He means you should post your Bitcoin address on this topic : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.2800
once you do that , people will quote your post and you will be able to sign message on the future to proove ownership of the account later . In case anything happens (hacked , stolen , lost password) , theymos will recover the account .

That's a pretty good idea. I guess it is useful if users did this upon registering or something. Not useful for older accounts, as the person staking an address could have already compromised it etc.

Anyways....back to my situation...is Theymos the only one that could help me? Any other mods?  Sad

EDIT - I just replied from the account I have actually been using on my laptop until today. Doh

Moderators don't have access to the database so I suppose they can't recover accounts .
there is two moderators on the forums : BadBear , Theymos but I guess they have different jobs and I guess only theymos recover the accounts so yes ... he is the one who can help you only .
11022  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy on: January 06, 2016, 01:35:08 PM
I did a deposit here because of dogecoin different price.
On other exhange price is:31 satoshi per dogecoin
On cryptsy:42 satoshi per dogecoin.
What cause is this difference?

Never thought that they maybe do that to attract customers and then steal their funds ? or maybe because a lot of users dropped them and not using it anymore , so the price should logically not be the same since the supply-demand is not the same .
11023  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy on: January 06, 2016, 01:25:31 PM
Sorry but I have to say that it's your fault , I mean there is two billion trillion topic about Cryptsy scamming people lately (last few weeks/months) ... and people still depositing money and starting their service ? It's not like they are the only exchange on the world... Let's start :

It's just little list , you can find much more . It doesn't matter if your issue is related to this or not , you shouldn't use them on the first place .
11024  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Predict the price for January 1, 2017 on: January 06, 2016, 12:56:47 PM
To be realistic , I will say something between 1500$ - 2000$ , main reason of this will be definitely the halving block reward and OpenBazaar may give the price a boost as-well (other projects may help too but OpenBazaar will be the biggest) .
But... I'm hoping that the price fall to like 300$ before the halving block reward happens because I feel that the price will rise as I said above and I won't have enough BTC's Grin so hopefully it falls so I can buy more .
11025  Other / Meta / Re: [Help] Change Email / Password on: January 06, 2016, 12:47:21 PM
By stake an address, I presume you mean save an email address?

Unfortunately can't do this as it requires the password to save.

Make sure to use an address from where you can sign (Electrum , Multibit HD , Bitcoin Core etc ..) and not exchanges because you don't own the private keys needed to sign a messagee there .
11026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin using Visa/Paypal ? on: January 06, 2016, 12:17:03 PM
Yea...virwox fees are ridiculous.

Have you tried skrill/moneybookers? Could deposit with Visa there and then trade for Bitcoin. Gonna be tough to buy BTC with Visa/pp without paying a bit of a premium.

Deposit to Skrill using my Visa card then trade for Bitcoin where exactly ? Virwox.com ? It's the same fees :

11027  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: suchnekky - scam 2.5g bitgold on: January 06, 2016, 11:58:19 AM
He blocked skype me, and give me proof fake, i can show full log chat

Yes post everything needed on the original post , I left negative trust for the moment .
If he cares about his account then he will probably try to appeal here or META section , also maybe the account is hacked ,since I see that he changed the password recently like you see here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=326437
11028  Other / Meta / Re: [Help] Change Email / Password on: January 06, 2016, 11:28:18 AM
To be honest, I thought this account was lost until I randomly opened this site on my phone.

If you see my history, I posted images of a miner.

I was thinking I could post these again but include my forum name or message...

See this : http://fieldguide.gizmodo.com/how-to-find-long-last-passwords-hiding-in-your-browser-1638976827
You may be able to get the password if it's saved I suppose .
11029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin After Death - The Will... on: January 06, 2016, 11:15:15 AM
Do you really don't trust anyone ? In that case why would you care for who the money goes ?
I'd personally give them to any of my family members and I would trust them (It doesn't matter how much the amount is) without the need of making multi signature wallet or anything .
11030  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin pool on: January 06, 2016, 10:05:04 AM
tnx for replay and one question , i saw this tutorial ,, is this only lite and dogecoin pool or bitcoin too , or how i can choose which mining pool i want to set up ?

I'm really not sure since I don't have much knowledge in this area , but according to OP you can edit this

I've used the relatively new guncoin as my practice coin for this video but obviously this could easily be modified for any scrypt based altcoin, or quark, etc

and the last post on the thread (first page) :

Thanks for the videos.  It took a bit of coaxing, but I got bitcoin to work on it.  I just saw that you updated it for the changes in MPOS.  That was a pain to figure out why I couldn't get to it.  Still not sure about the stats showing in MPOS, but at least it seems to be working.  I've also got an eliopool working.  Any chance of being able to integrate MPOS as the front end for it?
11031  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin pool on: January 06, 2016, 09:37:51 AM
You shouldn't find it hard to do since it's with video : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613930.0
11032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Buying Bitcoin using Visa/Paypal ? on: January 06, 2016, 09:23:33 AM
I have my Visa card linked to my paypal , so I can either use Paypal & use the Visa linked to it (since  I don't have funds in paypal) or I can use directly the visa card .

I want to know which services offer buying using Paypal or Visa card (with lowest fees possible) , I was going to use Virwox.com but we all know how things are with the fees there ...

P.S : I prefer services that don't ask for information's (e.g passport , ID , residence etc ..)
11033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: please share on: January 06, 2016, 08:46:14 AM
Would somebody be generous enough to share in bitcoin core 0.11.2 its Blocks folder that contains files like blk0001.dat rev0001.dat etc. Please don't share blockchain ie bootstrap.dat bcoz that doesn't seem to be working in my case.Thanks.

It will take a lot of time for someone to upload it for you then you to download it , but since you are willing to do that ...
why not just clean the whole folder and let Bitcoin Core download it from zero ? that way you make sure everything is fine .
11034  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 06, 2016, 08:39:02 AM
Like you said last time , It seems like it took five days for me to receive the funds from my Paypal account (same thing for the refunds ,it didn't take 14 days , only 5 ).

Anyway , I want to know if Paypal have any control on the Visa card ? I mean can they take the money from the Visa card for one reason or another ? & if my account get limited (paypal) is the card funds are going to be affected somehow ? (I know that I probably won't be able to take the card off if they limit the account , but how about the funds ? Iwill still be able to use it etc .. ? )
11035  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: January 06, 2016, 08:33:55 AM
Are you using the same algorithm as here ? I thought you guys use all the same however it seems like I'm getting two different results when I use them : http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php
11036  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: suchnekky - scam 2.5g bitgold on: January 06, 2016, 08:07:58 AM
His profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=326437

Did he said anything else after saying that XAPO wallet is taking too long (whatever that means) ? and when that happened exactly ?
Also it's not up to Moderators or administration to do anything , it's forum users who leave negative trust on profiles of people so they can't scam once again , they don't get banned or anything because what's the point if they will just make a new account .

11037  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling 36g bitgold on: January 06, 2016, 08:00:41 AM

11038  Other / Meta / Re: My Account In bitcointalk Was Hack on: January 06, 2016, 07:55:38 AM
If you posted an address with your account before and you still own the private keys of that address then you can sign a message like it says here and send it to theymos : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
11039  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I'm buying bitgold with btc. on: January 06, 2016, 07:45:42 AM
As requested from OP , I'm posting my second review for our second transaction .
I sold him 0.200 grams of gold and everything went fine just like last time , I went first ... I agreed to wait until Bitgold confirms the transactions , once that was done , he sent me the funds in BTC .
11040  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying hero account BTCT on: January 05, 2016, 05:30:47 PM
Still looking for one.

I'm not sure if you ignored my message or just didn't see it ... how much you are looking to pay for an account with 490++ Activity ? (no bans , no loans , no negative trust or anything like that) .
