It's a long shot but if Emery can win the CL, he won't be given the sack.  If it weren't for the unlucky draw at the quarter finals, and PSG reaches the semi finals...  I think they have a good shot at the CL trophy.  A squad's psychology in playing vs a better team is different during the quarter finals than the semis and the finals.  Inferior clubs tend to play a different level in the final stages of a tournament.

And Emery's experience in the Europa League could come in handy. 

Yup, in the first half City failed to mark Walcott.  But it was still a dominant performace from them, especially in the second half.  They totally deserved the win.  I wish they could play with that kind of intensity at every game.

Stoke was more fortunate the ref got the call wrong on Vardy.  That was not a red card imho.  And it was Stoke's own fault for being complacent in the second half, conceding two goals.  Fortunate for LCFC?  Maybe, but I'm leaning towards no.  They worked hard for it.  It wasn't like they were gifted two easy goals.

That's an ignorant post.  If you watch the EPL regularly and have followed it for some time, we all know that Tony Pulis has more of a knack for defense and likes to play long balls for the counter.  Vs Mourinho's style, do you think it will even work?  Mou also has a knack for defensive play, so saying that this game should have ended with both teams scoring is just plain wrong.

To Mourinho's credit, I like the adjustments he has made by playing a 4 3 3 with Pogba as the wide midfielder and given the freedom to roam around and go forward.  He probably studied how effectively he was used in Juventus.

Maybe.  But see how Kante is played by their manager.  He is given the freedom to move forward if he sees there's an opportunity.  I think if Chelsea got Verratti, he'll play more of a deep lying, central midfield role, with Kante moving forward.

Now thinking about it...  Falconer, I think we may have found Carrick's replacement for Man United.  Yup, it's Verratti.  He could play the Pirlo role at United.

Yeah, Bottas seems to be it.  Toto Wolff said they're making the announcement by January 3 or something.  Next season will be more interesting if they gave it to Vettel.  I'm curious how both will do vs each other in the same car.

And if you noticed this is the second match in a row that scored under 2 goals.  The managers may have already analyzed Conte's tactics and are tweaking their strategy against Chelsea's 3 4 3.  Klopp could just be the manager to unsettle Conte's squad with high pressure in the midfield and relentless attacks.

Seems like PSG is being raided.  The latest Chelsea transfer news says that Conte wants to sign Verrati.  It didn't say when but Conte is definitely interested.  Imagine Kante and Verrati side by side in the midfield.  They would be unstoppable and I fancy they could go for a CL trophy next season if they do sign him.
