or thin air, who cares as long as you can use it to buy anything you want. The whole system is built around fiat, if fiat fails, everything fails so it's in the interest of everyone, people, government banks etc that it doesn't. The very concept of money is based on thin air.

I agree with this. People who are saying that fiat money are backed by something, they just have too much faith in what they are told by the governments. Whether Bitcoin is backed by something valuable and physical from the point of an individual depends a lot on their perception because actually you can buy gold and other precious metals with Bitcoin.
11014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Questions about the war on: October 23, 2016, 10:18:58 AM
Obama and Hillary make war. That's why there is so many wars.

Blaming the most influential country in all the evils in the world is the easiest thing to do. If you don't like how the things are you should create a more powerful country than USA and then to try to keep the world in order without wars. Good luck with that!
11015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addict....!!!!! Are you??? on: October 23, 2016, 10:10:31 AM
When I say to a common man that I do gambling, automatically he thinks that I'm a gambling addict. Is this true that everyone getting into gambling is an addict. I have limitations as well control upon the time as well amount spend on gambling. Secondly, anyone among you got addicted and realized that we need a self control to be on the safer side.

I don't think that everyone who gamble from to time is a gambling addict. Same goes for those who drinks alcoholic beverages or plays computer games once in a week. Are they addicted? Certainly they are not. As far as you can controll yourself you can do lots of things which considered dangerous to do all the time without stopping.
11016  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: October 23, 2016, 09:55:51 AM
The big crash was already happened, and now time to seat back and prepare yourself cause bitcoin will absolutely fly to moon in no time.
I also believe that bitcoin wil fly to the moon but honestly this is hard to predict that. it is also possible that bitcoin price crash again in comming days.. lets see.

Well, Bitcoin is only rising and rising in the past days. I think it can hit $700 and then stop there for a while (around 6 months I guess) and after that it will start rising again. People have learned from the past mistakes so I think there will be no over_thousand_bubble this time.
11017  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastDice.com LAUNCHED | Fast Rolls | Fast Deposits | Fast Wins |Daily Happy Hour on: October 23, 2016, 09:47:24 AM
They updated their cover photo less than 3 weeks ago on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/fastdicecom

and on the main site's page they are saying "FastDice is under new management and will be back shortly." so I guess they are not dead. It would be great if they would update something here on bitcointalk too though.

11019  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you hate about Bitcoin ? on: October 23, 2016, 08:20:06 AM
What I really hate is that most people around me still never heard about Bitcoin. It would be much more convenient if you had an opportunity to sell any amount in BTC immediately to someone you know and get local cash from them.
11020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win gambling with no lose? on: October 22, 2016, 06:56:24 PM
Hey! Good day! I really want to know the secret of how to win and not to lose because i am afraid to join the life of a gambler it might make me addicted to it if i lose. When i lose im the one who never gives up >.< im afraid to be addicted and i want to win no matter the cause  Angry Angry

Actually it's when you win you have much more chances to be addicted. People who lose in the first try generally quit it for good, otherwise they would look like a man who is trying to ruin a brick wall with his head shouting "I'm not a quitter!".

So if you don't want to be addicted beware of winnings.
